Haze paid not attention to the black dog as he openly mocked him on his lack of knowledge, as he was a little preoccupied with the game and all. Most he would probably do was stare at the boil with a blank look on his face, before shrugging him off completely.
Fumbling with the controls, he was careful not to scratch it with his claws--last thing he would need was to be in debt to a complete stranger. "Huh?" Tearing his gaze from the screen the dragon boil looked to Ren when he questioned his liking for the game. "Yeah, I think I've got the hang of it already!" Of course, his was going of course, even crashing into things most of the time. Yeah. He was pretty pro.
Exchanging his attention from Ren to the small pup Jove, Haze made no attempt to hide the large toothy grin as he looked at the tiny boil. He was SMALL! Smaller than anyone he had ever met. Jove would probably have trouble taking on some of the toads that lurked back in his swamp--or at least that's how he saw him. But he was adorable none the less. "Your so tiny!" He said reaching to rub at the small boils hair, ruffling it up.
Glancing over his shoulder, he watched as the red wolf ghoul greeted new people that wondered over to the booth. "This game sure is popular." Speaking mostly to himself, he continued to watch the students a moment longer before looking back to the screen. "Huh?" Clicking madly at the controller, Haze jumped to his feet and pointed accusingly at the skelevision. "Something ate my character!" He whined, not realizing the game was over..and he was just getting into it too!

The Patchwork runner gave the frosty demoness, Edel, a nod as she responded to his praise, and rather excitingly at that. Her adrenaline rush was rather amusing for the more experienced player to see. It seemed she didn't get to have fun much. "You did well for a beginner. Amazing for your first race ever." Moure gave another firm nod. She had done well. At her suggestion, Moure blinked and looked at her. Then gave a smile and nod. Helping her become a better racer... Moure could do that. After all, it was doing something he loved to do (race) and helping someone. Win-win. "Of course. If you make it into the school, I'd be glad to teach you how to play. I'm sure you'd be great in no time." She cheered when he got his prize, and then it seemed she discovered something...strange(?) in another booth. She excused herself and Moure nodded as she went to leave. "It's been a pleasure to meet you, Edel. I hope you get to the school someday." This was a sincere comment. She seemed like she would be an amazing student, at least to the Patchwork (but then again, what did he know anyway?).
LW commented on his victory, and he turned to nod at her. "If I'm allowed to, I'd love to race again." He gave a resolute nod here. "Let's hope you don't have to wait long. I can't wait got my papers to actually get through..." This was actually a true statement on several layers, as Moure was actually really impatient about this. He didn't like wasting time, but at least he was being productive (after all, he was giving people competition right? (Don't argue with his logic, alright? In his mind, this works.)) here at the Open House.
Whilst Moure had been chatting (Why was he talking so much?? This Scario Kart place must be a good influence on him or something...) another ghoul ((Danny))had apparently noticed his prize from the first race and had started talking. "Well, I'm not exactly sure what..." He had turned while speaking, and found himself looking at a demoness with bright orange hair. But the first thing he noticed was that she had a fire burning on the edge of her tail.
A fire. A FIRE.
Moure, the prize orb the ghoul had just been poking a bit still in hand, auctomatically slid back in his beanbag chair as far as he could without running into Winona. The main weakness an undead has was her element. And she was the one type of creature that has the upper hand against a Patchwork. A FIRE Elemental demon.
If there was one thing that could rattle Moure's nerves, it was being near someone who controls fire. (Well that, and being around his creator, but she wasn't going to come to the campus, right?) Danny, she had said her name was Danny. "Well, uhm, I don't really know what it is. You'd have to ask him." Moure nodded in Ren's direction. "It was my prize for winning the first race..."

