Aksaja sat up with a little groan, rubbing at his head. What the hell..? Where were they? Clamoring up to his feet, the lightning dragon looked around - and then his attention was caught by the singing and rhyming somewhere near the front of the group. He pushed through a few students so he could hear what was going on ... then tilted head slightly. A raid, hmm? On this 'Christmas Town' place? Well, all right but he wasn't about to go putting his own hide in danger without some allies.

First, though, a weapon. He eyed the array of things set out in front of them, and then reached out to pick up an Extreme Snowball Launcher 5000. It looked pretty cool, and larger things typically did more damage, right? He quickly snatched up a tent and a couple of funny-looking pills too ... then started peering about for those who might make good allies. Better find someone with one of those bells, just in case...

But that was about when the gnomes started herding everyone back to their previous groups. Oh wonderful. Well... he seemed to recall there'd been a few competent-looking people in his car...

When Alcyone drew nearer, Gabrian hisses slightly, then snorted. He was obviously not in the best of moods, though it didn't seem to be directed at any of the girls, but rather at the world around him, "My head hurts. And it's extremely cold, but I'll live," he made emphasis on his words by coiling his body around so that he could preserve body heat - while a little cold didn't usually bother him... artic temperatures sure as hell did. He was used to warmer climates and the low temperatures were making him moody, as was the fact he was unable to control his shifting.

"Yes... it was a good violin and it shall be sorely missed. Alas..." He turned his head to look at the place where he'd dropped the violin, finding it was gone. He blinked once, twice and slithered over to check the wreckage, "I was so sure I'd dropped it here... huh," he had missed Johan picking it up.

The call of his name made him turn away from the wrecked train, and the nix arched his body up in the air so he could scan the crowd. The fins that adorned the side of his head acted almost like ears, seeing as how they twitched and fanned out until his gaze fell upon Iolanthe, "I'm cold," he hissed at his sister, "My violin is broken, and now missing, and I keep shifting forms without wanting too. Also, I have a splitting headache," of course, given the fact he had enough energy to b***h and moan, then it was probable he was alright, for the most part. Summing up his status, Gabrian was moody, upset, cold, and he'd lost most of his cool; it was obvious he was having trouble regaining his usual polite, almost laid back status, "I'll live," he added later with a grump, mostly because he didn't want his sister to worry. He knew she did, even if she rarely allowed herself to show it, "You?" a pause, followed by a snort, "I didn't think you'd be hurt. Takes more than that to take you out. Specially if it didn't take me out."

"What? Oh, well, somewhere, actually..."

Barth retrieved a black crayon from his pocket, which had been distributed to him during the train ride. He also had a few peppermint points, (which he now assumed were military rations) and a cat/sheep somewhere (probably dead, or free, but he couldn't be bothered looking for them).

He handed Christof the crayon.

"What happened with your, err," he gestured vaguely towards the leg.

Amrita seemed a bit shocked or something, but he had grown used to her being in such a way, so when he heard someone speaking to him, he straightened up to see who it was. A pleased smile showed on his face when he saw Lizzy and he bowed politely too her. 'Pleasure to see you as well! I hope you weren't injured in the train crash." How many students had been on the train? Looking her over, he seemed please to see she seemed reasonably unharmed. He only hoped he didn't look too bad in front of someone else who was fashionable. It would be rather embarrassing.

He then looked around and truly took note of all the students that were around; some in-between forms or fully formed or humanoid. It made him feel a bit uneasy but he kept that to himself. "Prepared to raid Christmas Town?"

West remained uncharacteristically silent as Riley and the plague doctor conversed, instead devoting all of his stunted attention to munching on frogs. He had been seconds away from getting up to demand some more soup when a panicked voice had sounded over the icky-com.

A crash? Well, that was going to suck.

Doing as he was told for once, West braced himself on the back of the seat in front of him. He turned slightly to look out the window, trying to get some sort of clue as to where they were, and then--

--he was waking up, his head bleeding again from the cut he had obtained during the reindeer fight. The blood seeping into his eye caused his vision on that side to run red for a few seconds before he blinked, but he was up and out of the train car before any of the 'doctor' gnomes could drag him off.

