Gale held up his hands in a gesture of innocence. "Bix, it is," he said, trying desperately to hide the smile that was tugging at the corners of his lips. "Don't worry, I'll just call you Bix. Promise."
Ferdinand. Gale shook his head.
The shout from Robert made him turn his attention towards the loud, older guy, slightly confused at what he was yelling about.
His...sister..?
Something twisted in Gale's stomach, and the amused expression dropped instantly from his face. If Robert's sister was here, then maybe...maybe..?
He wasn't going to hope for something that might not be plausible, but it didn't mean that Gale didn't cast a surreptitious glance around the room, biting his lower lip.

When it seemed that there weren't going to be any fancy posing of any sort from the Caelius' Angels Mist Hunters, more names were called. Before blinked in surprise at Bix's reaction. With a tilt of his head and a pout, "What's wrong with Ferdinand? There's an awesome band called Franz Ferdinand." 8CCCCC Yes, Before rather liked the band and didn't see anything wrong with the name. But Bix wanted to be called Bix rather than that, and well, it made Before fell all warm and fuzzy inside. *w*
And then there was yet another commotion. As unhappy as Before was that he was being separated from his fellow Betas, he forced himself to look at the teeny tiny silver lining in all this: "Dysfunctional siblings? Kinda glad I'm not gonna be involved with either of them," he whispered over to Gale. Frankly, with the way some of the other hunters were talking and behaving, Before felt like he was back in High School.
He thought he'd escaped that hell already. But it was shaping up like he hasn't. @A@

Mist Hunters? That wasn't so bad. It sounded...probationary? Candace looked up from the paper she was reading over. You could almost hear her heart shatter. Inadequate? Inadequate?! H..how dare he! Candace's frown returned and she looked damn near ready to slap Cael across the face like an insulted and heartbroken lover during a quarrel, instead holding tightly to her schedule so she wouldn't do this. That would be bad. Very, very bad. But a busy schedule that had her learning the duties of all roles? She was okay with this. She was used to busy schedules. He couldn't break her spirit. No way.
...Inadequate? Her? No way.
Candace was thoughtfully quiet as she walked back to her seat, not paying the others any mind as she just read over her schedule. She was memorizing it, studying it, trying to figure out how to go about accomplishing it. Not like she had any outside obligations anymore though. She didn't even care about the trainees being called up until Robert started flipping the ******** out. That was when Candace looked up, raising a brow and looking between Robert and the girl he was pointing at. Ohhhh, boy. She could see the resemblance before he even said she was his sister.
"...She doesn't look very upset about being here, Robert." Candace pointed out with a shrug, looking up as she continued to hold her hands out for high fives. "Someone give her a high five before her arm falls off."

"Theven? That's kind of a st---" Jeremy paused, turning towards the front of the room where he heard his name. Leaving the conversation as is, he got to his feet and made his way to the front of the room, looking at the rest of the ones that were called up; including Bix who...had kind of an unusual name. He became somewhat distracted with the little episode between the pair - obviously siblings - and had been about to give the girl a highfive when Cass did it for him.
Well, that ended that! Instead he just laughed, shaking his head. It made him wonder what Dean would say if he were to wake from his pod...he doubted that the reactions would be remotely the same. Still at least grinning, he slid his hands into his pockets, chewed on the inside of his lip, and waited for his schedule. Or not.
"Someone already did, just sayin." Jeremy pointed out to Candace. "But if she wants two I'd be more than happy to." One hand slid out of his pocket, fingers waggling at Poe.

Jerry stood, slightly dumbstruck beside Jordan, blinking in confusion behind his glasses as his fellow phoenix made quite the scene. As always, Jordan was there to bark him into submission, but all the same, he glanced from Robert to Poe and back again, as though trying to find any semblance of family resemblance.
Mostly, his brain was screaming 'Oh God, there are Two of them.'
Well.. well, maybe this Miss Poe would be a lot friendlier than her brother? Hopefully? She was certainly prettier. His face lit up, hand reaching out to return the high-five (It was instinct!) but his hand hesitated as his still-swollen lip ached. Would a high-five to his sister result in the same sort of reaction as er... a hug to his girlfriend? It had been a purely platonic hug and kiss, he insisted to himself even if no one believed him. Even so, high fives must be returned, that was the natural order of hand etiquette.
Robert could suck it.