Open house? Well that certainly was strange.
The were-monster was well acquainted with such things in other places, but were they seriously opening the doors for future students here? At this institution? Amityville? Really?...okay, well it sort of made sense, this business just as any required funds for field trips, new computers, so on and so forth...
Thinking on it while taking long steps forward, the ghoul supposed that what really surprised her was...well, really, who in their right mind would want to be a part of this academy knowing what it was Natalia knew. Or thought she knew, anyway? There was the possibility, and this seemed very likely, that these sorry applicants were unaware of how certain events were held, and what they would be getting themselves into here...but come now, had the deaths not reached the news?! Was this a place that lived and died by the rule 'what happens in Amityville, stays in Amityville'? Hrm...
...Well in any case, as she came across the sea of new faces, glowing citrus eyes scanning each and every one critically; she was not about to be the monster that spoiled the surprise. Not when several of these future tots gathered in the open were scrumptious looking creatures. Mmm...At least Amityville's administration had great taste...
Sashaying her way through the crowds, dressed in casual(3) wares, Natalia beamed with delight as most of her thoughts prior dissipated. So many beautiful beings wandering about, desperately trying to fit in amongst the regulars, willing to do just about anything to get in...so it seemed...It would be quite the adventure sifting through the dozens, searching for individuals who would some day be worthy of a midnight call, or a quick make-out session in the bathrooms. Or something to that effect. Which of course was the only thing on the ghouls mind.
...There...certainly were a lot of them too as she slipped deeper into the center of several booths, the colorful signs on each just barely peeking out between heads and tails, just so she could see the tops of their letterings but nothing more. It was getting to the point where one visitor turned into another, anonymous individuals moving in and out of sight--when one caught her eye, another quickly took its place, followed by several more clustered in corners she simply could not reach in time. Elbows began to bump her torso and shoulders, a snappy werelemur turning her attention every which way to correct such rude actions...but, truly, the number of students surrounding her became a bit overwhelming, and no matter how fond she was of all the touching and groping; the pain of a few kicks to her shins was not worth the while.
Not now, anyway.
Pushing her way to the nearest bunch, which seemed to house the lowest population, Natalia arrived at the Scario Kart booth with a growing smile spreading her pale cheeks.
Was that Renaissance? Soft, non-lady-like pants were caught in her throat as the boil she knew all too well became her main focus. Oh boy yes it is! For a moment, a brief moment the ghoul wondered if she should just turn around and make her way to another group, even motioning to turn around by glancing over a shoulder...but the ruthless crowd behind her would never appeal more to the monster than finally facing her problem with the gryphon boil. Especially when he was unable to escape her...considering this was HIS club.
Bypassing the others for the moment, Natalia stood before the golden haired monster and spoke through her teeth. "Where do I sign up?"

xxxxxPoor patchwork. He was very afraid of people it seemed. He scooted away the second she even walked up to the booth! Now he was squirming in his beanbag ... Pity, he looked like an athletic type too! She offered him a hand up quizzically and said, "You're a big fraidy cat, huh? Are people really that scary? Well nevermind, you probably don't want to talk about something so personal. Can I hold your ... ball please?" Was it a ball? It was a bit oddly shaped for that.
xxxxxDanny looked over to the one called "Ren." He was a ... gryphon? At least she thought he was. He looked rather busy helping people though, so Danny decided to let him be. When LW called out her name and an invitation, her attention was immediately captured by the werewolf girl.
xxxxxDanny waved to LW as a sign of friendliness. What a welcoming bunch of people! She flopped down onto a cushion, careful not to squish her take or let it touch any decor. A booth on fire was not a good impression.
xxxxxShe picked up a stray controller and waited for the next round. Who would she play as though? Scario? Princess Screech? She swished her tail back and forth happily while she thought about it.
xxxxx"When's the next race?" she questioned. She didn't mind waiting a few minutes, but if it was going to be hours ... Danny didn't have the best attention span after all.