He approached the gathering crowd just in time to hear the tail end of Hellma's song and her orders. He might have even heard bits and pieces of the gnome's speech, but those bits were interspersed with elf-pummeling fantasies.

And those things! Weapons! His eyes lit up as he tried to grab them all, only to have his hand slapped by another gnome, this one decidedly more peevish than the first. One weapon then. He could handle that.

West scooped up a backpack and the gloriousness that was the EXTREME SNOWBALL LAUNCHER 5000, then turned to start making his way into the forest. Those happy JOYful bastards weren't going to wait forever to have their asses handed to them, right? His plans for elf domination were thwarted, however, when he was shuffled back into the collection of students he had been with on the train. He caught sight of Yaya as he rejoined the group, waving his new weapon of mass destruction at her and grinning toothily. Killing! Yay!

Last time there had only been darkness, this time there had been a warning. That had made it all infinitely worse.

Knowing not much else besides some gnome screaming over the intercom that their train was headed for a swift doom, Belladonna had grabbed onto two things simultaneously, Jack and her seat. Apparently it wasn't enough because now she lying in the snow and more of it was coming down and her having laid there so long that parts of her were covered in the white stuff. With a gasp she sat up, dislodging giant chunks of snow from herself and looked around. Students were talking and students were missing and they were being told to battle. They were being told to battle JOY.

Moisture touched her face and Belladonna's hand slapped it away, realizing with a great deal of embarrassment that it was from her own tears. She had promised not to cry this time, no matter what and here she was sitting in the jack damned snow, crying like a little baby witchling.

Jack!!...............BRAUM. With such a forceful thought the witch was on her feet, taking a step and falling into the snow again, this time onto her knees. Alwine, Barth, Kasumi, Rain, Mandyohthatchocolatewasgood, Krumm Car!!
Now she was still on her knees, fighting the snow and loosing (heels don't make for great snow shoes), but her eyes whipping around to see if she could spot anyone. And rather quickly she did. Bartholomew was speaking to a boy with a hump, Rain was digging some sort of snow into a bag and... Oh goodness, there was Yaya! And, was she calling for Belladonna?? Curiosity bit at the witch and she began the slow trudge to the ghoul, casting her eyes aside as she searched for her friends.

"Yaya!" Belladonna called, catching the girl's attention in time for Yaya to watch as the witch fell back into the snow. This was going to be fun.

A feeling of relief washed over her as she confirmed that Gabe was actually as unharmed as he looked, and it was easier to settle back into her normal self once she could stop worrying about him. Well, mostly worrying about him - he was switching uncontrollably between forms, stuck currently in a water-based form, and.. he'd broken his violin. That last bit seemed to make her particularly grumpy.

"Well, you know me," she managed a smirking half-smile at Gabrian's compliments, but it faded quickly as the shooting pain in her head reminded her there was nothing to be smiling about. "I think I hit my head on something, though I don't remember what. I've got a nasty bump swelling up." She reached up with her hand to motion towards the swelling goose egg not-quite-dead-center on her forehead, making damned sure not to actually touch it. Her hair half covered it, probably because she didn't actually want anyone to see the imperfection on her face. "It hurts like you wouldn't believe."

Behind her somewhere she heard gnomes beginning to shuttle other students in one direction or another and she grimaced as she heard one in particular calling for the Ickis car students. "Great," she breathed under her breath, then reached for the zipper on the backpack she had been lugging around. Inside she saw what looked like the tools for a tent, some pumpkin pills (she really had to resist popping one of those the moment she saw them) and.. a bag of trinkets? Sometimes she wondered about these gnomes.

She rezipped it and flung it over her shoulder, then looked at Gabrian seriously. "I guess we're getting separated again, just do me a favor and try not to get yourself killed okay?" She was obviously worried, especially since they were being outfitted with weapons. The pair had never done much of anything without the other and she was used to looking after him when he needed her. Now she'd really have to be strong by putting her faith in him and hope he didn't royally screw things up without her around. "I'll find you if there's a place for us to meet up again between here and.. wherever."

She pulled the backpack's straps tighter to her body, like it was her only real support right now, then waved a hand at Gabrian and the group of students she hadn't bothered to take the time to get to know. Then she turned away and headed off in the direction the rest of her car was shuffling towards.

