"I am, ah, interested in music..." Alwine moved past a couple of other students to reach the sloth demon, apologizing the entire time. "Well, I am, I just... I've been having bad luck getting into classes. I'm still getting used to the layout and I have so far made it only to one class on time-- and it turned out that I was trespassing on private property instead of attending class for that one."

Alwine's voice trailed off like the end of one of the bandages her thin arms were wrapped in. "He was quite nice about it, though. I'm not sure why everyone thinks that that gentleman is mean... oh, I'm so sorry! I've completely de-railed! Ahh!! I'm so sorry! That wasn't a good choice of words! I'm sorry! I meant that I changed the subject and I am apologizing for it!!"

The hit was unexpected and usually he was sturdier on his feet. He had a deal of weight to him despite looking slender (a horse was a horse after all), but the Igor was powerful. If he intended it or not, he hit a hard punch into the kelpie's shoulder and, having been smiling at Yaya and Sharra, he had been taken by surprise.

He stumbled back and then fell down, landing on his tail and causing his saddle bag to let out a mutli-tuned whine as the air from his bagpipes let out a painful sound from the drones. Wincing, he looked up, looking both surprised and hurt on two levels. It wasn’t the first time Christof had tried to kill him, but he was surprised he did so in front of everyone. Not only his master, but the ghoul he was making eyes at.

He didn't know what he should have expected, but getting punched when he hadn't even said anything to the Igor just then just bothered him. His ears flattened and while he tried to look as if he didn't feel hurt by it, failing slightly, before working to get up. "Eat Salamander Spit, Christof." He said, pressing both hands in front of him on the ground. His way of standing up wasn't like others. He had to raise his tail end up, then raise up on his legs, and then rise up. His hooves tended to slip on the wood otherwise.

Hadiyya was much too focused upon her nursely duties to notice the exchange of dark glances going on above her head between the two boils. That is until bloody fingers closed a bit more firmly around he slender wrist, completely impending her ability to keep pressure on the remaining stub of his finger. Frowning, the djinn glanced up at the patchwork, dark brows already arched curiously, a question on her tongue. Of course the arrival of more familiar, and nearly familiar faces, as well as a tender peck to her cheek, made her pause. Turning smiles to those coming to join them, and up to the young man beside her. One she knew very well, Barth was something of a kindred, and they co-ran a club together. The other she'd only talked to on the networking site, but she was pretty confident she'd remembered his name.

"Unstabel, it's nice to finally see you in the flesh." She offered him a grin, and hoped that would be acceptable for a greeting, since she couldn't quite tug her hand out of the igor's iron grip. There was also the matter of the paint.. fight, match? Brows pinched, she frowned at the avarice demon until Calder placed a more familiar name with the activity. Oh, paintball. "Well that's nice of them, I think."

Further comment on that matter was cut off by a happy yell from Belledona, which Yaya happily returned. Again, hoping a smile would suffice for greeting. Chris's grip was surprisingly strong, and she was actually beginning to worry over the intensity in which he was holding on. It made her look back to him, swimming blues taking in the slightly off coloring of the boil's patched complexion. She could hear Sharra and Calder discussing the nature of their relationship, and was content to let the nergal boil handle matter. "Christof, I can't very well take care of you hand when you're holding my wrist." Perhaps a little careful phrasing and diversion?

Then again, perhaps not. Something Calder had said seemed to have struck a cord within the undead, and before the marid could even react the boil had taken a swing at the kelpi. The motion staggering the ghoul in the process, as her hand was still caught up in the igor's other hand. Her free hand shot out immediately to catch hold of Sharra's hand to keep from stumbling over. "Careful!" Her voice rose, but only enough to be heard, and once more she gave a gentle tug on the hand the undead seemed so stubbornly opposed to giving up.

To Barth and his redistribution of duty, the djinn could do little but roll her eyes, smiling in an exasperated sort of way. "Of course, now if you wouldn't mind giving me a.. er. Hand."

