Lamia began to mirror Sin in his circling; with their colors and movements they made very good representations of yin and yang. Well, personalities withstanding.

"Hmmm. True, only fools waste their lives. Though only fools make snap decisions." She wasn't implying that Sin was making a snap decision, of course. Only expressing her thoughts on the matter.

Her face was as expressionless as usual, but the black eyes held a shred of curiousity to them. "To be mates implies that you trust me. Enough to let me closer to you and your secrets, obviously." Lamia nodded towards the land they were in, the old Cruor lands that he seemed so attached to.

"Are you prepared, though, to trust me with something you consider far more precious?" She didn't elaborate. It wasn't like she was being mysterious either, the subject she was speaking of had been one they covered earlier.

He huffed at her, tail wrapping around his body when she had mimicked his moves, or mirrored. He nodded when she spoke, agreeing with her until her last phrase, tail flicking idly. Hadn't he already trusted her? Hadn't he already shown he was prepared?

He liked the look of curiosity he caught in her eyes. At least she was interested. He smiled at her, tail flicking once more, timing his thoughts and movements. Each flick, he stepped to the side, each flick her mulled over his choices.

"Yes." He mused, stopping his circling. "I do believe I mentioned this before. You though, are you prepared to trust me, as well?"

Lamia considered that. Her first response would have been to wonder what would she trust him with? She never talked about her past because there was never any relevance to it. She had no important people. No secrets, no territory. So what would she be entrusting to Sin, if not secrets?

That tiny spot in her chest fluttered against her ribs, and she actually looked down at her white and red-stained body. So if all she had was herself, did that mean she was trusting Sin with....her? To give him that tiny little point she felt under her brest bone, a place that had never given any indication of life until Sin had arrived? Well, since it was him who'd started the darn thing moving....

Lamia was surprised at how, vulnerable it made her feel, to hand Sin control of something so small that seemed so potent. Would she trust him with it? Could she? "I suppose it would be selfish to ask for trust without giving some back," she drawled, in an almost lazy voice. Then the ghost of a smirk appeared on her lips. "But who said you were the only selfish one here?"

Sin sent a crooked smirk at the vixen, unsure what to make of her comment. She was strange, and yet he welcomed that. He didn’t like not feeling in control, yet she was different. She didn’t anger him, threaten him, or even annoy him. No. She could reject him a hundred times and he’d still float around near her, gently nudging at her and letting his presence known with his sarcastic remarks and cruel jokes. This was new. Sin did not act this way. Needy? No. But he wanted to be near her. He had a desire to protect her, even though he knew deep down inside she didn’t need protecting, and never would. She was a strong woman, more than capable of defending herself. Usually, he wouldn’t bother then. He didn’t protect those that didn’t need it, unless they were his beloved brother or adopted son. However, his desire to protect even something that could protect itself, to curl up beside it and give it and only it his affection, this was something strange, confusing, and even satisfying.

He had once thought he would never care for another this way. There had been girls. Pattoh and Nex. But he had been just a child then. He had not wanted to protect them. Hell, he had wanted to kill Nex at one point. He had accused her of being a witch, accused her of deceiving him with her tricks. And then Pattoh, a woman he had only a shallow desire for. She was strong and that was all he had wanted. Someone strong. They were friends now, good friends even, but he had realized his childish, foolish mistakes with both. Nex was the first woman he had met that snarled at him, and he had thought this was enough. And Pattoh was strong.

Lamia had strength, intelligence, the ability to keep up with him, even surpass him at times, and was equal to Sin in many ways. He found himself eyeing her and thinking idly that she was attractive, a first for the male. He found himself wondering if she would allow just this one touch, or this one nudge. He found himself giving her space and letting her run off, only to wish he hadn’t. He was not needy. He cared. And this both frightened and delighted the male.

”I never said I was the only one,” He lightly hummed, dragging out his last word briefly. ”Though I did not take you to be the selfish type, Lamia.” His smirk softened, and he eyed her now, curious. He was tired of sitting still and rose, resting his head slowly on his shoulder.

