"Well that's good," she said with a nod as she pulled her drink closer, glad the waitress had brought it several minute before. Mmm, soda.. Still, she couldn't help but wonder who those people were. Old ex-friends? Maybe the woman was an ex-girlfriend or something. The thought of a bad marriage didn't even cross her mind as one of the possibilities.

"Neither of them really like to talk about themselves, I don't think," except Luke didn't mind but that was a different situation entirely, "but I do know Aulus likes pokemon a lot, and karate. He has a motorcycle too," which was a hell of a lot of fun, "but that was in the, uh, other location last I knew, so I'm not sure what happened to it." Actually, now that she thought about it, Aulus was probably a lot more forthcoming with personal information than Lucas was - almost everything she knew about Lucas she learned from Luke. "Lucas is.. a little more difficult, I think." And that was putting it mildly.

Alba nodded, stirring his coffee idly. "More than I know, I'm sure. I helped him clean that room some when I first moved in, so most I can say is that he's messy." And that Lucas owned guns, but that probably wasn't suitable conversation for this place. "Oh, that looks great. Thanks." That part was said in response to their meals arriving. He'd managed to relax a little more by now, and was starting to realize just how hungry he had really been.

She accepted her plate with a quiet "thank you" before shifting its contents about a bit with her fork. "Yeah, I'm not surprised." Thinking back on the multiple times she'd been in their room, it seemed.. rather messy. And full of papers. Not really that surprising, considering the circumstances. "He's a really great guy too, really sweet. He's too distant though," said while her brows furrowed thoughtfully before taking a bite of her food. Mmmm, she loved Italian food.. Oh, distant, right. She still needed to work on that, but maybe him admitting that she was like family - eeee! - was good progress? More than before, at any rate, so it had to be. Now if she could only get him to open up more... Baby steps though, baby steps.

"Heh, no comment." He twisted the noodles around his fork with the help of his spoon, being careful to not gather too much. Somewhere behind him, someone else entered the restaurant. "He'll open up eventually, I'm sure. I guess we all start getting skeletons in our closets at some point," he said after chewing and swallowing. This really was good! He could almost completely forget earlier. Happy with that realization, he went to tear off a piece of the garlic bread that had come with the meal.

"Skeletons in closets, hmm?" commented a silky smooth voice from next to his shoulder. A well manicured hand pulled the bread from the hand Alba had raised halfway to his mouth. "Well, you would know all about that, now, wouldn't you, Taylor? Oh, this bread is delightful. Budge over, dear, my feet are killing me."

Alba, meanwhile, had paled again and stopped breathing at the sound of that voice. No. NononononoNO! His eyes slipped closed for a second as he complied, and the woman in the red sundress from before sat on the edge of the booth seat. She removed her oversized sunglasses with a smile that might've been considered gorgeous, if Alba wasn't busy feeling nauseous. The Skitty was no where in sight. In a carefully controlled voice of his own, as though meeting with a disliked but necessary business partner, Alba answered, "Hello, Sam."

"We do," she agreed in neutral tones, with the only indication of any sort of emotion being the slight narrowing of her eyes. Taylor? Well, she had fake names too, so she shouldn't be too surprised. At least this infamous woman had a name now, though was curiously Skitty-less. She watched for a moment, dipping a small piece of her own garlic bread into a bit of sauce before popping it into her mouth, chewing slowly while she studied this woman for a few moments. No, she didn't like her. Reminded her too much of her sister. "It's rude to interrupt, you know," she said in a matter-of-fact tone, pointing her fork at her to emphasize the point before cutting off a chunk of her chicken, though didn't lift it yet, and she paused for a moment before adding, "something we can help you with?" Despite her polite choice of words, her expression and tone indicated she had neither the desire nor inclination to do anything remotely helpful for this woman besides kick her out of the booth herself.

"Is it such a crime to want to say hello to my favorite hubby?"

