Her foot had stopped mid-step. Another. Another half-demon. Like her sisters. A demon. Her cousins. Her mother. But no... he wasn't like her. He at least had not sunk to the level she had. It wasn't there, but she could still smell the blood on here everywhere, a simple trick of her imagination. It was real only to her.

After a moment she peered at him. "You might be better that way... you obviously pass for one better than I do. I think the white hair would give away just about anyone, though. At least here in Gaia they don't know white stands for death... This... really isn't something to be talking about on a festival." sweatdrop

"Sometimes, yes sometimes no. It's not other humans I worry about... more my mothers family, it's from them I have my black hair... " He tails off, thinking for a moment. "death doesn't bother me, not the thought nor execution of it, I was brought up with those unsympathetic too it."

He wondered at her strange expression, her turning away, trying to hide within some pain or trouble. It tugged at him as his own memories did, grasping fingers reaching deep into his past, clawed fingers at that.

"You've done things.. which you regret..." he said uneasily "I won't pry, just know that... those like us sometimes have no other choice, hard decisions must be made and.. " he didn't know what he was trying to say. He simply knew he wanted her to stay, to find out more about her and to allay any fears she might have of him disliking her on the basis of things which he himself had been previously persecuted for.

He had almost forgotten it was valentines and a party, the world had so dissolved into a small space which encapsulated the few in the room. "Maybe.. we could sit, have a drink... you said yourself you weren't fit yet to be able to use your.. mind"

(( XPP!!! *pets him*Good doggy! >D But now, Ishould go. Head hurts terribly,have nothing left to post really, and Ihave school tomorrow~!))

Fae listened, not trying to be rude, but they were just kind of standing there, in the middle of the room, filled with pink hearts, talking about death and demons. Maybe it was just her, but this didn't seem right. "Er..." She blinked, then frowned. Aly was greatly more interested in Syren, but from Syren's looks, they were funny. As if she expected them together or something.

Frowning, she didn't know what to do. Not like Aly had done anything to Fae but the idea of demons never intriuged her either. Turning away, she fought back to say goodnight and headed for the door, nearly running into Lucius who was about to pounce her. "Hey you...perhaps another time we can play," she spoke gentally to the small Aerandir, her tone somewhat depressed. Without even looking back, she left for home.

"My charges? Onuris is about a year, a teenager though... he should be growing soon. He just built a house for himself and his girlfriend... long story, but suffice to say they really are meant for each other. My other is from the fairy land of Tir Na Nog... he's an adult now, though younger than the other. Amazing they turned out so well, really." There had to be something alcoholic here. @_@ She ended up finding a little bottle of something in one of her pouches and downed it. Rubbing alcohol. @__@ Disgusting.

"Did I... interrupt a date?" She watched Fae leaved and wondered for a moment if she really had interrupted something important. Her blundering about and coming here unannounced certainly would ruin a night.

"She seemed upset a bit," she nodded as she downed the whisky... gulped it really without much tasting. Wheee! Whoo hoo! Who needed logic and reason? Ha ha! Everything was so clear now.

"They're tied to my existance," she started to ramble. "When I died Onuris, my older son, he started to fade because I'm what ties him to this world. Aes felt the pain, but since I brought him out of a curse, his life is his own. Kind of strange, being a mother of two boys. It must be weird being a father of a girl. Certain topics are just taboo."

Her mind was starting to whir a little, in ebbs. There was a small period of silence, then one of intense thought, and it continued in this pattern in her mind, so that it seemed hard to concentrate on one notion for too terribly long.

"No no, not a worry. It gives me a bit of joy- to know when I die, no matter when or how, that someone will know. It's selfish, but that is the nature of all things; to be immortalized by their progeny, to be missed and loved, to be noted. He's the sort that will have a family soon, and be missed, and when they miss him they'll note me, and that is how I shall be immortalized." This, again, was rambling. Oh well, no bother. It wasn't really like he was objecting as she talked and the decorations danced around the room. Oh wait, that was just her.

"You ought to know I'll pass out soon at this rate, expending my energy, and then after that I'll be asleep, and when I wake up I will leave to go back to my life, so if you are going to ask, you ought to ask now." She crossed her arms on the table and lowered her head on them.

"Did you want me to stay to talk to you, to fall asleep, and to leave? To disappear again inexplicably from your life? Everyone has a purpose for what they do. You obviously want some sort of connection to someone of your kin, to help ease the pain of past and present... so just ask. Ask where I live, or if I'll come again." She reached forward and propped up his head. The best way to actually come back was to take a memoir of where she was.

He probably wouldn't take too kindly if she just plucked out one of those black hairs, although it would admittedly jog her memory best if she simply snagged one. Not like he needed every single one.
