One moment, there was flames, slicing towards them, and PAIN and-
-the next minute Malodore was in the infirmary, and all it culd hear was Luce whining, a desperate grating sound that made its innards twist. "Tresorina..." It sat up, slowly, its skin feeling oddly tight and itchy underneath its bandages and clothing.
Thankfully, the cwn pup seemed to be unsinged; a smell of smoke clung to her fur, but she seemed more concerned with Malodore's own well-being than anything else. She whined and licked at its face.
The plague doctor coughed experimentally. "Ugh..." But... there it was. It still had the pill pressed into its pocket. Fumbling the thing to its beak, it sat back with a sigh of relief as wellness flooded it.
... Was everyone else here? Everyone else had better be here so help it-

There was something about being burned to a crisp, dissipating into particles of FEAR, and shipped full force into a room where each particle once more found it's place and formed the whole, that was unnerving.
She couldn't imagine what.
She couldn't imagine much of anything at the moment, as her whole body screamed out in pain. There was the fact that she'd just been annihilated by dragonfire, but there was also the subtle pain of how she was under a cot, instead of on it - being underwater when she'd been destroyed had somehow messed things up a bit for her.
Every muscle in her body ached - and every bone creaked in threat of breaking again. She barely managed to push the cot off of her, but remained on the floor motionless otherwise. The ceiling was a painful shade of white.
Like snow.
She cringed.
I hate this place.

There was a thumping noise, and Malodore turned in time to see Riley reform ... under a cot. "Riley!" Now re-invigorated from its last pumpkin pill, the plague doctor hurried to her side, crouching and helping to pull the cot aside. "Are you well? Here..." It hurriedly righted the cot and knelt down next to her, trying to figure out the best way to heave her up onto the cot. Not everyone would have had the luxury of a spare pumpkin pill... but the plague doctor was definitely not going out again. No way.

Aksaja woke up screaming, though the sound rather quickly cut off when he realized it was him making that noise. What... what happened? Sitting up a BIT too quickly, the lightning dragon groaned and grabbed his head, flopping back down. Okay okay ... try not to lose the meager contents of your stomach please... ah hell.
Finally, groaning, he managed to turn his head a bit and see who else had been ... fried to bits. Oh... there was Malodore... and Riley... and the drunk Siren too. Plus a few others. Had everyone gotten ... killed... by that thing?
DAMN.

Barth found himself looking at a very familiar tented ceiling.
Here, again. His own fault, again.
No...permanent damage, right? Probably? Hopefully. He winced as he examined himself. In one piece, but not going anywhere anytime soon.
Wait. Wait. Here he was, on a cot, not going anywhere anytime soon. Whatever tension his body might have had dissipated. He should have faked an injury and stayed in the infirmary the whole trip in the first place. This was exactly where he wanted to be.

The only good thing about her current wretched state was that she could tell no bones were broken. Why would they be? She'd just turned to ash and reformed. Everything hurt, more than she'd ever hurt before, but no.. nothing broken. She reached out, barely stifling a groan of pain when Malodore kneeled beside her, and wrapped her arm around it's shoulders. She knew she had to get up, and it was there to help her do just that. She used whatever strength she had left, coupled with Malodore's help, and got to her feet just enough to stumble onto the cot. She remained in a sitting position, but her head swam as if threatening to lose consciousness at any moment.
Mal. Malo- She put one hand to her head and held it to keep it from falling off, for it felt like it would at any minute. It. Hurts. That was all she could seem to get out, and her arm, which slid away from his shoulders, still reached out to hold something, anything. She felt like she was going to float away.

An orb started to manifest over one of the cots. It eventually took on the shape of a dim jack-o-lantern that finally stretched out into Alwine's form.
Her long, green dress had completely remanifested, and Alwine enjoyed the warmth as she decided to follow in Barth's footsteps. She exhaled in a whimper before resting.

"Here..." The plague doctor quickly guided her to the cot, which was really altogether inadequate; who was running this place, anyway?! It was the most inefficient triage operation Malodore had ever seen! Where were the nurses and other doctors? Students were arriving all the time...
The plague doctor squared its shoulders. Well. It was a doctor... technically. By species, true, not by education, but it knew enough for this. "Aksaja... hold still, please - do you need a bucket?" It looked over at the sleepy demon who had materialized shortly thereafter, but that demon seemed very... content to stay where he was. Good.
The ghost girl... "You were right," Malodore muttered in her direction, shuddering at the memory of the mountain-sized beast.
Luce whined and hopped up on the cot next to Riley, laying down and licking at one purple hand.

