Zar actually got up in a rare show of proper pushy behaviour, stormed over to the photo and lay it down on the table. "She wasn't wearing THAT cardigan right either." he all but snarled. "And don't OGLE my mother. Or I'll... I'll.. I'll be very cross." As threats went, it wasn't exactly a terrifying one.
"Father says she's just going through a very long phase."

"VERY long faze indeed~" He cooed in an all-too playful tone. Still making a rather disappointed face at Zar for flipping the frame over. Banning him from oggling.
"I dunno why you don't show her off more. She's very pretty." He raised his furry brow line at Zar.

"She's not a pet you know. I don't just flout her around. She's my mother and even father agrees she's rather embarassing. It doesn't do much for our being taken seriously by other people when mother's so determined to cling to the stereotype." He sat down again on the bed rather heavily this time, still being somewhat pouty and stroppy.
"Besides, I'm sure you've already seen more of her than I'd ever want to even CONSIDER." he shuddered. "What about your parents?" He had to resist the urge in his current irritable mood to make a dig that Nuru's parents were probably too busy chasing squirrel like creatures to be embarassing themselves in public.

"Ah don' mean et like 'at." He pouted meandering lazily after Zar to peer again over the edge of the bed at him. Pouting eveeerr so slightly at the question.
"Ah don' 'ave any." He answered. His expression unchanging as he resumed his staring.

Oh. Well that was awkward. Zar fell silent not sure wether to congratulate Nuru on dodging a bullet or sympathise with him. Things would be very different for him if he'd never had parents. Maybe he'd even be relatively normal. Or..maybe not.
"Well. That's interesting." It would do as noncommital statements went. "I'm sure they'd be better than mine if you did have any though."

Zar gave Nuru a baffled look, completely unable to understand why someone would seem so sad at the idea of having no parents. "I'd offer you mine you know, if they wouldn't totally object to it since they'll only even deal with demons."

"Sure you don't want to see my room?" He asked, his ears perking slightly.

Zar raised a brow, curiosity raising its ugly head. What sort of place would a person like this live in? It was....something he found himself actually wanting to find out.
"Well. We could go. I've never even been to the ghost dormitories. Only these ones."

"Hopefully we won't be in too much trouble for it." Nuru said gaze turning towards Zars bedroom door.
"If anyone asks you thought ah was a stray and you were trying to find my owner?" He chuckled. Now THAT was a joke he determined.

Zar gave Nuru a funny look, still trying to figure out the acceptable parameters of this dog thing. It seemed Nuru could joke about it, but he couldn't. So he wasn't sure wether to agree or not. Simply cleared his throat in what he hoped was a noncommital fashion.
"We shouldn't get in trouble though for it, visits are allowed..I think."

"Ah see... any reason we snuck through here then like I was going to get you kicked out of t'school?" He asked in earnest. He thought it was somehow forbidden for him to be in Zars dorm this entire visit.

"That'd....that's just be me I suppose. I tend to sneak anywhere. I don't want to like, run into anyone. I didn't want to have to explain who you were or anything, when I didn't actually know." He looked at the door, scratching his chin with a claw. "And I didn't want to give people the impression just anyone is allowed into my room."
