The Galactic commander's brow furrowed when Nyx continued to press the point, and she drew the arm off which Deimos hung like a rather neurotic handbag closer to her body, expression set.
Her straight-ahead stare bored into the darkness, but at the sign of tears it faltered, focused, and she pressed her lips together with a look at the pink-haired man that was the closest to a human expression she'd come so far.
"Do it." The words snapped across Faleen's recitation and black eyes snapped to Nyx. There was something determined and defiant there before her voice spoke, quiet and matter of fact. "If it harms him, you will die."

It did something, but not what Faleen had wanted.
She stopped speaking and let out a sharp sigh thought her nose.
The numbers continued.
The Galactic women had spoken again, looking over to them... and she actually gave Nyx permission to give him some sedative, on thank goodness.

Deimos seemed at least marginally aware of what was going on because his attention shifted to Nyx. In particular he was looking at the needle with apprehension. "Nine seven five nine eight.."

"Mhm." She grunted dismissively; Tethys wasn't scary, Nyx dealt with Seth almost daily, and Miss Nadja was much more intimidating. Threats or no, Nyx was glad to be able to be given the opportunity to quiet the incessant noise the pink-haired man was making; She went to it, stepping over and rolling up his sleeve to get at his arm.
There was a pause in the needle-action as she took a moment to measure out a small amount of sedative--enough to placate, but not knock out. "... Nine four eight."

Deimos flinched as Nyx rolled up his sleeve, revealing a scrawny arm. He didn't make any motion to stop her, which was a plus. If Tethys was okay with this it seemed to be good enough for him.

No protesting or yanking? Good. Nyx didn't dawdle about administering the sedative. She found a vein--not hard on someone so skinny and pale--stuck the needle in, pressed the plunger, and pulled the needle out. Quick, simple, painless. At least for her. She didn't really care if the needle hurt him, as long as the sedative took effect and made him quieter.
"There."

Deimos winced as the needle jabbed into his arm. He remained latched onto Tethys, still reciting numbers. Moments passed, and gradually the numbers started to slow... then quiet.... then stop. He relaxed his grip on his second in command slightly and blinked. Brow furrowing, he looked at Nyx. ".....nine four eight?" He asked, repeating the numbers she'd said to him.

Tethys followed Nyx's movements, scrutinizing the whole process with the attention to detail worthy of a safety inspector in a phosgene plant.

Faleen remained at the distance she was at, standing with the Pokemon while Nyx went over and gave the Galactic leader a small dose of sedative. Eyebrows arching a little to see that it actually worked.

"Pi. You missed the four." Nyx said absently as she packed her things back into the small case to be returned to her pocket. Thank Arceus it seemed to have worked. With the noise gone, she could finally concentrate on the situation at hand.
"Doppler, go on ahead, scout." She told the tiny Zubat who had perched on her shoulder. The bat squeaked and took off into the darkness, chittering all the way. Nyx followed, walking at a casual pace beside Faleen.

Deimos blinked, "....nine four eight...." His brow furrowed and he mumbled quietly, "..she's right." He looked at his arm, where the sedative had been administered, then back at Nyx's retreating form. A faint shade of pink; hardly noticeable, colored his cheeks.

Now that things had calmed down, Faleen met Nyx's gaze when she walked back over, then looked upward to the floating bags.
"Banette, give those to me and continue the scout"
It would be no good having a pokemon that was supposed to be invisible easily spotted becasue of something he was carrying.
The Ghost drifted back down and handed the bag to Faleen, completely concealing his location.
Of course Nyx was right, she's a genius
With a much more appreciated silence, Faleen continuing forward through the cave, waiting only for Nyx.

How boring. Orion was completely unimpressed with the whole incident with the boss and Tethys' who he was latched to like a lifeline. The green haired Galactic was meandering along at the back of the group, keeping an eye on things as they progressed further into the cavern. His trusty Milotic slithering along next to him.
Although a sly grin reappeared on his face when he saw the faint blush on Deimos' cheeks. He made no comment though, for now. He would find his entertainment elsewhere.
Thus, in the next instant, he popped up behind Claire. "So! How about them Electabuzz?" he chirped cheerfully, as if they had been best buddies since childhood and actually liked the sucky baseball team.

Aulus had been walking silently along beside Claire, watching the antics of the purple-haired poof with deep scepticism. That was Deimos, the guy who had apparently caused so much trouble. He'd seen more outwardly dangerous sponges, but he knew very well that judging by appearances often ended up with the cocky young blackbelt upside-down against a wall after snickering at the short wiry third dan who happened not to be wearing his rank openly; he didn't plan to repeat such an embarrassing mistake. Besides, the woman with Deimos seemed like serious business, and as for the green haired fellow... As if summoned by his thoughts, Orion appeared the other side of Claire with a grin Aulus liked not at all.
"Who's this punk when he's at home?" the red-eyed man asked of Claire, looking Orion up and down disdainfully. "And what makes him think you want to talk to him about sports? A bit touched in the head, is he?"

To say she wasn't startled by the sudden appearance of a guy - much less a Galactic one - at her side would've been a blatant lie, and almost bumped into Aulus in her surprise. "I don't know," she replied as she leveled Orion with a clearly displeased scowl. "I hate sports." And with that, she moved to Aulus' other side and continued along the wall to try and find some way out as quickly as possible. The last thing she wanted was to be recognized - even though she didn't even know who this obnoxious green-haired guy was - so finding a way out right now would be preferable to dealing with any of the Galactics.
Zeus growled at this strange human with even stranger-colored hair, and with minimal effort he hopped onto Claire's arm and clambered up her shoulder again, glaring at the human. His trainer briefly considered letting Odette out, but decided against it for several reasons - one of which she would more than likely (attempt to) maul the strange man and that would end up in a pokemon battle she would surely lose and overall it would be a horrible idea. Arceus, she wanted out.
