Aloyisius "The vow was made with the creator. I am nothing more than a protector of the secret of the treasure. My usual task is to trick Pokemon away but this Umbreon is....troubling. My vow is to keep my silence about the location, origins and purpose of the treasure. " Simply put, the only reason he wasn't lying his a** off and tricking them down the wrong path was so they could find a loop hole and deal with Andromeda. He didn't want her in this forest anymore than anyone else did. " 'ey, Hoothoot." Fiorin waved a paw for attention, "Tacking onto to my aquatic friend's question here: By creator, do you mean Arceus?" "No." Was the birds quick reply. Fiorin frowned in thought. Bah, this was annoying. He didn't want to waste a question and ask who the creator was. The damn bird might be a smart a** and say things like it's gender or whatever.

~Finian
Finian blinked in confusion as a sudden spray similar to rainfall came over him. The wetness didn't last long nor was the source pertinent, but it struck an idea deep within the Absol. With a moment of concentration a light drizzle began overhead soon enough breaking out into a full fledged torrential rain that wouldn't necessarily last all that long but had purpose for the time it was there for. "Aloyisius," He attempted to get the attention of the Hoothoot which was now the center of attention and possibly of use to the guild if it weren't for the indirect means questions had to be asked. Hopefully though, with what he had just concocted, his question wouldn't be as straight forward as asking "where is Meda?" "My Rain Dance encompasses roughly a ten mile radius, at the rate which she was moving when you saw her, would you say that the Pokemon we are seeking is being rained on at the moment?" His inquiry would hopefully cover multiple bases such as if the Hoothoot seen their target in question in the first place, how far away she is roughly, or if she is somewhere that could be affected by rain by that matter.

Aloyisius The bird fluffed out, shaking the droplets of water from his feathers with an expression of pure detest towards the Absol who'd gotten him wet. "Possibly." He stated, meaning that yes, if Meda was moving at the same pace she'd been when he saw her pass by then she would be just as angry...and just as soaked, as he was now.

Morana && Zora && VeritasVeritas wasn't exactly impressed with the guild. They were the ones who intruded upon the Volbeat, and then proceeded to attack them as a large group. Great going guys. The Jolteon was more more than just a little upset, having at one point dedicating her life to helping Pokemon in the wild. She moved back to Morana and Zora's side, both of which had done nothing during the battle. Zora disliked eating bugs, and honestly the battle was over before Morana could really do anything. It was the entire Guild versus three volbeats, what did anyone expect? They listened to the conversation as Veritas tried her best not to sulk or start scolding people. Now wasn't the time. "Did she -the Umbreon- um, well, what kinds of Pokemon has she encountered? Did she injured or...um..." Morana piped up, looking down each path nervously. "Kill any?" Zora finished Anna's question quietly. The young girl's voice contrasted starkly against the dangerous aura she gave off. Veritas perked her ears in anticipation of the answer. It would definitely help them to know what kinds of paths to look for. If Meda killed everything in her way, well, they really wouldn't be able to hear much. If she didn't run into any Pokemon, well, they wouldn't hear much either. Elsewise if she just ran through without engaging or simply injuring those in her way, there would be the sounds of Pokemon marking her path. Melissa && KataraMelissa piped in a question right after Morana's, continuing with the same line of questioning. "And if she has, where would we be able to meet these Pokemon?" She might be able to get the direction from this indirect question, but more importantly, they might be able to find a Pokemon more willing to tell them. If someone was attacked by Meda and the Guild comes claiming that they are tracking her down, said Pokemon would probably be happy to point them in the right direction. No stupid vows and this roundabout game of 20-questions.

Reginald & Desdemona & Anastasia Reginald frowned; he wanted to ask specifically about where the Shiny Umbreon went, but apparently they could only hint at it. Now, how to put it simply... "Any ideas?" The canine turned to his co-capt. Desdemona, quite annoyed about the rain, replied irritably. "Pff, no. You're the brains in this team, you should know what to say." She snapped. The lights powering out, earblasting alarm, followed by a trek through the forest and finally getting drenched in the rain was not cool. It had been a bad day for Dessie, indeed. "Which path was most recently used by a solo Pokemon?" Anastasia asked quietly. As long as some other single wild Pokemon hadn't wandered down one of the paths... the Umbreon was alone, right? Hopefully, this question would be allowed.

xx xx xxx xx xx Andrew && Rani && Thomas && ArdenxxxxxRani stayed in the back. Hoothoots' creeped her out. Andrew floated along side her, trying to find any place of dryness, his mind hard at work. The creator that wasn't Arceus.. This place was right by the guild and no one bothered to notice that there was a sacred treasure right at their doorstep? What could be of such importance to draw Meda to it.... when being kept from the world as what seemed to be a prisoner would usually call for revenge. An idea was placed in his head as to what, but he quickly wiped it away. Enough random thinking. "It's the way you least suspect...." Thomas stuck his chin out, trying to be all wise, riding on top of his Tropius friend. "Is there a clear path of darkness that goes throughout most of the forest?" An obvious question, one Arden expected a smart-a** answer too, but this Umbreon would want to avoid detection at all costs, wouldn't she? Chances were though, he knew, the pattern of complete night would be more like patches across the forest... Gah, Mind games.

