Before she actually fully reached the group she'd been heading for, someone was shouting pleasantly for everyone to head in and take their seats. Pausing in her stride, Purnima glanced around for the speaker, and spotted her. She was gesturing towards the doors of the temple where the Lunarian caught glimpses of areas to sit or kneel. Should she follow in now? Maybe find a seat and sit quietly to watch the wedding?
Looking back over at the group around the bride, she saw whom she assumed was the bride herself wave at her. It made Purnima's cheeks light up a little at having gotten some sort of attention drawn to herself. Especially from the bride. She managed a smile and a returning wave followed by a slight bow she hoped convoyed her congratulations to the bride.
On her shoulder, Naoki had been watching the rafters curiously though he never attempted to leave his comfortable spot of hanging off Purnima's shoulder. He chittered a little towards whatever was up there (was it a creature like him or another like Purnima?)
Feeling slightly better at having figured out who the bride was at least, Purnima changed the direction she had been heading, instead following the trickle of Lunarian's into the temple. A polite smile was given to those just inside the doors welcoming them all as she slipped off her shoes as directed. And now for her next challenge: finding a place to sit among a room full of Lunarian's she didn't know. Quite the challenge.
"Where should we sit?" She directed the quiet question to her lemur, knowing all he'd be able to do was nuzzle against her neck. Which he did. "Right. Another one I have to figure out on my own." Refraining from biting her lip as she looked around, Purnima headed at random towards one of the middle most rows. She really didn't want to sit alone (Naoki excluded of course), so she sat next to another girl (Nivritti) that Purnima that she might have seen around the original group that had surrounded the bride. Once seated carefully, legs tucked under her and pulling Naoki to her lap, Purnima took a small breath and glanced to her side with a smile.
"I hope you don't mind if I sit here." She said in a soft voice. "I don't know anyone here, I'm afraid. I'm Purnima." Purnima gestured to the lemur in her lap, scratching his ears. "And this is Naoki."
"It really is beautiful in here." She added, glancing around the inside of the temple.

Sakn, when the crowd had come in to visit and greet Yue, stepped back and pressed himself to a wall. There were many people eager to see the bride and wish her well, to give her gifts and their blessings. Sakngea could appreciate what they were doing, but he was in no way eager to leap into the maelstrom of activity that circled his half-sister. He could tell from her excited face and wide eyes, her smile and the way she moved that the wave of people had surprised her as well. It was rather funny seeing her all dressed up, womanly and definitely in a far different situation then he normal saw her. It a smile crawl onto his lips.
And when Yue's mothers started to usher their daughter out of the room, the redhead moved to Kiran and clasped the young man on the shoulder and gave him a friendly squeeze, "I'm sorry," he said politely, as both an apology for his disapperance before and because he planned to follow Yue as she left. "Meet me at th'docks, I'll be there this time, promise," he added with a smile, before excusing himself from the crowd with a good bye and a flash of a smile.
Sakngea quickly caught up to Yue and her mothers, like an eager puppy tailing someone with treats. It wasn't because he was lost or nervous, but because Yue had asked him to be with her today, so the redhead would be. As they moved down the hall, he slipped up next two the three women and smiled at Yue, and teasingly asked, "Nervous yet, Yuyu?"
He was, that was for sure. It was strange, like the nervous excited air of the temple was rubbing off on him, or maybe it was because he would see Jianyu again. They had a strange relationship, one he hoped he could somehow fix, and the thought of seeing the Captain again was both nerve-wracking and exciting to Sakn. And as they walked, he wondered where the man was. Would he see him before the ceremony began, or would they have their reunion(is that the right word for what they meeting would be?) after? Either way, Sakn was definitely eager for that encounter as well.

