Hayes had been struggling with an odd feeling - the sort of loose and floaty sensation that made him wonder if he'd eaten enough for lunch until he realized it was lack of stress, even .. relaxation.

Weird.

Luckily (or not so much) riding in the car with Repo at the wheel had been enough of a near-death experience to erase that, and while Hayes was feeling more like he usually did on missions, he vowed to politely relieve the grunt of the keys before they headed home.

The blond agent took a moment to look around the blighted forest, then released two Pokemon of his own - a Pikachu that blinked, scratched an ear and perked up at the destruction, and a Pidgeot that stretched its wings and flapped, churning up dust.

"We're looking for a big robot," the Rocket told the bird, who uttered a "Geot" of affirmation and took to the sky. A few seconds later there was a far off scream.

"For the record, I'm Hayes," he told the group as they set off. It had occurred to him he only knew a handful of the Rocket he'd shanghaied.

Thanks goodness for that. Unbuckling his seatbelt Frost clambered out of the car, reaching for the luxury ball at his belt as he did so. Releasing the resident Glaceon he nodded briefly to Xander before setting off after Lore. Such a swathe of destruction. The power that machine must posses. Ridiculous or not he couldn't help being awed by what the leader of Team Galactic was capable of creating...

It was quiet. Too quiet.

Even Frost was aware that this was a terrible cliché but that didn't make it untrue. Any people or pokemon who had been in the area must have fled, and with good reason. Trees that had grown for decades levelled in a moment, the trail of torn trunks and branches sweeping away ahead of them. What did Galactic want here? What secret did they hope to uncover in the depths of the woodland? He supposed only walking onward would answer that question... He was certain that there was some oil in his hair.

Ears pricked up alertly, Skiron padded along beside his trainer; he had been told very briefly what was happening on the way down to the garages, but he hadn't expected anything like this. Whatever lay ahead, he was determined to be prepared for; this was the first major mission he and his trainer had been on, and he had no intention of embarrassing them.

Saleen opened the door and got out of the SUV. She was a little shaky….she didn’t think she got carsick…but she shook it off and then released Esther. The umbreon looked around and frowned a bit before looking back at Saleen. Saleen frowned as well before she started walking after Lore. She had worn her boots, thankfully, as they were a part of her uniform. It might be ugly but at least this outfit had a practical use. Saleen had chosen to keep Ciara in her pokeball for the time being, should a fight arise she was likely too weak to do much. Esther was much more useful in that sense.

Saleen was fairly quiet…she wasn’t quite sure what she would talk about if she did…

Team Galactic was definitely here. It seemed subtlety wasn't in their vocabulary. He glanced around at the trees as he excited the car, holding the door open long enough to allow Saleen out before fallowing the executive.

The trees were gone, and it bothered him. He was wondering for what purpose team galactic was doing this. did they want attention? Either way, they needed to be careful, whatever had created this was big. He released his gengar, Shade, who floated beside him. "This doesn't look good."

Repo fell in with the rest of the Rockets as they made their way into the forest. The 'trail' of fallen trees was easy enough to follow. Without looking he ran a hand along his belt, grabbed the first pokeball, and aimed it out from his side. A ray of light spilled out, shaping into Deine...his eternally angry-looking Drifblim. She hovered silently off the ground, and drifted after him with what could be taken as a frown. "Drif..."

If things got thicker up ahead, or somehow they lost the trail, he could offer to have her float up above the trees and look around. Fiain could too, but a drifblim was a much more common sight than a pikachu tied to a cloud of balloons. And it seemed someone had already thought of the idea, sending off a pidgeot.

The second pokeball on his belt gave a little wiggle, and he wordlessly tapped it, scolding. There's be plenty of fighting to do later, most likely. One was enough to have out right now. He did eye a few of the weedles--odd that there was nothing else around, and think of the empty pokeballs in his bag. Now wasn't the time to be catching common little bugs though. He grunted and fell back in step with the others.

Mau clutched a pair of pokeballs as he slid himself out of the vehicle. Once out, he called out Nuu, his drifblim, and Ire, his Jolteon. The blue ghost came out surprisingly subdued. Rather than screaming happily, she floated and looked at the destruction. "Nuu, keep an eye out for a gian metal bug." Mau instructed the ghost. He watched Hayes and his pidgeot, and nodded. "Keep the bird in sight." With a solute with three hands, the ghost drifted off.

Ire bristled and stuck to Mau's side like glue as he started towards the trees. She didn't like this. She didn't like the forest being in such... shambles. It was like her master's room, but bigger. And now destroyed. This wouldn't fly with her.

With the ghost on the look out, Mau and his jolteon entered the path of destruction behind the executive.

Alexander scooted out after Sorano and stretched his arms over his head. He looked over at Frost who was already walking, with a grin before calling out Conrad and Zack. The Eevee and Growlithe looked around but stayed by Xander. He started walking after the group but kept his distance from the grass cotton pokemon. He looked around with a scowl at how much destruction there was. Everywhere he looked there were trees fallen over or damaged in some way.

As the team progressed, taking directional hints with the help of Hayes' pidgeot, the path got increasingly difficult. The forest was dark and humid and the trees weren't easy to climb over. The alternative of avoiding the path of destruction instead presented the issue of dense foilage and getting lost from the inability to see their pidgeot guide. So the path seemed the better route.

This was unfortunate when they encountered a particularly large pile of toppled trees crossing a wide stream. On the upside the trees formed a decent bridge. On the downside, they were in a messy pile, looked slippery and rather unstable.

