Her fury was becoming unbearable and she needed a way to vent it. He was a coward and a trifling ignoramus who needed to be put in his place. Coraline should be the one to do that. Not some guard in the later time coming. It would only be a matter of time before he would be confronted by them. She felt even more angry for that fact. It wasn't going to be now he would be thrown off his high horse. And she wanted it to be now. She wanted to be the one to bring him down. Frustrated with him she just fused her anger with disappointment together, balled it up and threw it away. Calming down quickly, she realized it was pointless and better off if she didn't get into a physical confrontation. And the whole idea of being scolded by the mages wouldn't seem like such a good way to continue her week. That is if she didn't spend the night in a cell.
She listened to Hesita's words and let them sink in briefly before speaking back to her. ''I'd pay for the fine Hestia.'' She glanced over her shoulder and gave her companion a smile. ''No need for your purse to lighten because of me not being able to control my temper.'' though she sighed lightly and peered back at the man and watched him walk away. Food did sound nice though. A nice breakfast or lunch. Depending on what time it actually is. Coraline was befuddled on the time. She only knew the sun was up and still up. Not entirely sure on which hour of the day it really was. ''l could go for a meal though. l haven't eaten today yet.'' she didn't realize how poor that made her seem. Right now though she wasn't worried on her social appearance though. lt would seem she had already ruined that by letting her temper best her. ''My studies kept me up and l must have woken up late and this whole competition got me too roweled up that l didn't think of food till you brought it up.''
Though the easy small talk got her nerves calmed down she had forgotten about the crime she committed. Not paying attention to the guard who approached them. His words pierced her and she just froze in place. Her blood froze in her veins and her heart sank low in her chest. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up and she could have sworn she had gotten the goosebumps. She wanted to speak up and say it was her so not to get the others in trouble but her voice even went into hiding. It was a simple question, but, it was more like a death sentence to her. She hadn't really thought of the consequences for her actions. Before she could speak up for herself though Darrashk had taken the blame and given the truth of what happened. Well almost. A half truth is still true. Even if only half of it is.
The guard spoke again and let him, rather her, off with a warning. Feeling guilty, Coraline skulked into herself and let her voice whisper an apology to Darrashk. ''You didn't have to take the blame for it...'' His smile even made her feel worse. ''l could have taken him though.'' she tried to joke with them to ease her feeling about her malfeasance. Heaving herself around back to her natural happy-go-lucky self, Coraline grinned at the pair, still feeling a bit ashamed but steadily becoming okay with it. Perhaps a meal would make her less antsy. Though not really leaving the academy too much hasn't really given her a real chance to explore the fine cuisine the city has to offer. The only real place to get a meal that she knows of is The Feed Bag. And that really isn't the best place to get something fancy. But it fills you up. Perhaps an lnn would have a finer selection of delicacies to pick from. ''So where are we eating?'' she asked curiously. ''l'm sure you know of a fantastic places to go out and eat.'' Coraline was bit prideful but a free meal was a free meal and not only that, but it was going to be nicer then The Feed Bag. Or, at least it was how she was picturing it in her mind.

"I know you likely would, Coraline, but it's often best not to get the guards involved in the first place." The dark-haired woman nodded to Darrashk. "That was some quick thinking. Be careful you don't gain too much of a reputation with the guards, though. They can be so temperamental." She spoke lowly, and emphasized her words with a grimace.
She looked about the Arboretum. "I think I may search a little more before calling quits, but we could go to the Merchant Inn in the Market District for a meal. We'll all split the bill," she added: it seemed a suitable solution to all three being willing to pay for a shared meal. Her black eyes began to look at their surroundings again, and Hestia took a few steps towards the statue of Mara. Beyond that was a circle of stone pedestals, a sort of gazebo in the midst of the greenery. It had probably already been looked at, but it was a fresh place to start.
"I'm going to go check over there," she told Coraline and Darrashk, indicating. "Call out if you find somewhat?" She smiled at the pair and began to move away, intend to search local shrubs, flower beds, benches and rocks for possible hiding places.

@~,~'~~~Darrashk~~~'~,~@
Darrashk nodded to Hestia politely, "I will be, it was only my first offense" he then turned to Caroline, "It's ok Caroline, I'd rather be the one to get in trouble than you" he smiles again.
He tried thinking of the nicest place he could to eat at, but none came to mind because of how used to being the one cooking he was. He kept quiet not wanting to embarrass himself by saying he doesn't know any places to eat at and acted as though he was still thinking of nice places to eat at.
The thought of the strange man came back to his mind and the words echoed in his head, 'I know who you really are' the thought unnerved him, 'And what you've done' he thought the man spoke about him being in jail, 'And what you can do' as much as he wanted to pursue the man to get him to clarify what he meant, he didn't want to raise any suspicion.sorry for small post >.< I tried to stretch it out as much as I could but failed >.< having a small literature art block

