I know I can go great things... "it would probably be easier to simply tie a flat stone or jagged one onto a thick broken branch to use as a dagger, then you can simply sharpen it against any rock..." "sing? clear my mind? those are things I cannot do... I can never afford to 'clear' my mind... besides... singing creates string on ones lungs, that's something I'd prefer not to have happen..." Melina Amista 9th Espada Lucas Ortega's Fraccion
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   So small... The girl couldn't decide if she liked him patting her head... nobody had done that before. Then she pointed towards the trees and said "We need shelter first, along with some food and water." She got down on her hands and knees and started looking for a sharp object. Upon finding one she squealed happily and skipped to the edge of the forrest
to find a long stick and some vine.
"I'll make a fishing rod you should find some wood and work on a shelter." the girl wondered if he would take being bossed around by a little girl very well...eh to late she thought. She started hacking at one end of her stick so it was somewhat pointy and tied the vine to the other end. The girl then set down the stick picked up the other end of the vine. Lifting her pointy object close to her face she smiled. "I can bend that!"
She stuck out one of her feet and put the middle of her sharp object on her toe. Then grabbing both side with her hands she pulled shaping it into a semi hook like shape then lifted it to her mouth to bend a little bit of it in the opposite direction so it wouldn't come out easily. The girl then tied the vine around it. Lifting her creation she laughed triumphantly, then cast her vine and sat quietly waiting for a bite. Yet so strong...

He watched as Dona tried to get the fire started and her suggestion to get aquainted with one another. Neku nodded at Mel and watched her run off as she gathered some stuff. He stood there and watched Mel attempt to create a fishing rod. Few minutes later, she was done and she had created a fishing rod. But was it any good ? He thought to himself "She...Made a fishing rod..." He sighed "It's a good thing I ended up with her...I guess I should be heading into the forest to find some wood to create a shelter...What a drag...".
Neku stretched his arms and legs and then unbuttoned his coat that he wore under his Captain's coat [As seen on the picture] His coat began to sway backwards as the wind blew. His chest and stomach could be seen; his body was fairly built and well shaped. Neku then headed towards the forest.
As he entered the forest, Neku began to look around "Wood...Wood...Ah found some" He found some wood and long branches on the ground and began gathering them but it wasn't enough. He walked out of the forest and placed them on the ground before going back into the forest to get some more.
Ten minutes had past and Neku walked out of the forest once more but this time he had two piles of wood which he carried under his arms. This time he brought vines to help make the shelters "This...Should be enough" He placed them down next to the other pile he had brought earlier and sighed "Now for the difficult part..." .
Neku grabbed some wood and piled them flat next to each other and then got some long branches and placed them across on top of the wood. He grabbed some vines and used them to tie the wood and branches together. When he was done, he made a board or wood and branches tied together by vines "One down...Seven to go..." Neku sighed and continued working, repeating the same process...
Once he was finished, he gathered the wood boards and placed them together in one pile. He grabbed one of the boards and stuck it in the ground horizontally so that it would act as a wall. Neku then grabbed another one and stuck it into the ground about 60-75cm away from the other one. Slowly, a small shelter began to form "Nearly there..." He grabbed another board and stuck it down in one of the ends and then placed a board on top of the three boards which were stuck down into the ground. Neku grabbed some vines and tied each corners together so that the boards wouldn't move about a lot and stay together "That's one done" He left one of the sides open so that someone could crawl into the shelter.
Neku wiped his forehead with the back of his hand and continued working to create another shelter as the sun shone down on him. After a while he finished creating another shelter "Finally! But it's missing something..." Neku headed back into the forest and gathered some giant leaves. He then returned and placed them inside of the shelters on the ground so that they could lay down on top of them "There we go".
Neku let a long sigh and walked over the water. He took his coat off and threw it on the ground, revealing his body. He then sat down and slashed some water on his face. Neku then fell backwards and spread his arms and legs and faced the sky "Any luck Mel ? And I'm done with the shelter...Hope you like it" He closed his eyes and waited for her reply.

As the wood finally caught fire, he moved the fish into position so they would begin to cook. Hopefully the smell of the fish wouldn't attract unwanted attention.  "If data is your life, then knowledge on any particular subject must be as well, am I correct?" She asked, truely curious no matter how much Soren seemed to hate anything about herself. "As for singing, well, it helps me concentrate." She sighed to herself before looking up to Soren. "We may not see eye-to-eye, but the least we both could do is try to put up with one another. In the long run, shooting down the ways and habits of others will just make you more enemies in the long run."

Lucas Ortega

The 9th Espada   Lucas grunted with boredom, he had long finished the shelter, gathered fruit from the trees and had managed to make a small dagger out of the flint he had found on the beach. The Shinigami he was stuck with seemed to have vanished... No matter more food for him.
Just as Lucas was about to take a bite from one of the gathered fruits, when he heared voices, maybe a sign he was going crazy? Lucas listened again, there was definitly two voices, a man and a familliar sounding woman. Lucas crossed to where the voices were coming from, pushing seeral lush green bushes out of the way. It was dificult to see but one of them was a shingami, the other was obscured by by another tree.
What intrested Lucas more was the fact that they had fire and were cooking fish. Lucas grippped his knife tighter and crouched low, it was unlikly they would want to share, so he may have to take it by force, keeping low Lucas started to creep up on the two figure crouching by the fire...  Even perfection has it's flaws...

During the time it took Neku to make some shelters the girl had successfully caught 3 decently sized fish, then snapped their necks so they would stop trying to escape and set them beside her. For a girl her age she was surprisingly patient. Then she looked to Neku as he fell back onto the sand and asked politely "Any chance while you were looking for wood you saw some bamboo or a decent sized rock with a flat side? We cant drink the ocean and we could use the bamboo to get some water from the trees, the rock would be used almost like a skillet."
The set down the fishing rod and went to grab one of those big leaves, then drug it back and set the fish on top of it. She then started looking for another sharp object to clean and gut them with. When she found one she smiled and drug the leaf with the fish down the beach so any predators that may live in the forrest would come there instead of their little camp. The girl sat down, let her black eye come into focus, and cut them open savagely. She finished cleaning them quickly then went to the ocean to wash the blood off her sharp object, then tucked it into her skirt pocket, just in case.
She them pulled the clean fish back to camp and decided Neku looked rather tiered laying there on the sand so the girl set herself about finding a good cooking rock. "Rest up a bit Neku fishing doesn't take much!" She called while she looked. Unable to find one on the beach its self the girl moved to the forest's edge to continue her little search. Yet so strong... ((Lucas you used the thingy! biggrin but you left the quote at the end lol))