"Well this looks fun. Hope you've all got some pokémon to help you across this thing." Lore smirked back at the Rockets. He was a little out of breath from the trek thus far and had accumulated smudges of dirt on his uniform, but he looked to be having a great time. Finding a challenge for his team to overcome was just another plus.

He probably had engine oil in his hair, and now he was hot, sticky, and grimy too. Flicking a stray piece of foliage off his sleeve with an expression of extreme distaste, Frost regarded the 'bridge' before them with deep suspicion. He was agile enough, yes, but he wasn't sure that he was agile enough to avoid slipping and falling into the water. Well, at least he floated.

"You have an interesting definition of the word fun, sir," Frost observed to Lore, pursing his lips slightly, "and personally I lack anything that could help us across, unless anybody fancies an ice slide." Luckily, however, it looked like his compatriots did have pokemon that would be useful in the crossing. Whether or not they would help him was another matter entirely of course... They would. This was a mission, any personal feelings they had about him would surely be set aside for the greater good.

By the time they reached the river, Repo was starting to feel the march. He wasn't terribly winded at all, but the back of his neck was surely going to be burned lobster red from the sun beating down. Curse his home being in a more northern region! He should have thought of bringing something to prevent this. At least he had some aloe with him. While the group was milling about by the log bridge (after a fashion) he swiftly applied some to his already stinging neck. Ahhh.

Crossing, as far as he was concerned, would be a breeze. There were two drifblims and a pidgeot here, weren't there? He nodded to Deine, who hovered higher, and over his head. Reaching up, he grasped two of her dangling arms. If he slipped, she'd be easily able to hold him up. She had the lift to fly him all the way across, but this way, with his feet on something like solid ground, he wouldn't have to worry about a stray breeze carrying them the wrong way.

Thus clinging to the pokemon, he worked his way towards one end of the river. The log-filled area was quite wide, and he looked back over his shoulder to see if anyone else'd be testing it out. "I donna think this'll be too bad. Deine can help keep people afloatin', an' I can send her back t'help s'more across, aye?"

Mau eyed the path over the river. He wasn't too keen on the thought of slipping into the river. Of course, if he did fall in, he knew some how Nyx would find out, and he wouldn't live it down. But... he had a plan B.

"Nuu." He called for the blue Drifblim.

"Blim! Blim blim drif!" She came when called and looked at the bridge. "BLIIIIIIIIM!" She was happy to oblige and grabbed Mau with 2 arms, and Ire with another arm, and hoisting them up and carried them over the fallen logs. Of course, she didn't want to set either down right away. She got to be helpful! But when Ire was getting ready to bite Nuu, she dropped them both down. Mau dusted himself off, but Nuu wasn't ready to stop being useful yet. She floated back over the river, looking at the other rockets. There was one who was standing there, staring at the logs.

"BLIM!" Nuu grabbed the poor blond agent, Frost and hoisted him into the air, happily bringing him over the river.

The trek through the forest wasn't all that bad - Demyx hadn't fallen, and it was relatively quiet. Upon coming across the stream, a wide grin cracked his face once again. Water was his element. Even if he slipped and fell, he'd be good. But it didn't hurt to have a little help.

He pulled Arpeggio's pokéball, releasing the Vaporeon nodding towards the stream. Without a single word the pokémon trotted forward and slipped into the stream, swimming around the fallen logs.

"Alright guys, don't worry about falling in too much. Arpeggio will have your back!" Demyx said lightly, grinning and hanging back. He could cross last, make sure everyone else got over before he did. He was likely more at home in the water than anyone else on the raid, and was less likely to need any help if he fell.

Hiking the wooden slide sounded like a fine idea, but the very glare from his Flareon told him otherwise.

"Look, Neva, I ain' like Len so . . . " The glare deepened. "I won' drop ya in tha' wata'" Deeper . . . "Look, can' ya trust me-" GLARE.

So, unhappily with said Flareon warming his neck, Sorano cascaded a foot over the log bridge clinging to the several arms of Pietro. Arceus, he looked so stupid.

"This be all yer fault . . . " he muttered as the Drifblim farted and pushed itself through the air. Apparently, it was not capable of just drifting in a float.

"Flare." grunted Never in turn through the many pffts.

Saleen grumbled a bit as she climbed over the fallen trees….she would need to get a big pokemon, like an arcanine, one of these days. This was a real b***h to deal with. Esther however, had no problem leaping over the trees. Too bad she was too small to carry saleen. When they reached the ‘bridge’ to cross, Saleen just frowned. Great…she didn’t have a water pokemon to cross the water with…she would have to cross from the log.

She didn’t want to fall in, whether there was a pokemon there to catch her or not. It’s bad enough she was wearing this, but to get her clothes wet would be awful! She would come home looking like a drowned rat! Saleen decided to try and just be careful. She stepped on the log, arms out stretched, and began to proceed with caution. Esther was walking behind her, having little difficulty, and was prepared to attempt to help, should saleen sleep. Now she just had to be careful…

Upon reaching the other side of the river, Repo dropped from Deine's arms and waved the cranky blimp back over the river, letting it choose whom it'd like to assist. The drifblim settled on Frost, seeing as he was just milling about, and with a rather impatient cry of "BLIM!" she wrapped her multiple limbs around his arms, yanking them up and hauling him towards the water without delay. Like Repo, she took missions very seriously. There was no time to be lollygagging around!