(Forgive the massive wall of text. >.< I just really got into my post since I finally got the time to make it. This is the character I'm questing for, Tu Shi.)Tu Shi tugged at the mandarin collar of her fuchsia cheongsam. It was a bit stifling for her since she was used to the open collars of the vests that she typically wore. Shi adjusted the cheongsam and looked down at the blue and gold lotus pattern that adorned it. Soon after, a frown adorned her face as she did her best to walk in the confining dress. Really, why did women wear these things. She could barely move. Dresses of any kind just wasn't for her. Her ringlets of curls were pulled back and secured with a lotus-shaped clip made of wood. The only other accessory she had on were her silver hoop earrings. Her Auntie Yasu had could not convince her to put on anything more. The dress was uncomfortable enough by itself.
Shi had left her chopsticks at home since this wedding was supposed to be a peaceful event, even if it was one for two of the Legion. The only reason she had even come out was because her grandfather had asked her too. He felt it was good for her to get out and socialize a bit before attending the academy. Her Auntie Yasu and cousin, Xiang, had come along since it was an opportunity for them to get out and socialize. Honestly, they were just a couple of gossips, whispering behind their hands like two little girls. But she was glad to have them along, at least she would know two people at the wedding.
Shi smiled at the woman at the bottom of the temple steps. Respectfully, she inclined her head before carefully continuing up the steps. Shi was prone to tripping on anything and stairs in her cheongsam was a disaster waiting to happen. Sure enough, she nearly fell face first into the top stair but her Auntie and Xiang quickly grabbed her. It seemed they had also been waiting for it to happen.
Upon reaching the Qian family, she smiled and greeted Qian Ehuang. “Wonderful day for a wedding. Congratulations and I wish them prosperity and many years of love to come. My grandfather, Jun Lin, couldn't make it because he is feeling a bit under the weather.” Shi handed the gift to Qian Ehuang. It was a carefully crafted glass vase that one of the servants at the Lin house had made at the request of her grandfather. He had entrusted her cousin with it, Xiang, because Shi would most likely have dropped it shortly before when she almost tripped. Jun knew her well. Shi did not understand why she had to be so nice to the Legion minions but her grandfather would probably beat her if she started a fight so she kept her thoughts to herself.
Shi sat on the cool marble floor alongside her Auntie and Xiang. Her face was filled with wonder at the elaborate decorations. It was just so overwhelming really and her face was one of awe. A thought flitted through her head of what her wedding might be like, if she even lived long enough to fall in love and get married. It would definitely be nice. Shi remained silent and simply listened to the conversations going on around her while Auntie Yasu and Xiang continued to gossip. There was no one else here that she knew and planned to remain silent unless spoken to.

Ehuang, her attention drawn to the dark-haired Lunarian in the brilliantly purple cheongsam, gave the girl a warm smile.
"Thank you for your kind thoughts and your gift," she answered, grasping the girl's hand in hers as she took the vase. "I will have my son and his bride come to greet you after the ceremony; I am certain they will be as grateful to you as I am for your thoughts and your generosity."
She bowed low to the girl, then gestured her forward to join the rest of the throngs of people.
--------------------------------------------------------
"It is all right; I am just pleased to see you," Jianyu said, his expression clearly pleased to see Huang-Fu. His friendship with Huang was more important to him than the other man probably knew; the Legion Fighter was one of his favorite people, and he was happy to share this day, of all days, with him.
Dark eyebrows rose in mild amusement. "Oh, does she?" Jianyu replied demurely, catching Huang's smirk and returning it with one of his own. "I'm quite certain she looks stunning; I would expect nothing less of Yue Lao."
However, Huang's next words made Jianyu's expression soften, and he regarded the man with a gentle look, reaching out to touch his fingers to his friend's face. "It is a strange thought, I agree, but a happy one..."
He trailed off, his hand dropping, eyes widening at the small, golden wolf held in Huang's hands. For a few moments, Jianyu was at a loss for words, taking the object carefully and holding it up to the light so that it caught the beams of sunshine from the window, sparkling and spinning with the spun-gold rays.
"Huang...thank you," he said quietly, running his fingers along the smooth metal. "I...don't know what to say."
His throat constricted a little, and Jianyu was quite grateful for the change in topic. He busied himself getting dressed, turning his back to Huang so that the other man could help him tie the sash around his waist. After he was completely donned in the soft, silken fabric, Ehuang bustled in to fix his hair, tying it back in sleek braids and twisting it up in an elegant knot at the back of his head. A few gold and red beads were strung throughout the dark locks, several strands of which were left hanging, and a pair of red sticks were stuck through to keep the hair pinned in place. Instead of a black cloth to cover his eye, however, there was a red one instead with gold trim.
It was time. As he entered the main room of the temple, Jianyu's four brothers and Huang-Fu preceded him, walking slowly to stand in their places beside the table in the center. Jianyu himself made his way across the white marble floor and stood on the left side, his heartbeat slow and steady.
There were many people - much more than he had expected, and as he walked, Jianyu gave them all a small, warm smile, ducking his head to the room in a gesture of gratitude and respect. He knew he did not know all of them, but the fact that they had all come to celebrate with he and Yue was enough.
The priest - an elderly man with silver hair and dressed in robes of the deepest red, bowed his head, then both turned to wait for the bride to enter and take her place on the right side of the table.