No surprise, the train had crashed and Lucien had landed on his head. It was only a miracle that because things always fell on his head or had things fall on his head that he wasn't injured in the crash. Of course, it gave him a nasty little ache in his head that was not the least bit made better by the sound of... Hellma. He couldn't even finish that thought. All he could think was: why is Hellma singing and where is Israfel?

It didn't take long before his worry about Israfel took over and Hellma singing was no longer taking presence in the air elemental's head. He had been seated right beside him before the train crashed, shouldn't he be nearby? Dread. Dread passed through Lucien's head. What if Israfel had become roasted turkey or fried chicken!?

Interrupted again. His thoughts were displaced as: A RAID ON CHRISTMAS TOWN! FEH! slammed into poor Lucien's head. Why was Hellma doing this to him? He could only imagine the professor took a sick and twisted pleasure in causing students misery. He didn't have time for this, he had to make sure his little bird was not tonight's dinner. He suffered through all the talking and explaining, barely listening at all until it finally stopped.

A little too pleased when all the talk was over, Lucien grabbed what was assigned to him and then grabbed the first weapon that caught his attention: Tangled Christmas Lights. They were shiny, and bright and did the job of distracting Lucien very well had he really looked at them but he didn't. He just grabbed the colourful thing he seen in the corner of his eye and rushed off to try and find Israfel, or some fried chicken.

He had almost been as surprised as she was when she looked back at him. "Yes, you," he responded, grinning at the were lemur. "Thought that maybe we could team up for a bit."

She definitely had the brawn for this sort of assignment, and while he wasn't the most useful, he was at least willing.

It didn't feel right to be offering to hang with her without being introduced, even if he was fairly certain that he had heard her name on the train, but he knew that he hadn't given his name out to anyone. Things kept getting interrupted."My name's Ilztmyr'ree, but you can call me Myr. I know my name's a bit of a mouthful."

Laiha listened to the tiny professor speak, eyes narrowing. Something seemed too right about raiding a joyful town for loot! Ah, and how delicious all the joy would be! Oh well. Her anger at not being able to CONSUME her enemies would be taken out on them with teeth and angry hands. All things being considered, her mangling jaws were probably a more likely contender than a Christmas wreath, and so she went the safe route with a ring of Christmas bells. They reminded her of her new shiny, and she wanted to survive to see as much carnage as was possible. Perhaps she should have been kinder to the people in her car? It seemed she would be fighting with them! Perhaps she would have to go it alone...

Her first introduction! It felt great to finally know someone's name--to have concious knowledge, at least. Turning full tail and settling on the heels of her feet (bum hovering over the snow) Natalia made a purring sound that was followed up by a high pitched squeak; or high pitched comparable to how low her voice had become. How...odd.

Placing the sack beside her, the were-lemur extended a hand out toward Myr with an awkward looking, yet visibly benign expression on her face. "I am Natalia. Pleased-ur...pleasure, yus pleasure to meets you!" Waiting for the shake, which may have looked just as unslightly as her grin, the monster noticed the tent materials in his hand and rose a brow questionably. Had she really forgotten something?

That would have been terrible! To go without a tent, of which she guessed would be vital for their survival on this mission...and speaking of missions, Natalia was desperate to embark on the one set out for them already. Bringing her hand back toward her side without giving the boy more then a moment to grip it, the were-monster started to run toward the supplies on all fours...before remembering she had forgotten her sack. Not wanting it to but put away and seen as unused, the lemur clamored back and retrieved it.

Only to THEN gather up the necessary items. Looking to Myr, who was now as much a friend as any could claim to be with the ghoul, her lips parted for quick speech. "Come, Myr come! I protect yous." And with that she took her supplies and threw them onto her back, offering to take his as well before following the Gnome guide of the Oblina Cart. "There is much to be squashed in the forest! Much!" She did not forget about the boy Haku and his motley crew, or at least the few she could see that surrounded him in what SHE believed was a certain loyalty and following. What Natalia hoped was that they would take to her side much like Myr and together defeat the wilderness…

And Santy Claus…And get the 'toys'...

