Samhain stepped forward a little bit to translate Sor’s last message before she left the area completely. “He says he’s happy to do so until he runs out of spirit energy” she nodded and then began slipping away again. Seeing a splotch of red she figured it was her father in law returning and waved on principle even if he didn’t see it. “so where are we ninja’ing it off too” she laughed.

“No where in particular. I just wanted to steal you away and have you to myself for a bit. I figure even if Sor stops playing with Yavie, she’s hit her hyper streak and will be entertained for a while. My father will keep an eye on her from out of her sight so we needn’t worry about her.” Itov licked Samhain’s cheek. “So now that you’ve met two members of my family what do you think?”

“Well Sor has a lot of spirit energy so he should be able to play for a while” Samhain mused with a light smile. “I guess its sort of a trade off for having so many problems alive; ah your family is really nice. It’s sort of how I figure how a real family should ac… gah no licking” this was queue for a paw in face. Even though she was also extremely red. “a-an-anyways it seems like a really nice family”

“Mmhmm.” Itov wasn’t really worried about Sor. Still he did feel bad to hear about Sor having problems in life so young. “My family is full of psychopaths, manipulators, hyperactive spazzes, clueless lost souls, cynical, and an occasional murder. Still we manage to get by well enough. In fact I think our family does better than most other families about.” Itov wagged his tail. “Oh no licking? Why not?” He put his face close to hers but didn’t lick it again. Yet.
(He's just happy that Samhain thought his family was nice *eye roll* push-over.)

“Hmm but that can be said about any family… sort of” Samhain pointed out. Okay maybe not the full of psychopaths part but everything else held pretty true she thought. Samhain did admit she wasn’t the best with family. However if they all stuck up for each other that was what mattered right? “Well no licking because…. Well no licking” she blushed and moved her head forward to bump his forehead with her own. She didn’t have to point out it caused her to blush too heavily and felt weird.

Itov nodded forcing his head to pust Samhain’s back slightly. “That’s very true… now no licking because isn’t really an answer. Are you going to turn into a zombie again if I lick you?” Itov stuck out his tongue at Samhain. The last time she had pretending to be a zombie guarding her candy she had gnawed on his leg. Itov had to admit the playful fun side of his mate was fascinating and wonderful to experience. Still some playfulness he wanted to hog all to himself, and not even share with his family just how sweet Samhain really was.

“Well hmmm…” Samhain paused and brought a paw up to her mouth, “I’ll melt and turn into a ghost, and then I’ll haunt you” Samhain replied in a professor type of voice. She couldn’t use the zombie after all, zombies where only when you stole her candy. “and be careful where you stick that tongue, it might get bit” this was accompanied with an innocent smile. After all she had been on her bestest bestest behavior for her in laws. One couldn’t stay that way all day right?

“Oh dear what will I do with you as a ghost. I won’t be able to see or hear you. And you’ll only be able to make yourself know when you have energy to use.” Itov replied in an equally droll tone. He could play this game as well as she now that he knew few things about ghosts, thanks to Samhian. “Aww.. you wouldn’t bite me now would you?” Itov put and kept his tongue in his mouth just to be on the safe side of things. She might just bite it to tease him, and he didn’t really feel like ending up with a numb tongue because his mate had nibbled on it..

“Well I heard there are other um… psychic mediums out there you know. Only I’m afraid I am the only one that can hear ghosts.” Samhain mused tilting her head to the side. “Oh yeah I forgot about that I met another fox the other day who could see ghosts, it was interesting. She didn’t seem to have the same luck growing up as I had and was sort of a recluse.” This caused Samhain to nibble on her lip for a while. “But yes, yes I would. No one is safe” she threatened in a teasing tone. “Remember I no longer have to be on my best behavior”

“Who on earth told you that you ever had to be on your best behavior? I’d like to see the fox that could tell you that and have it actually work.” Itov chuckled. “You know don’t even think a tribal elder could keep you in line.” He poked a paw in the air at her and then scooted backwards a little bit. “Come to think of it if rousing up my sister and sending her into a scatterbrained mood was your good behavior exactly was is your bad behavior? Using an army of ghosts to torment your enemies?” It was fun teasing Samhain.

“Eh you should always been on your best behavior when meeting the in laws or at least what my grandmother said when she talked about the whole thing” Samhain found her self musing again. “So I guess my grandmother. She was a really wonderful lady; wish you could have meet her.” Samhain got a really scary look on her face which probably should have warned Itov that he really didn’t want to know the answer “well just hope you never find out” she replied with a sweet smile. “those who do, never return the same” of course this was done with a dramatic flair.

Itov shuddered reflexively. I will never ask her that particular question again. I really don’t want to know the answer. “I am glad your grandmother raised you. She gave you a good set of values. I know my father likes you and Yavie.. well you’ve seen her for yourself. You even mentioning anything fun to her and she’s your best friend for life.. Whether you want it or not. No if only we could find a way to channel that much energy into something constructive.” Itov moved close to Samhain once more. “Any ideas?”

Samhain “I’m kidding I would never unleash that on you” she pointed out. Of course the very hidden underlying tone was other foxes that pissed her off wouldn’t be so lucky. Luckily the world was saved in that it took a lot to set off Samhain. “yep she did, I was a bit of a rebellious kid for a while and she definitely stamped that out… mostly” this was followed with a laugh. “Hmm something creative...? Well you just need to find what you want done and then use ghosts or fortune telling or pixies in your explanation and say it would be for the betterment of their existence. Of course you really need it to be a betterment of something’s existence because to lie in that way would just be mean”

“You know when you come up with plots like that off the top of your head I really doubt much rebelliousness was stamped out.. it was only redirected toward scheming.” Itov rolled his eyes and leaned in closer to his mate. “I know you wouldn’t use it on me, that doesn’t mean the idea of you doing anything to anyone else doesn’t worry me though. After all the work it would take to push you that far.. well let’s just say I doubt even the more sadistic members of my family tree would do such a thing.” He leaned over and licked her and then before she could speak he kissed her fully. “Well now I don’t think you’ll turn into a ghost because I also kissed you. Doesn’t true love’s kiss solve everything?” He grinned like a fool.

“well when I do what I am thinking, the individuals will most definitely deserve my wrath” Samhain stated with a nod. “Hmm I guess it was, but its much more fun to scheme and plot and watch it unfold.” She answered and then turned back and gave him his own version of a kiss. “It doesn’t always you know, but I must admit it is a lovely start. Besides Kisses turn foxes into were creatures not ghosts” she jokingly chided. “Got to keep it straight, kisses are were creatures, licks are melting and ghosts, and taking candy is zombies.” And straight back to the professor voice, maybe she could be a carer one day. However the little ghost minions created from it might not be the best for the world.