Alba almost choked on air, but at least he returned somewhat to his senses. "Favorite-? Was there any time in that entire-" he struggled to find the word, "charade where you weren't running off with someone else behind my back?"

"You always did take things too personally, Tayl-" Sam had reached for another piece of bread, but was halted when one of Alba's hands bolted out and grabbed her exposed left wrist. The diamond on her ring finger was much more high-end than he could have ever afforded.

"Are congratulations in order, Mrs. Thompson?" he asked calmly, his voice low. Sam stared at him, cool and even, but Alba was barely holding in the hurt rage that had come over him. "Samuela Thompson, huh? I'm sure there's another disease I can relate that too. You're both con artists, and you deserve each other."

Oh, dear, skeletons indeed. Claire's eyebrows raised just a fraction, but it had been obvious from the start that they were related somehow, but marriage? Well, she shouldn't be surprised, anyway - not every older guy was like Lucas and never married ever. But still - ex-wife, eww. Clearly she needed to leave immediately.

A spoon suddenly clanked against the table directly in front of the older woman, and Claire held it there for a moment, pointing at her. She would've used her fork, but she didn't want it to get dirty. She was still using it, after all. "And you were leaving - when? Now? Sounds like a brilliant idea. You should get right on that," she suggested, brows raised while her eyes were half-lidded. She looked neither impressed nor pleased, and her tone clearly said what her words did not: Leave before I make you.

Sam and Alba alike jolted at the noise of the spoon, and looked to Claire as though they had completely forgotten her. Well, Sam had, Alba had been trying to block that fact until after he could get rid of the vulture. He gave her wrist a push away from him, which she massaged as she turned to Claire.

"I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your-"

Alba inhaled deeply. Arceus, give him strength. "Don't even start, Sam. You don't need to know her name, and you can forget mine."

"Oh, Taylor, really, you used to be such a gentleman." Oh, gods, no, she was loosely holding his arm and putting on the innocent act now. "What would the girls think?" Alba's mind visibly clicked off for several beats, and he looked as though he had just been physically slapped.

'The girls'? What did that...? Did Alba have kids? What was-- No, nevermind. She could ask later. Right now, they needed to get rid of this aggravating woman before Alba passed out or something. With a sigh of resignation she ignored the question and put down the spoon, reaching down to her waist instead. She unclipped a ball and rested her elbow on the table, curving her hand back as she pushed the release button, and the flash of white light that followed left in its wake a rather chubby, slightly shorter than average Pikachu. "Zeus," she said, still speaking in neutral tones, "please show our guest," oh so much sarcasm, "where the door is."

"Chu," he grunted in response. Hopefully he'd get chocolate for this... Oh well, this lady human looked funny and it would be tons of fun to get rid of her, so that alone would be worth it. Not that he'd admit it, of course. So, he briefly adopted a pose with both chubby fists up - showing off his 'muscles' but in reality preparing himself to use the move Strength. That done, he hopped over to the female human in the red dress before grabbing one leg with both paws, then used all his might in an attempt to yank her from the booth and fling her onto the restaurant floor. Hopefully she crashed into something. While Claire shared this hope, her face remained displeased at best.

Sam laughed cheerily at Zeus. "Really? A little mouse is going to escort me? Cute. Taylor, your friend is absolutely hilari- AHH!" Alba blinked at his now freed arm. What just happened?

"OH! You- YOU!" Though she didn't hit anything, Sam was outraged! And everyone was looking! Grabbing her dropped purse, she pulled out a Pokeball and enlarged it. "Skitty!" The evil furball from before appeared a her feet as she crawled away a very short distance. "Skitty! Use-!"

"Hold it!" Human and Skitty alike stopped at the distraction. Alba slipped out of the booth to stand beside it. "Sam... just leave." He hoped that would be enough, even though he knew it wouldn't be. So when Sam looked ready to retaliate, he unclipped a lone Pokeball from the left of his own belt and held it.