Aloyisius "She has yet to attack anyone, though not for lack of trying." The owl responded to both Veritas and Zora, his eyes lingered on the Umbreon with the Houndoom-like markings before drifting off towards a Bulbasaur as she too asked a question. "Pokemon gather at the center of the wood." He said simply before eyeing another Pokemon who spoke. The black Meowth was regarded with a tilt of the head as he tried to spot her in the darkness of the wood before replying, "The left path was most recently used by a single Pokemon, the middle by two, the third by more." Solaris looked up at this. Clearly this meant the left path was the choice unless... "...is...Meda the only outsider in the forest aside from us?"Aloyisius stared at the Espeon in silence before giving a slight shake of the head. "There are others." Well, Venus did send some of her guards here. Whether they were on the right trail or not though was an entirely different matter. To the final question there was only a swift shake of the head. No, there was no single path of darkness.

~Blight
Blight was left dumbfounded and oblivious to his surroundings as the enemy before him was finished off, more specifically with the impressive aid from that strange a** looking Pokemon with the eyes from earlier. It was alarming to see such sudden ferocity from the being replaced just as quickly with a blank gaze as if nothing had ever happened. Holy Arceus he was in love! "CAN I KEEP HIM?!" He would have directed his questioning toward his present teammate if it weren't for the fact that he was still getting the silent treatment from the stupid Kirlia as he grabbed up the Scraggy that was practically twice his own size by the waist and lifted him up like a trophy of sorts. Settling for the second best thing he waved his newly found love of his life in the air towards a randomly perched Hoothoot which a bunch of other people seemed to be throwing questions at. He must have had some sort of superiority that being the case and would be able to give answer to his own.

Pixie FrankieOh! She hopes this question leads towards Meda, and that she doesn't get a smart response to it, because it was the first question she thought of that could possibly be of use to the guild. She moves towards the Hoothoot a little so she could see him a little better when he responded, it shouldn't be to hard for her to be seen with her bright fur. " Which of the groups poses the largest threat to the area?" There were other outsiders? And if Frankie was judging the Hoothoot's head shake right, they may not be helpful... would it be helpful to ask? He may as well. It may actually help. " Are any of the other outsiders in the woods connected to Meda?"

Ethfael & Erinn Ethfael watched with a sort of cold satisfaction as the rest of the Guild jumped in after his attack and the Volbeat were soon dealt with briskly and efficiently. They weren't dead, just unconscious, which would do for the moment; whatever would let them pass without further incident. He hated the way that it worked but sometimes it was just the way things were. The Dragonair sighed as Solaris apologized but nodded, having enough graciousness not to overemphasize the fact that he'd been right. Erinn grumbled quietly but said nothing, his rant from before having silenced him. He figured if no one had listened to that even, why wouldn't they listen now? It left the little Paras resentful to say the least.
Ethfael glanced up at the unfamiliar voice, viewing the Hoothoot with a curious gaze. The news after startled him considerably, enough that he didn't bother to either aid or stop the Kirlia who came to the forefront. The Psychic had a point, a very valid point; if they'd known it was an Umbreon then perhaps the others would have listened to his logic instead of ignoring it in favor of following phantom lights. He gave a look of approval to the Kirlia when the Psychic at last backed down, glad that someone had told the decision makers off. That being said and done though, he did feel the slightest bit of sympathy for Solaris; it was hard to be a Leader and be blamed for any and all bad decisions, specifically those that weren't only your own but also others' ideas. The Hoothoot spoke up again and Ethfael nodded in agreement. Yes, they would choose again and they would chose more wisely this time if he had anything to say about it.
After they were all drenched by the rain that that Absol summoned, a round of questions began. The Dragonair listened to the other questions with interest, keeping close mental tabs on what they learned as they learned it. Particularly the question offered by the Meowth gave him pause; the answer they were given was deceptive, they assumed that 'Meda was alone but they didn't know for certain. "Pardon," he said, to politely get the Hoothoot's attention, "The shiny Umbreon, 'Meda, was she traveling alone?"