Ren waved goodbye to Edel, pleased that the ghoul had at least had a good time while she was here. He had been distracted both by Jove's arrival and Haze's new found love for Scario Kart, but now that he looked up Ren could see several more people had arrived.
"Seiji, my man," he said cheerfully, greeting the ghost boil with a lift of his good hand in a wave. "Nice to see you again. I assume you're here with Jove? He came to bring me some fluffs for the game, but I'm glad to see you here."
If there was anyone Ren trusted to look after Jove it was Seiji; after all, the Jove looked up to the ghost and felt safe around him, and Seiji was good to him, which made Ren in turn feel good. His eyes flitted briefly to Tybalt, a midly exasperated expression on his face. "Dude, you start everything he said dryly, and shook his head, flashing a I'm so innocent glance at LW. The shewolf was speaking to Tset and a new boil, one whom Ren did not recognize. He stepped away from Seiji, smiling brightly.
"Hey, what's up?" he said, and held out his hand to the one wearing a nametag that said Van on it. "Nice to meetcha; the name's Ren, and I see you've already met the lovely LW here."
There was another ghoul that had just stepped up, this one with bright orange hair. Ren squinted briefly at her nametag, then slid towards her, ducking low in an overexaggerated, extravagant bow. "Welcome to the Scario Kart Club, Danny," he said, grinning. "I'm glad to see so many ghouls are interested in the game, as well as boils. Nice to have a good variety here."
Haze was still engrossed in the game. Ren's eyes moved towards the dragon and he shook his head in amusement. "Don't get too caught up in that, Haze," he called over his shoulder as he stepped towards the booth to grab a marker. "Otherwise you'll miss out on meeting other - Natalia."
Out of all of the people he had expected to see at the booth, the werelemur was not one of them,. Ren had not spoken a single word to Natalia since their last meeting, and that one had been...not so good. If anything, he had attempted to block it from his mind, trying not to remember the good times or the fact that they were no longer friends. He took a hesitant step backwards, stopping abruptly a few feet away from her, his wings fluttering as they pressed against his back.
"Natalia," Ren said again, and forced himself to stand still, keep calm, even though all he wanted to do was explode. He wasn't sure whether or not he wanted to scream at her angrily or run and hug her, but he couldn't forgive her. Not after what she had said to him.
There was a heavy silence. Ren stared at the werelemur. After a long moment, he forced out a few words.
"Here. Nametag. Write your name on it."
In the course of attempting to control himself, he completely missed Danny's question.

Her smile was warm and welcoming towards Liya and held some other emotion. "I'm glad you are doing well. Hope you are at least having fun while checking out the booths! Maybe you'll find one that is just right for you." She really was glad to see that her friend was doing well, especially considering what they had all gone through. "Feel free to stick around and hang out if nothing else has caught your eye!" She gave Liya another wave as her attention went back to the boils next to her.
"Really?!" LW stared at the boil in shock. Never played any games before? Oh they needed to remedy that in the very near future! As soon as she could pull her partner in crime away from the crowd. "Wait, you're a runner?" The she-wolf gave Cervantes a curious head tilt and bumped Tybalt with her elbow. "Hey Tybalt! You should talk with this guy! He's a runner." And the black dog was on the track team. Maybe the two boils should chat some?
But her attention was fairly quickly drawn back to Cervantes. Her eyes were bright with interest now. "Devil's Dogs?" This was new. She'd never heard of the Devil's Dogs. Were they like a hellhound? Her eyes flashed towards Tybalt. No, this boil wasn't like Tybalt. "So you are a fellow canine?!" The she-wolf was more than pleased to meet another canine friend! Giggling at the boil, she threw her arms around Tybalt and pinched his cheek. "See what happens when you don't wear your nametag?" Of course her gaze went to Ren and her smile just widened. LW promised that if it was still there at the end of the day, she would take it off.
She noticed the dragon boil watching her and she took the chance to give him a wave. "How do you like it so far?" LW called over to him. "Fun, isn't it?" The look on his face was pretty clear he was enjoying it. And then he seemed to glance back at the screen and...freak out just a little. The she-wolf quirked an eyebrow at him. She and Ren had some work to do with that one. "No, no it's alright!" LW tried not to giggle, arms still lightly around Tybalt. She also tried not to giggle into the black dog's shoulder either. "It...the game just ended! You have to start a new game." The she-wolf informed him.
A familiar scent hit her nose. One that belonged to a ghoul she had not seen in what seemed like forever. LW didn't even have to look for her, she knew she was there. "Natalia!" The she-wolf all but shouted in glee, finally spotting the were-lemur. She didn't notice any of the tension between her best friend and her fellow were. But something did make her stay where she was (poor Tybalt) instead of running and hugging the ghoul.