"Augh.." Her back ached, it was cold, and this was not what Colette was hoping for. As soon as she realized she was planted into a pile of snow, the Reaper sat up and felt around frantically for her swords. She'd raise hell if she lost them, it would not be good at all. Fortunately, she heard familiar growls and whipped around to find them floating right there, "Oh thank Jack!" Colette sighed in relief while grabbing them desperately and tucked them against her back, shivering as soon as they touched her skin. "Oh my gosh! You two are freezing," she was happy to have them warm within her jacket though, and their coos let her know they were thankful.

Once Colette heard a familiar voice, she waved her arm around and called out to Rain, "Oh, I'm fine!" She had no idea if she even saw her, but hopefully the flailing arm helped somewhat. She was more interested in the group of students listening to instruction and scurried over, maybe she could even find someone from the Krumm car.

Colette was utterly annoyed after she found out what was next. She thought they were on a field trip to somewhere fun, at least educational, but all it seemed to her was that the headmistress was too lazy to do something on her own - and they were sent up to do it. The train crashed for crying out loud, and now they have to trek on their own to get she-didn't-even-know-what without a rest! Nothing but a sigh came out as she took it all in and realized there wasn't anything else to do either, she certainly wouldn't sit around in a lump anyway. Ultimately, hanging on to a little hope in this entire trip, she agreed to do what was asked. Maybe whatever was at that X was extremely crucial to Halloween Town as a whole. Or some sort of treasure! It had to be interesting if the headmistress wanted it.

She packed the pills into her bag and grabbed a tent, but scoffed heavily at the mention of weapons. I do not need those! She had her own two, and they were the candied-apple of her eye. Those things would just be more to carry on top of her own bag and tent anyway! Instead, she grabbed the Carol of the Bells and tossed it in her bag.

The Reaper started to head towards the exit when she realized that she was about to go into an unknown (to her anyway) area alone.. to face unknown forces. The thought scratched at her, and although she wouldn't admit it to any regular old ghoul or boil, she was a tad scared. Colette lingered, hoping to find someone to drag with her, or at least get invited along with. She worried though, she did not want to get stuck with someone that might put her life at risk. Or a big group, that would not go well with her.. she needed to move, and lots of people would just slow her down. The sad thing is Colette probably wouldn't have the heart to say no if such an offer arose. She knew she could probably trust someone from Krumm and scanned around, eyes flicking from one student to another and a particularly crude group of gnomes writing their name in the snow.

(( Alessa will be spontaneously shifting as a result of all the happy Christmas feelings, yaaaay. And she chooses the Christmas Wreath. ))

Alessa hissed, bringing a bit of air through clenched teeth as she lifted her fingers to her head. Ouch, bad idea, that hurt worse. What the Jack had happened? The train had...crashed? Great. Just great. "This is why I hate trains," she grumbled to herself, trying to move her sore body in the snow...how did she even get outside the Jack damn train? You know what, she didn't want to know. She pushed herself up, slowly standing and brushing flakes of white off her clothes. It was cold. Really cold. The only place she really felt it was her legs, though. She should have worn a longer skirt.

After listening to the whole odd lecture about why they were here and what they were doing, which seemed odd to her considering they all had just crashed and were probably full of concussions, she went over to get a 'weapon'. After some inspection she took the Christmas Wreath and went to look for the rest of her car. She wasn't really sure what to think of the fact that they'd be fighting, but at least she knew how to do a few things on her own. Her fear wasn't offensive anyway, plus she wasn't terribly fond of it, so to have it disabled was just a minor setback. It would be a pain not to be able to shift though-

"Eeep!" She squeaked and clasped her hands over her bottom, feeling the familiar twitch of a tail. Okay, so yes it was prone to shifting into being when she was happy but...this was definitely not the case. It was completely involuntary and what's worse is she couldn't seem to...make it go away like she normally could. She sighed, taking her hands away and trying to look over her shoulder to assess the damage, "You've got to be kidding me..." It looked terribly odd, a little twitchy thing poking her skirt up a tad. How embarrassing.

