Ebony

The gaping hole in the ceiling suddenly clouded over, shrouded by a veil of shadow that seemed to choke out the sun above. A dark, delicate paw stretched through, and suddenly, a lithe, rather entrancing-looking Lopunny appeared. With eyes of scarlet, she gazed around the great hall, her furry body black as night, and mysterious as the shadows she came from.
A massive, shining silver sword was strapped to her back by a thick, black leather belt, the partial sheathe just barely big enough for the blade she wielded.
A deep gash ran down her back, twisting around her side, and across her stomach. A battlewound, and distinctively so. It was fresh, though it no longer bled, and she kept it uncovered, as though proud of the ugly scar that now marred her pretty figure. A battle won, no doubt, from the triumphant smirk that lit her rather sadistic expression. She cared not for the circumstances she had thrust herself into. She was of a much higher purpose.
"Draka!" Her voice was sharp, as though speaking to an underling. Her crimson eyes fixed straight ahead, her gaze resting on the form of the Dragonite below her as she half-hung from the ceiling. "We're done here!" She added with a haughty snap of her small, delicate jaws.
She twisted, turning to leave, and pausing, as she glanced back over her shoulder. A pair of semi legends... Hmm, how interesting. The Raikou and Suicune were powerful, no doubt, especially when together. She would have to relay the information carefully; every step must be noted precisely, or they might leave a flaw uncorrected. The effects that a single being could have on the inner workings of their plan... The result could be disasterous.
She reached back, running her fingers along the hilt of the sword. She could hear Suecra's voice screaming in her head as she touched the shining blade, and she smirked.
"We have what we need; and my dearest brother didn't stand a chance." Her high, cruel laugh seemed almost mocking as she uttered the words, her tale a venomous whisper to the Espeon and his guild below.
Ebony, the host to Creaus, spoke not of a brother in blood, but of Alfred. Suecra, weakened by the balance, had been simply been overpowered, though he'd certainly not gone down without a fight. The gash on her stomach was evidence enough of that.
The Lopunny snapped her fingers impatiently, and disappeared with a flash, merging into the shadows above her.
She was gone in a heartbeat.

Solaris---Moonfall---Tolin

Draka, as she was to be named, quickly jolted her body sideways.
The Aurora beam glanced off her side, lighting up her scales in the brilliant tones the ability conferred.
And then, red. The beam had been cold enough to split the soft, sensitive skin that was under her scales.
Suicune had drawn blood.
She brought one hand down to the wound and wiped it carefully, ignoring the minuscule attacks aimed at her. The Raikou had already balanced away, too scared of her to stay.
She brought her hand up so she could see it. The blood began to pour anew.
Her face creased in frustration. Anger. Annoyance.
The mortals had delayed her too long. To even draw blood from her body.
She sprinted forwards, her every step echoing throughout the hall as the dust and rubble shook.
And then she stopped. Very, very suddenly.
She looked straight up at the ceiling and then vanished.
"She's... gone?" Solaris stared inquisitively from where she had been to where she had looked.
But the assault had yet to hit it's final note. A thick, bright white beam suddenly pierced the wall near the exit.
It began to carve through the building, cutting the roof away from the rest of the building.
The roof fell.
Thankfully, the walls were sturdy enough to hold it. Even with the sudden impact, the ceiling seemed stable. If... lop-sided.
"You can get up, Solaris. We're fine."
The guild leader shifted one of his paws up slightly before snapping back out of embarrassment. "I... I know that!"

Sh... She left!?
One final round before we're done! The rewards and the conclusion to the opening post will be in my next post.

CelsusasdfImitiqwertyOliverqwerytChuck

Chuck and Oliver picked themselves up off the ground. That had been...wierd. The Dragonite had showed up, attacked, disappeared without a trace. Almost as if it had been done specifically to interrupt someone's day.

Imiti floated down from the damaged rafters. "Cupric, are we all here? Oliver, Chuck, not to badly hurt I see. I'm perfectly fine. Celsus...Celsus?"

Having recovered from the effects of the electricity, Celsus once again rose to his formidable...general impressiveness. He floated through the air to approach Solaris.

"Who was that Dragonite? Tell me now."

Era & Ethfael & Sereni

As the chaos ensued from the Dragonite's attack on Suicune, Era and Sereni looked on with a mixture of awe and concern. The sight of two such powerful Pokemon fighting was amazing, as terrible as it may have been as well. They were at a total loss for words as they watched the struggle, and things only got better after that, or perhaps worse would be the better term.