Jove's chin tucked down, feeling exposed and entirely too scrutinized all of a sudden at Ren's announcement. He hadn't wanted that sort of grand entrance, he just wanted to deliver the little wisps! In a futile attempt to hide his blush he bent over and herded them under the booth, making little 'shoo shoo' motions as he went. And remarkably, the little fluffy, fiery orbs made their way safely under the booth.
Satisfied that the critters weren't going to be stepped on or kicked, Jove allowed himself to shyly look around at the group that had gathered. He was surprised he hadn't seen the young demon at the academy before, she looked to be roughly his own age and had no visitor's badge. But looked like the club booth had been drawing a significant number of potential students. One even smelled canine-like. It was no wonder Ren was in such a good mood.
He was thinking about wandering over to grab Seiji and sit to watch the people playing, when he noticed an unfamiliar boil giving him a frightening grin. And then... He said... And he...
Jove puffed up as tall as possible and scowled fiercely, his ears flattening flat against his fluffy hair. But he stood completely still until the boil walked away. He wanted his brother's booth to be a success, and maybe get lots of new recruits, and the pup had more willpower than to start causing a fuss... But it didn't stop him from shooting Ren a glare as if to say "Did you hear what he called me?!"
But then he noticed his brother's stiff stance, and trotted his puffed-up self over to stand protectively by Ren's side as he faced the pale ghoul in front of him.

(( Internet died yesterday, so here's my small attempt at leaping back in! 8D; ))
People. Too many people.
The next thing Winona knew, she had slowly lowered herself to the ground by the booth and hugged her knees to her chest, her hood still pulled close over her head: deep breaths . . . deep breaths . . .
It really wasn't helping that a fire demon was nearby (and even worse, had she known was a Devil's dandy hound was), and what was worse was the fact that Jovewas now on the scene - and the first thing she wanted to do was take those foxfires, if not the student himself.
So many fuzzy creatures . . . someone with a blue and white striped tail had come in now, clearly exuding confidence.
And quite suddenly, the shadowmancer had very little energy. If only she didn't have to have the visitor's pin on, she would have literally melted in the shadows to calm down. As it was, she was reduced to observing everyone, trying her best to stay in the conversation - and see when the next game would go on.
But always at the back of her mind, she wanted to hold something soft in her lap, as that was the easiest way to regain her nerve. Oh, Tenebrae . . . I miss you.

"Nice to meet you, too," Van smiled at Ren, reaching over to clasp Ren's hand firmly. His nails were clawlike, a mark of his demon race, and so he tried his best not to scratch Ren, who appeared to be a gryphon-kind. "I have certainly met LW, she is welcoming and comforting. Although I fear I've disappointed her in my inexperience with video games." Cervantes was clearly joking, and he smiled at Ren. When his smile relaxed, the pinprick scars on his lip were clearer; he had evidently pierced his lip with those sharp incissors more than once.
Cervantes couldn't help but notice the tension between Ren and the stranger. He didn't recognize her, but something made him nauseous about the interaction. Was it an urge to hunt prey? She did look an awful lot like something his kind would hunt. And he hated to see Ren so upset. Van took a deep breath and looked back at LW to calm down. "It's true, I've never played a game before. I didn't have the opportunity." His sharp-tipped tail flicked up and drew the hair away from his face carefully. "I love to run," he said, his eyes lighting up, "almost more than anything that I know of." He looked to Tybalt with curiosity. "So that's Tybalt?" He looked over at the black dog. "Oh? Do you run? I prefer long distance; I'm not the fastest, but I don't give up easily." He gave a wicked grin, which looked more malicious than he had intended. It hinted at the kinds of things he would not give up, if presented with the challenge.
"That's right, sort of," he replied, when LW asked him if he was a canine. "It's why you smell so familiar, I think. I'm ... well, I'm a hound, but a curious kind." He belonged to the devil, to the fae, to his pack. It wasn't a species with a lot of room. But he was still a demon, regardless of his canine background.
Distractedly, he looked over at the shadowmancer who seemed to be freaking out. "..Hey, is that thing okay? It looks kind of upset." Van frowned, unhappy that someone was feeling so out of place at the gathering which was making him so happy.