ooooooooɔɵɾɐℓɩɳэɱɩɾɩэʌʈɾɐэɳɐHealth : Unharmed ┃ Magicka : Untapped┃ Energy : Fatigued┃ Effects : None ┃ Wielding : Nothing┃ Equipped : Steel Short Sword, Steel Dagger and Clothes ┃ lnventory : Parchment x 3, Ink Vial, Quill, Gold Coins x100 ┃ Location : Imperial City, Arboretum - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ♥♥♥ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Coraline really never had a confrontation with the guards before and didn't really mind having one. But it still petrified her when she had heard the lmperial's voice. lt had seemed like it echoed and he was yelling at her at the he top of his lungs. It did petrify her but that spell had worn off almost as quickly as it started. Though that was moments ago, she stopped living in the past and was back to conversing with what Hestia said. She'd pay for her meal. That did appease her. A free meal is a free meal, even though why she is buying is probably for the wrong reasons, it still made her happy. All of her thoughts of getting into a local street fight was left with those simple words. She probably was just hungry.
But speaking of getting in fights with guards and how temperamental they could be, it seemed that the one who was just quickly interrogating them wasn't more then just a quick question and left the one who was falsely taking the blame off with a warning. With that situation over though and Darrashk not wanting her to take the blame Coraline studied him quickly. ''You think it'd be another encounter for me?'' she questioned him. She knew his act was genuine and out of care taking then general protection. But she felt like he was accusing her of being a petty criminal who was always running into guards on her spare time. She was still a little agitated even though saying she wasn't earlier is a lie. Coraline saw him as if he was giving her snide remarks. Scoffing her. Like he was better then her and by protecting her and taking the blame, he was just proving how superior he was then her.
Hestia mentioned some Inn in the Market District and Coraline though it would be a good idea to go there to eat. She had heard good things about the Merchant's Inn, or, at least hadn't heard bad things about that place. So she nodded to her. ''Sounds good. l'd like to try their Sweet Rolls.'' she was smiling now. She loved Sweet Rolls. She had a bit of a sweet tooth which is why she liked them as much as she did. Luckily though, they were quite common around town and she didn't have to go to Leyawiin to get the more sweetened ones, or even to Skingrad for the top of the line best baked ones in all of Tamriel. ''And some tea with too much honey!'' she was now looking more forward to a desert then the actual meal.
As Hestia pointed off to the side and made her way towards another part of the Arboretum, she nodded to her. Giving her a quick ''okay'' signal. ''l think l'm going to go look for some more too Darrashk.'' Looking around she peer back at Hestia ''Should we just reconvene here in a few minutes?'' Just making sure it was just going to be a quick search instead of the two adult ditching her. She knew she wasn't the easiest person to get along with unless you had an adolescent mind, but, she was hoping Hestia was liking her. Darrashk seemed a bit more matured and wasn't latching onto her as she was hoping the doll faced man would. Either way, she'd have more time to go searching. As soon as she had her reply though she was walking around alone again unless Darrashk was tailing her and wanted to make sure she'd be alright, or just tagging along. She'd be fine with either of those. But she'd prefer to be alone right now. Clear her mind. That sort of thing.

Eliya ~ [ooc- I got sick of waiting for the others to post....and figured they might not plan on posting any time soon so I'm just wrapping up Eliya's involvement in the event]Eliya wasn't pleased that water from Eman'e dive had splashed her; the biting frigidness of the water left cold prints upon the Altmer and put a dampener on her mood. She'd just told her new aquaintence, Zelindor, that she was going to go put on some dry clothes, so Eliya began walking steadily away from the pier and back towards the inside of the city. After walking for a minute she realized he had not come with her. Without stopping the Altmer female shrugged. He had been cute and charming....but wet clothes were wet clothes. Considering he attended the Arcane University it was likely she would see him again.
By the time Eliya reached her quarters at the Arcane University her clothes were nearly half dry, but this mattered not to the woman. Reaching into the trunk next to her bed she quickly changed into common mage robes appropriate for her Journeyman status. The quietness of the dormitories was odd but not strange considering the Mage's Guild Event that was currently transpiring. Eliya looked around as she slipped her twin daggers in the folds of her cloak but there was no one around. Her weapons were hidden but easily accessible. Good.
Eliya spent the rest of the afternoon alone, looking for marbles. When she finally found the rest of her fourteen she made her way to the trading stall and exchanged the orbs for her prizes. All of them were small enough to slip into the inner pockets of her robe. Eliya walked through the city with a small smile on her face as she wondered whether she, Emane or Zelindor had been the first to find all fourteen. Surely she had won. She'd had a good start over the other two. Internally she shrugged. It didn't matter. One way or another she was sure she'd run into either or both of the two again. And when she did.... they'd have a good conversation starter. With mischievous smile lacing her full mouth, Eliya kept walking.

