(I meant an area of silence extending 5 feet out from his location. He could leave if he wanted. Guess I didn't make that clear, sorry...) Abdiel Piros Aka Raudona Vermell"I didn't know Dispel Magic came in potions! Is that even possible?" Abdiel assumes a pondering position, one hand on his chin, the other stroking the feather on his hat. He calmed down a bit. "In any case, sorry about that. If you don't like silenced areas, you must cast some sort of magic. I understand completely. Those dang beholder/oddeye/whatevers keep on silencing me too. However... He raises his head dramatically. "Silent Spell says I get the last laugh in those cases! ... For people who want to go to town, you don't seem to be in a hurry, people! Let's just go. Talking is a free action! It won't slow you down!"

Given that the red haired mage had so far made no sense at all, even in the slightest, besides random words mingled that the freelancing man could understand, Ayre trembled with frustration. "Please! Your insanity wears on me greatly! Do be silent, so I don't have to cram something down your throat! Otherwise, speak words we can all understand!" Ayre yelled his frustration into the face of Mr. Red. He was about to unleash magic on this strange man to silence him. He just didn't make any sense at all. "I would rather you had said you were drunk." He tacked on, clenched fists stuffed in his pockets. "I always carry water on me, mostly to displace the headache of a good drink the following morning." He explained, tossing a flask to Eloysio. "Perhaps we can all find a town, as the crazy one suggests. Do you have a direction, your Madness?"/Abdiel Piros Aka Raudona Vermell gained the title: Mad as a Hatter? Please sit down? Care for some TEA!(Sorry for no pretty colors for talking. Its a chore every time to do. D : )

Abdiel Piros Aka Raudona Vermell"I've been told I'm in a sort of permanent state of drunkenness. I disagree. I just live in a world of my own! No, seriously. If you take a ship and fly into space, you'll see the planet of my mind eventually! It's called 'the sun'. You may have heard of it!" Abdiel strikes a dramatic pose again, looking up at the sky. "Wait a second, that's not my personal planet! That confirms it- We're not on the world I'm from. My Intuit Direction and Survival skills won't do a bit of good to get us un-lost, and how can I use magic to find a town if I don't know this world? ...I thought that portal looked sketchy! So I suggest doing the best thing we can do at the moment that my brilliant mind can think of-Just start walking... And have some tea while we're about it." He pulls a red-colored tea set out of his robe and begins sipping from a cup, not bothering with the fancy setup. "Hold on, you can have this. I have something else for myself..." With no visible gestures from him, the tea starts levitating at the others. Meanwhile, Abdiel grabs a clear bottle filled with a translucent red liquid and starts drinking, then points in a random direction. "What say you to going that way?"

This was too much for Ayre, whose short temper had run out. "N-Now your just messing with us!" The angered freelancer barked in the mages face, fingertips cracking with electricity. Space? Ships? Having gone to the Sun? This man was mad, and Ayre would be rid of his blather! Pent up anger blinding the man, Ayre quickly drew a hand in Abdiel's direction. "Recognize the coursing power of Volt! Lightning!" He chanted, a bolt bursting from his fingers, to simply ark around and completely miss, almost coming back towards Ayre. Embarrassed, Ayre kept his hand aimed at the red mage, balking how the missed spell. The scorch mark at his feet was worse. His own spell had not only failed, but it had nearly backfired on him. Shock and embarrassment froze Ayre where he stood, the realization that he had gone as far as to blast a spell at the crazy man dawning on him suddenly.

~Yulia City~ Rief was still blushing with uncertainty, given what had happened earlier. Though he knew there was virtually no chance of it happening, he still hoped that lady who had become startled at the sight of his Mercury Djinn hadn't told of what she had seen. He didn't want to end up scaring off another person. This "Locriean Sargent Grants" didn't look or sound any threatening, which at least made him calm down a bit. He nodded at her request. "U-um, yes ma'am. Is there anything I need to do?"Still waiting in her room, Azriel moved to the window and stared at the city scenery. It was unlike any she had seen before---she got the feeling it was a "grand" city indeed, but it was nothing similar to the likes of Meltokio or Altamira. She couldn't fathom why she was thinking this, but she got the idea that Yulia City seemed more "advanced". Putting a hand to the glass, she spoke softly to her inner selves, "Come to think of it...something feels different about the air here, doesn't it? I don't know how to explain it, though..." Her light and dark sides only stared at each other with bewilderment and uncertainty, unable to come up with an answer for her.~Rugnica Plains~ Eloysio was slightly startled as he heard a new voice and the red mage drew his attention to Adachi. He had not noticed that man there before. Before he could react, he became equally startled that the green-haired boy had suddenly thrown something at him, but he caught the flask in time. "Ah, thank you..." he replied, as he opened it up and tipped his head back a bit so as to just pour the water into his mouth. Drawing the container away from his face for a moment, he looked over at the man in the suit and tie. "Apologies, I hadn't seen you there before. Where did you come from?" His attention focused on Adachi, Abdiel's blather was reduced to background noise. Though to add to his confusion, he suddenly found a teacup levitating in his direction, by way of this nonsensical madman using a similar power to his. Intriguing, he had run into another telekinetic, but the questions would have to come after he was through conversing with this face that was new to him. Eloysio could notice that Ayre had just about run out of patience with the red-clad mage, watching what was unfolding from the corner of his eye as he waited for a response from Adachi. He sensed the young man drawing in the power of lightning, with the intent to strike Abdiel. Slightly jolting, startled by the misfired spell, he turned his head toward Ayre to ask, "I may not be as unnerved as you are, but was that really necessary?"((I have to admit, I'm finding it tricky to respond to things in a way that just flows right, what with Abdiel doing such random things. sweatdrop ))

