Kiburi almost jumped out of her pelt at the voice - it seemed she had gotten rather nervous since being taken as a slave here. She was relieved when it came not from a Firekin but from the lioness she'd been hoping to talk to.

She crawled forwards, body trembling as she reclined on the sand before her. "Hello." She gulped, trying to rid the lump from her throat so she could speak better. "Are you a member of the pride?" If the answer was yes she was ready to turn and run. She wasn't ready to face them just yet, not ready to speak with any other pride member apart from Lord Kimeti.

The shame was still too much to bear.

Placing her full attention on the other lioness that had made her way over, Kirjava's crimson eyes looked over the other. The coloration of the female was lovely, colors she has never seen before. As Kiburi reclined just close to her, she flicked her tail softly as she wondered if the question was directed towards her. Blinking slowly, she shook her head, "I don't think I am...The King referred to me as a slave, but I don't know exactly what that means; I've never been in a pride before." She spoke the last part softly as an ear flicked as the fighting seemed to have died down.

Kiburi canted her head, the pearly fur covered in sand as she regarded the other lioness. Her slate-blue eyes widened and after a moment she relaxed a little. "That's what I am too. Lord Kimeti said I was to take care of the slaves...make sure they don't get in twubble." She drew in a shaky breath. "But I dunno what to do."

She moved closer, finding comfort in being close to the other and knowing that they were in the same predicament. "You were a rogue before you came here?" Kiburi perked up, the slither of a smile returning to her face.

"Hmmm..." Kavu mused, curling his tail around his paws. His mother gone... That would make things easier, though certainly less enjoyable. Well, at least Kafara was here. Maybe.... maybe they could... Hmm. He would have to speak to her about it.

He didn't watch as Kwana walked away - he really didn't care where she went, as long as she no longer tried to take control of the pride. She really would have made a good leader, but not the kind Hestia wanted. He needed someone mallable. Someone who could grow to trust him.

"Well." He said finally, glancing down at his paws before looking back at Kimeti. "Let us hope she finds happiness out there, eh? There's no sense in staying here, being miserable, if she can find what she's looking for elsewhere."

With the other lioness to talk to, Kirjava gave her a small smile. "I'm Kirjava...the other lion over there," Motioning to Teleka, "He found me and told me what to do. Can I know your name? Can I call you by your name?"

At the question, she nodded slowly, "Yes. I don't remember much about my family...all I remember is wandering around and playing with some friends quite a while ago."

Teleka listened into the two slaves talking, Kimeti got this other femme? He shrugged and stretched his body watching Kijinga moving. He stood up a little and walked down towards his sister, and Kijinga but he walked to his sister so not to make anything obvious to what he was truely doing.

He stepped upto his sister and nuzzled her shoulder like he had done many times before and then he sat down, his head bowed to both Kimeti and this strange lion. He was crurious to who the other femme was as well but he said nothing and just watched for now, out the way he could keep watch.

The sense of gaining a new friend helped ease the little lionesses' fear and she moved even closer until the tips of their paws almost touched. "It's nice to meet you Kirjava. I like meeting new lions and you definately seem very nice. I wonder if there are many others like us?" She was suddenly excited at the prospect of meeting other slaves, not yet understanding her situation. All she knew was that they were there to obey, it sounded similar to a family, with her always obeying her parents. Maybe the lions here were just caring for them and the word 'slave' was their way of saying 'cubling.'

Would she find many other brothers and sisters in this place? She would care for them just as Lord Kimeti wished.

"Well...I can be your sister now and we can be a family!" She nodded happily, curling her tail so the tuft lay between her forepaws.

She glanced around though, noticing the other firekin close by and stuck her tongue out at him before turning to gaze at the other femme. "My name is Kiburi." She whispered playfully, "call me Kib if you want." She took another peek at Teleka, "why does he keep looking over?" She continued in a whisper. It was beginning to make her feel nervous at any rate.

