"Shoot around our feet?" Madison looked startled, then tightened her grip on her swords. "Y-yeah, okay. Battles are usually pretty crazy, huh... it would be good practice." She sounded a bit like she was trying to convince herself. Which she was.
We can handle that, Kouki said, eagerly. Let us bite!
"Kouki agrees, so..." Madison stepped away from the remaining group a bit, so they wouldn't hit anyone else. "Whenever you're ready?"

Well, now that that's settled, "Suresies! Let's dance!" Before declared X3 The reference was leaning more towards the old Western films where people shot at each other's feet to make them dance, since, y'know, Bix was gonna fire at them. Granted with arrows and not bullets. The Life Hunter Trainee wasn't really expecting to seriously tousle with Madison. Light spar, yes? @ n@
"U-uh, are we gonna be using our Charged Attacks on each other?" he suddenly thought to ask.

"Um... I'd rather not, it'd be too dangerous, right?" Madison said, hesitantly. "We can always use them on one of the sparring targets, right?" She gestured with one blade at the targets off to one side. "Just, y'know, for practice so we don't actually hurt each other too bad. I nearly killed a zombie with mine on the last mission," she added, with a touch of pride. ((Initiative!))

Before looked thoughtful for a few moments, the cogs turning in his head practically audible. Then, he gave Madison and Bix each a bright grin. "Let's do this!"

Since Bix wasn't going to be 'fighting' persay, he began to try out some of the skills he was working on with his bow. This included firing while running, forwards, backwards and zig zags.
The albino hunter started to jog around Madison and Before in a circle.
"Stay on your toes guys! And lets keep this relaxed." Not that he was worried about it. Neither Maddie nor Before were super intense or competitive.
The he began to fire arrows around their feet, keeping them moving. Luckily the arrows dissipated after a few seconds so there was no danger of them tripping.

Madison jumped as an arrow narrowly missed her leg; Kouki hissed in her mind, pleased. The heat of battle. It issss well. Let usss fight!"Right," Madison said, sliding down into a fighting stance before jumping to the side to avoid another arrow. Then she pivoted and sliced at Before with one blade, keeping the other back to defend. Her movements were a little clumsy; she was clearly not a master, but the weapon's power had integrated into her movements more effectively. The sword cut at Before's right shoulder. His feet lifted off the ground in a series of hops at the arrow Bix shot at them. Thankfully, it missed but it distracted him long enough that he didn't even see the sword headed for him. Before felt the blade dig into him, thankfully it wasn't too deep. "Holding back?" ^_^ he asked. Don't get Before wrong, he appreciated that his fellow Lifer wasn't out to kill him. But it seemed he needed to learn how to control his own attacks as he thrust Vanna at his opponent, the spokes aimed at her stomach.

Bix watched them carefully. He was glad to see that Madison had gained confidence with her swords and he heard she did awesome during the mission. She seemed to be holding back just a bit here, battling another hunter. "C'mon ya bums!" He made his voice all gravelly and he sounded like the old coach from the Rocky movies. He hopped around a bit, looking a bit foolish as no one was going for him, but he was challenging himself at this point. He fired another volley, this time around the pair of them in a circle as he hoped to push them together. His arrows were definitely on target but he may have actually hit them this time. "s**t.. sorry!" [[ -1 HP for you guys! ]]

"Oof!" Madison tried to dodge Before's weapon - what the heck kind of weapon was that thing, anyway?! She wasn't sure who used a wheel as a weapon... but it was clearly effective at what it did. The trainee fell to one knee from the impact. And then, of course, an arrow hit her in the shin. "Bix!" she yelped, pushing herself upright again; she used the momentum from the movement to sweep into another strike, this time using both blades to cut at her opponent. She definitely wasn't holding back now! Damage: 8 Target: Before HP: 25/40 Charged Attack: 3/3 charges (just tracking for RP reference)

Before felt the arrow nick him on the leg. Thankfully it hadn't gone any higher otherwise he was going to have to see a proctologist x.x Still. It had stung and as such he reacted with a yelp and hopped on his uninjured leg. The strike from Madison promptly sending him sprawling flat on his a**. "O-okay, definitely not holding back," he winced. From his position on the floor, he suddenly kicked out in an attempt to sweep Madison off her feet.

"Sorry Sorry!" Bix danced around them, breathing slightly heavy because his endurance was sort of... crap. He watched them both get in solid hits, Before ending up on the ground and sweeping Madison's legs to also bring her down. He didn't want to fire on them while they were on their backs but Mina hissed at him nastily.
They shouldn't stay still. Hit and run. Strike hard and fast. Fire Bix. Fire now. They have to keep on the move.
"Stop laying around you lazy bums!" He said he would heckle them. He fired another few arrows around them, encouraging them to their feet.

Madison bit back another yelp as she was, indeed, knocked off her feet, landing hard on her backside; one of the scabbards also hit the ground squarely and jabbed her in the stomach. "Kouki!" We want to bite, we want to bite, the weapon hissed. He was rapidly approaching a frenzy state now that he'd taken enough FEAR from Before's shield... and, thus, he was entirely unhelpful. "You have to wait!" Madison said, heaving herself to her feet before jabbing at Before with one blade. Damage: 4 Target: Before HP: 18/40 Charged Attack: 3/3 charges (just tracking for RP reference)

Before was unaware of the state of Madison's weapon. Or that the female Lifer was addressing her weapon. So when she struck him and said "must wait", Before did just that.
"Uh... for how long?" he blinked, holding his weapon aloft, as if ready to strike back and just waiting for the okay from his sparring partner. He also looked to Bix, wondering if the pale-haired Hunter was also included in that command.

Bix had already fired another volley around his friend's when Before just stopped mid-step. He'd gotten distracted when Before paused and an arrow a piece had hit the other hunters.
"Dude I think she's doing the weapon talk thing.. s**t SORRY
He stopped himself though, at least stopped moving. What a bunch of dummies..

"Not you, Before - Bix!!" she yelped again as another arrow sliced past her side, leaving a red streak in its wake. Right. No going easy. She lunged at Before, bringing one blade forward to block the wheel while slicing at his own side as hard as she could. Damage: 8 Target: Before HP: 17/40
