 Kazuya "She held the world upon a string..." Checking to make sure that Sakura had left sight, Kazuya lowered his cloak, revealing the several stitched areas of his upper body. With his sleeves now not being a fire hazard, Kazuya rubbed his palms together as the water in the two pots began to boil. Placing several bay leaves, vinegar, peppercorn, and a slight amount of salt in the larger of the two pots. As he allowed the spices to settle, he began to tenderize the chicken, adding several separate spices to it for it's own distinct flavor. Adding rice to the second pot, Kazuya added the now seasoned chicken to the pot of herbs, smiling as the smell of the soup began to waft throughout the house. "..but she would never hold me."

 The smell of the food almost made Sakura drool but she had work to do and put her mind on the tasks at hand. She began to take a mental inventory of her stocks so she knew what to prepare after lunch later on. Once done Sakura went out and took the washing from the line and began to fold and roll things.

Kazuya "She held the world upon a string..." Adding the rice to the rest of the soup, Kazuya smiled as he witnessed his finished work. Turning off the burners, Kazuya placed his cloak back on his body, zipping it back up. With his cloak fully zipped, Kazuya retrieved a bowl for Sakura and placed it on the counter. With everything all accounted for, he grabbed a ladle from the banister and filled the bowl with the steaming soup, calling out for Sakura in the process. "Sakura! Soups ready." "..but she would never hold me."

After she had finished with the washing she heard Kazuya call out about lunch and went to the kitchen. She sat down at the table with a smile. "Smells really good..." she said then had a mouthful happily. "Tastes good too. Thanks again Kazuya...well let's eat up" she said as she began to eat the meal.

Kazuya "She held the world upon a string..." Hearing her compliments, Kazuya smiled."Why thank you...I haven't cooked in a while." Pouring himself a small bowl of soup from the pot, Kazuya sat down at the table across from Sakura. Taking a spoonful of the delicious soup, Kazuya lowed the zipper of his jacket with his free hand, lowering it just enough to access his mouth. With his mouth now visible, he began to eat the delicious soup. "..but she would never hold me."

She gave a smile in return and looked up at Kazuya with a slight tilt of her head. "I should get you to cook more often...maybe put you in charge of the kitchen when your not giving me a hand with the guests" she said thinking of a way for him to help out a little more. She shook her head lightly "I get so busy here sometimes that I forget to eat so it would be helpful if you were able to do that for me" she said. She wondered how he had gotten the stitches and injuries but felt it wasn't her place to ask.

Kazuya "She held the world upon a string..." Kazuya smiled brightly, having just finished his soup. "I would be honored Sakura, I've never had such positive feedback on my cooking." Her words struck a chord within him, as even though she asks for nothing in return, she helps people selflessly. And to his surprise, she did not even ask about the smile, separate from his own, that was stitched onto his face. However, he could see that she had noticed them, so he decided to see what she thought. "A pretty nice smile isn't it?" He asked her.
"..but she would never hold me."

She had to giggle a little at the joke "Well I had wondered about it but it does appear to be some nice work" she said with a smile for him as she finished her soup and got to her feet, taking their bowl and washing them. "I wouldn't worry about it too much" he said as she turned and headed back to the table. "After all...I have seen much during this war already..." she told him.

Kazuya "She held the world upon a string..." Kazuya nodded as he too had seen the ravages that the wars were causing, both to the people within them, but also to the lands that they were being waged on. It was saddening to watch for Kazuya, as his only purpose was to find peace. Chuckling as she spoke about the scars he nodded. "I don't worry about them as much, but when making a first impression, a permanent smile is quite frightening to people, so I hide it." In the back of his mind, Kazuya was debating with himself on when he was going to ask Sakura if he could stay at her house.

She thought for a moment and then nodded "Hmm...I suppose it would be quite the surprise..." she said then gave a slight shrug and shook her head. "Well it matters not here...everyone is equal in my home and I treat them as such" she said as though it were the most normal thing in the world. "I'm sure that in the future things will become worse before they get better...but I try to make things easier for those that are affected by it as there are many reasons for their being here" she explained as she sat down again

Kazuya nodded, as her kind mission did not go unnoticed by him."I can see that what you are doing is in it's own way making it much easier for everybody....well almost everybody. You see, out of everyone you are helping, you are forgetting to help yourself." Kazuya smiled lightly as he tilted his head slightly. "If you ever need some time for yourself you can always rely on me to help out. After all, even you need a break sometimes." "..but she would never hold me."

Sakura nodded as she listened. "That's true...but for now I'm happy to be able to help out where I can in my own small way and I'll be sure to let you know if I need a rest...thank you again Kazuya for helping" she said with a soft smile before she stood and gave him a friendly pet on the shoulder before she returned to the main area of the house to prepare some of the herbs she had collected for use in salves.

Sakura went to the door and saw the figure. "Urm yes that's right...he dropped in here and I patched him up...your welcome to take a look around for him but don't start any trouble here..." she said and showed him to the main area.

"Of course. I would never cause any trouble here." said Zane, smiling and started looking around. He had fought Dante earlier and almost killed him, but escaped.