The sky became veiled by shadows, out of which a lone Lopunny appeared. She was black and gray with menacing crimson eyes, nothing close to the normal appearance of her species and the mere sight of her was enough to send shivers down Sereni's spine. What even brought her to Ethfael's attention however, was her voice, which was most definitely the same as the one from the transmission; the one who had been talking to Alfred. She wore a sword across her back, another odd sight to see on a Lopunny, and a huge gash tore all the way around her, reaching from her back to her side and onto her stomach. She told the Dragonite to leave, ordering her as though she was above her in rank. Her idle comment about her brother seemed out of place to both Era and Sereni, but no so much to Ethfael who was beginning to put two and two together about the entire situation and seeing just how bad things truly were. Then, as quickly as she'd arrived, she was gone, and the shadows began to recede with her, leaving nothing but more questions that would not be answered.

The attention of Team MistMelody was soon directed to the Dragonite, who tore across the room unexpectedly and then simply vanished, the trickle of blood brought about by Suicune not going unnoticed by them. Then a rather difficult to ignore Hyper Beam sliced through the roof and Era and Sereni winced as it began to fall...and then managed to stay aloft by some miracle. Both breathed a sigh of relief although still eying it carefully and walked over to Ethfael who still stood staring at the place when the Dragonite had last been. "Are you alright?" Era asked him, noting a rather far-away look in his gaze.

"It's nothing," he replied, not commenting on his thoughts. He looked Era and Sereni over, pleased to find that they had no terrible injuries. "I'm glad you two made it through alright," he said to them with a smile, "Dragonite are no easy quarry."

"We're fine," Era assured him, "There's a lot more going on right now than they've let on thought, isn't there?" Ethfael nodded silently. Yes, far more was going on than perhaps they could ever have imagined. Rather solemnly, the three headed over to where Solaris, Epitaph, and Tolin were standing, to hear what was to be said. Clearly answers needed to be given, but Team MistMelody would not be the ones to demand them, especially since a certain Gyarados had beaten them to it.

Epitaph-Saileithe- Darius

Sai blinked, watching the closing events take place. Her posture straightened and her head tilted as Darius walked over to her, his eyes scanning the room.
Sai became baffled. She’d seen that Lopunny before—or so she thought. She looked different.
Their ears twitched as the ceiling shifted. Sai was ready to leave before anything else happened.

Epitaph sat beside Solaris, her head turning slowly as she inspected the guildmates here; mainly checking if anyone who was here vanished. Her attention reeled back quickly at Celsus’ demanding question and her expression angered ever so slightly… quite a rude approach he’d taken to the Espeon.
She took a second to clear her throat before speaking.

“Would you expect him to know?” Upon returning the question, “This might be a better question to ask Alfred or Tolin.” Epitaph eyed Tolin quickly before returning her gaze toward Celsus. Those two always seemed to know more than Solaris could answer.
She went silent, but stared down the Gyarados regardless.

((gj you pissed off my Flareon. Poor Solaris ;_; ))

Reginald & Desdemona & Anastasia

All three team members met back up and their jaws dropped in surprise at what happened next.
"Okay, what the heck just happened?" Desdemona demanded, breaking the silence between the three.
"Who knows..." Anastasia quavered. The huge Dragonite had just... dissapeared so suddenly and mysteriously.
"Well!" Reginald said with mock cheerfulness, "That's over with. What happens now?"

Zori & Kaiyou

Zori flattened herself against the ground, gazing upward with glowing, golden eyes. She could see where the roof had fallen in, and deep, dangerous-looking cracks ran through the ancient marble. She didn't want to know how many tons of solid stone hung above her head, unstable in nearly every way.
She turned to glance at Kaiyou, who lay on the floor just behind her. He was awake, she could tell, from the harshness of his breathing, but she didn't want to disturb him all the same. His head injury and the deep wounds on his arm were probably paining him.
"We're safe, Kaiyou. Just give me a moment to find out what's going on, alright?" She told him quietly, though she did not expect a response. He had heard her, regardless; that she was sure of.
She trotted off through the gathering crowd around them, headed straight for Tolin, the older Scyther seeming like her best bet at determining exactly what had just happened. Solaris was unreachable; she did not want to speak through an angry Epitaph just to speak to her guildmaster.
Approaching the Bug-type, she grimaced. "Tolin... who were they?" She asked quietly, her voice calm, and her serious gaze fixed on his form. "I can't imagine that a pair of strangers would run through and cause so much havoc... taunting us, when we don't even know their names... Surely you must know something?" She could tell from the discomfort that seemed to shine in the Scyther's eyes that he knew something. Whether or not he would release the information so readily was another thing entirely. In fact, the idea that he would tell her was beginning to seem illogical at best...