”The first vixen to receive a touch that isn’t meant to tear flesh.” He idly remarked, whether to let her know she was special or not, he did not know.

Lamia simply sat there. The tufted portion of her tail flicked once, then slowed moved forward, dragging the rest of the whip-like length, to curl around herself and Sin. "Hmmm, then what were all those others touches before," Lamia asked, the slightest of teasing lilts in her voice. Teasing was all she really knew how to do at this point in a relationship that was supposed to be termed as "serious". Maybe with a bit of time she'd get better at the affection thing, though she highly doubted she'd ever be one for whispering sweet nothings. The mere thought made her suppress a shudder.

Sin smirked to himself when she moved her tail around him, humming in his throat. He didn't respond to her question, she'd understand in time. Instead, he turned to look at her. He'd protect her, and stay beside her until she forced him away. Lamia wasn't running away, wasn't disgusted. A smirk hovered on his lips before he contently pulled her down to lay down beside him, tail flicking slightly.

"So, Lamia, are you content with our hunt?"

For a brief moment Lamia considered rebellion and not allowing Sin to pull her down. After all she didn't let anyone speak or act for her! The thought passed as quickly as it had come. It would be silly, locking her muscles to stay standing when Sin went to lie down, because she probably would have lain down on her own. It was just stubborn pride that Sin made a choice for her than an actual aversion to lying down. She'd rather swallow pride for this small something than act silly by making a big deal of it.

Anyway, she could get him back later. Playful revenge, or at least playful by Lamia's definition.

She turned her mind to the question. "Satisfied? Oh, I could always hunt more." The thrill of the chase, the sweet tang of blood, the power of deciding whether the creature lived (wounded) or died to sustain her. It was an addicting rush, one Lamia had to fight against 'lest she become little more than a mindless beast that lived for bloodlust. "I suppose my hunger is sated at the moment though," she added.

Those empty black eyes flicked over to Sin. "And you?"

Sin shrugged. He wasn't hungry yet, and didn't really feel the need to go and just attack something for fun. Yes, he would enjoy it, but that would only push him back to the monster he was, and he wasn't going back to that. He smirked at her, amused by how she settled down beside him. Next time he'd let her be, let her choose, but at that moment he had wanted to see. Wanted to test if she had accepted him.

His tail flicked side to side, head turning. Finally, he turned to Lamia, head lowering and eyes locking on her.

"Would you like to meet my brother?"

Lamia's shoulders twitched in a small shrug. "I suppose I'll be meeting him at some point. Perhaps it is better you introduced us sooner rather than later to prevent....misunderstandings." On both sides, but she didn't add that thought. Dealing with accusations or paranoia of any kind was outside Lamia's abilities, and usually she just made things worse. In her mind anyone would attack if provoked in the right way, and if Sin's brother did attack her she would defend herself.

While new to relationships, Lamia was pretty sure that attacking a beloved baby brother was not exactly condusive to good karma. Not that she cared what karma thought, but it was an annoyingly interfering force in life.

"Well, it seems he's found us." He mused, the scent of lavender closer. His head turned, tail flicking as he waited for his brother. He was tense, it was unnerving to have your brother meet the vixen you had decided was going to be your.... oh he was not ready to say that word yet. Not until he knew his brother and Lamia got along. Or, just that they didn't kill each other.

His head raised as he heard a faint sigh, black eyes locking with wide, purple ones. A smile flicked on his lip, ears raising.

"Yuki."

User Image He had been searching for his brother after smelling his scent. However, the added scent had worried him. Now, he saw who is was. Some vixen, some white vixen beside his brother.

His brother.

He hid the feeling of jealousy in the back of his mind, however couldn't help but stare at the vixen before turning to Sin.

"Who is this?"

Lamia felt those dark purple eyes on her, and met them squarely with her black ones. Even as the male looked away from her to his brother, she was still watching him.

She was making observations and, though she wasn't sure what for yet, sizing him up. To the uninformed it would be impossible to tell these two were brothers just by looks; they must have taken after their mothers, since there wasn't a single shared common feature.