(Sorry, Azura... He can be quite discombobulating. But he's kind of fun to RP...) Abdiel Piros Aka Raudona VermellUpon hearing the commotion and something about lightning, Abdiel turned around to face the group once more. "Yo, are you people okay? Not trying to zap this nice scolarly man, are you? That's not very nice. By the way, if you don't want the tea, just say so. I can save that, no problem. Abdiel suddenly lifts his eyebrows in a shocked expression, then has a sweatdrop moment of his own. "Suddenly I find myself hoping you're not a random encounter. That's never really a good sign. Ahem... As I was saying... What say you to going that way until we reach a town, or perhaps some other type of settlement?" He points in the same direction again.

Mr. Red knew how to just press that button over and over. The anger that had faded from Ayre after loosing the bolt was replaced by an entirely new one. The nerve, to just ignorantly ignore the attack, and then continue rambling on! "I don't know who cracked you on the head too hard, but I'm gonna finish opening your skull if you do not cease that crazy babble!" He yelled, stomping his foot to release the frustration of the loon's talking. It was like he was narrating something, or perhaps treating this like it were not reality. Was he lost in his own little crazy world? Ayre could hardly tolerate the splitting headache that this man had caused. Just making even slight sense of what he was saying ground on Ayre's already short fuse. "This man is crazy. Rather then kill him, I think we should try to go the other way!" Ayre demanded, trying to cool off. He was tempted to loose another Lightning spell against Abdiel, the spell crackling electricity at his finger tips. He could almost hear himself uttering the spell and blasting the odd mage into a nearby tree. Why were magic users so prone to insanity?!(Ayre has a super short fuse, and hates confusion. X D Thats why he is being so explosive about Abdiel's way of speaking.)

Abdiel Piros Aka Raudona Vermell"I'm not crazy! Just delusional.~ But seriously, calm down a little. Don't be a hater, now. If you truly think I'm crazily babbling, then let's make a deal: You let me come with you, because no spellcaster should be without a party, and I shall put an area of silence around myself until we reach a town or the situation demands that I dismiss it. Also, I won't use the writing loophole! I'm not very eager to silence my beautiful voice, even temporarily, but I will if I must. By the way..." Abdiel casts a spell of illusion to create a silent image of himself. "As a sign of goodwill, you may take a potshot at that extremely handsome illusion! Indeed, lightning is allowed and even encouraged in this case!" With that said, Abdiel turns around and casts some sort of spell on himself. However, it's not the silence yet, but a yellow glowing spell. "See? I do have some sane moments once in a while!"

Eloysio blinked in surprise at Adachi's answer, turning his attention back to him. That was two people so far, from places he had never heard of. He was beginning to think that some sort of anomaly pulled him and such people here, and yet the idea still sounded so farfetched. He was about to ask a couple more questions, but was interrupted by Ayre's demanding. And he would have answered, if not for Abdiel speaking up again. At least he was starting to make some semblance of sense. Eloysio scratched his head for a bit, then nodded at the two. "Now, to finally settle this, after all that is over with, we shall all go in the direction the green-haired lad proposes as a party, as there is safety in numbers. As long as you simmer down there, eh..." He began to frown with slight embarrassment. "...I don't believe I caught your name very well. And if we shall be traveling together, even if it is for a short time, it would be in best interest to know each other's names, would it not? It's only fair now that the fellow in the back introduced himself as Adachi. As for myself, I'm Eloysio Donovan." He made a slight formal bow before everyone. ((After these characters get their issues sorted out, I'm thinking of getting this little rabble found out by the soldiers already. )) Blaze had been walking for quite some time now, with nothing but miles of grassland all around in sight. But as she saw a couple of moving figures in the distance, she thought her luck was about to change. She took only a few steps forward to get a clearer view while hoping to stay out of their line of sight. By the shapes of their figures, Blaze determined that they were unlike her kind of people. Identifying them as human, she began to feel apprehensive---the last couple of humans she faced were Dr. Eggman and Eggman Nega. But though that uneasiness lingered, she tried to think logically---those two surely can't be representative of all humans. Deciding to take her chances, going with all that was being presented to her right now, Blaze picked up her step and attempted to approach the men. "Excuse me!" she called out, waving a hand, "Excuse me!" Right now, they were her only ticket to truly knowing where she was right now. Unbeknownst to her, they were soldiers of the Malkuth Military, and they weren't any familiar with her kind. At all. ((I intend on continuing this in the next post, but Heather (or anyone else), if you can think of a better way these soldiers would react to Blaze's appearance, then go right ahead. ))