She gave each a cursory look, but the pretty flowers were well-tended and none showed signs of a telltale glint. She bent briefly to run her fingers around the base of a granite stone artfully positioned in one garden, and came away with two marbles, one like moss agate, the other striped like a tiger's eye. She would be almost sad to part with them, except that it would be silly and childish to hang on to them when she could use them for better gain...
As she put the pair into her belt-purse, she stopped and frowned. Hestia emptied out the contents of the small leather bag onto her palm. She had had three marbles before, so where had the ruby-red one come from? Her mind flashed back, confused and irritated, until she recalled Ilumus. He had bumped into her--had he given her this unexpected gift? The young woman pursed her lips and put the glass orbs away again. At least I know to watch out for him from now on, she thought grimly.
She spent a few more minutes searching, but her mind and heart weren't in the activity so much anymore. She didn't much like this unexpected and unwelcome combination of 'work life' and 'play life,' as her mother called it. (Hestia disagreed, of course.) At last, she found two more marbles, speckled one and a blue-grey one, in a bush, each nestled into crooks formed by the slender branches. She decided that that'd do, and she couldn't concentrate any further.
She caught sight of Darrashk out of the corner of her eye. Why had Ilumus targeted the man? Was Darrashk worth Brotherhood attention, or was it personal? Smoothing her green tunic, she decided to check in on him before she called out for Coraline. Hestia strode over towards Darrashk.
"Did you find anything?" she asked. "And are you alright, after that tumble? My, I didn't expect that... do you know that fellow?" The Imperial tilted her head ever so slightly and superbly feigned true bafflement mixed with concern.

@~,~'~~~Darrashk~~~'~,~@
No matter how hard Darrashk tried he couldn't push the thought of that strange man out of his head only to be brought back by Coraline's words, "No, no... guards just aren't the nicest group of people and they tend to abuse their power, I was just looking out for your safety and well being... not that you can't yourself" Darrashk was completely thrown off because of Ilumus. He was stressed out trying to figure out who that man was or what he wanted, "I just don't want the guards to hurt you is all"Darrashk was too distracted when Coraline was asking where to regroup and nodded at her suggestion, he had to go tell Rashka what happened, 'If any one could find information on that man, she'd know how to do it' Darrashk thought to himself. Feeling a little more calm and steady he looked back only to realize Hestia and Caroline had continued on with their search. Darrashk then realized that his ring was gone and was instantly filling with anger.
Anger was something only one person ever made him feel, his brother, but this man was not his brother. Could the man be working for his brother, this thought troubled Darrashk the most, it was time for Darrashk to take action. Before Darrashk could do anything though, Hestia approached him, first with a question of success then a question of concern. "I have found nothing, as for the fall it was unexpected but I'll be fine" his head turned to the direction the man left, "As for the man... I do not know him personally... but I have a feeling' he's working with some one quite dangerous... just when I was enjoying the peace" he turned back to Hestia and gave her some money, "Please, use this to pay for Coraline's food, I have to go speak with Rashka" not accepting no as an answer he was off running back to Rashka.

