"The only thing that bothers me, its that there is 68% change that if that marine awakens, he'll try to kill you. It doesn't mean that you safed someones life, that he would do the same to you." Jason said. He could try to change his ability's, but he was to lazy to try it. So he just walked to the other side of the room. "I'm not a friend of the marine, why bothering saving him..." He said as he looked out of the window and saw the ship leaving. "I'm a musician, I don't do medications..."

Jason made a soft laugh and then came closer to the marine and the girl. He layed his hat on the table. "Telling someone you don't know that he's weak is the stupiest thing you can do. And by the way, your taking to long. the man his inner organs are shatterd because of the pressure of the swamp." He said, he then came closer to the man and layed his hand on his body. A black fire appeared and started to heal the insides of the man. After a few seconds Jason stopped and walked back to the door. "Now, fix him up if you want, but don't blame me if he kills you." He wanted to walk out again but then turned around. "Your the one talking about weakness... You can't even protect one marine and your friend."

(ooc: is it oke if I say that I drained the energie from a guy who had these powers. I won't do it again tough, its just to get in. And the power is disappearing thats why I only could heal his organs a little)

xxxxFor a while, Winter paused in her healing. She knew she had to go after Jake, but she was going to save this man first. Cody was already performing the first step in Jake's rescue; he'd be back any moment with the marine's bearings. Winter nodded, as if telling herself she was doing the right thing.
xxxxWinter started to clean the marine, cleaning the swamp from the wounds. She injected him with a sedative, then started to put the green salve on all of his minor cuts and scratches, knowing it'd be disinfected. After that, Winter frowned and took a small toothy saw from her bag. She'd never amputated anything before, but she knew the proceedure. Circulation was already cut off from the knees down, and the sedative would keep the marine from waking up during surgery. Winter took a deep breath, put the saw to his knee, and started to work.

xxxxWinter finished by applying more of the green salve and bandages over his legs. She put her bag back together and sat him up on the table, then swapped out sheets with a fresh pair she found in the closet. She put the marine back in bed, covered him up and put her bag over her shoulder. Walking out into the living room, she called, "Ruby! I'm going out! If the marine wakes up give him some food and water for me. If he doesn't feel well, I left a few tablets on the table; make him take those with water." Winter paused, "I'm going to go get Jake."

xxxxWinter blushed when Ruby told her to give Jake a kiss- she couldn't be serious, could she?- and slipped Bizarre over her shoulder so it was hanging off her back. The minute she stepped outside, Cody was at her side, flapping and cawing in a panic. "What's wrong," Winter asked, forgetting she was talking to an animal. Cody simply pulled a lock of her hair and flew off through the woods. Winter didn't hesitate to follow, biting her lip worriedly. Winter zigzagged through the woods, jumping over logs and rocks, trying not to fall. The last rays of the sun were sinking below the horizon, and several differently colored lights bobbed around her, twisting in and out of her sights. Cody flew before her, sqwacking for her to pick up the pace. When Winter could run no more, she cried for Cody to stop and leaned against a tree, her hands grasping her knees. She panted, bangs falling in her face. She thought about Jason. Maybe I'm the one who's hard to understand, she thought. After all, I ran away from a good home to be wild and free. I had luxury on a silver platter and I traded it for the life of a pirate. I don't regret it at all, but maybe I'm the one who's not thinking things through clearly.
xxxxCody made a clucking noise from the tree branch above her, and Winter shook the thoughts from her mind. Doesn't matter- I got Jake into this mess, and I'll be the one to get him out. Giving a determined nod, Winter looked to Cody, "Here's the plan..."

xxxxOf all the things the marines were looking out for, a hawk circling the deck wasn't their main concern. Cody picked his target well; a twig-thin man in full uniform playing cards on deck. Asides from the uniform, a ring of keys was hooked to his pocket. The hawk dropped to a nose-dive, sqwaking loudly. The man turned around just in time to see his hat get snatched and the hawk fly off into the dark half-light of the woods. "My hat!" he yelled, running off deck. Another marine ran to the railing, shouting after him, "Oi! Johnson! Cap'in says to set sail soon! You'd better get back here, or else...!"
xxxxJohnson followed Cody into the woods. A red orb passed, and the marine could quite clearly see Cody perched upon a branch high above his head, the hat in his beak. A branch snapped to the left of him, and the last thing he heard was a feeble female voice whispering, "Sorry."

xxxx"How do I look, Cody?" Winter asked, twirling in her new outfit. She was wearing a standard, male marine uniform. Her hair was tucked up in the hat and what little chest she had was held back with some spare bandages she had in her bag. Regardless of her valiant rescue plan, Cody was narrowing his eyes at her. "Oh, cool off, bird-brain. It was only a sedative, he'll wake up in around two or three hours. Better yet, Winter dangled the key ring in front of Cody, "I got the keys! Rescuing Jake will be a snap, now! As for you, that's all I need. Go back to Ruby, okay? I'll be fine." Winter walked off towards the ship, making sure she walked surely and proudly; her immitation of a man's gait. Cody, had he been human, would've heaved a sigh. The bird was much wiser than one would think, and he could see that, quite obviously, something was due to go wrong. Still, he headed back to Ruby's, confident that Winter would (at the very least) get to Jake, and (at the moment) Cody could trust Winter to the pirate.
