If Aella hadn't had her head laid down on the ground (or rather on Tsuzuki's wing, which was on the ground so close enough) she would have cocked her head to the side in inquiry, but being down on her back gave her a limited range of movements. She actually raised her head a few inches, ignoring the slight strain to her neck as the trade off to get a better view of Tsuzuki's face.
"I don't see why you dad should have had problems finding a mate even while you were a kit," she said. "I mean unless he's planning to lie altogether and say he's never had children before, he'd have to tell his mate. I guess he could pull off a lie if you didn't look anything like him." Aella raised an eyebrow in a silent query, though the thought of any parent denying the existance of their child was....unpalatable.

"Oh Dad would never deny my existence." Tsuzuki shook his head, "He just figured it would be easier to court when he didn't have a little kit around. I dunno." He shrugged nonchalantly, "Maybe I made him feel anxious...or werided out." He laughed softly, "I don't think it was easy for him to flirt with vixens when he was in front of his son." He grinend cheekily down at the vixen on his wing.

Aella's returning grin was just as cheeky. "Oh, I wouldn't have minded at all if you'd had a kit attached to you when I met you. Some vixens love babies that aren't even theirs and are thrilled to play Momma, since we have children so rarely."
Now a touch of mischief was added to the grin. "As for flirting in front of a child... Maybe I'm unique in my views, but I would use that as a lesson in how to properly romance another fox. Babies might be too young to appreciate it then, but it's never too early to start the lessons!"

Tsuzuki looked at her shocked, "You wouldn't have minded if I had a kit?" He gulped, never had he even thought about it. Well that wasn't exactly true. He knew he would have to find a mate one day and have babies, but he hadn't thought about it being any time in the foreseeable future at least. In fact he had always thought the idea as petrifying. But somehow.....When Aella was talking about it, it didn't sound nearly as terrifying as before. But frankly he thought she would have the most adorable babies in the world!
His eyes widened, what the hell was he saying?! Him....her....babies! It was too soon to be thinking about that! He quickly shook his head to get the images out of his brain but it was too late and the idea had already taken root.
"I...I...I...." Tsuzuki gulped, a blush creeping up his neck.
(lol Aella broke my poor Tsuki XD)

Aella giggled madly, wiggling over to bury her face against the fur at Tsuzuki's side in an attempt to quell them. She had to keep her face there though; every time she looked up and saw Tsuzuki's expression, she dissovled into giggles yet again.
"Was it the babies or the flirting that got you," she finally was able to ask, voice breathy from all the giggling she had done.

Still stunned by the revelation he had brought about he didn't realize that the vixen was snorting into her fur with laughter until she looked up at him and asked the question. He stared blankly at her for a few minutes before his brain decided to kick on again. Tsuzuki's eyes widened as he shook his head, making his spiky hair bounce slightly. "I um...." He gulped, then loudly cleared his throat, "Both...." He croaked out, tongue snaking out to lick his lips.
"I um....Mm..." He looked around at loss of what to do. He had never been put in this type of situation before. What did a male do when vixens started talking about babies?!
(lol he shall never be the same)

Aella couldn't help herself. She made sure to get off of Tsuzuki's wing first so she didn't hurt him, then proceeded to roll about on the ground, howlling out her laughter. Finally, with her sides aching and tears still leaking from her eyes, she managed her get herself under control.
"I'm sorry," she said, trotting over to plop down next to the male, "but you should have seen your face! It was the most bewildered expression I'd ever seen!"
She snuggled up next to him, catching her breath and decidedly not looking up at Tsuzuki, for every time she caught sight of his face she was tempted with giggles yet again. Poor boy, she didn't want him to think she was laughing at him! She just couldn't help it, that expression he'd had on was priceless! Was he really so naive when it came to women and babies, or just innocent?