Before he could completely slip out of the room, Kiran found himself engulfed in Yue's tight hug. He smiled as he returned the hug, wrapping her in his arms. "I'm glad we did too. And I'm so happy for you and Jianyu." He nodded with a small laugh. "I'll be out there." He gave her a light squeeze then released her so that she could finish getting ready.
Kiran tried to leave again when a hand suddenly clasped his shoulder. He turned and smiled when he saw Sakn. It had upset him when Sakn hadn't shown up, but he wasn't angry with him. Though he was curious about the reason why Sakn had ditched him before, now wasn't the time to really get in to that. "I'll be waiting," he said with a nod, hoping this wouldn't wind up being a repeat of last time. But he suspected this time the promise would hold.
He made his way into the main room where the wedding ceremony was to be held. He slipped quietly to an open spot to take a seat while they all waited for the bride's entrance.

The second Takeo saw Yue's face light up with recognition, the moment she called his name, made the entire night worth it. That was his prize, and it was followed closely by the incredible, almost profound, satisfaction that Takeo would settle for no less than. It chased away all his apprehension, what little of it had the time to gather, at least, and brought a fierce grin spreading across his face. “Wasn't going to grow any younger!” He laughed, and nodded as Yue was being pulled away, even as they spoke. “Don't worry. I'm not going anywhere. Not after I ran all the way across the city just to get here.” With that, and an impish bow, complete with flourish, he melded into the crowd behind him, walking in the opposite direction as Yue, as they all packed into the main hall.
As he entered the giant chamber, he took a moment to kick off his battered shoes, which at this point were no more than soles practically tied to his feet, and whilst he did this, he inspected the roof, with all the many different lights strung high above across the ceiling. “Beautiful, sure,” he said, to no in particular, “Brighter than the stars in the night sky, they are, but nowhere near as numerous,” he continued, trying to one-up whatever entity he imagined to be inhabiting the place, who in turn probably cared very little for anything Takeo had to say.
Finally freeing he calloused feet from their wrappings, he swept the room, looking for a proper place to sit. He selected a semi-familiar face, Kiran, though at the time all Takeo knew him as was 'that lithe boy' he had seen speaking with and embracing Yue, and moved in behind him. “You don't mind if I sit next to you, do you?” He asked, then immediately plopped down beside the noble before he even had a chance to respond. Looking over the groom and his procession absently, he remarked, “Quite a looker Yue's marrying, though, isn't he?”

