Henry looked at her sternly. "I'm not bleeding enough to go back yet. You must believe me. We only want the best for you. The captain is an old man. He doesn't know you. With time, he'll come to care about you as much as we do." He picked up the apple and got to his feet, bending to reach her hight. "I disobeyed orders and took the southern route for a reason. I found you for a reason. I protected you with my life for a reason. Everything that happens is meant to be. You cannot change fate. It's fate. Even if you try to avoid it, it has a way of coming back to you," with that he handed her the apple, patted her on the shoulder fondly and wandered off into the trees.
He felt a bit delerious and had no idea where he was going; he just followed his feet. Soon, he began to get very dizzy and leaned on a tree for support. A man in a top hat appeared in front of him. "Good evening, Colonel Cosgrove. I am Lord Brown." Henry nodded politely. "I believe you have something that I want. A certain human?"
Henry stood up straight and held his head high. "What do you want with her. She has done you no harm."
"Not yet, but she is what we believe to be a key to the last existing door. She could be the solution to our little human infestation. We could rid ourselves once and for all of their pollution."
"No," Henry breathed. "The pollution is people like you with their prejudices. She is a sweet and innocent girl. She deserves to be here as much as you and I." Lord Brown chuckled. "She's not as innocent as you think, colonel."
"I won't let you take her."
Lord Brown heaved a sigh. "I'm sorry you feel that way. Well, I bid you adieu." He vanished. Henry could no longer sense him; he was well out of the city. He heaved a sigh and slumped to the ground. His wounds were bleeding heavily and he was beginning to freeze. He knew he could never make it back on his own. He closed his eyes. "What happens, happens," he whispered.

I wanted to say more but i knew he was right. I stayed quiet as the Colonel spoke. I took the apple and watched him go into the Trees. I wanted to follow but I knew he was.mad at me. My sense came on as I felt someone near. I turn and saw a fury. "Not another one." I threw the apple as it caught it. I was about to run until I was.surrounded. The only thing behind me was water. I caught one of the hands of a fury as I kicked another back but the one I had pushed me back. "John!" I screamed as I didn't know why.i called his name. I hit myself in the head and then felt pain in my side as I hit the water. I was sinking as memories came back to me. A man in a top hat grabbed me roughly. "Come now Keira I am not going to hurt you." I tried getting my hands free as he held tight. "Let go of me. Go back to where you belong." It was a patroling gone bad as I destroyed all doors from the human world. The orphanage was destroyed as I fought my way to save it. I was staying in the other world as I.scaraficed my human life to protect and keep balance between both worlds. "Keira your the door between human world and other world. That's why your special and must stay here at all times." Mother Sarah said as she was teaching me how to fight at three years old. Time skipped as I was staring at the man in the top hat as he back handed me and I fell back. "Come now Keira, the pain will stop when you agree to help find the door." He kicked me in the ribs as I was sent flying into the water. "What a peity but she will die soon anyways and when she returns I shall make sure of it."I was sinking as I couldn't breath anymore. I knew this was the end as I was going to die but if I die then it means the door that I hold will open to the human world. I am not just the Death Dealer who kills all of those that are wicked and bring harm to disturb the balance between both worlds, I am also the key to save or destroy mankind. I must die in order for the door to open and that is why I will forever be hunted but I must die by the hands of those who desire the door.

John's concern grew deep. The colonel had not returned for some time. Wandered outside into the wild of the estate. The sounds of growls reached his ears and then he heard his name. Kira. He ran as fast as he could toward her and saw a score of creatures surrounding her. They caught sight of him and took off running for the woods. He reached Keira. She was very cold and laying half on the ground, half in the lake, mumbling something. He took off his blue cloak and wrapped it around her. He sat there holding her, trying to wake her up and get her warm. "Come on, Keira, wake up. We need to find the colonel!" She lay there shivering. Finally, he felt he could do no more. He picked her up and brought her inside to the room the captain had prepared for her. It was large and the red and gold colors matched her dress. They were the colors of the army. He lay her on the bed under a thick blanket and lit the fire in the fire place. He scanned the bookshelf until he found what he was looking for - a small hand bound notebook detailing the history of the estate, complete with map. He met the captain in the hall after instructing a hand maiden to look in on Keira and together they left to find the colonel .

I was shivering as I was cold. I wanted to wake up but couldn't. My memories flashed. "Your special Keira. We jnew you were the moment we set wyes on you. You can do things that no human can't. You can create doors to other world." I was burning up as I started to feel pain. "No Keira its ok. The pain will go away soon. Shh don't cry. Its so know one can find you." I cried as the pain wouldn't stop.My memories stirred my power but I was too weak as it disappeared and hid in the depth of my mind. I coughed as I was hot but my eyes wouldn't open.