Anyone... ANYONE who turned to look at Bix about his name got the same deadly serious stare. In fact at some point he dragged a finger across his throat as if he'd murder anyone that mentioned it.
"B.I.X." He mouthed it to the few faces who glanced in his direction.

Caelius looked at Robert, all the way across from their expression to the tip of their dramatic point, and then to the person in question, one Poe Morris. Siblings, not unheard of, having a similar upbringing and all, or if it was Dr.H he would talk about the genetic make-up of such. Nature versus nurture, semantics.
"May I remind some of you that you already died back in that room." He was absent-mindedly handing out the selected group's schedules as he talked. "You are already dead. Your name is a souvenir from your time before you were chosen. There is no going back, unless you consider it kind to kill your former siblings in pure ignorance, letting their worst fears consume them."
Thankfully said other sibling seemed to have taken a better understanding of their situation, though Caelius was beginning to wonder about her brain capacity. "As Sun Hunters, you will take on the most high-risk tasks." It seemed like he said that part for a certain someone's benefit, digging a very sharp nail into an already sore spot. "You will learn to use your weapons, to fight, and protect. Your offensive skills will be put to the test, any slip ups will only result in your ... replacement."
"Now if the last of you could come up, the ones who were not called." Caelius smiled just slightly as if to some personal joke, waiting.

Bix took his schedule and looked down on it as he made his way back to his seat. Sun? He hated the sun! HIGH RISK? He gulped and then sneezed AND THEN stubbed his toe on his chair again.
s**t s**t s**t. He should have been happy to have his offensive skills even considered, but he honestly wasn't sure how he felt about all of this. He maybe was cannon fodder, MAYBE second string.
He thunked down in his seat, face screwed up in concentration. This was the perfect opportunity for him to make a new name for himself but at the same time he was slightly intimidated.

"Yeah, me too," Gale muttered under his breath to Before, shaking his head. Robert was pretty cool, but even Gale could see that he had a habit of being...
...well. Loud. And kind of brash. His eyes flickered from one sibling to another, feeling his stomach twist. Leslie's gotta be around her somewhere, doesn't she?
"Now if the last of you could come up, the ones who were not called."
The moment of truth at last. Gale pressed his lips together in a thin line, hesitating only a fraction of a second before he pushed his chair back from the table and stood up. Making his way around the rest of the people in the room, he walked slowly and carefully over to his instructor, then stood in front of him, fingers linked together behind his back. This was mostly to keep from fidgeting from anticipation as he looked up at Caelius, his expression shifting into a determined one.
Well, he thought, dropping his hands to his side. Here goes nothing.

Robert swiveled one quick, ferocious gaze at the man he'd given his allegiance to, and in his eyes held the wordless answer he'd never want to give. Jordan's command would be ignored, without a second thought. This situation was too critical for Robert to bend his will to reason.
He took a step towards the girls, and gently brushed Cass out of the way, before grabbing his sister's hand out of the air and pulling it back down to her side. "Stop that." He hissed quietly at her. "What the ******** are you thinking? Don't you realize how much danger you're in right now? Why are you even - I mean you never - why didn't you tell me -"
His neck muscles bulged, as his face tensed in a sudden, painful looking attempt not to get emotional. It looked like he was going to burst from rage. He couldn't even hear all the voices suddenly chiming in, as if they had any right to speak. This was HIS sister. No one else mattered right now.
His hand reached out and brushed her hair back, in a sudden moment of weakness. It all felt like some terrible nightmare, seeing her face here among the others. He had been ready to give up his normal life, to fight and keep the people who deserved happiness safe.
But she'd been one of those people. And now he couldn't fight to protect her, because she was here, fighting alongside him.
No, not alongside him. His face paled as he heard Caelius' words. She would be fighting the risky battles, instead of him. Poe. His little sister. Risking her life. While he sat back and watched.
His shoulders sagged down and his eyes slid shut. A whimper, whiny in nature, snuck out. "I think I'm gonna be sick."