Sin's brother was easily the slighter of the two. Her well-trained killer's eyes told her that this one would be far easily to tear into with tooth and nail. 'Though,' she thought, eyes drifting down to the lean leg muscles that were still noticable through the dark silver fur, 'he might fare better in a game of tag than his brother.'

Lamia's eyes flicked back towards Sin. He seemed to be both tense and enjoying himself, if the subtle muscle movements around his eyes were anything to go by. He didn't seem to feel he needed to introduce her, so she did it herself.

"I am Lamia," she said, black seeking purple once again. It was odd. Normally she wasn't aware of how emotionless and dead her voice sounded, or the lack of expression on her face. She could feel all that now, as well as the hollow power that her eyes brought with them. It seemed spending time with Sin brought about changes to her; she wasn't sure how she felt about that yet.

Yuki stared at Lamia, tail flicking to the side as his chest heaved. Lamia. She looked like Sin, or what Sin had been. She couldn't be good for him, couldn't be what he wanted. She would only drag him back into his past. She was not healthy. She was not good enough!

'Idiot boy, stop panicking.'

Yuki never liked that inner voice, but it spoke the truth. The runner stared at the two, eyes flicking between them. Together. They were together. Sin was allowing a female to settle beside him. Sin wasn't an idiot..... Sin wasn't going to just let any female...

The man that had trained him how to dodge attacks, how to use his smaller size to win a fight where the rival only knew strength, and the man that had raised him when he ran away..... Had he finally found someone?

He had to fight that desire to reject her. The desire to tell her to get away from him, that she wasn't good enough. Instead, his eyes narrowed, judging her squarely. Her emotionless eyes did not disturb him, they only reminded him of Sin further. Finally, he turned to look at Sin, moving closer.

"Brother, I've mi-"

"Lamia, this is my brother." He cut the male off before he could finish his sentence. He knew Yuki tended to grow jealous easily, and that if he did not find a way for the male to actually acknowledge Lamia than he would go out of his way to pretend she didn't even exist. Yuki could be childish at times.

"Half brother, actually." He smirked when Yuki gave him a sneer, a look that few got away with giving to Sin. Oh, Yuki was not pleased, however he did look at Lamia finally and bowed his head.

"I suppose I should recognize the grimace," Lamia comented, trying (and probably failing) to inject even the smallest bit of humor that she could manage into her voice. Not surprising though, Lamia was a vixen that just didn't have much to do with humor. That was definetly not something that could change overnight.

Her gaze continued to flick to different sections of Yuki's body in turn. She couldn't really think of anything else to comment on. (Small talk was another thing she wasn't well-practiced in.)
PostPosted: Mon Mar 28, 2011 4:28 pm

Yuki caught the stare from Sin, even registered it as a disappointed one. Wait. Him? He was supposed to start a conversation? Wait, Sin did know he only was talkative around Ixen and him, right? His purple eyes locked on Lamia, letting out a loud huff before plopping onto his haunches, having stood up to mess with his bracelets earlier.

Fine. He could impress his brother.

"How'd you two meet?" He grumbled, though his tone lifted at the last word. Maybe he could be civil for once. "I mean, most are afraid of my brother. Not that there should be a reason as to why, but often most misjudge."

Misjudge? Did Yuki not remember what Sin had done to people in the past? Obviously not. Yuki was acting like a mother, interrogating Lamia as if she could be a threat. Hardly. He would not have allowed her so close if she was. Or, maybe it was because she could hurt him that he found interest in her. The feeling that she could, but wouldn't. The feeling that he could as well, but choose not to.

He rested his head on her side, letting Lamia speak, eyes focused on Yuki's body language.

Lamia's eyes narrowed just a touch, the tip of her tail lightly flicking in a manner reminiscent of a cat deciding whether it the subject of it's attention was actually worth the attention.

"A small hunting trip of my own," she said, eyes shifting to the side for a moment to glance at Sin, then back to Yuki. "You could say we "bonded" over killing a pack of hungry wolves." Seemed as good a bonding experience as any.
