The things Junko had been mentioning about the field trips hadn't sounded pleasant at all. Mitsu really worried about what she had to look forward to on any of these trips. Quietly she watched and ended up witnessing something very unexpected. Junko....punted the gnome. And what a punt it was, the gnome was long gone into the distance blinking out of sight.
Mitsu would have been fairly impressed if she didn't feel slightly bad for the small creature. It even seemed to upset the little kappa ghoul.
Looking over it looked like Shun had ventured to take another taiyaki. Curious, Mitsu tilted her head. "W..what did you get this time?"

"Strawberry jelly," he said to Mitsu while showing her the filling. The bad filled taiyaki seemed to be a minority, considering each one he had grabbed thus far has been good. Shun twitched as he heard Junko begin to freak out over seemingly upsetting the Kappa.
Grimacing, he let out a sigh and ran his hand through his hair. A part of him thought of just leaving the girl to her own devices, but he went ahead and decided against it for the hell of it.
"The gnomes had it coming," he said flatly, "Tomo there was on the verge of tears because of her glitter filled taiyaki."

Hasuko was flustered and grew even more flustered when the other girl bowed to her. Just barely she managed to control the urge to bow back. That would have been a disaster if she had. The kappa tended to grow dizzy and even faint if she spilled the water from the dish on her head.
"I'm sorry!" Hasuko said, looking at the tainted fish pastries. "That's terrible that they messed with your taiyaki. They all look so delicious so I'm sure it was troublesome for you."
She fidgeted slightly, looking down at her webbed feet. "But... I think you kicked the wrong gnome. Robert wouldn't do something like that." Hasuko was fairly sure he wouldn't have anyway. She firmly pushed away any uncertainty. The tiny gnome was so ugly and pathetic in a cute and helpless sort of way. Like a baby tadpole or a water beetle.
"I'm sorry." She repeated again. "I didn't mean to upset you though!"
Hasuko took another look in the direction Junko had kicked Robert. Part of her felt responsible, like she should go and search for the gnome, but it seemed rather rude to just run off like that. "Um, I'm Hasuko." she said. "I just transferred to Amityville Academy not too long ago." She nodded her head slightly in lieu of a bow. "Nice to meet you."

After moments of not being able to spot a certain feline anywhere, Riyo was fairly confident that she wouldn't be followed home.
The dragon... Er, Jericho... Had offered her some nice advice on how to get the boil off her back, and she was ready to concoct a plan on her walk back, but something... Or someone... Managed to catch her eye.
Well, if it wasn't Mitsu and her shadow.
Before she approached, her red eyes glanced up to the sign over the booth. It appeared this was another candidate for the school's upcoming elections. It made Riyo wonder if she would indeed be enrolled before this was over. Maybe she should consider actually visiting all these booths just encase..
"Mitsu." The feline called as she approached, avoiding eye contact with the people she didn't know. "I didn't know if I'd see you before I left." Not that she was happy to see her. Strictly business. Just like everything else...
Right?
Hearing his owner call out someone's name, Felix the hazcat, who was now following Riyo, peered out from behind the bigger feline, his nose twitching behind the gas mask. That was a canine, wasn't it? Though... Riyo didn't appear tense. Should he be?

"..." W..was she supposed to say something about the taiyaki she had gotten? Mitsu must have missed that in the glance. Shun had spoken up about it. "Y...yes...I had a dirt filled one." Though she wasn't completely upset, Mitsu had just been confused. Very very confused.
Continuing to watch the kappa with interest Mitsu didn't turn away until she heard her name being called out. Looking over she saw a familiar face from open house. Mitsu was about to raise her hand in greeting but the hazcat peeking around Riyo's feet made the canine tense. It was....a cat. Oh jack.
"H..hi, Riyo." Just act normal, just act normal. Remember what Malcolm said. If you have fear they will attack. "H...how have you been since open house?" The lupine stuttered. Looking toward the table of taiyaki Mitsu gestured toward them. "Y..you should try Junko's taiyaki. They are really good." Though being nervous she forgot to mention that some of them could have...surprises inside.