[[ Haha Biki confusion e.e;; - I think I got everything right, ROFLE! ]]
Was overwhelmed the word? Sara had always been sheepish, however the fact that so many people were talking at once really did scare her. She did not know where to look, where to reply. So instead she stuck to Yue like she was a lost kitten.
That was until her arm was grabbed; she smiled and looked over at Van. Everything seemed to be starting. She looked at Yue and then bowed her head. ”Good luck, I will talk to you later! You look gorgous.” She stated with a nervous chuckle before latching onto Van. Sara hated crowds; she hated them more than anything else in this world.
”We should really go and sit down with the others.” She smiled, taking one last look back at Yue before she headed to the place where the ceremony seemed ready to start. She took Van with her, holding onto her arm like it was a life support, as if the faces would take her if she let go.
When she saw Jianyu she smiled, lifting her arm and waving to him, then lowering it and wondering if that was at all acceptable, she had never been to a wedding like this. Back home... things were hardly as grand. Though that was a story for another day. She looked at Van and smiled wondering over to sit in a free place on the floor.
”This is all so wonderful, I really like your dress, next time we need to go shopping for them together.” She stated with a small nod, waiting for her to claim the seat next to her.

(( For anyone who is curious, the wedding is a Lunarian-style version of a Buddhist wedding ))
As the Lunarian with the Lemur waved and bowed to excuse herself, Yue Lao grinned and hoped that she would stick around after the wedding, so that she might meet her properly at the celebration. She seemed nice, and she reminded her a little of Sara; she adored Sara, so anyone who triggered that memory could not be a bad person, could they? Besides, Hime-san might get along with the Lemur, and then maybe he wouldn't be so angry all the time.
She had noticed that Sakn retreated as her guests arrived and surrounded her. In truth, although she loved crowds and fed off their energy in a way, she was not used to being the positive center of anything. When she was in the middle of a crowd, she was usually causing trouble, or irritating someone in some way. That was her nature. A little bit chaotic, if not entirely malicious. So although she was excited to see everyone, she was also a little overwhelmed, just like her half-brother. A crowd watching her fight? Awesome. A crowd of people giving her gifts? Confusing and unfamiliar. With a wry smile, she turned to Sakn and replied: "That depends; is breathing usually so difficult? And who took the floor away?" Her head felt light, and she wasn't sure her feet would work. For a moment, she leaned a hand on Sakn's shoulder to steady herself, before Chichi and Yowai took up her dress's train and prepared to help her walk into the ceremony. "But I'm never nervous; I'm the one and only," she told her half-brother, her eyes still glittering in that same way they did when she was about to tease someone mercilessly.
Yue Lao stole one of Sara's hands and squeezed it before she could leave. "Don't be too far away, okay?" she asked her, looking suddenly as nervous as she felt. She took a deep breath, pursed her lips, and petted Hime-san. For a moment, again, it was apparent how much the monkey and Yue cared for each other, as he held onto her hand in his little fingers and rubbed his face against it.
Takeo and Kiran left, as well, and she allowed them to leave only reluctantly. She was nervous, and she wanted her friends nearby to remind her she was strong. She didn't need to be afraid. But ever since Jianyu had proposed, it was as if she was stepping very lightly into a world she had thought previously denied to her, and as such it could be taken from her at any instant.
But not after today. Today, it was real, and official. She took a deep breath. And walked with her mothers. The silver wolf Huang had given her was still hidden in her sash, to the side where her great sleeve fell so that no one would see it. But it comforted her. They were a pair for life, and soon she would be with Jianyu as well. She hadn't been able to thank Huang-Fu enough for such a thoughtful gift. In all, her dear friends had given her more than she thought she deserved, and she was unable to express such a silly sentiment, but their presence was her most treasured gift. Even thinking it made her feel ridiculous. Yue was not one to be so sentimental.
Perhaps a bit of it could be excused on her wedding day. She entered the room, and willed herself first to take in the surroundings: everyone was seated together, except for at the table at the front of the room, where only one man sat. Her fiance. Her Fierce Warrior. Everything that she had loved since meeting him, even if the feelings had been muddled and tangled for a long time when she was younger. And he looked so perfect, because she could see doubly his surface and through into his heart, as it was when you loved someone so much that their being became yours, and vice versa. He was strong, and he was good, and she believed in him. She knew that if they fought side by side, they would be a formidable team. And that was what she wanted: to be part of such a team could conquer any obstacle in life.
The elderly man in red robes stood to the side of the table, and Yue Lao smiled at all the guests, waving a little inelegantly despite her sleeves, before she headed to the table. Although she normally would have swaggered in her Yue-fashion, the dress was so elaborate that it forced her to move with elegance. And that was how she approached, somewhere between a swagger and a ladylike pace, with her mothers and hopefully Sakn nearby. They would take their places next to the table, ideally. Mirroring Jianyu's party. She wondered, idly, why Sara wasn't there as well, but to invite just Sara would have meant splitting her from Van, and that would have been rather unfortunate.
Yue Lao stood to the right of the table, and chewed on her lip. Was she supposed to talk? Could she talk? Why didn't she remember what to do? Catching a meaningful stare from Yowai, she ceased chewing on her lip, furrowing her brows in irritation, before daring to look over at Jianyu. That was about when her heart escaped up into her throat, and she surrendered all her nerves into one ecstatic wave: they were finally at the ceremony. It was real. Her eyes in that moment didn't sparkle with mischief, but seemed to radiate her passion both for life and for Jianyu, her determination set in her jaw.