As Kiburi moved closer till they could talk quietly to one another, Kirjava smiled. "It's nice to meet you too!" She nodded her head before her crimson eyes widen slightly, "Sister! I've never known any family members..." She whispered the word again, "That sounds nice." Perhaps this wouldn't be as bad as she was beginning to think it'd be. She'd get to have a friend here, someone to talk to. At the inquiry, she turned her head slightly to Teleka and then back to Kiburi before giggling softly at the gesture Kiburi made, "Him? I guess he was curious about you...I'm not sure though." Her tail flicked as she turned her head slightly, "I think things started to die down...that was pretty scary, I admit."

Mpeka watched the two royal brothers, nuzzling against her own with a small purr coming from her maw, only to watch as Kijinja came over, this was the one Teleka wanted, yes?

A small smile laced her maw, before she nudged her brother slightly.
"I think someone would like your company more then I do dear brother." She said in a sly fashion, but that smile was still there.

After saying that, she turned to Kimeti, he certainly had shown bravery and wisdom, both he and his brother had done well, but she felt much more taken with the young King's performance.

Her ear's flattened a bit, she'd been so confused lately, she'd kept thinking about him, about how they where just friends, but how she felt she should stay by his side and not follow Kwana.

She was confused about these feelings.
But somehow, she knew she'd find out the reason sooner or later.

For now she just watched them, waiting for their next move as the former lady of the Firekin, Kwana, walked of.

Teleka looked at his sister and then Kijinga, "If this goes wrong I am blaming you!" He smiled at his sister as he left her side and trotted over to Kijinga.

His smal walk over to her felt something like when you know that you are in trouble and you have that dreading feeling in your stomach were you suddenly feel sick and wish the ground would eat you up. It is definatly strange at how life works sometimes.

He reached the female and bowed his head to her, she was still of a royal blood line even if she was not ruling. "Hello there m'lady!" He smiled trying not to look cheeky but at the same time he just wanted to pounce her playfully and mess around though this was not the place for that. "Why did you suddenly leave me?" He blurted it out suddenly though quietly he didn't need Kimeti or the other male hearing adn then ripping him to shreads for liking their sister.

Teleka was confused but he let it slip, what ever it was it was over with. He glanced back towards his sister before moving closer to Kijinga, he was going to dare it again and he did this time a little different.

He took a deep breath, shifting his weight around and flicking his mane so he could see the lioness in front of him, he stepped ever closer to her and lowered his head to hers, he moved closer and nuzzled her, this time it ended with a lick which he quite quickly moved back from. His brown eyes watched her light form as the thoughts of how stupid he was flew through his mind. His ears flicked back to see if Mpeka would say anything.

New friends! Well this wasn't all bad! She beamed at the other, finding herself relaxing in her presence, something she hadn't done for a day or two now. They'd be a family and take care of one another just like she had in the Pridelands.

"Okay then sis." Kiburi smiled cheerfully, "we'll be a family from now on, that way no one can hurt us, not even those big brute lions." For she had the idea that nothing could break up a family, not even death.

At the reference to the fighting Kib turned her head to gaze at the others. It seemed that things had quietened now, especially since the appearance of the other red coated lions. She kneaded the ground with her forepaws, ears flattening as she nodded thoughtfully. "Yep, I'm glad they stopped, the lions here are fierce - more giant and fierce than my papa!"

She let her eyes fall upon Teleka who seemed to have focused his interest on someone else. "Why would he be curious about me? Maybe he not see a lion of my colour before. Red fur is pretty but here I think it gets boring, yus indeed!"

Mpeka may not have been watching her brother that much, but she'd at least seen the romantic touch between those two, she cocked her head slightly before having to desperatly hold back her laughter.

Mind you, she probably would have acted the same way if she was as head over heels as her brother was.
She then cleared her throat before walking over to the two love bird's, a smile on her maw as she looked at Kijinja.

Well, she hadn't poked any fun at him recently, best time to do it.

"Hello, you must be the one my brother keeps talking about?" She asked softly, bright yellow eye's watching the bright pelted femme.