Tammet
Tammet just kinda went limp as Blight picked him up and started flailing him about like a teddy. It was pretty much a defense mechanism of his. If social activity was becoming to hectic, just pretend nothing exists, including your own self. Works every time!~ He did blink though at the inquiry about keeping him. He tilted his head back so he was looking at the Hoothoot upside-down. "... Can 'e?" Harumi - Victor - Aiden
The three Pokemon of Team Dropkick stayed back, allowing the other Pokemon to ask their questions first. Aiden was panting, he'd barely escaped that icky bug with his life. "Hehe, you sure are a wimp~" Harumi poked at Aiden. The Umbreon glared down at her, snarling a bit. "I am not! I'm not scared of anything!" "What about that Spinarak on your head?" "EEEEEEEEEEEK!!!" As Harumi laughed herself hoarse, Victor sighed and carefully scratched his head. "Please settle down, you two..." The Scyther said. "I'm trying to hear all of the questions and answers." Through the process of elimination, Victor could possibly come up with a specific question to break the riddle of the paths.

 Steven
Location, origins and purpose. That meant he couldn't directly ask what it was or what it did. He also couldn't ask directly where it was, but there were another number of clues. All they had to do was ascertain what path their target went down and then they could follow her. At worst case, they could get it down to a tiny number of selections and just move from there. But before they could get to that there was other, more important information. That path had closed in behind them... that was and would continue to be problematic. If the forest was constantly changing then the range of questions and tactics they could employ would shrink dramatically. So, of course, it was his next question. "When we arrived here, the forest closed in behind us and blocked off the path. What was the reason behind this?"

 Aloyisius
Aloyisius ignored the Buneary and Scraggy to answer the next onslaught of questions. In the end the guild now knows the following information.
Meda hasn't attacked any of the Pokemon in the forest, yet. The three paths before you have all recently been used. The first, by one Pokemon. The second, by two. The third, by many more. Meda is traveling alone. The other Pokemon that passed before us relate to Meda in some way. The group that poses the largest threat is the first path that only one Pokemon has used. We do not know if the multiple groups were all together or passed at different times. There is a treasure in this forest, protected by a secret and something else...the forest itself seems sentient of sorts as it tries to protect the treasure that lies within.

 Steven
That raised as many questions as it answered, unfortunately. There was still much more to know. How "aggressive" the forest was was important as well. Would it always try to block them, no matter what? Would it not? Was that all it could do...? If the forest was sapient then it was possible the trees themselves would try to murder them and that was never good. There was also a lot of other things he would need to know. What was the treasure? Obviously, he couldn't ask that but contextual questions could narrow it down. "Is it valuable?" "Is it dangerous?" "What kind of pokemon would want the treasure?" Questions like that could significantly narrow the list of possibilities and give hints as to what it was. But, more important than what could stop them and what they might achieve was getting there, so that was his next question. His next, very carefully worded question; Aloyisius seemed to hate giving up information. "Aloyisius. Disregarding common elements such as trees, shrubs, twigs..." Steven continued speaking for a good thirty seconds as he listed off just about everything imaginable in a forest baring only a few things. He was careful not to mention EVERYTHING; a few specific things were left unmentioned, or specifically mentioned with "aside from". Large groups of flowers, webs, mushrooms... that kind of thing. Identifying markers. "what has Andromeda passed by during her journey through the forest?" Basically, if she passed by anything that wasn't extremely common in the forest, Aloysius would have to list it. Those "things" would serve as identifying markers. Additionally, unless he intentionally obfuscated the truth, he was likely to list them in order as he would have to consider the path she went down from start to finish. It wasn't fool-proof, but it would allow them to glean information about "markers". Things they could use to navigate.

Ethfael & Erinn Ethfael nodded slightly as his question received an answer from the Hoothoot, pondering what everything else they had learned meant. Meda clearly wasn't the last Pokemon who had passed by, making it impossible for the left path to be the one that they wanted. Aloyisius had said before that the path most recently traveled was the left one, and only one Pokemon had gone that way. It was a curious thing that that path should hold the largest threat as well, but Ethfael wasn't about to question it. Best just to know that they should avoid that path at all costs and that Meda was being followed by at least one Pokemon. "That means that we can eliminate the left path then..." the Dragonair said. "I have another question for you if I may Aloyisius." Ethfael looked up at the owl with a slight smile, realizing he may have found the answer to their little puzzle. "The group of Pokemon who traveled down the right path, were they traveling together or separately?"
Erinn skulked to the side of Ethfael, not saying anything but still stewing resentfully to himself. Puzzle games...He didn't like puzzles for a reason. He didn't like having to think about things over and over again in order to come up with an answer to a question that he didn't want an answer to. The Paras didn't think it was that much to ask; he wanted to go home and hide under the covers and not come out until it was broad daylight. He didn't want to be following a shiny Umbreon through a dark forest in the middle of the night with Pokemon who could easily jump out at him at any minute and attack, especially when the Umbreon in question was dangerous enough for the whole Guild to be out searching for it. Erinn might be a terrified and paranoid Paras but he wasn't stupid; he could put two and two together at least. Although he didn't say any questions, leaving Ethfael to his area of expertise, a certain question was running through his mind although it wasn't directed at anything. Why? Why did this have to happen to me?