"You're very welcome!" Junko replied to Tahki, smiling to the gryphon. They may have only interacted by being in the same classes but Junko didn't want to see the ghoul cry over being bitten! She glanced over to see the little undead girl seemed to be...waiting? Oh, was she waiting to be with her friend? She was more than welcome to speak with her even with Junko here! She turned her smile to the girl. "Hello! Ah...Amrita, right? No need to be shy!" She giggled, looking around when she heard her name. Hmm? Oh! Belladonna! "Bella! Hi!" She called out to her friend, waving to the other ghoul and beginning to wander away from Tahki to greet her friend properly. Or she was until she spotted Yaya and a boil she didn't recognize, blinking and watching as the boil moved in close and even gave her a kiss. Who was he? Oh! He was the boil Yaya had spoken with on groanspring, right? They seemed close on there...huh!

Junko was sidetracked from her venture to Belladonna by pure curiosity, clasping her hands neatly behind her back and wandering back to them, gesturing for Belladonna to join them if she wished. She was really curious who this boil was. "Is everyone alright?" She asked Christof and Yaya, giving a little wave to Calder and Sharra. Oh...why was Christof holding Yaya's wrist? Was everything not okay?

"Of course, don't mind at all," he said to Yaya, waving his hand in a reassuring way. Giving someone a hand was a harmless and vague enough commitment.

Usually.

"And err, you don't have to apologize," he said to Alwine, "We were just discussing N.A.P. Club. I might have mentioned it on the trip. I forget. ...Were you joining? We need all the members we can get for the paint fight."

He trailed off as Calder wobbled to his feet. "Do you err, need a hand too?"

The kelpie looked up to glare at the demon. "No. I'm fine." He stated, clearly disliking the demon for not stepping in to keep Christof in check. If Christof said his owner kept him in control, yet his owner didn't keep him in control, what was the point of Christof having an owner?! He might as well be on his own! Not only that, but he wanted to kick the dang Igor in the shins, but seeing as he couldn't cause trouble because of Hellma breathing down his neck, he had to keep all the anger in. He wanted to hit something. Buck around a bit, but that was impossible here. Instead, he just fumed.

Rising to his feet at least, he pressed his kilt down and adjusted the chains to his sporran before he checked his back. When he noted that his bagpipes were not damaged, he looked at the Igor and then at Yaya. Stupid Igor being mean. "Geeeezzz Christof. Either let go or propose already." He said, deciding to just get back at the patchwork boil by making it VERY clear he was holding on to her. Maybe Sharra would punch Christof for him.

Sepheran stood outside the classroom for a bit his head tilted slightly to hear the hiss of Liannan, the white snake curled around his body. So this was his first classroom. Sephy couldn't help but feel a slight itch of excitement. Taking a deep breath he entered the classroom not knowing what to really expect. While he was new, he had met a few of the students when he was on the train during the Christmas Raid. Perhaps he would see some of them again, perhaps some even were going to sign up for this class. There was only one way to find out.

Sepheran paused for a moment after he entered, a wave of sounds hitting me as students chattered about. He couldn't quite tell if he knew anyone yet or not, but Liannan spoke of some weird music stand with a paper for signing up for the class. Sepheran figured he might as well start there, if any did recognize him they would probably call out to him anyway.

Making his way to the stand he took hold of a pen and signing his name away setting it down when he had finished. Pausing for a minute he looked up hearing Liannan describe the students, little did he realize the threat that stalked him until he felt a searing pain on his hand. Sephy's already pale face turned paler as he let out a groan of agony lifting his free hand which showed sharp nails, "GAH! What the....NNnnnng...Liannan where is it!?" Sepheran hissed his eyes popping open showing their whiteness as he stared at a blurred image chewing on his hand. He couldn't tell what it was but he swatted at it with his free hand anyway prying his hand from the sharp teeth.

It took some time but finally he was free...though blood now ran down his hand. The Basilisk frowned, even more when he heard what the culprit was. "The stand bit me! Liannan you should have warned me!" Sephy scolded. Liannan gave a loud hiss, she was busy looking at the students, she didn't notice the threat till it was too late.

Sepherean sighed then looked up and towards the moving blobs he considered had to be other students. "I don't suppose anyone has a spare cloth I could have?" he asked holding his hand best he could to insure no more blood fell to the floor.

