Reaper watched on, and smirked a bit as the girl slammed into Kai, knocking her down. Well...at least he wasn't the only one. He was planning on an attempt to read Cardinal's mind, with the hopes that she couldn't realize that he was doing so. But...the younger girls apparently knew her, and she knew them. So part of the reason he'd need to use telepathy was gone, and if they could get her talking, then he shouldn't need to at all. ...given that she'd actually give any information around him.
Then a piece of what Kai said nearly made him wince. She'd brought Alfred back? That was the butler, right? The guy who, from what he'd seen of the security feed, had been here the entire time up until that woman came and took Batman. He also seemed to be someone that was here for a long, long time. ...So his whole story about knowing Bruce and being charged to watch the house was utterly out the window. Maybe. He was unconscious when Bruce returned and rushed him to the hospital. Maybe he wouldn't know....unless the man talked to him at the hospital.
As Kai moved enough for her bloody clothes to be seen, Reaper frowned and stared at them. Not with an expression of concern as "normal" people might. But one more of...almost temptation. He could sense her blood when she'd gotten closer to the room. He could smell it when she came in here. But seeing it as well now....? After he'd been stuck in this house with nothing but stray bats to drain out as he needed?
Quite purposefully, he turned his head away and moved to look back out the window at the smoke.

Kai kept close observation of everything around her, especially the man who was standing in the room. Of course her trust was almost instantly granted to Jackie and Vickie Allen. They were, for the most part the same as she remembered. She looked up at the man who claimed to be human, watching his expressions, and feeling them through his aura. "Something is bothering him? I have a suspicion that it might be me, that he might know what I am, my past? His aura is very similar, if he is anything like I was... I would be incapable of trusting him." She thought. Kai observed how he drew his attention to the window which reminded her of the smoke. "Crap! Vickie, Jackie... And I need to go to the cave." Not even giving it another thought she stood up from under Jackie pulling her up to her feet. She glared at the man before looking Flash girl in the eye.
"You and Vickie need to follow me to the cave. There really isn't any time for reminiscing. After we figure out what's going on here, I can take you and Vickie somewhere safer, where I met many other new heroes that can use our help."

Reaper blinked and glanced back at the girl. Other new heroes? Were they all just hiding somewhere? He hadn't seen anyone for...quite some time. Aside from that other Doctor Strange and Batman. He wasn't sure he'd have any need to see these other heroes. But... if they had any powerful magic users...that he could use. Sooner Strange and the other missing heroes were back, sooner he could get back to...to...hrm. Crashing on Strange's couch probably.
"Heroes? I haven't seen any for weeks." he said. (None other than Strange that might be useful anyway.) "Started getting the impression that the majority of them were missing as well."

Once FG was on her feet, she only kept getting more excited from Kai's words. Robin? Superboy? Beastboy? And what did RC mean by 'new heroes'? Another thing Kai said really interested her.
"More-safe-than-the-cave? ...wow....that-means-Batman-really-isn't-home..."
Jaquelyn was slowly coming to the realization that she was speaking quicker than a 'normal' person could understand... a curious expression quickly crossed her face.
"You-haven't-told-me-to-slow-down-yet....you-can-understand-me? And-what-do-you-mean-'younger'?"
The room was pretty dark, and Kai was around the same height as FG knew her.... but something was definitely different, now that the girl looked harder.

"Um... Slowing down would be nice but since I visit your family a lot... like family reunions and stuff, I had to get used to it. Secondly I'm 19 years old, nearly 20..."
Kai stopped in her explanation. She didn't want to say how many new heroes she had met or who they were, at least not in front of this man. She almost scoffed at him and she turned her back to the man while guiding Flash Girl to the cave putting her hand on FG's shoulder. She stopped as her and FG reached the door way. Kai looked back at Impulse for a moment then at the man.
"Mr. Blake... I really don't want you to follow us. If you want someone who would better suit your company I would suggest staying by yourself. Your aura is not coming anywhere near mine and I don't want you being around my friends."
Kai stopped and stared at him coldly. She had to face it, she didn't trust the guy, and she felt that she should let him know so that maybe he would get the message to not follow in any form. She raised her injured hand out of her pocket that had been bandaged up but still showed that the wound bled after the treatment. She started flexing her fingers which caused the wounds to open up enough again to start bleeding. She did this in hope that it would temp him to do something that she assumed he would do considering what she could read from his aura. Maybe if she could prove her theory about how she feels he uses his dark magic then that would only give her a solid reason to dislike him.