She was on a cot... The infirmary?
Her whole body ached; she could swear that even her hair ached. The last thing she remembered before she was blasted into FEAR particles was an ominous black cloud, a giant dragon... Fire... Lots of fire... Amrita?! She sat up quickly and yelled in pain when she realized that in her state, she should have just laid still instead and waited for help.
However, seeing on sign of the Undead ghoul around made her feel rather relieved, although the thought of her having to be there alone was rather unnerving... Still, there was no use worrying now; she can't even move properly right now. Slowly, Lizzy laid herself back down, wincing as she did; she never, ever want to return to Christmas for the rest of her life.

Though he didn't trust himself to open his mouth and talk at the moment, the lightning dragon waved a hand quickly in Malodore's direction, squeezing his eyes shut.
Jack, he felt like s**t. And he didn't even have any more pills to take or anything... he just... would rather like to go home at this point.

On one of the cots right in the corner another body materialized, Mandy. Thankfully for ghoul she was still unconscious, a state she seemed to be in a lot lately, but despite this faint whimpers of pain could still be heard from her.
The reason was rather obvious, the ghoul was still faintly smoldering, no open flames but her burns where defiantly not going to be getting better. Briefly her whimpers rose in pitch as the smell of smoke roused her slightly before she slipped back under.

Eventually, Elaphe had dragged himself off of that cheeky Kegan's lap, and eventually, he'd even managed to pass out sleeping on his cot. Sure, it was still cold, and he was still miserable, and he still had that constant jingling annoyance shadowing his every move, but... it wasn't so bad, was it?
After a while, things started to quiet. The hours had passed with little notice as he laid there, as close to content as he COULD be, curled in a tight ball up against Donner's side. For as obnoxious as it (or he?...) was, the sniffling, sneezing, clearly mentally deficient failure of a reigndeer was at least moderately warm, so... therefore, he was resigned to more or less tolerate the creature during his downtime.
The only real problem was the constant jingles and sniffling, sneezing sounds... but in time, even that became a dull kind of white noise for the thoroughly bored, sore, and unfortunate Nguruvilu--
... And then the screaming herd of students started magically appearing again. Joy.
Needless to say, Elaphe was not a happy camper to be woken by Israfel's crying SHRIEKS, letting out a high pitched YELP of his own and nearly almost out of his skin... once again, straight into the snowy ground.
Donner, who seemed completely unsurprised, just jingled curiously and peered over the cot, a very ominous string of rainbow-colored mucus dribbling from his nose-- ... onto the rat's fur down below.
"Jackdamn useless-- H-HEY! Come back!"
Too bad Elaphe couldn't squeak out a proper scold before the Reigndeer promptly climbed down and scampered off to investigate the noisy, discombobulated crowd.

"That wasn't Jingleberry..." Alwine trailed off. "Jingleberry gave us a chance. We... that thing... the ninja was just doing his job."
Alwine didn't move despite the bustling going on.
"I can't move, I'm sorry... I just ... can't move..."

"You don't have to move," Malodore quickly reassured the ghost ghoul. "Just lie there and rest. I'm going to get some better blankets. Perhaps some good eye of newt soup." If it could find any newts.
The plague doctor nodded to Aksaja, then paused. It still had its bell... but it was beginning to crack. It estimated perhaps three uses left of the thing, and there were far more than three needy here... who should it choose to heal?
Another horrified scream drew its attention, and it nodded over to the pink-haired ghoul. "You're safe. I promise, you're safe." Oh, they'd better be.

With her eyes still closed, Riley couldn't see who was materializing where. She was trying, very hard, to stay sitting up. It was better this way, she convinced herself, even as she teetered dangerously to one side. Falling asleep was dangerous right now. She was sure.
Mmm, what was that comfortable softness on her hand? She turned her fingers up to brush against Luce gently, even as she licked her. Her soft pelt reminded her of pillows. Oh, there was a pillow down there, and it was getting closer. How lovely.
She let out a soft groan as her head hit the tiny pillow of the ragged cot, which bounced in reaction to her drop. Her other hand slipped from it's hold on Malodore's sleeve, but the instant she could no longer feel that comforting assurance of it's presence, her eyes opened.
Are you okay?, she automatically asked. It felt silly to be asking it about its well being when she was clearly a mess, and it was standing fit beside her.