Henry was bleeding heavily. The cold was setting in. He wondered if Keira was back inside, safe. His curiosity turned to worry, and then into panic as he heard shouts. He pictured her face as clearly as he could and readied himself to teleport to her.
He opened his eyes, bleeding more heavily and feeling a pounding in his head. He put a hand to it in agony. He looked around and found himself in a room. He whipped around and found Keira laying in a bed. She was breathing heavily and emitting heat. He stuck his head into the hall and saw a hand maiden sitting outside of a door at the top of the stairs leading down to the first floor. So, we're on the second floor, he concluded. He called for her and she ran to him.
"Yes, sir?"
"This girl is feverish. Fetch some water and a healer." She ran down the hall, down the stairs, and out of sight. He returned to Keira and sat on the edge of the bed. "Miss Keira, can you hear me?" Her head felt warm to the touch.
The woman returned with a gray haired healer, a pitcher, and an empty glass. He took them from her and poured the cold water into the empty base of the glass. He lifted her head and gently brought her lips to the edge, pouring the chilled liquid into her mouth; she drank and he returned her head to the pillow. The healer leaned over her and shook his head. "I'll need to go gather some herbs. I'll return shortly."

I felt something cold to my lips as I swallow. I breath heavily as I coughed some more. The pain in my arms and ribs brought me back into a hellish nightmare of memories. "We need to defend the front and not let these werewolves through." I pulled out my sword as I was Captain at the age of fourteen. I stood infront of the line as we.collided. Blood was shedding as I was covered in it." I open my eyes as I shot up. "Must leave." I whispeared. (Sorry Captain, I was going off what you said about being a door but went in the wrong direction. I edit my post. Forgive me.)

Henry turned his back as the healer came in with Captain Munroe. "We've been looking for you everywhere! What happened," the captain asked Henry. "I'm not sure. Do you know a Lord Brown? He said something about her being a key to the one existing door in our world. The one she came through in the Badlands. Apparently, she can seal it off for good."
Captain Munroe exhaled sharply. "The key...? Then... all the humans could leave?"
"That is the general school of thought, yes. But you're not considering it? They have just as much right to be here as we do."
"Well, yes, but... our war against the vampires could be at an end. With the humans gone, their slaves would be liberated. They'd no longer be raised as cattle." Henry remained silent for a while. "That is one good result... but what would it do to her?" He heard Keira whisper something, but decided it was feverish mumblings and did not turn around.
"I think we'd better teach her our history. All of it. And maybe, just maybe, we'll run across something about a key." Henry nodded in agreement.

O I heard every word. I was breathing heavily and I coughed again. I shook my head. "My lords you are wrong and yiu are right. As much as it looks like the answer is that simple,.i am afraid its not. We humans use to be able to leave but the high power in the human world had made a very hard decision. And now it would seem there is only one door left." I coughed again as I was feeling sleepy but I pushed my tiredness away. "Lord Colonel prehaps you tell Lord JOhn your here safely."

John collapsed in exhaustion in the hallway of the first floor. At least he knew the colonel was safe - the healer had told them so while he was picking herbs. He unfastened his white silk shirt part of the way so that he could breathe easier; he had run all over the grounds looking for the colonel and now he was finding it difficult to draw air into his lungs. He closed his eyes as fatigue set in. The sun had almost fully risen by now. The anti-humanity groups had failed. All would be well, for a little while at least. He fell into a troubled sleep. John was in the Badlands in the aftermath of a sandstorm. The sky was dark. Chaos reigned. The colonel lay bloody, his face had been scarred and his chest had been ripped open. A winged figure stood over him, healing him with a bright blue ball of energy. He nodded thanks to the Guardian. Several more were scattered throughout the scene. He could see the door spattered with blood. No longer invisible, but a cracked white door - very visible - in the middle of the barren land. His ears were ringing and he felt as if his entire body had been crushed under a trumendous weight. The air was thick, moist, and very hot. That's when he noticed her at the base of the door, her limp form pale. His heart stopped as he realized that it was her blood that had sprayed the door so violently. He ran to her and dropped to his knees. Her skin was cold. He threw back his head and crowed an anguished cry to the gods. His tears fell to land on her face. He couldn't bring himself to accept it - Keira was dead.He opened his eyes and shot straight up. A woman startled. "Oh, dear. You gave me a fright. Were you sleeping?" It was the woman from the shop. She had two brown wrapped parcels in her arms. "Well, here you are, young John. Your clothes all washed and repaired." He took them, shaking himself out of his daze, "Oh. Yes..." She smiled and gave him a quick squeeze of the hand as he took the packages. "Don't worry. There's still hope for her life. You can always change the stars. Yes?" She smiled and tottered off down the stairs. By the time John realized what she had said, she was nowhere to be found. Still hope for her life...? I can save her!