(( ROFLE, told you all Biki was going to screw up, lets get things right here! ))
Sara told herself that she would not cry, though she could already feel herself welling up, she held her sleeves hard and looked to the side so Van could not see her face. That is when –it- hit her. Her eyes widened as the monkey jumped on her from behind, almost making her fall into the man who was sat in front of her. She made a small ‘meep’ noise, manhandling Mister Princess until he was clung onto her front. He seemed to want to play with her hat but this was not the time, she tried to make him quiet, but he could not help chittering awkwardly.
She tilted her head, did he have something in his mouth. ”Spit it out.” She whispered, patting him on the back. She did not want to interrupt but she could not really help but make a little bit of noise. She felt a blush tainting her cheeks, so many people, why was this happening to her? She shook her head and in that moment the monkey spat two objects out into her hand.
Her eyes looked like they were going to fall out of her head. Where they the...? The wedding rings!
She felt herself go cold; she looked around for someone to help her. What was she meant to do? She could not just run up there could she? She could not just sit here either! Her heart pounded, the monkey, as always, looked rather pleased with himself. In reality Sara wanted to kill him. She blushed and then nervously stood up, giving a small bow to Van before slowly creeping; some people looked, questionably at that. She tried to ignore them, but she could feel the eyes on her.
Maybe she should have kept sat down, her face was red, her heart was racing and she was shaking slightly with nervousness. Hime-San was on her shoulder, playing with the beads on her hat like some kind of child. When she got to the front she showed the rings to Yowai who she had talked to earlier. Part of her wanted to run back to her seat so she could vanish back into the crowd.
Instead she felt a arm around her, Yue’s mother silently telling her to stay put. She looked at Yue and then blushed some more looking to the ground, giving her a nervous thumbs-up with a added chuckle. The monkey stole the rings back off of her, clearly her hat had grown boring, now all he was interested in were his shiny snacks. Sara held her hands in front of her, trying to look as normal and dignified as possible, she felt like a child. Though a small part of her was happy to be here with Yue.

Nivy fiddled her thumbs a little and before she knew it the place was filling up. Kiran, the boy she had seen with the bride sat in the same row as her, and she glanced at him, and then the boy that had followed after him. She wondered if they had known eachother. It was a little hard for her to known who was friendly and who wasn't in the end. As she lookwed forward, she watched the monkey jump onto the Soul Conduit. The one from earlier. Something seemed to have come up? She stood up and approached one of the older woman that Nivritti assumed to be the brides mother.
She shifted in her seat, and looked back over at Kiran and the other boy, as he started taking. She had even seen the groom yet, and there was was. Nivy stared at him for a moment, And then back atthe bride. She seemed to get more attention then him. Though wasn't that like all weddings? "Do you know the groom?" She asked over toward Kiran and the other boy in a quite voiceas to not disturb the others.