See? See? Even Shun was agreeing with her! Junko sighed with relief as the kappa ghoul apologized. She hadn't meant to make her do that but she was grateful for it, she supposed. Though she wished this ghoul could know the true nature of those wretched gnomes; it was clear she didn't actually know anything about what they were really like. She'd have to be taught. Sigh. "I just didn't want to take a risk. All of the gnomes have been grating on my nerves for quite some time now, ever since one of them kept saying he wanted to look up my skirt and would follow me around until I let him." Stupid trolling gnome on groanspring. She hoped he had dissipated into FEAR particles by now. Ugh. She gave the kappa an apologetic smile as she apologized again, shaking her head. "No, no. It's alright. I just panicked because I didn't want to offend someone I've barely met. It's very nice to meet you, Hasuko! I'm Junko!"
Oooh! A new student? This was fantastic! Junko could try working some charismatic charm on the new ghoul in hopes of the kappa liking her! "You're a kappa, right? I've never met one in person before!" She was actually pretty excited for that! "I'm terribly sorry for upsetting you, I really didn't mean to. I..didn't think he'd fly so far, to be quite honest. I liked that shoe." Junko pouted a little and slipped the other sandal off her foot so she wouldn't be walking completely off balance.
She heard an unfamiliar voice greet Mitsu and turned on her now bare heel to see a...feline! Eeeeeeeee! Junko's eyes widened briefly before she forced herself to relax again, not wanting to chase anyone off. "Hello there~! It's nice to meet you!" She chirped, her eyes focusing on her face. Ears. She had. Cute. Fuzzy. Ears. Must. Not. Stare. Must. Not. Stare.

Seeing how things had seemingly calmed down, Shun finished up his taiyaki before looking to the side as he heard a familiar voice. Oh. It was Riyo, the feline girl from the open house. While she greeted Mitsu, he just sort of gave her a nod of acknowledgement to her. He wasn't all that familiar with her, but she seemed to get along with the masked wolf girl pretty well.
"Just be careful with the taiyaki," he repeated while looking over Hasuko. As with the futakuchi onna, he hadn't really met with a kappa in person before, but he had some knowledge of the monsters.

"Lets just say I've been better." The feline replied with a snippy tone, pointing down to her torn and dirty trench coat. "I'll need to make a trip by my tailor tomorrow." What a hassle...
Raising an eyebrow at Mitsu's nervous gaze, Riyo followed the lupine's gaze to Felix. "Um. This is Felix."
Hearing his name, the masked cat stepped out from behind his master to cautiously approach Mitsu. She seemed... Tense. But not unfriendly outright. In an effort to hopefully relax the ghoul, Felix rubbed up against her leg with a soft purring sound rising from his throat.
"Tai... Yaki?" Riyo repeated with a raised brow, looking back up towards Junko's booth. "Oh... Hi." She acknowledged Junko's greeting as best as she could with a sort of awkward wave. It was hard to be rude to somebody who seemed so... Happy to see her.
Which was when she noticed the fish-shaped treats on the table. Immediately, her ears perked. She wondered... If they actually tasted like fish. That would make her day a little better. The feline had been craving fish since she'd gotten to the festival.
Nodding back to Shun as she noticed his silent greeting out of the corner of her eye, Riyo cautiously picked up one of the taiyakis and sniffed it before taking a bite. Couldn't hurt if Mitsu said it was alright... Right?

The smell of fresh baked gthat tstr but oods... Ahhhh, smells soooooooo gooooooood~ It was enticing, the smell of it made Bea feel like she was in LOVE! "Oh my~ what is that? Smells delightful!" She couldn't help but found herself standing in front of another campaign booth. This time however, she went right for the goodies instead of noticing who was even running! The fish shaped pancake looked delicious and so cute! Bea reached out to grab one...
Bea took a bite, only to find some sort of greenish paste filling inside? The taiyaki was soft, and fluffy, but that strange bitter and somehow slightly sweet taste mushing around in her mouth as she chewed just completely ruined it. "...." Bea chewed to a stop, and looked at her taiyaki, unsure if it was SUPPOSED to taste like this, "ughhhh... this is not anything I've ever baked before..." She slowly put the taiyaki down to her side, looking for a garbage to toss it into.

