Ryl sighed, pushing herself up to her feet. "Well I certainly see that there's potential," she said. "We seem to have compatible personalities thus far, even though it's only a first meeting." She looked back on the conversation she and Rai had had thus far, thinking over what a relationship would be like between the two of them.
"I think the main thing would be finding out how much each of us would have to compromise from our lives. Obviously we seem to have set habits, and change has caused worse things than romantic break-ups. It's never easy, changing."

Rai nodded listening to her talk about their potential and how they had had a good time for it being the first meeting. He couldn't agree more though that nodding stopped when she said compromise. He sent her a sharp look. He didn't see what need to be compromised. "Compromise huh? And what exactly do we need to compromise on per say?" He asked.

Ryl hummed a little, thinking. "Well, from the sound of it, you kinda live in one place. Either with your parents or near them. That's what it sounded like when we were talking earlier, and that you're being sent to fetch your sister back "home" just kinda lends to it."
She gave Rai a very serious look. "I'm a wanderer, always have been. I still drop in to visit my dad from time to time, but I always end up leaving against after awhile. Dad gets it, he's the same way, but you've got a family. Even if you decide to wander with me, is your family going to accept that without question?"

Rai sighed. She didn't sound to happy about the fact that she stayed in one spot for long periods of time. "Honestly I do wander a lot but I do go back home and stay there for extended periods of time. I don't live with them but I when I do go home to stay I am near them." He paused little on the miffed side if she thought that he just stayed one place and only left get his sister.
"I don't care if they accept it or not. It is what it is and what I decide."

Ryl raised an eyebrow. "You made it sound like your family was quite close though. I would hate to be the cause of a major argument, especially if this really doesn't end up working out."
She stood up, shrugging lightly. "As for the wandering thing, well. That's kinda where compromise comes into play. You might have to wander a little more than you usually do, and I'd have to learn to stay in one spot longer than I tend to. And it doesn't have to remain a permanent, fixed thing, of course. One thing I've noticed about life is that all things end up changing at some point."

"My family is close but I don't see a fight breaking out over this really. It is what it is. They will either like it or they wont but they don't get a say since its my life." Rai told her firmly.
"That doesn't sound to bad and or horrible. I say we try." He told her with the utmost confidence and a smile. He waited to see how she would reply.

Ryl smiled softly at Rai, and leaned forward to nuzzle her face against his neck. "Certainly we can try. It would be a shame to just drop something that could turn out amazing over silly little 'might be's."
After all this relationship might end in them getting hurt, but it would hurt so much more to look back in life and realize she might have given up something great.

Rai let out a content pleasured sound as Ryll nuzzled his neck. It felt extremely good he had to say. "So I call you my mate right?" he asked nuzzling her cheek making sure they were on the same page. Couldn't have misunderstandings this earlier right.

Ryl snorted, pulling back and looking up at Rai. "Let's just say girlfriend for now. I don't think we can qualify as mates until at least our third day of living together," she said, a spark of humor in the back of her eyes.

Rai let out a disappointing grumble but let it go. He was compromising as she put it. "Fine but than your mine and no one else," he said giving her a playful push. "Keep that in mind," He than pulled back giving her more room.

"Oh trust me, laddie love," Ryl crooned, twining around Rai in a very feline-like fashion with an equally feline-like promise of mischief gleaming in her eyes, "you have no idea just how possessive I can be in return." She pulled back, smirking a little.
It was another trait she shared with her father, possessiveness, but she happened to show it differently. As far as she knew her father had never met anyone to break him of his mutterings of "troublesome" enough to get him to physically display how much his companions meant to him, but she knew the few friends he did have he treasured dearly.
It seemed like Rai wore his heart a bit more openly on his sleeves, and this just made her feel even more mischievous. Not malicious, oh certainly not! She'd never abuse her power over another. But teasing was certainly going to ensue at some point, and with frequency enough that she hoped Rai had a sense of humor.

Rai arched an eyebrow at her watching as she moved like a cat around him "You possessive huh? Is that so? Might add teasingly playful to that as well," He told her noticing the gleam in her eyes.
He knew possessiveness when he seen it. His family was very possessive but it was still fun to tease and ask. Though he really did kind of want to see this possessive side of her.
She was going to be a puzzle box and he hoped he could figure her out.

Ryl chuckled throatily. "Well compared to the enigma that is my father, I'm kinda an open book," she said. "It's kinda funny, actually. Most people you can't figure hide behind masks of mystery, power, or grandeur. Dad's mask is laziness." She gave Rai a half-smile. "You'll see, since I'll eventually have to introduce you to him anyway."
Certainly no one guessed what a strong warrior and sharp mind her father was behind his constant mumblings of "troublesome". The vixen he was dating certainly had been fooled in the beginning. She'd never met his girlfriend yet, though he hinted he wanted to set something of the sort up. It must be at least a semi-serious relationship if he was going to all the trouble to make sure they got along before commiting to anything...
That thought brought her up to another. "So, when do I get to meet your family," she asked.

"I'll make you even more of an open book," He teased her with a wink. Why did he do this?Just because it was fun and he seriously doubted she would be offended. No the more likely cause was that she would tease him back which he was perfectly ok with that.
Rai smiled at her "Yes I would like to meet your father. Maybe you can point out some habits of his" he paused "You want to meet my family huh? Well its completely up to you but I was thinking some time after the second date."

Ryl chuckled and slowly began walking towards their previous destination. After all the night was still young, they could cover a bit more ground before having to sleep. "I wouldn't say you'd make me more of an open book. I'm letting you read the book and providing useful subtext to help you understand the whole of its contents." She grinned and winked at her new boyfriend.
"As for Dad, I think it would be a lot more amusing to send you in blind and see what you make of him on your own," she said, the grin widening slightly.