Tsuzuki watched her walk off and laugh her head off, rolling around on the ground. In any other instance he would have laughter at the hilarity of the situation, but he couldn't help feeling that she was laughing at him. And there was nothing funny about that.
"Mm..." He looked down to see that she was still shaking with laughter, though he couldn't see her face so there was no way to be sure. Still. What had been so funny about his face? Sure he has been surprised by her comment, but he hardly thought his face could have been that funny.
"Aella?" He called her name softly, "Are you...laughing at me?"

Tsuzuki's soft tone of voice caught Aella's attention. She stopped to consider the question, since it seemed important to him. "Hhmmm. Partially, because your expression was just so startled it was funny. And partially at the whole situation in general. It kinda came out of nowhere."
She looked up at Tsuzuki and offered him an apologetic smile. "I probably shouldn't have laughed quite so hard. It wasn't so much that it was that funny, I just like laughing. Once I start it's hard to stop."

Tsuzuki smiled, satisfied with her answer. "I suppose I was a bit taken off guard with that so...my face was bound to be hilarious." He blushed as he looked down at her, "I am just glad that you weren't really laughing at me...Cause well...Um..." The phim swallowed hard, "I guess because I kinda.....like you...I mean...I do like you...I like you a lot in fact...And I just don't want you to laugh at me cause then you won't take me seriously. And I would like to be taken seriously at least part of the time..."
He gave her a slightly confused face, "Does that make sense?"

Aella leaned over and nuzzled Tsuzuki. "Makes perfect sense," she assured him, smiling. "No one likes to feel the fool in front of someone important to them or someone they like."
She gave him another reassuring, gentle smile. "Promise it wasn't a joke on you that had me laughing, it was the situation in general that came up and whacked me on the back of the head with the humor of it all."
Then, quietly, almost inaudible, "I'd feel upset if you laughed at me too." It wasn't perhaps the most romantic way to respond to Tsuzuki's confession of liking Aella, but despite her enthusiastic nature she's always had trouble expressing herself.

Tsuzuki smiled at the little vixen as she nuzzled him. It felt good to have someone snuggled up against him, more then he wanted to admit to himself. What if she didn't want to stay and he had to go back to being alone. The thought was enough to make his heart hurt, so he chose not to think about it. Not now at least.
"I would never laugh at you." The goofy phim smiled sweetly at her, "I couldn't." He shook his head, "Because i would never want to make you sad. It would make me sad too." He bit his lip, today just wasn't his day to make sense at all. He shook his hair out, which was cropped short the way he liked it. Though it had the tendency to spike which he wasn't all that fond off but what could he do.

Aella smiled sweetly up at Tsuzuki, though now there was a genuine hint of sleepiness in it. The sky had grown darker and night was swiftly approaching.
"I wouldn't want to make you sad either," she murmured softly, half her mind on her words and the other half just thinking about how very pleasant it was to be snuggled up to the warm and (in her opinion) fluffy Phim. A gentle breeze of warm summer air drifted past, lightly stiring her long hair and blowing it around to brush her face.
((Couldn't remember if it was night already or not >_> We're almost done though, couple more posts each :3 ))

"Good...." He smiled at the vixen, then reached over and gathered her up with his paws as he scooted so he could lean against something hard. Aella was tired, and it wouldn't hurt to have a little nap. "You're sleepy." He chuckled as he poked her with his nose, laying on his side. He set her down along the length of his side, then let his wing drape over her to keep her warm.
"Take a little nap sweet Aella....and then we can head to my den later once you've rested." Tsuzuki smiled down at her softly, thanking the Deities for sending her to him.

"M'kay," Aella mumbled, unable to find it in herself to protest. She really was sleepy, and it was just so warm and comfortable right here...
The thought trailed away as Aella drifted into the dark embrace of sleep. Her sides slowly rose and fell with her deep, even breaths, and she was so closely snuggled up against Tsuzuki that it was hard to tell where her fur began and his ended.
The warm, gentle breeze continued to blow in the background as crickets and other night insects began to seranade those who slept. All was perfectly right in Aella's world.