Reaper's mood fell when the young girl basically gave him the cold shoulder. It worsened when she spoke again, and he frowned. "I am threatening you somehow, aren't I? Why?" He hadn't even DONE anything.
His eyes fell on the girl's hand as she drew it out, and his eyes stayed there as the blood began to flow freely from her hand. There was no reason for her to do such a thing, opening up a wound like that in front of him and not show off some kind of power.
Unless she knew that the blood bothered him. So she was purposefully doing it for some stupid reason.
That irritated him, and it showed on his face. But...he chose not to act on her stupid little show. Not right now anyway. If she did anything else to piss him off, then he had plenty of ways to draw blood from her. And since she wasn't one of Strange's friends...
"Well...no can do with that. I'm already in the basement talking to other people who are down there. So you'll be seeing me again anyway." he said, trying to change the subject and ignore the blood as best he could. He focused his stare back on the girl's face, and tried to give her a telepathic read. She'd basically let him know that she didn't want anything to do with him, so this would be the only way he'd get any info from her. He wasn't entirely worried about getting information on her as much as he was these heroes she claimed that she'd found.

((Sigh. I guess I've tortured you enough. XD XD))
Impulse waited quietly on the side as her sister spoke with the creepy man. Those shadows moving gave Impulse violent shivers. Suddenly, an echo of a voice rang throughout the air. Impulse jumped a bit with a smile. "I'll-check-it," she chirped, taking this advantage to slip away; she always did like the thrill of being alone. Scanning the area on foot, she appeared in the back of the mansion in just a few moments. Wandering in the dark for a few moments, she decided that she had enough excitement and darted back to where her sister was. Stopping with a skid, Impulse saw a new person and her sister tackling her. Naturally, Impulse assumed the worst and jumped back, ready to attack. But not until she saw that familiar hair… and wings…and heard happy screaming from her sister. The girl’s name rang in Impulse’s ears and she was immediately happy and at Kai’s side. "KaiKaiKaiKaiKai~i!" And she joined her sister in the glomping. Finally, finally a familiar face! At her sister's speaking, Impulse nodded vigorously, agreeing with everything and not noticing the incredible speed. At the mention of "Robin", her cheeks went pink. A shy grin crept onto her face, and she held her hand to her cheek, feeling it's heat. Just who I wanted to see. Standing up, Impulse suddenly felt the air shift to tense as the creepy man approached them once again. Impulse took a step towards her friends, watching the confrontation between Kai and the man with defensive eyes; stone cold, yet filled with fire. Silently, Impulse fell in her place and trailed her sister and Kai, trotting and starting up at them with a face of wonder. Feeling the chill of the man's presence behind her, she shivered and drew closer to them, giving an uncomfortable look when Kai stopped to glance at her. When Kai told the man to back off, Impulse almost smiled, glad her message got through. She didn't want the guy around either. He retaliated sharply, and Impulse backed up, breaking eye contact with him. Let's go, let's go, let's go, she grumbled in her head. Impulse walked past Kai and her sister, keeping behind--or rather, in front--of them. Her steps were impatient, and she wished they'd hurry. She wanted to see Robin. The thought of him made her smile again, her hands coming together in glee. Her whole tone changed. Let's go, let's go, let's go~

((Yes, I am very pleased 3nodding ))
Kai was happy to see the two flashes, but she was very interested about the man. What or who he was, and what his goal was. She shook her hand off pulling out another bandage wrapping her hand. Out of the corner of her eye she glared at the man for a moment, as she thought of what to say.
"Mr. Blake... I'm pretty sure that isn't your true form or your chosen name. Your aura... Well, I sense blood on it. Magic has fingerprint like truths about a person, and like a fingerprint it doesn't lie about who it's owner is. For now just keep the gloves on... and stay away from us."

