There was no sudden bang or flash of scenery amidst the chaos to reveal that the fog had been growing thicker, wrapping the small clearing around entirely in thick white tendrils. It might have happened five minutes ago, it might have happened hours ago. It might have never happened for those still utterly absorbed in the fight, for getting that pendant.
Nonetheless, with the arrival of the fog came the sense of disorientation: how were squad members supposed to attack each other, if they could not even see their own weapons? They could attempt to flail blindly in the fog... but the pure blind white made everything difficult.
It looks like all the squad members' battles would have to conclude in a stalemate. For now.
((OOC: THE BATTLE HAS BEEN CONCLUDED
CONGRATS PENDANT OWNER, YOU NOW ICLY HAVE THIS PENDANT. - HOWEVER, if anyone attacks you OR in the event your character gets killed, your pendant can and will still get looted from you. Be careful! - In addition, squad members can choose to go into HIDING or return back to their base camps, or even create new threads. By the time they do so they have already wandered out of this "thick fog area", and PVP Is back ON again. - Do not forget to bold exit the thread after this post thank you! ))

How the - ? Oh cripes, the fog again! It had been bad enough when they had tried scouting earlier, but now . . . Hell, he could barely see his own hand in front of his nose!
A hand that somewhat hurt after punching two things - one made of fire and flesh, the other with just as much padding on as he did.
Maybe "Teal Three" didn't get to catch who punched her with this fog? He was pretty sure even Delta Seven wouldn't be able to continue much further in this blinding, thick fog.
Having Delta Five at hand, he tapped her shoulder silently and motioned that he was heading out, then tossed a look about to see if others might have caught his sign - he didn't want to give the teals too much info on where he was going.
With that, D-3 vanished into the fog.

Delta One cursed under her breath. Instead of getting a reply from Delta Three, she watched as he ran off to attack one of the Thetas. She took that as an answer though, and shrugging back her shoulders, began to run towards Theta Thirteen, determined to punch the mask right off of his face! "Eight, we could use your help here!" She called out to the Delta who she'd seen with bandages earlier. He could use them to fix up Delta Seven, whom she'd assumed now was probably hurting a bit from the fight. ((Was going to roll here, but Zoo's post got in first, lol)) As she got closer to the area of the ongoing brawl, she slowed. She was now barely able to see anything! She swore again, much louder this time. She thought she caught a glimpse of green in the fog, and tried to follow it.

Curses! Right as things were starting to heat up more this confounding fog had to roll in and make it so they might as well been standing at the edge of a cliff and no one would have known any better than to not take a step forward. On the plus side, at least their enemies were in the same boat and there wasn't a fire-breathing horse charging around after them.
Giving a bit of a sigh, Delta 5 tucked her dagger into the backpack... trying to keep down the swelling feelings of panic that were threatening to over-whelm her senses. Every so often as she looked around there was a slight bit of green or teal that she could barely make out. Hoping to find some of the team mates she came in with, Delta 5 slowly made her way forward a little when there was a tap on her shoulder. Almost jumping out of her skin, she whirled about to see Delta 3 standing there and motioning to her which way he was headed. Giving a small nod, Delta 5 took one last glance around, looking for anyone else they had come with and hoping that they saw them... not sure how else to get them a message before heading off.

Delta Four scowled as the fog got thicker, and she couldn't do anything about it - she couldn't even find Delta Seven, who she said she got their back.
Well, s**t.
Backtracking, Four moved back towards the tent, or wherever she could find her teammates. This wasn't going well at all...

Theta Three looked at Theta Thirteen as she felt two solid hits land and gave a startled cry. Oh God that hurt! She glared at the Delta's surrounding her then swung around to free herself from the fray. "I suggest you run!" She yelled at Thirteen and then fled unwilling to remain there if Thirteen didn't have some solid plan to get them out alive. They were outnumbered and no doubt others were out there with the same kill or be killed attitude. It seemed if she wanted to survive she would need to have the same mentality. She felt her legs pump under her as she tried to get to safety.