The desired effect was instantaneous. "You- you have a Pokemon?!" Sam's face could have been compared with a child being told that Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the Toothfairy were all fake all at once. This just couldn't be! "You never kept Pokemon!"

Alba sighed and shook his head sadly. "Things change, Sam. You would know all about that." He bit his bottom lip. "You should really be going. Now."

Claire's neutral expression finally faltered at the sight of Alba and his pokeball, and she smirked at Sam while gesturing a shooing motion with her free hand. "Better hurry. If you liked what Zeus did, I'll bet you can't wait until his knocks you clear across the restaurant." She knew full well neither Spook nor his Pidgey - was it still a Pidgey? It'd been a while since she gave it to him, after all - couldn't do any such thing, but that didn't mean this woman knew.

As if to emphasize this point - or maybe because the appearance of the Skitty was unwanted (which it was) - Zeus growled threateningly at both cat and owner, electricity sparking and crackling at his cheeks as he slammed one chubby fist into his open hand paw. It was clear he was more than ready for round two to start.

"He wouldn't dare," Sam all but hissed.

Alba lightly tossed the Pokeball in one hand a few times. "See... that's the thing, Sam. There was a time when I'd agree. But, then again..." he crouched so that he'd be closer to her eye level, "does anyone really know just what I'm capable of?" His face took on an almost comical look, like he'd just realized something amazing. "Or, oh! Maybe there's something you'd like to admit on that matter? Everyone loves a good secret, you know."

The ex-couple fell into a staring/glaring contest, but it was short lived. "...Skitty, return." Sam pulled her legs closer on the floor as the Skitty disappeared with a confused cry. Without being asked, Alba reached out and held an arm to steady her as she stood, though she jerked the arm away as soon as she was up. Her hateful glare swore retribution. Alba's calm stare said he didn't care. He just felt numb.

Without another word, a spot on Alba's existence walked out of the door, and disappeared into the crowds.

As the irritating woman left the restaurant - finally - Claire couldn't help but chuckle as Zeus hopped up next to her on the bench. "Good job Zeus," she said, offering him a small piece of her garlic bread. "And that was a good bluff," though she partially wished he'd sit before he passed out or something on the floor. "So tell me," she grinned, giggling, "were you going to have Spook pop up behind her and scare her to death?"

The Pikachu stared at the bread in his paws extremely skeptically. This was most definitely not chocolate. Still, it was food and he did like food, so with a small shrug he stuffed the treat into his mouth while Claire started on hers again. Damned if she'd let it get cold because of that woman.

Alba let out the breath he'd been holding in, and glanced around. "Uh... heh heh... Sorry, everyone. Sorry. Enjoy your lunches!" He plopped down on his bench and offered an embarrassed grin. "Well, it worked, didn't it?" Claire had guessed correctly, too. The next moment, Spook was standing on the table next to Alba's bowl of pasta.

"Ing?"

"Eat up, Spook. Just don't make a mess of it." While the Chingling gave a cheerful chime, and started trying to figure out how to combat the elusive noodles with a fork, Alba grabbed a slice of bread and disappeared behind the table. He needed to lay down for a moment, and so he did just that by stretching out on his back on the bench. "I know I'm saying this a lot today, but, thank you. Again."

She couldn't help but chuckle again and nodded. "It did. ...here, Spook." She reached across the table and took the fork, using it to move a portion of the noodles onto a separate plate instead of a bowl. Maybe that would be easier. "You're welcome," she said to Alba after relaxing against the back of the bench. "Besides, she's almost as aggravating as my sister. Almost."

Zeus stared across the table at Spook, envious the chime pokemon got so much food and he didn't. ...nevermind he'd prefer chocolate over anything else, but he was still hungry. He turned to Claire with what he hoped was a pitifully hungry face before opening his mouth and pointing at it. With a roll of her eyes and a small sigh, she handed him another chunk of bread.
