Shun closed his eyes as she gently kissed him, then watched as she flopped back down onto his bed. Shifting closer, he went ahead and laid down next to her, placing an arm around the girl. It was a little heartwrenching to hear that she had indeed been plagued by these nightmares. That may explain why she seemed so tired.
"You were sleeping soundly. I had to get up for a moment, though. Not long after I got up, I heard you scream. The nightmare must have come in around that time," he explained quietly. The Reaper wished there was something he could do about these dreams of hers. Perhaps lucid dreaming would help a bit, but he wasn't really sure how to teach her that. He had no dream diving abilities like Xiu. Even then, he hadn't quite been able to master that technique yet.
"You won't be alone though.." he whispered while lightly running his fingers through her hair, "I.. don't know if it'd really help but you're free to sleep here whenever. Or I could go to your room. Either way."

If Shun had moved perhaps that was what had made her dream shift. Mitsu knew nothing of lucid dreaming though Riyo had mentioned talking to Xiu about dreams. Maybe she needed to talk to the ghoul too. "I guess so...I feel like I was sleeping well before but it changed."
It was comforting to hear him say she wouldn't be alone, a faint smile touching her lips as she wiped at her eyes to rid them of any remaining tears. "I would like that." Mitsu nodded as she settled back in beside the reaper, a yawn escaping her again. "M..maybe I will try...to sleep a little longer?" She was finally starting to calm down a little after Shun's reassurance, the fear of being alone not gripping her as tightly.

"Perhaps Xiu can help you more with the nightmares. That is her domain after all. The least I can do is perhaps to help keep them at bay. You may learn how to control your dreams with her help. She has aided me in that, personally," he suggested quietly.
Seeing that smile and yawn, Shun's gaze softened. He gently brushed some of her white hair out of her eyes and nodded to her.
"You're always welcome here, Mitsu. Go ahead and rest. Regain your energy. We can train together tomorrow once you've recovered," he whispered.

It seemed that settled it. At Shun's suggestion Mitsu nodded. "I didn't realize Xiu dealt with dreams." The lycan said softly. She was still very unaware of the ghoul's accidental dream diving adventure during their sleep over. If she was able to help Shun though, perhaps she had some tips for her too. "I will talk to her about it when I see her next."
Mitsu's voice was becoming airy, distant, as she rested against the reaper. Whether she had planned it or not her body begged for sleep, even more so after her short crying fit. Her eyes closed as her head came to rest by Shun's chest, fingers lightly gripping his shirt. It was her way of ensuring he did not leave.
As her mind began to fade a soft murmur left her lips, a gentle, "I love you." Despite his harsh tone with her and the words he had spoken it did not change how she felt. It would take a lot more than that to get rid of her.

Nodding quietly, Shun noticed that Mitsu was starting to sound like she was about to fall asleep again. There was a small amount of relief when he heard her next words. She had forgiven him, indeed.
"I love you too," he whispered while holding her close. He was going to have to make sure he stayed by her side while she slept this time around. The reaper didn't want her to end up falling into another nightmare after all.
