Rasha sent out a lick of fire. "" Rasha taunted. If she and Rush tag teamed the big dino, they might have a chance.

Rush stood his ground, digging his hooves into the dirt, but he was struggling to keep the Rampardos at bay and was slowly being pushed back. He saw no way to disengage the Rampardos without being injured and so tried to hold out, hopeing the fire-horse would be able to distract the larger Pokemon enough that he could get out of the headlock

Maya was barely paying attention to the two, instead watching the battle below. She still took in his story about the battle and turned to look at Tenka " that's quite a story, i had a three on one battle myself, but i do believe i did a lot of damage" she said with a slight smile " i even took a direct hit from that Tauros's horns, it also stepped on my tail. Thankfully i had just done a iron tail attack, so my tail wasn't as soft as normal"

"There you are," shouted an exasperated voice from above. Luna had finally found her destructive dino. And as much as Luna would have liked to let Ram take damage from Rasha's attack, she didn't want to take yet another trip to the pokemon center. She threw a pokeball in front of the flames and a black Ninetales popped out in between the Rampardos and the flames. Ninetales easily took on the flames and surrounded herself in it - the pokemon seemed quite comfortable.

Luna jumped down from her Pidgeot and landed right next to her trusted Ninetales. "Okay Ram, that's ENOUGH."

Of course, the Rampardos still wasn't listening. Luna sighed, Ram must have been very angry. Well, this was definitely a discredit to her skills as a gymleader. Maybe they wouldn't recognize her. She took out Ram's pokeball and recalled the large dinosaur.

"Sorry 'bout that guys. I must not have worn him out enough today and he ran off for some reason or another," she chuckled lightly, "He has a bit too much energy and a bit too little patience."

Reis was wandering about rubbing her face after waking up dazed in Katarina City, trailed by a starry-coated pikachu. She couldn't remember why she was on her face, but dammit if it wasn't sore regardless. Upon waking, she had found the pikachu watching her, proceeding to skitter away when she stirred. After a bit of coaxing, and no less than three sticks of pocky, the pikachu seemed to trust her. Reis had only seen drawings of pikachus before, so she might have been mistaken, but she was fairly certain pikachus didn't have stars all about their coat. She'd have to look into that.

Naming the mouse pokemon 'Jeanne', she decided to continue wandering, and now heard the familiar -Familiar? Why was it familiar...?- clash of battle in the distance.

Making their way through the bushes, Reis and Jeanne emerged upon a clearing in which several people and pokemon were gathered. Among them were a pichu and emolga, a ninetales (How strange looking! noted Reis) and Ponyta, a tauros and a pidgeot, and several people about.

Reis put a finger to her lips in a sssshhh...!-type of fashion, and crept closer, keeping her existence secret, Jeanne close at her heels. She did this often, as people aren't truthful around others, using facades to be accepted. Reis wanted to know what they were truly like, and although they were not alone, her presence would change their character even more.

Stopping by a tree, she got a closer look at the assembled group, and listened in. Reis was not ashamed - while others might call it 'eavesdropping', she called it 'gathering information'.

If Reis was as mouse-like as her favored type of pokemon, her ears would have twitched at the sound of that.

"A gym leader? How interesting!" she whispered under her breath.

Jeanne lept up onto Reis's shoulder to get a better view of the incredible trainer. Reis's interest was now particularly piqued. There was another person she had met not too long ago who wanted to become a gym leader, but Reis didn't know what exactly that entailed. It did sound important, though! Of course, a leader generally IS important, duh.