The scarecrow lost intrest in whatever booth he was at last. There were tons of people who were all unfriendly and didn't want to talk. How not splendid!
He stepped up to this new booth and looked around for the nearest student. "Hello! I'm Eracs. Who are you? What are you? What are you doing here? And would you know what this booth is about?" Never did he learn about asking too many questions might not be the best thing nor what type of them to ask.

Thing? She was a thing now? An it?
Meekly Winona prodded at her chest with a finger, so easily hidden behind her cloak with its lack of development, and despaired.
Negative attention was not good attention, no matter what anyone said. Did she look like she was freaking out? Oh Jack, she didn't want to cause a scene . . . !
"M'okay," she responded to the canid boil without looking at him, suddenly quite interested in everyone's feet. And new feet met her gaze - a scarecrow had joined them it seemed. She honestly didn't know how to answer a barrage of questions effectively, so she indicated the booth's sign and its student leaders, hoping that was good enough.

LW's sweet voice came like a whisper in the wind as her undivided attention remained fixed to the crumbling boil before her. She almost missed it, to be quite honest, especially when a tiny creature all puffed up and adorable came trotting to the gryphons side. Renaissance had not changed his mind on the matter between them, this she was certain of; tilting her head to the side in an attempt to better read his varying expressions, but all the same Natalia could not deny the fact that she was happy to see him.
Not that she would share this information.
He reacted just as she had expected, prompting the young monster to smile far more sinisterly than before. "Oh, come now..." The ghoul prodded, clawing at the air that had once been Renaissance. Before he stumbled away and all. Her eyes flicked between the two who stood before her, somewhat drawn to the young one who seemed determined about something...or constipated? Ew. She hoped not, but really Natalia could not tell. In any case his silence was proving to be time consuming considering the situation, and so she continued once her unsettling gaze fell upon the gryphon once more; shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly.
"Is that really any way to speak to potential club members?" A lively chuckle slipped from Natalia's throat as she leaned forward without a bend to either knees, tail swaying left and right behind her, and took the marker in her fair-skinned grasp. Mumbling something, eyes fluttering away from Renaissance to LW, to the ghost beside her, and then finally down to the name-tag where she wrote neatly across its face. "You're going to love this, Renaissance."

"There!" The creature chirped once finished, snapping straight up with the marker squeezed between two fingertips. "Suits me, don't you think?" Peeling away the back end of the tag and patting it on her left breast, the ghoul stood for a moment simply staring into Renaissance's face, finally bitting down on her lip as shrug sent several strands of blue hair to her back.
To the young ghost boil beside the gryphon monster, she giggled and waved her hand. "My name is Natalia. The monster, to some." Stepping back to bow slightly, before glaring directly at Renaissance (a sort of 'I'll be watching you, from over there...' type of expression), she turned and began walking toward the crimson she-wolf several paces away.
"LW! Sweetheart! I have missed you!" Coming up to the ghoul with her arms opened wide, the lemur offered a long overdue embrace to her Truth or Dare partner. And to the rest of the students around them, particularly the dark-skinned ghoul who had fallen to the ground and a few of the others who might have noticed her arrival, Natalia grinned and winked in passing.
Soon, they would get their chance to speak with her...certainly.