Ivan---Momo---Neon---Ice---Lloyd
The Raikou shook his head in annoyance as his prey slipped away. Honestly, what was going on here?
"Ivan!" Above him a tiny voice squeaked out and in seconds a small Azelf was hovering over him.
"Are you alright?!"
"Momo, I told you to stay with Raith and Miranda."
"Well, you went running off so suddenly! I got worried and we can't head to Rebirth without you since the letter clearly asked that you be there too! Besides, they can manage on their own without me."The Raikou ignored the chattering of the tiny semi-legendary who was now angrily chewing on one of his ears.
His attention went to the Suicune he'd seen in the midst of battle.
It'd be a long time since he met another semi-legendary that was from his own set of three.
Noting the claw marks over her small form he shook his head to get Momo's attention.
"Tend to this one. I believe that Espeon over there is the guild master here. I'd like a word."
Turning away he padded over towards the group that was already gathering around Solaris.
Well, they'd get out of his way quickly if they knew what was good for them.
"Don't worry~" The Azelf pipped, hovering in front of Suicune's nose. "I know how to fix scratches like these. Ivan gets into fights all the time."
A small glow engulfed her tiny form and stretched out of the larger legendarys.

"Incommmiinnggg!"
From the convienently placed hole in the roof, that was now clearly a new entrance, a sleek blue and white blur soared in, large wings spread out to slow his descent.
Unfortunately this was Ice, Lady Neon's pet Flygon, so a smooth landing was not going to happen.
The ditzy creature slammed belly and face first into the ground with Neon and Lloyd sitting on it's back, both looking rather frazzled and not just from the awkward landing.
"Here as well?" The prophet Espeon asked in disdain, leaping from her Flygon's back and immediately bounding over to where Solaris and Tolin were.
Eyeing Zori with a faint smile, really faint, she snapped her attention back to Solaris in front of her.
"The other guilds are in complete disorder, I don't...I don't know if anyone was killed, but there a lot of injuries and most the guilds themselves are almost completely destroyed, the tower of Rebirth is in ruins and I think the tribe may have been attacked as well..."
"Hospital is already on standby." The orange Weavile commented as he began to step forward.
"There is...something I should probably explain later to you all as well, but not here. Right now we need to move the injured to be treated."

User Image ~Raven

No, just no. Raven was not about to allow himself to be crushed nearly to death twice in one day. A quick rolling motion and a spring to his feet sufficing as enough to get him out of the way of a Flygon's crash landing in the middle of the recovering battlefield. Out of harms way for the remainder of the day hopefully, the Lucario looked around for a familiar face; thankfully getting two in the process. Zori in one piece and already interrogating some higher ranked guilders, Raven figured it best to go stick by a pained looking pinkish blob which he recognized as another one of his teammates; Kai. Having made his way over and gotten a better view of the Swampert; things looked more severe than expected. Normally having to look up to the much taller Pokemon, Raven instead found himself now crouched down next to the lying figure to see him eye to glazed over eye. All it took was a solid poke to the forehead with no real elicited response for the Lucario to determine his next words.
"I think we need one of them hospital stuffs over here!"
He announced to no one in particular, having heard a nearby Weavile say something on the lines of aid for those who are injured. Raven wasn't exactly about to carry the giant oaf to the city or anything; hell, he could probably fit inside some of Kai's wounds right about now...

"Don't tell your mom about this and I'll get you a gun or something to play with."
Mugen's voice sounded both worried and threatening at the same time as he looked over his shoulder to speak to his perched child who simply gave a silent nod in response. With that the two departed, the Sceptile figuring every moment spent there was just adding to the chance of immanent death upon arrival back to Fire. Rewards and such would have to be picked up later if he were still alive.