"My lords. Before you decide to tell me anything, do you wishe for me to tell you why almost everyone wants me? Just by telling you what the humans decide will let you understand more of thevsituation. I didn't realize that it has come to this and in all honesty I was not suppose to be found." I coughed again as I felt hot.

Henry and the captain turned to face Keira. "You take your medicine, get some food in you, and then we will talk," the captain told her. The healer continued mixing his potions. "That's right," he chipped in, "We need to quell that fever of yours." Henry nodded. The captain nudged him. "Do you think she has her memory back?"
"It's quite possible. But I doubt she knows how to seal the door."
"Well, according to her, there are several still open. I thought we sealed them all," the captain said, perplexed.
"Maybe we didn't seal them properly. This Lord Brown had said she was the key. If she doesn't know how to seal them, she at least knows something that could help us. It's worth hearing what she has to say, Thomas." Captain Thomas Munroe nodded.
The healer handed Keira a bowl of the grainy potion and watched her drink it down. Henry began to ask her a question, but the healer stopped him. "Not yet, colonel. She needs to eat, and you need a shirt... and quite a few stitches." Henry sighed and sank into a chair. The healer handed him a large glass of brandy. "This should help the pain."
Without hesitation, the healer stabbed a sanitized needle into the flesh around his wounds. He paled. His stomach lurched as he gulped down the brandy quietly. He refused to look down at his chest - he was sure it was a complete bloody mess. The maid brought a tray of food to Keira - filled with roast beef, mashed potatoes, various fruits and vegetables, and some bread. The scent of the food turned his stomach. He had not eaten in three days, though to be fair he'd been dead for almost an entire day.
She looked at him. "Go ahead," he told her, holding back a shout of pain, "Eat." He forced himself to smile as the needle snagged his skin and drew the wound closed. He could feel his flesh moving and grew even more pale. The maid refilled his brandy as he leaned back and closed his eyes, trying not to think about being stitched together like a rag doll.

I was going to answer his questions until the healer stopped him. I drank down the medicine as it didn't have a very good taste. I made a face as I swallowed but it felt it work. I lost track of the last time I ate until I realized it was with John. "My lord John will be alright out there by himself? I'm sure.he is looking for you and now I feel like its my fault you got hurt again." I saw the food get placed down before me. I was going ask if its alright until the Colonel said it was alright. "Your not hungry my lord?" I took the fruit.as I took a bite slowly eatting it. I felt awkward eatting infront of them.

"Don't worry about John," Henry told Keira, "I'm sure he's fine. And no, thank you. Food would not do me well at the moment." His stomach lurched and blood spilled down his chest. He opened his eyes and looked down at the bloody mess that was his torso. He took another swig of brandy and launched into the history of Otherworld they'd all learned in the academy.
"Before the humans discovered Otherworld, it was teeming with mythical creatures (and many more kinds) who believed humans did not exist. The more animal-like creatures live on the outskirts; other more refined (and more powerful) creatures live toward the capitol of Azure City. To the west of the city are The Badlands, where you came into our world. To the east are the Crystal Mines and small cities. The north is widely unexplored and the south is filled with beautiful white beaches and resorts - this is where John and I are from. The south is mainly full of travellers and nobles or aristocrats and villages of farmlands. Those lands are owned or protected by said nobles and aristocrats. The most ominous territory in all of Otherworld is th floating city above Azure City, Ravenheart... Humans discovered doors around their world that led to The Badlands of Otherworld. Since then, humans have been steadily streaming in, though the human world remains largely ignorant of our existance; humans are now a regular sight and make up almost twenty percent of Otherworld's population. While most have accepted them (who now hold jobs and homes, and even political and military positions), there are those that see the humans as a corruption to their once rich and refined world. These individuals are campaigning to have the humans removed in mass exodus to their own world and to have the doors sealed - you've encountered some of them already. As part of a compromise, representatives of each class and race gathered at a summit and ultimately decided to let the humans remain and seal off all but one well hidden door. This final door is located in the heart of The Badlands. The door is shrouded by mystery, only transporting people to Otherworld sporadically, and never transporting anyone to the human world. Since the door rarely works, officials saw no need to guard the door," he finished. The captain moved to stand behind the colonel and spoke directly to Keira.
"But now we may have a problem, Keira," the captain said, "It seems the anti-humanity groups are plotting something much bigger than what we've thought. And it appears that you may be the key to sealing the final door - and all of the other doors - for good. Do you know anything - anything at all - that might help us? Even the slightest detail."