Alessa did her best to ignore it, moving through her fellow students in search of those from her car. She thought she saw them a little ways away when she blinked and had to stop. There was an all too familiar serpent on the ground looking rather grumpier than she'd ever seen him before. Before she could stop herself the words were out of her mouth, "You too, hu?" Okay, well hers wasn't that bad right now. No, scratch that, she'd preferred to have been a rabbit right now.
PostPosted: Wed Dec 15, 2010 1:50 pm

Gabrian managed a smirk, even in serpent form when he noticed how relieved his sister looked once she had managed to ensure he was perfectly safe, "Yes, yes I do," he hissed as he arched himself up in the air again, taking a moment to look at her, as if he could somehow determine how bad her injury was, "Well," he drawled once he decided that having no arms really incapaciated his ability to pull her hair away to look, "You're not the only one that hit her head. And I think I know just how much it hurts; splitting headace on my part, remember?" that said, he lowered himself back on the ground and let out a long sigh.

He really didn't want to be here; it was cold, and a large portion of his body was touching the damned snow. It was most uncomfortable and he did not appreciate it, "I will most certain TRY not to get myself killed," the serpent rolled his eyes slightly and then turned his attention back on Alcyone and Junko, "Should we get going, maybe? The sooner we get out of here, the sooner everything will be set back to it's proper place," a pause, and a shudder followed, "Jack, it's cold," unfortunately, his snake form was probably much too large for him to be able to hitch a ride on someone else. Woe!

Just as Gabrian had been about ready to turn around and head off towards the gnome that was calling from the Gromble car students, he heard a familiar voice, and he pause, turning his head towards it. He scowled when all he saw, from his place on the ground, was... a pair or shoes. So thus, he slid his gaze heavenward, only to be rewarded with a view of... well, let's just say he had a clear view of Alessa's peculiar tail-induced problems from his position. He couldn't help but smirk, part of his bad mood gone, "My, my Alessa," he drawled out, "I'm sure I have no idea what you're talking about," that said, the serpent turned away from the rabbit girl and began to slither away, pausing only momentarily to turn his head towards her, "Unless you're talking about the way this whole shifting problem affects you. Lovely little tail, my dear. Didn't know you could do that," once that little gem was tossed in her direction, he moved swiftly away and hopefully out of reach.

The last thing Sin remembered was the shout of panic, then the train was crashing, everyone was holding on for dear life. Her heavy chest full of clothes fell and opened piling her in designer clothes and the things she had packed. There was the sound of tinkling broken glass and then her word went black. She woke with a wince and tried to wriggle out from under her heavy luggage swearing and promising never to pack so much again. As she wriggled her kimono started to wriggle off too. She growled in frustration and quickly grabbed a random dress wrapping it around herself. She tugged an outfit out of the mess and quickly changed hoping she wasn't flashing everyone.

She huffed and crawled away from the train a bit before standing up and looking around. She was going to file some serious complaints against the train. Then she saw everyone looking as confused as she felt and then she heard Hellma. Her head was still swimming though so she only caught something about storming Sandy Claws. Okay, more fighting seriously? She took a few dazed steps in the snow and touched her eyes with a wince. She gasped and felt around then realized her mirror was gone. For the love of jack she felt like she had a black eye and her head throbbed. Still she was standing and battle ready and that seemed all that really mattered.

Finally she looked up and around worried most about those who had been nearest her. "Alcie? Junko? Gabrian? Faint?" The rubbed her temples feeling her headache slowly recede. The ice cold snow was helping shock her awake. She stumbled forward a bit and then quickly managed to recover and stride over to grab a tent, the pills, and...she grabbed the bells. She was tired of using weapons without any experience, if she had to fight she wanted to way to heal herself and her team.

She rolled her shoulders back and then turned and relaxed when she saw Alcyone, Junko, and Gabrian, they looked alright...except...oh dear Gabrian suddenly went all serpentine. She blinked and then decided to just try and walk this headache off. Alcyone and Junko were safe and she really wasn't sure she could hold up a conversation with either of them for a little while anyway. She gripped the bells in her hand and slung the tend back over her shoulder with a mild scowl. Physical labor, a crash, no food...could this trip get any worse? She couldn't wait to find something and unleash her annoyance on it. The creatures of christmas had better watch out Sin was in a very bad mood.