Solaris---Tolin---Desmond

Tolin fell silent in the wake of the arrivals, his eyes closed and his body showing no recognition that he was being spoken to.
Solaris blinked in surprise as disdain settled in. "The... other guilds were attacked too?" Well, it made sense. He hadn't had time to think about it over the battle, but that explained the radio.
Tolin's eyes opened.
Desmond promptly appeared, cradling the humanoid figure in his arms. The pendant he had been wearing was carefully held between two fingers.
Another legendary? Oh what the hell, it was too many now to even care. "A... Alfred!?" The Espeon nudged his way through the group towards the Lugia.
"How is he?"
Desmond simply shook his head. "There wasn't anything I could do. I'd have lost my head if I intervened, so I stayed quiet and picked him up after. I've managed to close his wounds, but..."
"...Suecra's gone." Tolin finished the sentence. Desmond nodded quietly.
Tolin looked the Gardevoir over carefully. He was scratched and bruised from what was likely a one-sided and brutal battle. The front of his shirt had been torn open and the wound from the blade was still apparent, although it did not bleed.
"I'm sorry Tolin. Even if we had managed to win..."
Tolin shook his head. "It's fine. You took the right course of action."
Solaris's gaze darted back between the two of them constantly from sentence to sentence, getting increasingly frustrated.
"Will someone please tell me what's going on!?"
Tolin glared down at him and spoke a single word before facing the rest in turn. "No. Desmond, take him to the hospital. Lloyd, you talk to me first. You and your friend as well, Raikou." He didn't know who Lloyd was, but he was going to get the same option as Orion.
Solaris's face began to turn red. "Tol..." And then, the Scyther was gone. It would have been easy enough to follow him, but the Lugia disappeared as well. The Legendary's trail quickly overpowered the much smaller, weaker one of Tolin.
The most productive thing the Espeon could do was flail around angrily.
Well, though there was that giant Raikou that helped them and probably kind of saved the guild.
He dipped his head slightly. "Uh... Thank you for your help."
It was a fair show of humility to a legend, at least.
The ceiling audibly scraped as it shifted, causing part of it to come inside of the room and press against the wall. Solaris glanced up at it nervously before quickly addressing the guild as a whole.
"Everyone, good job! Your rewards will be sent to your team room. Please leave before the ceiling crashes."

Epitaph-Saileithe- Darius

Epitaph listened to the conversation in silence, almost regretting her statement earlier toward Celsus after seeing the Gardevoir. Though, what did she know? No more than anyone else did.
The Flareon’s ears lowered, standing as the ceiling shifted again and she slowly made her way back toward Solaris.

“Would you like me to walk back with you?” Her tone was rather sympathetic. The Espeon might not have been some amazing guildleader, but this situation was clearly unsteady.

Sai’s ears perked from where she stood. She took a breath and began to make her way out of the room. The dust from the ceiling as it collapsed would only mess with her breathing.
“Darius, I’m going to the hospital to help out. Handle the rest from here.”
The Zangoose’s ears twitched at Sai’s orders. Though his eye never left the slowly breaking up group, she had his attention.

Rion & Novu

_____________________________________________________________

Rion and Novu had just about wore themselves out trying to help out with the Dragonite attack, but were just as perplexed as everyone else was at the mysterious appearance of that Lopunny, and how they had dissapeared. None the less, Rion praised the new recruit.
"You held up well. I think you will be a great addition to our team," Rion said as he sat down to rest from the battle. Novu smiled, sitting down himself.
"Awsome. That was epic," he said simply, laying down to catch his breath as the other pokemon conversed around them. They weren't one of the higher teams, so they hadn't the slightest idea of what was actually happenening, only that help was needed.

Zori & Kaiyou

Zori flattened her ears in horror as Alfred, held ever so tenderly in the wings of the great Legendary, emerged. He looked near to death... so frail...
She swallowed, falling utterly silent, and backing up a few steps. She stayed near to Solaris and the gathering group of high-ranking guild members. She couldn't imagine the amount of strength it would take to turn Alfred into that... It just seemed wrong, on all levels.
Disheartened and concerned for both her teammate, and the Rebirth Guildmaster, she nodded blankly as Solaris gave the order to evacuate.
The Leafeon turned away, padding numbly back toward her companions. She didn't quicken as she drew nearer, keeping her same, unsteady pace toward her friend and brother.
"Let's get him taken care of, and get out of here." She told Raven hoarsely. She didn't want to talk about it, not until she could piece things together for herself.
"Can we get a Teleport over here, please?" She added a little more loudly, calling out across the hall. They obviously couldn't carry Kai; his sheer size made that impossible, especially for the quadrupedal Leafeon.
She settled down onto her haunches at Raven's side, leaning against his leg to take the weight off her own, much smaller body.
Alfred was... hollow. Almost destroyed. Suecra, from what she'd heard, was gone. She didn't know who "they" were, but they had possession of Suecra, somehow... That was clearly not a good thing.
The Lopunny. She'd noted a brother... sadistically noted so. She didn't think that the two were related but... was it possible that she hadn't been referring to a 'brother' at all? She'd been working with the Dragonite, and they didn't seem to be working alone. Alfred had been gravely injured in another battle, and brought to see Tolin just after the closure of the one they'd fought in... There were too many coincidences, but they didn't add up.
Someone was hiding something from the guilds; from all of the Pokemon who helped to fight their battles. She didn't know exactly what they were hiding, but she had a feeling that if she were to find out the truth, she wouldn't appreciate what she found. More than likely, they hadn't been told because it wasn't exactly good news.
So it was a serious matter, and one that the majority of the guild would not know of. She couldn't help but be curious, but... if she were to find out the truth, what price would she have to pay?
A shiver ran down her spine, and she placed a comforting paw on Kai's good shoulder, partially to assure him that she was still there, and partially to assure herself that she had more important things to worry about. To distract her. She didn't want to know the truth right now. Not until she could decide for herself if the knowledge she'd gain would be worth the price she might have to pay...

