Osso watched her with a slightly tilted head. He no sooner found himself tearing out a few of the green blades. Her failure of completeing her thought made him curious, but he didn't persue the path of asking what she was going to say. He already had experience on that topic.
At her last comment he smiled before adding, "though I think I may beat you on that one. not having eyes sort of helps."

Len laughed.
"I always forget you don't really have eyes," she said. "D'you see colors and stuff? Or is it like...like a sonar sort of thing? Some animals don't have eyes, so they use like echolocation to see."
For once it wasn't simple curiosty that made her ask, but more an unconscious need to steer away from her strange behavior. The fluttery feeling had mostly dissapated, and at least she wasn't blushing anymore. For the moment, anyway.

Osso shrugged a little as he thought about the question that had been given to him. Why he needed to think? Who knows. "I just see in color like normal..I guess. Not sure if it's normal though because I can't really compare with how other people see things. Though colors like yellow or orange usually are really light and glowy or something."

Len listened attentively and nodded. She saw normally, she supposed. Except for the night vision.
"I can see good in the dark," she said a bit proudly. "It's bright as day for me. But...not such a good thing when it really is day. The sun hurts my eyes a lot."
Drifting around for a new topic, she started and suddenly held out her hand. She'd forgotten she still had the pendant.
"This is yours. Where'd you get it?"

Osso nodded as he listened to her speak. He certainly wished he could see that well in the dark. It would've saved his feet from many clutzy stubbings.
He looked down at her extended hand and for a second was surprised to see the pendant there, but quickly remembered the earlier happenings. "Nana-my grandma- brought it over for my mom when she came to visit. Said it was from some where called uh..Orvin-Orvieto? I'unno, it's some place in Italy." He shrugged, but then smiled as he closed her hand around the pendant, "it's actually yours now because I was going to give it to you when I saw you next."

Lenore stared at Osso in shock for a moment, long fingers wrapping 'round the pendant again. Hers? This thing...this pretty thing was for her? Feeling the by-now familiar warmth creep into her face, Lenore looked at the pendant in something like amazement. When he could've been making friends with other girls (she winced inwardly at the thought) and giving them things, instead he'd thought of her....
She suddenly realized she'd been staring at the pendant for five minutes without saying a word.
"Oh, Osso!"
With a squawk, Lenore leaped forward again and hugged the boy, beaming. She'd have to give him something nice, something extravagant, in return. Once she thought up what would be proper.

Osso let out a surprised yelp that was closely followed by laughter. For the second time that day a gray blush fell lightly over the whites of his cheeks as he returned the hug.
"You really like it?" He asked. EDITED (( Sorta kinda looks like this))

Lenore let Osso go again and nodded hard, setting the razor feathers in her hair to jangling.
"I love it! I'll wear it every day, I'll never take it off, I swear!" she said, putting it on as she spoke. The chain hung lower than her first necklace, on which hung Deimos' blood vial pendant and the black bird pendant Malachi had given her. Admiring the affect of the ivory rose on her lacy black shirt, she looked at Osso with an almost...no, not loving, not quite...but something quite close, expression.
"Thank you so much, Osso," she said. "I'll keep it forever, I promise."

He laughed and smiled with a quite similar expression, though he wasn't exactly aware of it. "Good!" He said happily while now semi studying her growing collection of necklaces. "Where are those two from?" he asked, purely out curiosity.
(( Lame response x_x;; ))

"Huh? Oh, these?" Len said, plucking at the fine silver chain that held her other two pendants. "Deimos gave me the blood one, and Malachi the bird one. I never take 'em off, ever."
She held out a wrist for Osso to see, where a jet-beaded bracelet encircled it.
"Malachi gave me this 'un, too," she said fondly. "I'm runnin' out of room to keep putting stuff people give me, since I keep promisin' to wear it." She laughed, grinning. "But that's okay. I don't mind it."
Pausing a moment, she tugged at her new necklace in sudden shyness. She hadn't really thanked him properly outside nearly squeezing the life out of him - there had to be a proper way to thank him...
An idea sparked in Lenore's head, daring, embarrassing and quite pleasant to think on. Leaning forward and blushing brilliantly, she kissed Osso on the cheek.
"Erm," she said, eyes averted after it was done. Maybe the impulsive idea hadn't been the best move.

A chuckle left him as he listened and inspected the jewelry. It took a minute more, as he was still sort of looking at the blood vial with some jealousy, before he began to say, "they're really c-" He stopped. The kiss had taken him completely by surprise.
Staring at her in shock, his cheeks became almost as black as the other parts and he opened and closed his mouth several times but no words would come. His stomach was during summersaults and became all fluttery. He'd felt something like this before while in her presence but it hadn't been this strong; it was almost completely new.
Osso blinked and his mind raced. What to say? what to say? what to do...he thought. soon he thought he had regained some speach, but really only sputtered out, "I..Uh...wow..." he said lamely. The boy was still in some surprised daze as hollow sockets gazed down at his knees.

Deeply astonished with her own daring, Len looked away.
"I-I'm sorry," she said quickly. Poor Osso! She'd....she'd...attacked him with her affections! The poor boy probably thought he had bird-girl cooties or something now! Ashamed of herself for not thinking her feelings might be returned, especially by a boy she'd only seen three times, Lenore got up as though to go.
"I didn't mean to," she said apologetically, unsure whether to stay or go.

It wasn't Lenore's words that snapped Osso out of his dazed stupor, but her actions. Quickly he looked up, worry on his face. He didn't want her to leave! "Len.." he said as he rose and soon had her hand in his.
"Please don't go and please don't be sorry," he began,"if anything, I should be sorry. You caught me off guard and everything just...everything just went bang and I didn't know what to do. I-" he didn't even try to finish so he concluded by leaning over and kissing her cheek while his own were still as dark as ever.

Lenore gave a squeak as her kiss was returned, eyes wide and amazed.
He didn't hate her. He...
"Uh."
Swallowing hard and blushing so brilliantly her face was ten shades darker, Lenore smiled at Osso awkwardly.
"So! Uh. Um. Yeah," she managed, keenly aware of how close they were to each other. She suddenly realized she didn't know what to do next. Was there something specific she ought to remember to do? Thoughts raced on the only other relationships she knew of, between Julian and Rabid, Crow and Liam.
They weren't exactly good pointers for what she'd call a really 'normal' relationship.
"I..." she said, trailing off into happily embarrassed silence.

Osso smiled in embarrassment and was now rubbing the back of his neck in a sheepish fashion. His hollow gaze trailed to one thing after another as he tried to figure out what to do next. They had pretty much put themselves into a very awkward moment...amazing, but still awkward.
"Heh..yea," he said after thinking that maybe if he said something, the words would just fall in place? Not.
