Zori & Maisha

Zori waited a moment, watching as the Kricketot tore off after Amaterasu, waving her leafy tail in farewell. "Goodbye, Amaterasu..." She murmured under her breath. "...and good luck."
The Leafeon didn't move for a few moments, thinking back on the words of the Absol as she disappeared. The Original One referred to Arceus, and always would. What Arceus had told her... a prophecy? It had to be; Arceus never spoke to the mortals under his power, except to grant them with the words of wisdom. He would never speak straight, instead leaving his people to interpret and understands his words on their own. She knew this, simply as fact, and it was taught to many Pokemon during their early years.
'What could you have meant... by protecting "her"? The key to our survival... that Arceus assigned to me...'
Shock rippled through the Leafeon's frame as the Absol's words struck home. She now knew what was important, and she knew that she had to return to the guild. She had much to think about, and much to plan. It would require a lot of intricate and difficult decisions, but... it had to be done, if she was to follow the path required.
"...ZORI!"
The Grass-type jumped suddenly, shocked by Maisha's voice. It seemed that she'd been unintentionally ignoring Maisha;s calls for some time, and as she turned to face the ghost, she looked mildly apologetic.
The Gastly calmed immediately, proceeding to guide the Leafeon back toward the rest of the group, where they would shortly be following the path back home with the rest of the guild, presumably by teleport.

Era & Ethfael & Erinn & Sereni

Ethfael sighed with discontent as the scene evolved into more violence and just gave up. There wasn't really much of a point to his efforts any longer. He had to respect the Luxray for the defense of his friends, or at least his charges if they weren't his friends per say, but Suicune took care of him soon after he leaped onto Celsus, and there was nothing really left to say on the matter then. The entire area was far too tense for him, so he contented himself with standing to the side. He was more than slightly ruffled by the evident ignorance of any and all common courtesy to their supposed prisoners, but now that people who were of higher rank than himself were present, he wasn't about to contradict his superiors. With a sigh he kept his gaze downward, unable to meet anyone's eyes and feeling more than just a bit foolish. He wouldn't deny what he'd said though, there was nothing wrong with attempting to keep the peace; that much he believed wholeheartedly.

Soon enough Pluto himself arrived, the regal Leafeon led by the same Gengar that had taken the pendant, Thanatos. He took charge of the situation with a definitive air of command about him. Ethfael watched as the Honchkrow was apprehended gravely, before turning to leave. He spared no second glance at the scene behind him, guilt and shame prickling at him mercilessly. He wasn't entirely sure if he'd done the right or wrong thing, or if indeed it had been worth it. He frowned slightly and shook his head; there was no use worrying over the past, what had happened had happened and there was nothing more to be done. The mission was accomplished, Albertson apprehended, the pendant in safe hands, and nothing left to do but head back.

Erinn and Sereni were awaiting him on the edge of the room. Neither of them said anything, but Erinn gave a nod of respect while Sereni offered a sympathetic smile. "Let's go," he murmured curtly, ready to get back to the Guild. Not bothering to ensure they followed, Ethfael left. The other two exchanged a glance, their hard feelings by now long forgotten, and then followed him back through the fortress and outside.

Era stood to greet them as they came out into the field outside again, surprised to find them looking so glum. "Is something wrong?" she asked them with concern.

Ethfael shook his head, "It's fine, don't worry about it," he told her. Era nodded, but didn't lose her concern as they headed over to the group comprised of the rest of the Guild, waiting to be teleported home. This mission at least had been far less violent than the average one, which was something to keep them hopeful, if nothing else.

Amaterasu && Issun

"Any reason you just left it? I mean c'mon, you could have taken it!" Issun was safely nestled in the fur at the ruff of The Mother Goddess's neck.

My power has waned over the centuries, the Faithful are few. I sensed that they would not give up The Pendant. I wished no more bloodshed. I can only trust them to keep it safe. They have good intentions. Better in their hands than another's.

The Kricketot could not understand her fully, but he's gotten better and better at deciphering her words, enough to get the general idea at least. He grumbled to himself and settled down for a nap in her fur. All that excitement had been exhausting, and in the end nothing came of it.

Amaterasu made her way through the forests swiftly. She was injured, tired, and needed to recover. There was one place she could go where she would be safe. The place of her rebirth, the caverns where she had summoned The Sun.

She sensed the psychic distortions that signalled the destination of a teleportation and skidded to a stop. Issun was very quickly awoken by this, as he had to grab onto her fur to prevent himself being flung off from the change in momentum.

"What's the big idea!?" He began his tirade, sticking his head out of her fur. He very quickly shut up when he saw the target of his intended verbal abuse though.

Well met Silver Dragon. Amaterasu began calmly, but she stayed on her feet. Though she was not tense, she was not fully relaxed with her guard down either. My power wanes in a world that has forgotten me. I am but newly reborn, with only the knowledge I have recovered since. I wish your friend well but there is nothing he needs which I can give.

Well, there was one thing, but Amaterasu was not going to give up the Dark Pendant now safely tucked away in the plain explorer's bag she wore.

"But there is something you can help me with. Two things, in fact, though you would never abandon one of them." Desmond couldn't understand her completely. He was not among the "faithful" that could hear her voice uninhibited. Those were few, even now.

He was, however, extremely old. As a legend he never "grew" in the traditional sense, but he knew much of the world and it's people. He knew of the original legends and the individual they were tied to. He had not spoken with many for his life span, but many for that of a mere mortal. He was good at picking up the most subtler signs of a person, especially in combat.

And apparently that was all he needed to get the jist of what she was saying. At least enough that she could not (or would not?) help him. That and, by her own voice, she was weak; which was a mistake on her part. Squashing her would not have been difficult, if not now then later when their forces were more concentrated. "Some of the mortals understand the situation in it's entirety. Their leader requests only your ear for the time being."

Amaterasu && Issun

Amaterasu sighed and gave a slight nod of her head. It was not like her to turn down a request, as long as it was not unreasonable. Though she will never restore herself to the peak of her power, turning her back to those who asked of her was no way to live as one in her position. Her life came from Faith, and to fuel Faith she must help the people.

When, and where?

A time and a place, huh? That was universal in any language. He didn't need anything to be able to understand that much.

"He can meet with you immediately if you allow me to teleport you. Otherwise, he'll be waiting for you at the ruins of the Tower of Rebirth. If you don't know it by it's mortal name, it is the tall tower that existed a ways northeast of the Guild of the Sun, which is where the Dragonite attacked. Would that be acceptable?" It was neutral ground. Ruined ground at that. It would be a good place to show the dramatics, if there ever was.

Amaterasu && Issun

Amaterasu nodded.

I need time to recover. I shall meet him there when the Sun next crests the world.

"I think she means tomorrow morning." Issun translated, figuring that he'd at least help a bit with the conversation. The pooch here was hopeless at communicating and the last thing they needed was to somehow get something across wrong to this who-knows-how-massive Legendary.

And with that Amaterasu sprinted off once more.

The morning, huh? Immediately would have been nice, but meeting her on her own terms was advantageous from a diplomatic standpoint. When the Absol simply ran off, he teleported in silence. Tolin had to be informed.