Kiran had just settled into his spot when he heard a voice speaking to him. "Oh, no, go right ahead," he said, albeit a bit late as the other Lunarian had already taken a seat next to him before he could even get his words out. He had never met Takeo before but thought he recognized him from the group that came to greet Yue before the wedding began. It was hard to remember all the faces when there were so many, and a number of them being unfamiliar.
Kiran's gaze turned to the front of the room, landing on Jianyu after hearing the comment. "I suppose, if that's the sort you like." He never really paid attention to Jianyu's looks, in terms of attractiveness. But he guessed Jianyu was quite handsome, if he put his mind to work thinking like that. He blinked as he turned back to the man sitting beside him. "I'm Kiran," he said, holding out a hand in greeting to the other.
"They really did a fabulous job decorating this place," Kiran added, taking another quick glance around the room. They must have put a lot of work into setting everything up just right so that it would all be perfect for today. Then his attention strayed when he caught sight of Yue walking forward to meet Jianyu at the table at the front of the room. "Looks like it's starting," he whispered as he watched Yue. She really did look like a regal princess in her wedding dress.
Kiran turned when he heard someone else speaking to him. He offered a friendly smile to Nivritti. "Yeah, I know Jianyu," he answered, though he would hardly use "friends" to describe their relationship. They could certainly be civil to each other when they wanted to. "Have you met him before?" He kept his voice quiet as he spoke now, not wanting to disturb the ceremony.

Seeing as the Lunarian on the roof wasn't answering her, and the monkey had left Lestari decided she ought to hurry back to find herself a seat. People were still spilling in, and the ceremony looked like it was about to begin. Les spotted one of the lunarians with purple hair she'd seen when meeting Yue, there was an empty space beside her so she headed towards there. By the time she'd settled in, everyone had filled up any of the remaining seats, she'd noticed one of the Lunarians that had been with the bride was also seated a little further. Lestari didn't have time to ask her how she knew the bride, the groom Jianyu as Yue had named him, was entering and taking his place at the front.
Soon after Yue was coming in, Lestari smiled as she waved to everyone, that was certainly something she'd never seen happen at a wedding. Silence had filled the room with a few whispers here and there, but it was Yue's moment and she looked amazing. Even beside Jianyu, Lestari thought they looked both equally happy and in love. If only Sinta could see this and allow her to choose her own path... Lestari shook her head, no time for such gloomy thoughts. She did however listen to the whispers beside her, curious as to how they knew the bride and groom.

Van smiled sweetly, waving once more to those crowded around as Sara led the way out of the room for the ceremony. They found seats on the marble floor easily enough, closer to the front of the room where the ceremony was set to take place. Fanning the back of her ao dai behind her so the silk would not wrinkle, the fighter seated herself as comfortably as she possibly could, resting on her knees in as graceful a fashion as she could manage.
All eyes were on the bride as she entered the room—Van was pleasantly surprised to see that Yue was doing her best to play the part of the elegant bride, and even more so when she saw that the fighter was mostly successful in this endeavor. It was all Van could to keep from grinning widely, instead opting for a more subdued smile in her eyes. She noted the compelling beauty of the dress, as well, proud of the choice of fabric the three of them had made those weeks before. The woman nodded almost imperceptibly in approval.
All members of the wedding procession had taken their places—the only thing to do now was wait. It was now that Van noticed the commotion next to her, and she turned her head slightly to find Sara wrestling with Hime-san, Yue’s pet monkey. Van kept a straight face now, but she couldn’t help but be amused; the woman had had more than her fair share of run-ins with monkeys, hailing from the rainforest, but the absurdity of the creature’s antics in the middle of this wedding were almost too much to handle.
“Do you need help?” she whispered as subtly as she could, realizing that they were diverting some of the audience’s attention from the ceremony. Van looked on, wide-eyed as she saw Hime-san spit out the wedding rings, and Sara’s panicked reaction as they both realized what they were.
The wedding had to go on. “Sara! Bring them up there!” she hissed urgently, motioning toward the front. Pleased to see the soul conduit oblige, Van sat back to watch the rest of the ceremony. Hopefully it would be smooth sailing from here. The fighter couldn’t help another smile now—Sara looked as if she really did belong up there with the family.