(Sorry about poofing there for awhile. Ended up coming down sick for a few days and it knocked me for a loop.)
Tsubaki had just stood back and watched as the first game was played, a bit confused by it all at first and chose to watch and learn instead of trying a bit more hands on approach at the moment. she was sure there would be other times to get in there and give it a go... and it did look like a fun game. Maybe not as fun as a good book, but that was a hard goal to reach.
Though before she knew it, there were more students there... somewhat surprised at how many were gathering there. So many of them had gathered there before she knew it and it made her feel more than a little nervous... taking a step or two back from the main group, choosing to hang out on the edge for the time being. She was a little envious of the club leaders who seemed to have no problem flitting here and there amongst the crowd. However, it didn't seem that everyone felt so comfortable and her eyes fell back onto the small shadowmancer girl again. Reapers made her nervous. Plain and simple. But the girl seemed even more nervous around groups than Tsu did and she couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for her.
Bitting at her lip nervously, Tsu took a deep breath and approached the smaller girl, gently tapping her on the shoulder before producing a small wisp plushie from inside one of her sleeves. Who knew what other things she was hiding in there, but plushie always made her feel better and hoped it might do the same for Winona. "Excuse me... sorry, but you seem like you could use something to hold onto, If you'd like, you can have this. it's very soft." she said with a little smile, forcing down the butterflies in her own stomach at being so close to a reaper.

Eracs watched the other students. None had answered his questions, how not splendid. But oh. He watched a ghoul pick up some thing off the table and put it on herself. He couldn't read it much but maybe he was had to do the same? The boil picked up a sticker and put it on himself. Though he hadn't wrote a thing on it since he was sure how to write his name. There. Perfect. Then he saw the girl with the tail. She had the most giant tail he had ever seen! Eracs approached Natalia. "Why hello! Are you a part of whatever this booth is about? And oh, my name is Eracs, who are you?"

Natalia's heels were a half-click away from LW (who seemed blissfully unaware of Renaissance's distaste for the lemur ghoul--How splendid!) when a voice from behind made her slow to a stop. It would only be a moments hesitation, but in that moment she peered over her shoulder, eyes searching the crowd until they settled on the scarecrow boil. Then, she spun around on her high-heels and continued to walk backwards.
At first the monster seemed to be fighting the urge to let her gaze drift, flicking back and forth between something in the distance and the new-comer before her. (it was not Ren...definitely not Ren...) However, despite her wavering attention span, a sweet smile filled out her long face; acting as a gesture that would ensure the boil she would...eventually address him properly. When the ghoul finally managed to disregard the object ways away, stopping completely only as her back came nearer to the she-wolf, Natalia adjusted her arms so they crossed just below her chest, slipping in a quick once-over of the applicant who looked fascinated with her. Or, well it was probably her tail, but the lemur chose to think otherwise. When she noticed the orange sticker on his chest, of which was sort of puffed out in pride...? She pointed one of her elegant fingers at Eracs name tag and chuckled.
"Might want to put your name on the tag, Eracs." She said his name with a hiss at the end, letting her tongue poke out between sharp white teeth. Behind her the bi-colored tail swept the ground in search for LW, readying to curl somewhat around the ghouls torso when it finally made contact. In the mean time, she appraised the boil named Eracs from her towering stance.
"My name is Natalia, and no I'm sorry to say I am not a part of this club--booth, thing. Not yet anyway..." Throwing LW a mock pouty-face, the werelemur pushed her lips to one side before continuing. "I'm quite the busy bee to be honest. I do not have a whole lot of time to join the fun things...But I'm sure it is a wonderful club to be a part of, when you are enrolled of course...Just watch out for the bad eggs." The laughter that followed hinted to something. Something that no one but Renaissance would understand, if he could even hear what it was they were talking about.