This was just like one of those cutscenes in video games where the good guys took down some bitchy boss man, only to turn on each other three seconds later. Where was the celebration? Where was the oh-my-god-we're-alive? Theta-two very nearly started to curse out the fighting Delta and Theta members, because really, didn't this just entitle dying faster? Didn't anyone here know a thing about self-preservation? Not like she was one to talk, but she did secretly feel herself kindling a bit of pride in her chest when she scuttled away from the two warring groups, maces, daggers, fists, and curses flying all over the place. Hell yeah, she wanted that pendant, but she wasn't about to try and make enemies over some stupid crap like that. Anyways, if everyone killed each other first, there would be more pendants to -- the girl stopped her train of thought there, shame bubbling in her throat at the very idea. [i}Well, she thought with vague sarcasm, at least I still have my morals. As much s**t as they're going to bring me in the end.
Sticking Excalibur - it deserved a ******** name, it was going to save her a** from all the bad guys, after all - back in her knapsack, Theta two watched the fray with heavy eyes, part of her morals tugging her to help, part of them yelling "stay in ******** place!" And she did just that. "Good job, boyo," She said, mostly to herself though, at the pendant owner. She just prayed that Theta-five would stay alive long enough to put that damn pendant to good use, since no one else had it. She didn't even know the whatever-he's-a-guy-now gas mask clone, but she sure as hell felt a swelter of pride that one of the group she was from had gotten the one-way-ticket-to-living rather than those shameless asshats from Delta.
Continuing to back up, the girl didn't even notice the way the fog surrounded her until her feet stumbled and she fell straight over onto her a**. "Damn it!" She screamed when her rump proceeded to protest, her head throbbing yet again. "********, ******** fog, god damn bitching whores," She was cut off by the layers of white that now coated her again, that made the world seem miles and miles away, hidden behind layers of ominous mist. "Oh, you've got to be <********> kidding me," She snapped, shifting to her feet and dusting herself off. Turning around in a full circle, a shift of panic curling in her gut, Theta-two scowled.
"Hello?"
The fog stared back at her. No figures emerged. No Delta's, no Theta's. Nothing.
She was alone in the fog. Again.

[[ Delta 7 uses First Aid Kit. One use left. ]]
And then it was all over. The fog set in heavier than before and the teal brat with the pendant was free to make his escape. Hopefully his bodyguards followed. Delta Seven trusted in the fog to hide him so that he had time to flop down on the ground and dig through his bag for the First Aid Kit.
That had just been a spectacularly bad idea. No pendant. A target on his back as someone likely to kill them all, and nothing to even show for it. It hadn't escaped his notice that several members of Delta Squad had simply left without entering battle either way, and at least one who did pitch in was eyeing him off like she wouldn't have minded coming after him next.
"Bloody hell," he muttered as he disinfected his wounds. He kept an ear out for the sound of people approaching while he used up half his bandages on cuts from the Thetas and burns from the stupid horse's miasma.
It was probably time to lay low for a while. Or at least that was the plan (after finding his teammates again ) until his cell phone went off.
Putting the first aid kit back in his bag, Delta Seven then plucked his phone off his belt. His eyebrows raised at the message. "Huh," was all he had to say. This could be good, or quite bad.
"Sorry guys, looks like I have to leave you for a while," he said to the absent Four, Six and Twelve. They couldn't hear him, but hopefully when they checked their phones, they'd know why he wasn't with them.
D7 steeled himself, then pressed a button on his cell phone. He disappeared from the area.

Delta 8 had been busy, watching the end of the boss fight and then the others attacking the one with the pendant. Oh, he knew it would be good to have the pendant, it would insure he remained alive (provided he kept it till the end of things). But what was to say if he gained it now he'd continue on living, till the end?
No, he could try and gain a different one or steal that one later on (should something...bad happen to it's carrier). Perhaps those weren't such good though, but he wanted to live and get off this island. Not to mention he wanted to remember what he knew was important, like everything!
Hearing someone call him he turned to Delta 1. "It seems Delta 7 is handling himself. I would like to keep the bandages I have until personal supplies are run out." Rather than always be called on.
"We should be moving." Heading toward Delta 1. "Lead the way, to somewhere."