Ah grand, it looked like he was going to have to at the very least, give the igor that talking-to, something he really wasn't looking forward to. As conversation progressed, he rolled his eyes. Grand, so Christof was only playing the mute part up now, instead of legitimately being deprived. Eyes narrowed once more, his thoughts towards the hunched boil becoming increasingly hostile. Ah Jack, he really didn't want to have to fight for his ghoul, but so help him, he would if things took any further of a turn downwards. Sharra was the sort, after all, that would much rather get along with everyone.

Distracted once more by the kelpie, he returned the handshake, grip firm. Ah, so a friend of Yaya's then? Always good to know more of those, as she seemed to be an utter socialite. "Nice to meet you then...you weren't the one who got her all muddy, were you?" Honestly he'd forgotten by now, which individual she'd been swimming with, just before their first meeting. As the pale-haired boil made further inquiry, he turned instead to Yaya, to see what she said on the matter...as honestly, he hadn't a clue on the matter.

And then, Christof apparently went off...and gave a rather sound blow to the kelpie, halting that train of thought in an utterly complete sort of way. Oh, well then, he wasn't really sure what Calder had said to warrant violence, but it didn't sit well with the nergal boil. "I think that was rather uncalled for..." He muttered, not at all reassured by the fact that the igor still had his hand clamped around his djinn's wrist. Putting his hand atop the igor's own, claws curling ever so slightly in a manner that wouldn't break the skin, but most assuredly hinted at doing so, he reiterated his desire in words this time, as obviously pointed glaring simply wasn't getting the job done. "And now I think you should release Hadiyya." His tone had gone even, annoyed and dangerous. Sharra was usually fairly calm, easygoing, but he didn't like the idea of Yaya coming away from this with bruises.

Ah there was another ghoul joining the party...Junko, and he managed a bit of a clipped wave to her as he rerouted his attention to the confrontation that had his demoness caught in the middle. He'd have to apologize for lack of a proper introduction later, once he had fully reclaimed all of Yaya's appendages in a very boilfriend-esque manner.

Anyone who had found themselves wandering the grounds somewhere between the demon dorms and Professor Blue's classroom that day might have borne witness to the elusive Pink Raeg. It sped across campus in a blur of grumbling and tail-flicking, shoving innocent nerds out of its way left and right.

West was pissed. This prissy music crap was probably close to the last thing he wanted to learn at this school, but he was still under his mother's thumb, at least where his education was concerned, and she had told him in no uncertain terms that he was going to attend this class and he was going to enjoy it.

Upon reaching the giant snakewood portal, he extended a hand to push it open, pausing for a fraction of a second as part of it came to life and hissed down at him. "SHUT UP. Damn doors withey're damn snakes in..." West crashed forward, slamming the heavy doors open with his shoulder. He glared at the students already present, then after deducing where the sign in sheet was, he stormed his way over to the music stand.

The thing seemed to be smiling sweetly, and it allowed West to retrieve and sign the wrinkled piece of paper it held easily enough, but when he went to put it back, the stand's smile transformed into a hideous rictus of destruction. The boil's attention was already back on the class, so when a row of teeth suddenly sunk into his left palm, he didn't know what to make of them at first. Had one of his fellow students taken offense at the way he had entered the classroom? Was there a small invisible rabid dog, perhaps, that had launched through the air and landed near his delicious hand? Green eyes flicked downward once more, and when he saw what had really dug into his skin, they widened, and he let out an angry man-scream, the likes of which hadn't emerged from his mouth in at least seven and a half hours. How dare it.

"WHAT IN SALLY'S VIRGINAL UNDERPANTS IS THIS s**t? GETTHAHELLOFFAMENOWWWWWW!"

West tugged his hand back, which only served to increase the amount of blood flowing from it. "GRAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!" His right fist shot out, catching the stand on its metaphorical jaw, and it let go, but not before somehow scraping a tooth across the knuckles of the attacking fist. West stepped back, pulling off his jacket and bundling his mangled hand in it. With an angry glare that clearly said "don't come near me, assholes," he stalked off to the back of the room and dropped heavily into an empty chair.