Mitsu somewhat stiffened when the hazcat approached and began to rub against her leg. I..it was just trying to be friendly. It....it was like Ziggy. Ziggy was a good kitty, not all cats were bad. At least that's what Mitsu was trying to desperately tell herself as chills continued to run up and down her spine. Even with Ziggy she was still nervous, she half expected to wake in the middle of the night with the cat trying to suffocate her.
Not sure if she should touch the feline or not Mitsu turned her attention back to Riyo as she took up a taiyaki. "O-oh yeah I forgot to mention some of them are-" Too late. Riyo had already taken a bite. Well, hopefully it was something good and nothing like dirt...or glitter.
Turning when another student entered the area Mitsu began to shift in her chair wondering if she should get up. Junko was busy now after all so she really had no time to mess with hair. She had to booth to run.

She'd been locked in a class for a few hours and had missed out on a lot of the festivals fun. It was okay now though. Tahki wandered about the booths until some fresh scented treats caught wind of her nose. Like a hypnotized snake she followed obediently and even floated a little until she found her self at Junko's booth.
Junkos booth? Junko was running for student council? Tahki shyly approached the booth and eyed the treats out on display. Usually treats and sweets didn't catch her eye so easily, like a certain pink haired demon, but she'd been locked in a class for a couple of hours. Tahki was starving.
Her stomach betrayed her a little and gave out a bit of a roar.

Oh, wasn't that Robert the gnome again? Mot lifted a hand to say Hi, only to see Junko punt the poor sucker to the moon.
.....huh.
He listened to the banter back and forth between students, then started to lose interest and just looked over the booth. Oh hey. Junk plushies. Did all the booths have plushies?
Mot left the booth to investigate.

At first, Riyo seemed displeased when the flavor hit her. This was most definitely NOT fish, but it was reminiscent of a specific thing used with sushi.
And that's when it hit her. Oh Jack, she'd just taken a big bite of...
In a matter of seconds, her face turned red. One could almost see steam coming out of her nose and ears. "W-water..." She hissed, dropping the taiyaki on the ground in favor of searching for a water source to dunk her head in. "For the love of Jack, I need water!" So much for Mitsu's belated warning.
Felix, who seemed to be failing at comforting Mitsu, slowly backed off with his ears folded against his head. Well, you couldn't befriend 'em all... But it appeared his master was in some sort of pain... The hazcat let out a muffled mrow and went to investigate.

Lizzy had been meaning to drop by for a while now, but for various reasons, she didn't. Now that she was free though? Dropping by Junko's booth, she randomly took a taiyaki from the booth, never having one before. Before she could eat it, however, something pink and small tackled the piece of food from her hand, causing it to fall to the ground.
"... ROSENTHAL."
While Lizzy's current tone would usually earn a sad look from the minipet, Rosenthal did not do it this time. Instead, it pawed at the fallen taiyaki, and ripped it apart, causing... Something to fall out; the filling smelt odd to Lizzy, but fairly awesome to minipets... Rosnethal included. He had smelt the taiyaki and had saved his master from having to eat minipet food! Sitting down on his haunches, he then looked up at Lizzy with a rather proud expression on his face.
Lizzy paused, staring at the taiyaki's filling before feeling rather glad at the Pata-Pata's intervention. She reached down to pat her minipet on his head before realizing that there was a (rather familiar looking) ghoul screaming for water nearby.
"Um... Y-you can have mine...?" She smiled, holding out a bottle of water she had fished out from her bag, "I've not drank it yet so you can have it if you like...?"

Glancing to the side, it seemed that both the ghost girl and Riyo did not like their taiyaki all that much. Shun then looked to see a gryphon girl come by, though he didn't really recognize who she was.
Then, all of the sudden, he heard Riyo crying out for water.
What in the name of Jack did she get inside of her thing? Apparently there was more than just dirt and glitter for the bomb taiyaki. Looking around, he tried to see if there was any water nearby just so he could get her to quiet down... ironically he couldn't.
A festival for fish and there was no water within the immediate area. Go figure.
