Rosemary's eyes went from the blueprint, to the paper next to it. Gently taking it from the wall, she started reading it. After she finished, most of it made more sense. She put the paper back and started looking at the other information, though her thoughts remained on Shadow. In a way, she felt bad for him. He must feel the same way she did.
After she had read what she wanted to on the walls, she sat at a chair and was reading the papers scattered on the table. She was slowly understanding the points of Shadow and of her father. And apparently, that information he had taken had been important. I don't care, she thought. I hope then father'll see what a fool he is.

Shadow pulled back, tearing the metal open....There was now a doorway leading to the hallway. Shadow was not longer glowing red.
"Did you just rip through four feet of unpenitrable metal?" Rouge asked, blinking.
"Yes." Shadow replied, walking through. Rouge, bewiled, followed.
They snuck through the building; it was night-time, and the only people up were guards. They were easily knocked out, and Shadow and Rouge were outside the base. Shadow got into a hover vehicle. Rouge sat beside him. "Where are we going?" she asked.
"Anywhere away from here. Oh, and before I forget...." Shadow handed her the diamond. Baffled as to what allowed Shadow to go super, Rouge placed the diamond safely in her shoulderbag. He started the hover vehicle, and they drove off, over the water.
(Convieniently in the direction of Rosemary! 3nodding )

Rosemary sighed and rubbed her eyes wearily. She had been reading these papers for a while now. So much about secret bases, and weapons. Though, there wasn't much on things like Shadow. Though she did find information about other attempted experiments. Though all she had seen was failures. Robots aren't the only thing that suck around here, she thought. Setting the papers she was reading aside, she rested her head on the table, closing her eyes. She wasn't going to fall asleep. She just needed to rest her eyes. But, sure enough, Rosemary had dozed off.

After a while of traveling(with Shadow's slowing down of time)it started getting colder.
"Brrr." Rouge shivered, using her wings like a coat. She looked at Shadow, who had one arm over the back of his chair, the other steering. "How are you not cold?"
Shadow looked at her. "I was created to be resistant to cold and heat." he replied, before returning his gaze to ahead.
Rouge glared. "Hmph. Why don't they bother giving everyone the powers you have?"
"Because you're Genetical Plan 3821, while I'm Genetical Plan 5618."
"Does it make a difference?"
"To scientists, yes."
"Ughhh, I give up."

Rosemary shifted, knocking a stack of papers over. She jolted awake as they hit the ground. With sleepy muttering, she bent down and picked them up. As she was tossing them back on top of the table, she saw an odd looking map. Apparently, it led to another part of the base a way off. She picked it up and studied it. Well, she was awake now. Apparently, this part of the base was underground. She looked around. She wasn't going back to grab her coat. She found an over sized army jacket, a hideous color, but it sufficed. She left the odd building with the map folded up in her hand. She headed off towards the gate and was lucky enough to see it left unguarded. They must have left or were switching shifts. She went through it quickly and unfolded the map, following it until she was in some sort of...clearing? She looked around and swore under her breath. She stood there, bent over the map and trying to figure it out.

(So now she's outside the base? :3)
They left the water, now going into the woods.
"Hey, aren't we close to the enemy base?" Rouge asked, glancing around.
"Your enemy. Not mine. I don't work for them anymore. I'm a free Shadow." Shadow said, driving.

Rosemary let out an irritated sigh. She was lost. She could so tell. "Damn coordinates and map." she muttered. She looked around. Wait, it was undergroung, right? She turned in a circle, looking at the ground. It looked ordinary. She stomped a few times and sighed. "I'm going to do that for a while, aren't I?" she asked herself. She turned in another circle and muttered something about geography. She eve tried flipping the map upside down. That didn't work. She sighed and folded the map up. That was useless. She might as well head back to the base. She turned and headed in a random direction, not sure if she was going in the right direction or not.

Rouge rolled her eyes, then glanced ahead. "Hey, there's the base."
Shadow nodded, his usual one nod. "Maybe I'll see if they have a job open for me...."

After a while, Rosemary was finally able to see the base again. "Stupid map." she muttered, stepping carefully. She saw it wasn't the same area she had started out in but she shrugged. "It's the same base." she murmured. I've got to stop talking to myself, she thought. Glancing around to make sure that nothing odd was going to jump out at her, she continued heading towards her father's base.

(RANDOM CAR ATTACK! Oh, and Rosemary could hear Rouge's shouting and Shadow from 'Guess I took the broken hovercraft in our hurried escape' and onward)
"Shadow, isn't that that girl ahead?" Rouge asked suddenly, spotting Rosemary up ahead.
"So it is."
"We're heading right towards her!"
"So I've noticed."
"Can't you take a hint?! THE BRAKES!"
"They aren't working."
"WHAT?!"
"Guess I took the broken hovercraft in our hurried escape."
"YOU TOOK THE--SHADOW WE'LL KILL HER!"
"Unless you have some master plan, the only other option is to drive into a tree."
"THEN DO THAT!" They were coming up behind Rosemary.
"If you insist." Shadow jerked the wheel in the other direction, making them go into another direction and crash into the tree.
"Okay Rouge, your heart can resume it's normal pacing now." She told herself, jumping out of the broken hovercraft. Shadow was already out, arms crossed. "Wonder if the general's got any spare cars we could borrow?"
Rouge rolled her eyes. "Yeah, borrow." They had forgotten Rosemary was, like, right behind them.

Rosemary's head turned when she heard shouting. Expecting it to be some guards arguing, her sure was shocked to see it was a vehicle heading towards her. Her eyes widened and she let out a shriek as the hovercraft nearly missed her and went instead into a tree. Her heart racing, she turned and looked at the damage. Neither of them seemed hurt or seemed aware that they had nearly killed her. Or so they were acting.
Her mouth gaped open and closed a few times before she asked, in a rather loud voice, "What the hell was that little bit about?"
They seemed too relaxed about it. Maybe it was because they hadn't nearly been run over by a disfunctional hovercraft. She looked at Rouge and then Shadow. "And what are you doing around here again?" she asked, crossing her arms.

Rouge looked over, while Shadow glanced over his shoulder.
"Oh, hello again. Rosemary, was it?"
Shadow nodded as a greeting, unsure of what to call her. They had never really introduced one another properly.

Rosemary nodded. "Yeah, that's my name." she said bluntly. Again, acting casual after nearly murdering her wasn't exactly making Rosemary happy. "Again, what is going on here?" she asked. "Why was I almost run over and why are you around here?"

"Oh, well, Shadow did some odd thing with that diamond I asked you about, and startted glowing red, then totally broke through a four foot thick wall of unpenetrable metal. So then he escaped, and wrongly chose the vehicle with unworking brakes!" Rouge said, glaring at Shadow. "You know, if it hadn't been for me, you wouldn't be standing here right now. He was all for running you over."
"No I wasn't!" Shadow interjected, irritated.
"Yes you were."
"That diamond was the White Pearl. It helped me induce a strong power-up, in terms you'd understand. It's not my fault the military doesn't bother checking their hovercrafts' brakes."
"You know what I just heard? Blah blah blah."

Rosemary sighed. They sounded like annoying siblings! She pressed her thumb and pointer finger to her forehead and said, "Okay then. That's all fine and dandy but please be quiet. It's bad enough I have to avoid my father. I don't need to listen to bickering." She looked at them. "Escaped? Where were you planning on going? Your part bat and your the 'Ultimate Lifeform', no offense to either of you."