"I was going to, don't worry, but I'm glad you approve!” said Takeo, with a boyish snicker and a nudge with his elbow into Kiran's ribs. He already liked this boy because he could see that Yue was fond of him, but if Kiran could take a joke? They would get along absolutely swimmingly, because Takeo just couldn't help but poke a little fun at his friends. What few of them he had, at least, with Yue being the exception to the rule, that is.
“Yes, that IS the sort I like, boy-o,” Takeo grunted, biting back the dose of bilious anger that had risen up with it, for he knew Kiran couldn't have possibly meant any harm by it. Not everybody was like Takeo, for he was a bit odd with what he was into. Normally, Takeo would have made a scene of it just on principal, but tonight was a joyous night, and seeing Yue after so many years had put him in far too good a mood to start fights with strangers. He didn't want to ruin it, and the whole damn ceremony, over petty squables that were no more than questions of pride.
They HAD been strangers, at least. “The name's Takeo,” said he, with a wink and a grin. “Well met, then, Kiran.”
Takeo almost giggled at Kiran's comment, remembering that he'd been saying just the opposite when he'd seen the same thing. “Sure, it's nice, a pretty little trick to be sure... Come out to the countryside sometime, I'll show you REAL beauty,” Takeo responded. Never once occurred to him that his statement could be taken in all sorts of incorrect ways.
He swiveled to look the girl who spoke from behind them, a soul conduit who was obviously acquainted with Kiran. “No ma'am, I've never seen the man before in my life!” In fact, Takeo didn't know a single person at the wedding other than Yue, and even that was a long shot after all this time, though that was a situation he intended to rectify.
Shifting in his seat a little when Yue began making her way in. “Oops, so it is! We'll talk after,” Takeo finished, dropping his voice low and directing his full attention to his old friend. He'd never imagined, not in his wildest dreams, that such a moment would come, when he'd see Yue Lao getting married. It even LOOKED slightly strange and stilted, because Yue still strutted as only Yue was capable of strutting, and the whole scene had simply been given a coat of wedding-colored paint. He was proud, though, so proud to be able to see this.
The commotion over the rings had, at this point, gone unnoticed by Takeo, so lost was he in his own thoughts.

When Yue asked him to stay near, Sakn's smile to her was strong and reassuring. He wouldn't be going anywhere. Yue was a good friend, and a sister now. Sakngea would be loyal to her till the day he died, or something horrible happened to cause them to split ways. He followed after the small brigade of women like a proud guard dog, his back straight and shoulder hitched. And when they came to the isle, he slipped up and excused himself to Yue's mothers before leaning in and pressing a chaste, brotherly kiss to Yue's cheeks, and as he pulled back, he gave her a blessing, the only one he remembered from the ceremonies conducted in his own village, "Mun ouy laing leah, mun ouy prort preah," the words were softly spoken, and meant 'do not separate, do not part ways', and wished a strong marriage for the one it was said to.
Then he stepped back and let her go, following until he came to the front of the crowds, where he sat himself crosslegged on the marble floor, mere feet from his sister and the family at the altar, and watched as the vibrant ceremonies began. Though before he focused all attention there, he looked for the groom, and when finding Jianyu he smiled softly and inclined his head; silently congratulating the man on being so lucky. Yue was a prize, a gift(she had grown on him quickly in their times together, a strong and reliable friend and sibling) and he hoped that Jianyu understood that.
