Tuomas didn't miss the change in tone and bowed respectfully.
"Y-yes, of course. My apologies. According to legend, Rosencroix refers to the roses that once bloomed in this land when it was first formed. In particular, a rose that never withered or died. The very first of our vampiric ancestors named this flower Rosencroix or 'Immortal Rose' and built their kingdom around it. As the centuries past, the rose fed off of the magic of our kind as well as the blood crystals that our realm is known for. It is even said that the room where the blood crystals now reside was once the garden where these roses bloomed."
He shook his head.
"I'm afraid I am getting ahead of myself. Let me continue. During the reign of Lord Nicolae, the number of blood crystals diminished due to his relentless bloodshed and the magic of the immortal rose manifest itself into a spirit. Nicolae was unaware of this and walked through the garden one evening to see a woman clothed in white. Nothing, nor anyone could satiate his thirst for blood, and he attacked her. He fed off of this woman not realizing that this was the Immortal Rose herself. Thus, he was cursed and withered from the face of this earth. At least, that is how the story goes."

"And what does this have to do with anything. A nice story for the children, but how does this help us?" Damien crossed his arms. "Luciferius?"

Still shaking his head in disbelief, Luferius handed the book over to Damien for his examination. One of the pages showed very clearly an illustration of the spirit of the immortal rose. The image depicted could very well have been mistaken for the queen herself. The vampire watched his friend, jaw set into a grim line. "Reincarnation...if I did not know any better, I would say that it was her in the very flesh."

"Wha-?" Damien eyes went wide. "Does this mean...the pendant? Lord Nicolae still longs for her? Then...who is his reincarnation?"

Tuomas shook his head, looking up at the other dusty tomes full of legends and past.
"I'm afraid most of the real records pertaining to Lord Nicolae's reign have been completely obliterated. I suppose that those that came after him wanted to erase every single trace of his existence. Including all images of him."

"It'd be interesting if Luciferius was Lord Nicolae's reincarnation." Damien gave that a thought. "Really interesting. So now what Luciferius? If she's a reincarnation then there's no point in fighting her. We'll just have to find the man that will react to the older spirit inside of her."

Luferius gave a consenting nod before turning back to Tuomas. "Thank you for clearing this up. One more question though, is there anything within these books that may help us to locate where the queen may be? Ryn has taken her from the throne room."
Tuomas paled, but went to retrieve a few volumes.
"I am not certain, but if her blood crystal is still intact, it may be of assistance."
The youth sighed, thinking of the wreckage that was his lab.
"The only thing that I may be able to do is contrive a rudimentary summoning circle. The chances of it succeeding will be slightly lower than normal, though."

"That will do just fine." Damien nodded. "Anything to find the queen. The little fox, she seemed close to the queen. Do you know why Luciferius? We might be able to use her to our advantage."

"That is true. I suggest we find her at once." He sniffed the air overhead in an attempt to catch the scent before turning to face Tuomas. "Begin your preparations immediately in the throne room. Damien and I will meet you there soon enough."
He nodded.
"Y-yes, sir. I will begin right away."
Bowing to both superiors, he went to prepare.

"Let us go find her Luciferius. Where is she now? We told her to leave the throne room." Damien looked around the library.

Taking another deep breath, Luferius closed his eyes to visualize the layout of the castle. "She seems to be in one of the Guest Chambers with another individual. Likely her escort from the festival. Shall we?" Opening his eyes, he gestured to the Library's doors.

"Yes sir" Damien walked out the library, following Luciferius to where the fox was hidden.

After returning to the castle he decided to ask a guard for the location of the library, upon reaching his destination he began search for a book detailing vampire clans.
"There has to be one around here somewhere!" Richter shouted in frustration as he struck the bookshelves with his fist, as he struck the bookshelves a second time a flurry of books crashed around Richter.
"Dammit!" He cried in frustration assured that someone had heard the books. Quickly Richter dropped to his knees and scrambled to return the books.