Jaquelyn followed close behind. Wherever Kai walked, she was a step behind her. She noticed her little sister decided she would be a step ahead of Kai instead. FG didn't blame her; this conversation between the man and RC was getting creepy... but FG couldn't help but get distracted by Kai's other words. Almost 20?! Kai was only supposed to be a year older than herself! What was going on?
FG looked back at the man. Kai was certainly suspicious of 'Blake', and when RC was suspicious, there's usually a clear reason as to why. Impulse had been suspicious from the get go, but that was because this man was a stranger to them... and personally FG was rather cautious of him too. But Kai could see aura... she could sense stuff that clearly very few could. That had to be credited. Jaquelyn looked back at her sister, seeing that a new expression took over her face. It was happier, more upbeat... was it the excitement that meant they would soon be meeting with people they either hadn't seen for months, or people they hadn't met at all that Kai trusted? The feeling took over FG, and she was getting even more jittery. She started to notice this a bit and commented to her self, staring at the floor.
"Slowdown, slow-down, slow down....."

The girl hadn't done or said anything about him entering her mind...so he assumed that she couldn't tell he was in there. Good. Then he didn't have to try and talk or interact with her any more. He'd just gather what information he needed now...and possibly when they went downstairs. As for staying away from them....fine. He creep ed out most people and was avoided like he had the plague. He was used to it.
Still...he hated this. He hated feeling like he was a complete outsider when he'd done nothing to deserve it.
"Very well..." Reaper replied with a sigh. "I'll see you all downstairs then." He then let the three do whatever they wanted, and turned his focus on walking down the hall.
The butler was still in here somewhere, right?

"Psh... Alright Blake..."
She said almost sarcastically as she headed out the door towards the Grandfather clock entrance of the cave. One entrance she knew very well. She pulled her communicator out of her pocket and rubbed the screen of it in contemplation of her next action. "Should I call Tim? Have Nightshade send a portal here for FG, Impulse and I? Or should I stay here and wait for the New batman and help Alfred... Batman could show up right? Or maybe a JLA member." She contemplated but since she was in a totally new place the decisions of what was best became difficult it seemed. Kai took a her injured hand and she tucked her bangs behind her ear looking away from the flashes nervously. Despite having left the man's presence she still felt as though he was there. Maybe because he was in several places but she just couldn't pin the feeling. "At least, at least he doesn't know the true extent of my abilities... or anyone for that matter. What I don't want is anyone finding out about my immortality or my immortal life before this. Or about my parents, who now work for IO. Dammit! I sure hope it's just a name coincidence."
Kai looked back over to the girls as she pulled a lever on the side of the clock causing it to slide open.
"You two... don't happen by chance, know about my family life? With anybody do you. Or about my powers?"

FG followed Kai to the clock and paused at the questions. Now that she thought of it, she didn't know much about RC's family... it was a subject that was usually avoided, and Kai must have had her reasons. With this in mind, Jaquelyn shook her head and spoke, her words a little slower than they had been before.
"I just know you can... see aura. And fly.... and go through walls. We don't know anything about your family...."
FG looked cautiously at her sister, then back at Kai.

"Oh, Okay... Well, it's probably better that you didn't know but. I just recently heard my parents names mentioned at the Institute. Where Robin is now... and I wanted to tell you if it is my parents and we have to confront them at any time, you will need to be on your highest guard."
Kai drew her attention back to the passage and began walking without looking back at them another time. Her voice had an ounce of worry, and stress, but it was something she probably should have said. Something she should have said to Tim or the others even when she heard about the news.

Reaper had been walking slowly away from the small group, not wanting to completely loose sight of them until they went through the secret entrance. His pace slowed even more and he turned to glance back at the small group. He hadn't completely quit his telepathy, and he'd caught some of what the girl had been thinking about.
True extent of abilities? Immortality? And something troubling about her parents? Hrmh. Well...something he could look into later he supposed. When he wasn't in the middle of...well...trying to find some way to get the others back and watch over things. He had said that he'd keep away from them. Way he was feeling right now, he'd count that for everything. Someone comes and attacks them, then they can deal with it themselves.