D6 stood on guard after her attack, waiting for retaliation from one of the Thetas, but suddenly the fog thickened and she could no longer see her own weapon in her hand, much less the enemies, or any of her teammates. Her eyes searched frantically, looking for any sort of shape in the mist, but even sound was muffled in the fog. Holding her hand up to her face, she noticed that she had begun to tremble-- since when?-- and her small dagger was now stained with a disconcerting amount of blood. A wave of nausea rose up her throat. She fell to her knees, still lost in the eerily thick fog, and very nearly emptied the contents of her stomach onto the ground.
She remained there for what seemed like hours, crouched low with her head bent down, focusing on nothing but the act of breathing. I'm not ready to kill someone. Her own actions had surprised her; she never thought she would attack another human being (assuming they were all humans under the suits) so readily, and yet she had.
When she looked up, the fog had shifted. It was easier to see, yet clumps of mist still drifted through the air, and through it, she noticed that there was no one else in sight. And the terrain seemed entirely different from before.

As quick as he had joined the fight, the skittish dissipated into nothing as the pendant owner—and his comrades—escaped into the thick mist. Twelve stopped in his tracks, dagger still by his side. Curiously, he looked back at the weapon in his hand. Oddly enough, he was neither disgusted nor terrified at the sight of the metal blade dripping red blood. This concerned Twelve. Shouldn’t he be gagging at the realization that he went at someone with the intent to kill?
Before he could delve deeper, the cellphone at his side softly rung. He flipped it open and read the message. Twelve attempted not to worry over Delta Seven’s safety. He’ll be fine. He reassured himself, repeatedly mumbling the phrase to himself as he mindlessly trekked back into the fog, never looking back and never bothering to search out for the rest of his group.

What a waste of time... Theta 8 grumbled to himself, rolling his eyes at the sight of all the scrambling individuals over one measly pendant. "Better luck next time, guys~" he called out sarcastically, shaking his head with a 'tch'. What ever. The d--- battle was over. That was one monster they could cross off their list. Inspecting the stake in his hands, he noticed the disgusting guys and goo from the creature had caked and stained into the wood. Well maybe it'd come in handy, and poison the next thing he had to stab to death...
As his gaze rose to his surroundings, he saw that most were leaving with little groups. Friends already, huh? Well f. Looks like he was going to be the odd one out; ignored and avoided like some sort of deranged or dead animal. Screw `um. Who needs allies anyway.. bunch of pricks... Indeed, T-8 was a spiteful man, full of loathing and despise. With the last of the folks evacuating, he took his turn to walk into the heavy fog, blinding following where ever it might take him.

D-2 unsure of everything that went down; He was glad to of got an attack in, but still with so many people around it was kind of pointless. Hopefully numbers would start dewndling....and hopefully he wouldn't be in those numbers.

He was watching, lurking, or at least he had been until... Jesus christ, where the ******** was the fog coming from? His eyes narrowed, peering through the fog in an attempt to see what was around him, an effort made in vain.
Damn it, in the fog he had lost sight of everything and everyone, and more importantly he had lost sight of the pendant. Cursing under his breath, his weapon held in one hand, Theta four was forced to leave it for now. But he'd remember...

soliloquy in aria Coughing in the acrid smoke that filled her lungs, Delta 6 came to just in time to see Delta 7 being attacked by a group of Thetas. When we left that tent together, I guess we agreed to work as a team. She waited until a few of the group around him fell back, looking for an opening, then ran forward and slashed at the shoulder of the one in teal holding the pendant. She tried to speak, to shout an apology for her delay in coming to his defense, but found her throat still burning from the smoke surrounding the decaying monster. [ATTACKING THETA FIVE Weapon being used: Small Dagger Total Damage to self: 0 Total Damage to Theta 5: 2 Total HP value left: 28] Theta-5 had taken one last hit before the fog swept in, taking in both groups. Stumbling back, Theta-5 grasped about for T-13 before finding him and pulling on his arm. "Quick! Before the fog clears. We have to get out of here before the other group gets together and kills us!" Or more specifically him for having the necklace. For something that would save his neck, it was going to get him murdered!
Tugging, he moved through the fog, hoping to find a quiet place to rest with his bodyguard, teammate, and newly appointed best friend.