Jeremy had been placed into Sun; high risk missions... She wasn't sure how she felt about that. Despite her constant teasing, he was the only best friend she had left from an old life, and she didn't want to lose him too. Not because she missed her old life - oh no - but because he was an important part of her life, 'old' or this 'new' one. However, there was nothing she could do about that...
Well, except to deal with it and trust him not to die in some horrible way, far from her. That would suck.
If she knew what Before was thinking, she would have sung him a song to remind him that high school never ends. Okay, maybe not. But the thought would be there at least.
Ferdi. She would have to remember that. Better to tease than 'Judy'. Dysfunctional siblings with matching hair dye colors. Avoid? Nah, they look like they'll be interesting to observe... Doesn't seem like there's a television here, so real life drama forever, yay.
"Finally."
She stood up from her seat to approach their superior, eyeing the box briefly before standing before him, not speaking a word as she glanced at him, waiting for further instructions. She might also have ruffled Gale's hair in a rather affectionate manner (except not really affectionate) when she realized that he was in the same 'group' as her.

Jerry, on the otherhand, positively bristled with excitement. High Risk? Bah! Everything they had been through so far seemed like high risk, how would that be any different? The tiny, rational part of him was screaming in terror, but the rest of him quickly drowned it out with triumphant songs of glory all earned on the battlefield. He could prove himself, yet!
As he turned to head back to his seat, one of the other Sun Hunters (Oh, he liked the sound of that!) was flagged down by Robert- things clicked. She struck him as a tough girl, honestly, and with a hand on Jordan's shoulder to drag him forward as well for back up in case Robert's fist decided to put another tear in his lip, he called out, "Don't worry, Robby! Alpha One and I'll be there to look out for her!"

Robert was not a fan of Jerry. His voice only served to remind the larger man that Jerry had introduced himself to the group by kissing his fiancee. So when Jerry decided to speak, Robert decided to kick his a**. This was a good place to start a fight, right? Of course it was!
Jerry's words sunk in a moment before Robert actually managed to react, saving them both from an embarrassing spectacle. Despite how much dislike the nerdy, four-eyed baffoon garnered from Robert, right now those were just the kind of words he needed to hear.
"Everybody better." He grumbled under his breath, trying to relax. He might have been a little grateful for Jerry's enthusiasm and helpfulness, at the moment - but he was pretty sure he'd be back to hating him at some point or another.
Like, for example, if he tried kissing his sister, much like he did to Petra.
Yep, that would do it.

There was a lot going on, only a small fraction of which Hanna was enjoying keeping track of in that moment. She was desperate to receive her evaluation. And why not? Hanna liked getting feedback. She liked results, always had. In school, she had considered report cards a paper testament to her merits and areas that needed improvement and had a habit of bringing it to her parents after dinner so that they might all rally together to talk about where she would go from here.
The usual antics that many of the Hunters chose to engage in raged around Hanna all over again. Robert certainly had a penchant for calling attention to himself. The face-tattooed teen stared at him flatly before moving her gaze back to Caelius. Poe Morris seemed familiar. Hanna just didn't understand why. Hopefully everyone would sit down soon so that they could just be in and out of her and back to training or other independent pursuits.
When Caelius called for everyone who had not been given attention yet, Hanna rose slowly from her seat and crossed to the spot where he indicated. Her hands hung limply at her sides, breath catching in her chest every so often. Had she done well? Had she failed? Why were these last few not even being named? Was she not worthy of being named? Were they going to kill her again?
Nervous eyes glanced briefly to Scott and Scarlett before Hanna gained control of herself again and elected to wait for her results in complete silence.

Catastrophe somehow failed to happen. Jordan breathed, shook his head minutely. He couldn't be angry. Had it been Andy, he couldn't say with certainty that he wouldn't have reacted the same way.
A Sun hunter; combat and protection? Yeah, that felt right. He didn't mind the risk. He'd come here with the intention of not holding back any more.
Jerry was using him as a human shield, he noted. Smart. But what he'd said was right. "We will," he promised Robert, and meant it; he looked to Poe, and to the rest of the Sun Hunters. They'd all - he hoped, at least, that they'd be able to protect the others and themselves.
When he returned to his seat, he did so with a lot to think about; he remained quiet, pensive.
