"What kind of question is that? If I didn't think it I wouldn't have said it." She digested the descriptions of tickling and poking. "Hm...." So she had been poking. Alright then. How about...Marie put her paws on Pepper and wiggled them. She had been too focused on not laughing to feel what exactly Pepper was doing. Not wonder she had gotten the two confused.

Pepper blushed and murmured "I don't it was just something that popped up in my head..."She was cut off after that as Marie began to tickle her. Her body squirmed this way and that as she giggled trying to hold back a full blown laugh but she failed and began laughing.

Marie frowned. Was that how it was supposed to go? And was that a laugh? It sounded differently than Russ's laugh. Pepper was a female though, so of course it wouldn't sound like that annoying male's. Unconciously, Marie smiled and started off chucking. Soon it turned into laughter as well. Horrified, Marie stopped ticking Pepper and put her paws over her mouth.

Pepper continued to laugh and squirm as Marie tickled her. Her sides were beginning to hurt and her lungs weren't getting enough air. That was when Marie suddenly busted out in laughter and stopped tickling. Pepper sat up quickly and looked over at Marie with a smile.

Marie took her paws away from her face. "W-What are you smiling about?" Why? It was just a laugh. What was it about Marie laughing that was causing Pepper to smile? Or was it just an after effect from Marie tickling her? Marie was so confused....

Pepper continued to smile. "You don't know? Well that's an easy one silly. I am smiling cause your laughing which is showing that your having a good time. Which I am very glad that I could be a part of." she said it in the most sincere way.

Marie having a good time? The vixen was silent for a long while, tring to sort through these new emotions she was feeling. It was...entirely possible yes. Never before had she done any of the things she had done today: playing a game, tickling, laughing....
Never. Not until she met Pepper. There was something about the other fox that allowed Marie to change, to do things she wouldn't dream of doing before. Dieties knew Russ had been trying forever to get her to 'lighten up' as he called it. And all it took was a few moments with Pepper.
Marie looked at Pepper, a small smile on her face. "I was wasn't I? Thank you."

Pepper sat there as Marie thought what she had said over. She didn't know what else she was thinking but she didn't want to interrupt her thought process so she didn't make hardly any sounds. The only sound that she did make that could be heard was her breathing.
"Yes you were and you are most welcome. I am glad I could help make this day a good and fun one, "She said with a big smile on her muzzle. She than lean forward and kissed Marie's cheek.

Marie's face turned red as she opened and closed her mouth several times, but no words or sound coming out. Finally she looked away from Pepper and cleared her throat. "I'm glad you could too." Her tail swished behind her. "What if....What if I asked you to help make everyday good and fun?"

Pepper giggled softly as Marie turned red with a blush. She couldn't help but think it was very cute. "You seemed to have needed it and I'm glad we were able to accomplish it. And If you asked me that I'd tell you I would love to try and help you have a good, fun day everyday."

She would be okay with helping everyday? "Even if it means all day and night?" How far would Pepper be willing to go? Marie wanted to make sure before....before...Marie didn't want to make a fool of herself or lose Pepper if she went and asked before she knew exactly what Pepper thought.

Pepper smiled "Of course though I should warn you I do have some responsibilities in my tribe that I would have to tend to time from time and of course my family but other than those few times during day or not through out say a weeks period of time I can be totally yours." she spoke with such confidence that you'd never know how how worried she was that she would fail Marie.

"Tribe?" Pepper was in one? Well then, that would make it hard. But..."Well at least you said try. From the sound of it it seems like you wouldn't be there 24/7 to help me." Unless Marie had to join the tribe. Marie might not be all too okay with doing so, not liking to be around other foxes that much; but if she could be with Pepper more by doing so, it would be worth it.
Marie looked at Pepper in the eyes. "In that case. Pepper, would you..." Marie blushed and looked away.

"Yeah a tribe. I was born into the Solarie tribe because both of my parents are in that tribe. Though I don't have a job in the tribe and just a member it gives me more free time and I could pretty much be with you 24/7 but again would have to be on/ near tribe lands in case something happened." Pepper told her trying to sooth Marie.
"Would I what?"Pepper asked while tilting her head.

Wait. She wasn't wanting to talk about tribes. She was trying to do something here. Something that if that idiot Russ found out about, he'd go running around singsonging 'I told you so' or some crap like that.
Marie took a deep breath and forced herself to look at Pepper. "Would you be my mate?" There. It was said.