"Belladonna!" Lizzy had practically flew (well, walked really quickly) to the witch when she heard her greeting; it had been a while since their last conversation, and she was determined to change that. Slinging her guitar case over her shoulder to avoid hitting anyone, she extended her arms out and hugged her friend tightly. Judging from the smile on her face, it was rather clear that Lizzy was delighted to get some time with her. She pulled away after a while, but her smile didn't fade as she continued, "I didn't know you were into music!"

Almost every student after the witch got bitten by the music stand, but none drew blood except for one - a boil she had not seen before with a... Snake over his shoulder?

"Ah, um, will this do?" She reached into a pocket on her guitar case before pulling out a guitar polishing cloth, holding it out to the boil-with-a-snake as she offered him a smile, "Its new! So don't worry about it being unclean or anything." She had plenty of those, so giving one away wouldn't exactly make a difference to her!

Christof's eyes flickered down to the gnarled black and green bladed hand that had threateningly clamped onto his wrist, and he could feel his blood boiling- how... how DARE he put a hand on him! And in the middle of it all GIVE A WAVE TO ANOTHER ONE OF HIS GHOUL FRIENDS? He didn't even respect him enough to give him a PROPER focused threat!

The sudden shout by the wrathful Avarice Demon by the stand seemed to be the distraction the Igor needed. While heads were turned at the colorful language and frustrated display of anger management, Christof's free hand returned to it's fist, this time swinging upward towards Sharra's jaw with sealed intent.

This was a big class, she realized. There were more people here than she'd ever seen in this new life, and not one of them familiar ! Oh, she still wished Malodore, Vaith, or G would come inside next... Someone familiar ! Everyone talked in their own little groups and the wisp was starting to be more and more uncomfortable as the crowd grew around her.

The ghoul was trying to avoid what looked to be a brewing fight - at least for the moment - to instead look around the room, once again hoping for someone familiar. She wasn't exactly sure how to break into the established groups without being spurned away like an intruder. For all that she was extroverted, huge groups seemed to sap it out of her.

"Hold it! Stop, err, one minute, if you would. Let's just, err..."

Barth found himself inconspicuously in between the two.

"Excuse me, sorry, maybe now would be a good time to go see about that very interesting thing over there, that I am extremely interested in," Barth gave Sharra a wobbly sort of smile, then with one claw gently steered Christof in the opposite direction, on the off-bet that not too many people had noticed where that fist had been going.

"Oh look," Barth said. "How interesting. Now why don't you go keep West company, he looks out of sorts."

The hope was that West could suction off some of the clear waves of rage rolling off the boil, and also that West hadn't seen any of what had made it happen and therefore wouldn't make it worse.

...That was a fairly safe course of action, wasn't it?
PostPosted: Wed Feb 02, 2011 11:26 am

Alwine threaded her fingers together contemplatively as she looked over Barth. "Yes, I had mentioned my interest in NAP. However, ah, pardon me for asking, but... what on earth does paint have to do with any of it?"

Not recognizing many of the other students, Alwine's gaze simply wandered, but the observations were stopped when she heard the unmistakable sound of man raeg. Or, in this case, Pink Raeg. That looked painful. That looked really, really painful.

"Poor West," said the haunt. "I wish I had something to help him with, but ghosts don't really need first-aid kits. If only I had something to maybe wrap or compress the wound..."

Said the ghost that had bandages pretty much falling off of her.

He would have followed after Chris, but he didn't want to go near West, nor did he feel like being of any help to the Igor who punched him. If Mr. Grumpy-face wanted to go and hit his friends, then his friends were going to be mean right back. At least Barth stepped in when he did FINALLY and move the Igor away before things got even more awkward and dangerous. Then again, a good fight in class would have been exciting, and Calder was usually all for fighting over a potential mate. His kind did it all the time!

As the Igor left, Calder turned to the ghoul. "Seems people are gearing rather excited around here." He pointed out in reference to either West or Sharra and Christof's little challenge. He flicked his tail, adjusting the strap to his bag. "How about we all find a place to sit? I want to hear all about you two." Of course he'd be interested on how Sharra and Yaya met, not to mention sitting next to Yaya (of course Sharra would take her other side), would just piss off the Igor further.

Calder was a good friend.