She nodded at the man and gave a small pursed grin towards him, trying to thank him without using words. She was being as polite to him now as she could. Her animosity being depraved from it's casual sense. Feeling more sorry for him then actually having any sort of gripe. ''Thanks.'' she finally spoke up to him. Her voice was quiet and timid. Half afraid to be scolded for her reckless actions if she kept speaking of them to either of them. But as soon as Hestia took off for her own adventure Coraline followed suit. She spun around on her heels and paced away from them both.
On her own she started to think of how to fit her actions into use. Instead of losing control, she was ready to kill the man for someone she had just met. Using her gifted abilities to cripple the man till he was nothing more then feed for the beasts. If it wasn't the man walking away and her two friends telling her to back down, she would have been wanted for murder. The Dark Brotherhood probably would have been creeping in her room, finding her some how. She was always curious on how that organization worked. She read tales, although vivid since there is little known about them, of how they had ways of finding even the most elusive person. So she had no reason to hide from them. It would almost make more sense to embrace them and live the life of a murderer. People disappeared there was no reason in doubting that but it still frightened her to some degree on how short her life could be if she angered the wrong person.
She wasn't really looking too hard for the marbles; her mind was too occupied with thoughts of living a life on the run or a life in a cell if she had gone through with the fight. Her mind didn't plan that far ahead while angered. Still being careless and out to prove her adolescent self instead of making a future. A life in the academy was only going to be temporary she hoped. Sure it was a nice place where she could study magic in peace and quiet, but it was dreadfully boring. The drudgery of getting new tomes of old wars and old heroes was starting to take a toll on her even though she had just started with her initial training. It would take still many more years for her to fully gain the title of being a full fledged member of the Mages Guild.
Her eyes caught something more round then a normal pebble should have been as she was passing around a guard who was watching her suspiciously, knowing it was her who taunted the man. lt was pretty hard to ignore that fact when it was a girl's voice who was yelling out and not a man's. But nevertheless he let her walk around since no real harm had been done to anyone as far as he was concerned.
Leaning down, she picked up another small marble. lt was very different from her first one. lt was a pale blue. Like someone's eyes who was aged. It was odd seeing this one and comparing it to the other one she first acquired. Slipping it into her pouch with the other she started making her way around the Arboretum and picking up five more, all different colors but oddly the same size. She had seven now: A pearl colored (her favorite), one that resembled a topaz, two green (shiny like emeralds), the pale blue one, one that was yellow and had a black stripe like a cat's eye and the last was like amethyst. She was also fond of the purple one but was more keen in the first one she had acquired in this little adventure of hers. After a bit more searching she knew somehow that these were all the ones she was going to find. Like it was meant that she was only allowed seven. So with all of them in her pouch she made her way back to her new friends. But as she was approaching she saw them talking. Only a few words were exchanged before Darrashk handed over something to Hestia and went on his way.
Waiting for him to be out of ear shot Coraline walked up to the woman. Trying to seem gulible to the fact that Darrashk wasn't going to be joining them she spoke softly to her, not in a quiet tone, but in a respectful. ''So l was thinking of exchanging my marbles before going to the lnn. What do you say? You can go ahead and l can meet up with you.'' She then held out the collective of seven out in her palm, revealing how many she had gotten, not really pulling off the fact that she hinted that Darrashk wouldn't be accompanying them. ''Thinking of getting some new robes. Hopefully they'll be able to tailor it to resemble the ones l wear now though.''

When Coraline approached her, Hestia turned and examined the marbles as she listened to the girl, and nodded.
"It looks like it will be us girls for dinner tonight. Let's stroll over to the Market then, Coraline, and look into those robes of yours. Mayhap they'll have a bow or two I can look at--I'm fond of archery, it's a skill I picked up accompanying my caravans about Cyrodiil. You should come along sometime," the Imperial added to the Altmer with a true smile. It might not be a bad idea to welcome this Coraline along for such journeys, as a companion if nothing else, but somewhat--instinct, experience, a knack for reading others--told Hestia that the young lady had more spine and feistyness to her than one would initially see.
And Coraline could be so utterly darling, it plucked at the sisterly and maternal heartstrings Hestia so often was forced to submerge.
"If they don't have a tailor, we'll find one. I know a few--it's ridiculous, the amount of gowns I go through in a year. Fashion is so fickle and temporary." She rolled her black eyes but smirked at the same time as she spoke. "Come along, my dear, shopping and a lavish dinner await!"

Coraline wasn't really sure how she should feel about that. Sure she was glad to be rid of Darrashk, he seemed to laden of joy whenever Coraline was around. But still he did take the blame for her run in with the guard. Though that shouldn't make her feel any different about how he was just probably out to slip underneath Hestia's dress. Although it couldn't be true too but she was believing it was. Whenever the three of them were together it seemed his attention was more so on Hestia then herself. Not hard to blame though. She was just a child still in most people's eyes. So he would look for someone else to entertain him instead of just annoying.
Hestia's words as she continued to speak put her mind at ease as they stood there conversing. Well listening in Coraline's sense. The two started to stride towards the market place to find the exchange for marbles where at. Some kind of vendor must have had a sign proclaiming his job. That and there must be some kind of long line. ''l like archery, it's such a pretty art.'' she said honestly. ''l wish l were skilled enough to shoot a bow. Though l think my flimsy arms aren't built to pull back a bowstring.'' she motioned towards her frail looking arms.
''And l'd love to join you! lt'd get me out of academy for a while. But you'd have to get permission from one of the mage's for me to leave... they're like my parents and want me home for supper.'' she giggled at that analogy. lt was funny picturing the other mage's as such. Seeing the Arch-Mage as some kind of over protective step-father who waited up at night to wait for Coraline to sneak in. Only to be caught and found out of her blasphemes plans of spending all night out catching sheep's wool on fire with the other misfits. But it just wasn't really that way. They weren't that overbearing. Just were looking out for her well being.
''l just recently made Apprentice too. So l think their choke on me might loosen if it'd useful for my training.'' They eventually found the merchant. Coraline piled out her marbles and asked for Robes of Destruction Fortification. Though as it turned out it only cost six out of the seven Marbles she had. She thought for a second of using the last one for arrows for Hestia since there was nothing else she wanted that she could purchase. Instead of buying them though she pocketed it. Making sure to keep it as a small memento of today's events.