Atra && Melissa

It was very clear to Atra soon that the Dragonite wasn't really hurt at all by the guild's combined attacks, and gave up with the attacking. It wasn't going to help.

Melissa seemed to have realized this as well. The two found each other, far back from the fighting. Melissa had hold of the Slumber Orb, recharging it however she could so that she could use it once more. When Atra approached, she very sharply began to bark orders at him, which caught him off guard.

"Go back to the Team Room, now. Tell Lilium of what's going on. Have her prepared to evacuate the team if necessary. Then go inform your father." There was so much authority suddenly in her voice that Atra almost turned around and followed the orders without thinking. Almost.

He stood his ground though, more than a little peeved that Melissa had tried to order him around, and very quickly began a heated argument. Which ended with a very frustrated Bulbasaur about to Sleep Powder him in the face before some maniacal lopunny came through the ceiling, the Dragonite left, and then nearly dropped the ceiling down onto their heads.

"Oh screw this. I'm leaving."

The Bulbasaur glared at the Flareon's retreating back and then turned and trotted to where the guild Leaders and a few legendaries gathered. She watched on from a distance, feeling herself to be of too low rank to speak up, especially before such awe-inspiring Pokemon. It's hard not to be awed in the presence of...oh, just a Raikou, Suicune, Azelf, and not to mention the Lugia. Melissa had a dull memory in the back of her mind telling her how powerful these figures truly were.

And that Scyther...didn't he look a little familiar? Maybe she had seen him around the guild a few times, but she had a nagging feeling it was more than that.

Taking in the injuries and destruction around her, the young Bulbasaur kept a stoic acceptance of the situation. As if she had faced such things before. Vowing to herself that she would ask Atra of what was going on -she was sadly mistaken in the belief that Atra kept in touch with his father on important matters- she left when the Guild was dismissed.

Morana && Incultyr && Suicune

Suicune watched the small Azelf approach with interest, more than a little awed by the collection of semi-legends. Suicune had never met another, except possibly for that strange white canine from Emerald pools. She stiffened as the healing energy washed over her, unsure at first if she was willing to accept the magic so readily from a stranger but relaxing as she felt its healing energy wash over and close her wounds.

"My gratitude."
She murmured, just as two figured made their way to her side.

"Are you OK?" Morana asked quietly, and Suicune nodded in assurance, though she shifted uncomfortably to distance herself a bit from the Houndour. Though she had befriended Team Polaris, her unease with mortals was still hard to overcome.

"Who the hell was that thing?" Incultyr demanded, wobbling up to her side, alternating a glare between Suicune and the Azelf. Suicune nearly started explaining before biting her tongue and looking back over her shoulder at the Scyther and his previous words.

They deserved to know. These guild members were risking life and limb on this mission, yet many of them did not know what it was they were fighting for. Suicune had just made up her mind to tell when the Lugia came in.

It was the Silver Dragon, the brother of the Rainbow Bird.

"Oh I give up. More legendaries. Next thing you know Arceus himself is going to be coming in for a chat. Or maybe we'll go to his tower and attack him there. I don't know what's going on with this guild anymore. C'mon Anna, let's see if Chronicler can shed some light on this." Said a very grumpy Incultyr, who turned and stomped off. Knowing the leadership in this guild, there was no point in trying to demand answers. Morana nodded a slight goodbye to Suicune before turning and bounding away.

Suicune barely noticed them, her attention fully taken by the Lugia. She slowly got to her feet, testing her muscles and her balance in light of her injuries.

The Lugia and the Scyther disappeared in teleports each, and she barely flinched as the ceiling came down just a little more. She ached but her injuries were smoothed over by the healing and she didn't feel as tense, the fear of facing such a strong opponent leaving her.

She silently padded over to the Raikou, approaching slightly cautiously, not sure of what she would find.
