"Cardi...I'm sorry if I had misinterpreted you on the subject of lazy artists..." Katsuo spoke as he looked away from her gaze, setting the book down. His ears perked up at her saying that she enjoyed hikes too, "I enjoy a good swim once in a while. Fishing is fun as well, but I've never really tried my hand at it before. Mama has talked about it, but she never taught me." His tail wagged as he began to smile at her lightly. "I never said you were, Cardi, but you are truly beautiful... I would be honored to have a drawing of you close to me." He said as he moved a bit closer to her as his heart began to beat faster.

Cardi shook her head. Katsuo apologized too much. Maybe it was time she stopped making him have to apologize. It wasn't...well, she didn't want to see him apologizing so much. "It's okay," she said. "I just...get frustrated sometimes. Anyway. I'm...I'm sorry I snapped at you." She shook her head to get off the subject. She didn't like to dwell too much. Move forward. Learn new things. Know more than you did the day before. And Cardi felt like she was learning, learning new things in new subjects in new ways she had never known existed. "I'm not very good at fishing, personally. But I enjoy sitting there and observing things, watching them. I was way more active as a kit, but now that I'm older, I guess I like to watch things more."
She still doubted that she was beautiful. She had a nice coat, maybe, but she wasn't all that special to look at. "If you want to..." she said doubtfully, "I don't see any harm in it. Sounds a little personal, though."

Katsuo blinked as he listened to her apologize. He moved closer to her and embraced her into a hug. "There's no need to apologize." He said softly as he rested his chin on the top of her head. He realized that he was holding her and let her go with a light blush. "Well as a kit we have tons of energy to burn, but now it's a bit less than before." He said as she explained how he thought of it.
"I won't draw unless you are comfortable with it, Cardi." Katsuo said in a caring tone as he looked into her eyes. He noticed the day was starting to dwindle away. He thought about going into his home for a cup of fresh tea, but didn't know if would want to leave yet or not. "Seems the day is going by quick. Care for a cup of tea?" He asked as he held out a paw to her.

Cardi was a little stiff at first, but after a moment or two, she relaxed and wrapped an arm around his torso to pat him on the back. That felt...good. No, better than good, it felt natural. She was secretly reluctant to let him go when he released her. There was a tiny flash of heat in her cheeks, then it was gone. "Yes, we do. I used to bounce off the walls when I was a kit. It took me a while to learn that I was anything but."
Was she comfortable with it? It seemed like a personal thing to do, but...would there really be any harm in it? "You can draw me if you'd like," she said. "That's up to you. I don't mind, so long as I know that you're doing it." There was such a thing as too personal, after all, but after today, her perceptions of what that even meant were starting to melt away--with Katsuo, anyway. "Tea sounds nice," she said. She'd grown to like it over time. It was an acquired taste to be sure, but she'd grown used to it.
((I think she has, anyway...sometimes I forget minor details about characters xPP ))

"Hey if you aren't comfortable with it then I won't." Katsuo told her as thought about how she would feel. Even though he had his own children, he didn't want to lose someone he was getting really attached to. He wanted to make sure that she was comfortable with everything he was asking or doing. "I don't want to do anything that could make you think I was some kind of creep who just wanted you into my home. I want you to feel welcomed and be happy to come over anytime you'd like." He told her plainly as he stopped in the doorway. He didn't want anything to come between them, but he felt like he could possibly fall in love again.

Cardi shook her head again. She was giving her permission, and Katsuo was resisting. Why? "No, it's quite alright," she said again, firmly. "I don't really have a problem with it. Like I said, just so long as I know you're doing it." Katsuo resisted a lot. Cardi still thought it was odd, but...That's just how he acts, isn't it? It's what he is, who he is.
"I don't think you're a creep," she said. "And I do feel welcome. You have definitely made me feel welcome." She gave him a rare, albeit awkward, smile. "And...I think I will come over sometime. If you'd like me to?"

Katsuo felt his cheeks become warm when Cardi gave him permission to sketch her. "T-thank you! I will cherish it forever!" He said happily as he sat close to her with his sketch book on his lap. His tail wagged happily as he began with the basic lines. He worked quickly, but beautifully as if he was making a story behind the picture. "Of course! You're welcome to come over anytime you'd like. If I'm not home then I'm by the river. I usually catch some fish before the sun goes down." He added with a child-like chuckle. He was really happy to have met this fox. Before long he was already finished with his drawing, " would you care to look at it?" He asked as he looked towards he with a toothy smile.
