The youma began to tremble as the attacks struck, and it felt pain fliiling it's senses. On the other end, Pyrite fel very much the same. "Ah- No, this is supposed to work!" The youma was going to make another run for it. Do or die.

((Going on auto pilot-not good.))
It was a final bum rush of an attack. he youma had been aiming to take out as many as possible, but rather, it only managed to get one. Holiday would see the last moments of her life flash before her eyes or something like that.
Point being there was a sickening crack as he spine snapped in half- along with most bones in her torso. There wouldn't be a quick death. Internal bleeding compounded with paralyzation was not the most fun way to die. But, when her final breath would be taken, she'd melt into the rainbowroad just as others had.

It was good thing that Chibi Ixion was a little out of it, because what he had just witnessed was something that in all honesty, any 11 year old probably shouldn’t. The woman who had made all the tasty chocolate was on the ground, bleeding out.
Ixion face contoured in horror. The space fish ATE her basically. But he didn’t look away from it. Instead, without even thinking about, Ixion reacted and used his power. “Ixion Ember Blitz”. Two hot coals went flying straight at the fish-thingy. Afterwards he looked to the other senshi and Camelot, his face questioning if there was something they could do for the miss.

The sound of breaking bones was, surprisingly, not unlike the sound of green wood being bent until it broke. It was a wet, alive sound, only instead of sap and wood, it was bone and flesh. It was some small mercy that most of the bones stayed inside her flesh, at least for the onlookers, but it was no comfort at all for Holi, who was, at last, up against something she could neither defeat nor survive. If she'd had a choice in how she'd died, being crushed to death by a flying coleocanth probably wouldn't have been on her list... or at least... it would have included attemting to defend people with something more impressive than a tray of fudge. As it was, she found very little comfort even in having made people smile, however breifly, with her last round of confections, most of which were now scattered across the floor like funerary flowers... perhaps an appropriate token when her body finally surrendered in it's attempts to force the signal to breathe, to function at all, through crushed nerve endings and shattered framework... and Holi Jones faded into the haze and light of the surrounding.
((Crappy death post is crappy. @_@))

Polaris was hit again, hissing with pain as she was slapped fairly hard by the flailing 'fish', her skin raw and scraped and scratched by those beautiful scales.
She wasn't unused to being hurt, it came with the job, but she was unnaturally happy about it now, because as long as it was attacking her.. it wasn't attacking the others.
Except... it was able to attack others. Her eyes widened in horror, expression and body frozen for seconds after she witnessed the horrendous death of Holiday.
Any death was terrible.. any death was unexceptable. But somehow... somehow this was so much worse. Maybe she'd only know her for moments.. but seeing the mess of a fragile human body below... and realizing all those hopes and dreams they'd been talking about a moment before would never happen... Something in Polaris broke, some nerve snapping that sent her flying at the monster, fists pounding the monster as an unintelligible scream of anger poured from her mouth.
All she wanted was to make beautiful chocolates and candies.. To travel and study abroad and to open a store of her own that would bring so much happiness and sweetness to the world. And all of that.. all of that was completely gone. A beautiful light snuffed out far before it's time.
And she couldn't do anything to stop it or fix it.

The walls were crumbling. This- This thing was destroying the kitchen! Not only were the chocolates in peril, but the kitchen itself! Hard to make more chocolate without a kitchen, though he supposed he might could talk chocolate-girl into making some at Leo.
Well, except she died. The evil beastie thing had charged at the maker of the chocolates and killed her. Darwin's mind wasn't quite sure how to process this. Prior to coming to space the only dead people he'd seen were in video games, and they usually died in some dramatic fashion before miraculously coming back to life.
Wait... maybe the girl would come back to life? Maybe one of the not-aliens could bring her back? That was a thought. After all, the aliens had already done a body-swap, so why couldn't they just give her a new body?
Bolstered by these thoughts, Darwin grabbed a splintered wooden spoon and chucked at at the youma's head. He'd have to try to keep the beastie away from the light, so chocolate-girl could be given a nice, new, not-broken body by the aliens.

For one horrible, apparently never ending moment, all that Naica could do was stare.
The girl... She... She...
It was only when she melted into gold dust that the truth of what was going on seemed to hit him. She... she was gone.
Dead.
They'd failed.
Tears started to veil at his golden eyes, tint distracting pinpricks, but more than that...
Naica was angry. Angry at himself for not being better, for not being brave, for being unable to do anything but stare as Holiday Jones had died. Angry at the monster for existing, angry that there were people stuck in space to begin with.
Hands turned into fists, and then he charged, slaming his crystal at the base of it's neck as hard as he could manage it, his screams now wordless fury.
This was all his fault, he felt.

Camelot watched in horror as the civilian was killed. He felt his chest tighten. Gripping his shield once more, he charged toward the youma, swinging his shield as hard as he could at the the thing. He had let someone die, unable to protect her, and all she had wanted to do was make chocolate for people.
It was not something he could abide any more. He was bruised and weakened, but he still had fight in him. And he would do all he could to defend the rest of them. /size]

Its was the beating it took From polaris that did the Youma in. Leting out a cry of agony, both monster and master collapsed. While the youma turned to dust, Pyrite mearly passed out. They had won the battle, but at what cost?

Everything, everything had narrowed down to the last fierce charge of the beast and sounds that followed it. Wet, solid snapping accompanied by the gurgle of blood seeping into the lungs and the broken percussion of a body hitting the floor. Felicia stared in wide eyed horror as she watched the pretty frame of the other girl crumple and fall, and there was absolutely way one could mistake that lifeless figure as anything but dead.
It wasn't the first death she'd witnessed while they'd been trapped there, but the first she hadn't witnessed, and Grant's reassurances had let him push the thought from her mind. Not really dead, he'd heal, just as they all did. But she never saw that boy again, and there would be magical healing to bring Hali back.
A whimper rose up in Felicia's throat, and she scrambled out from behind the table straight towards where Grant had been knocked away by the beast. All but crawling into his lap as she buried her face against his chest and clung to him. She didn't want to see, she didn't want to be there. She wanted to be home, away from the lovely architecture of the outposts and the monsters that kept hunting them, killing them.
The monster was dead, but so what? The damage was done, and that sort of thing stained the mind.

There was nothing a child could do to help this kind of situation. Very little could prepare him to face a trauma like that. He quietly slipped out of the room, his head hung as he walked. Ixion would go sit by himself for a while, in a happier room, and likely not eat chocolate for a long time.