Ayre frowned, though the Redcloak seemed to have a fairly human response. "I accept those terms." He said, having already calmed down after venting frustration in demands. The blonde man off to the side proposed they ally and stop bickering, or at least that was the gist Ayre caught. "Lead the way, Red." Ayre said, crossing his arms defiantly. As long as they got to a town, he was happy. As long as noe freak thunderstorms occurred, he was happy. As long as he could get a decent meal when they got to a town, Ayre would be happy. "My name is Ayre Stilge. I'm just a freelancer." Ayre explained, starting after Abdiel in a brisk pace.

Abdiel Piros Aka Raudona VermellAfter dismissing the illusion, which no one seemed to be taking advantage of, Abdiel spoke. "Yo, Ayre! I would introduce myself, but I already did and shouldn't wear out my awesome name.~ Anyway... SUPER MAD EXEMPLAR PARAGON POWERS OF EXCELLENCE, ACTIVATE! Isn't that co-" Before he could finish complimenting himself, his silence spell took effect in a slightly shimmering, cylindrical radius of silence around himself. "-.., ...? . .. .. .......!" Abdiel looked quite pleased with his effective spell. With that- ahem- said, he continued in the proposed random direction, bottle of punch in hand. He kept his lightning protection spell (for that is what the unknown spell was) up. Just in case.

Rugnica Plains. There were several things wrong with the picture that the mercenary had opened his eyes to. First of all, he was not sitting in his office chair with a magazine tossed over his eyes lazily to keep the sunlight out. The bright, morning sun was beginning to bother his uncovered eyes. Second. The deadliest snake in the world was laying on his lap. He knew he would die if she woke up now.
Gently, Dante rolled the woman off of him. She was still out cold, but he didn't find that surprising. lady was human, and he wasn't. She was weaker than him physically so she took longer to recover. It was a fact of nature.
Laying in the grass a few feet away from Dante was a guitar case. He hadn't taken Rebellion out of it this morning when he had returned to the shop. It also didn't surprise him that the sword had followed him to wherever the hell he was now. Figuring out where that was would have to wait a bit.
In the distance, Dante could sense something living approaching. His attention shifted back to lady. She would be a liability to him if she didn't wake up. Shaking her gently, he called out her names a few times to get her to stir. After a few minutes of this, she did not move. With the life force still approaching, he did the only thing he could do. He undid the strap on the large wrapped cylinder on Lady's back and affixed it to his own. The weight of Kalina Ann wouldn't slow him down as much as it would her. He gently picked the light woman up and tossed her over his free shoulder.
Rebellion's guitar case had no shoulder strap. Dante had long forgotten what the hell happened to it. He grabbed it by the soft, fabric handles and slung it on his shoulder. Over all, he looked like a moron carrying that much equipment. His appearance wouldn't matter to much if he were dead though. His free hand slipped inside of his jacket, and seized something metal. If it came to it, this would be more than enough.
The approaching life force came into view, and Dante discovered a group of oddly dressed people moving towards him. Although they looked like a bunch of morons, they were human. Something which caused him to let go of the trigger.
In all, there were about six people that had just entered the clearing besides Dante and Lady. The one in the center of the group seemed to be in charge, Dante supposed, because his helm was shaped more elegantly and his clothing was different. That soldier was also the one to speak.
"What are you two doing out here?"
Dante blinked, as his emotionless eyes stared at the Malkuth soldier for a few minutes. They were openly carrying weapons. Which meant they weren't afraid to use them. Though they were probably no match for Dante, he didn't want to cause a fuss. He decided to behave. For now.
"Oh, You know. We're travelers. We've never been in this area of the country before so we got a little lost."
"What happened to her?"
"She fell and hit her head. I've been waiting for her to wake up for awhile now. She hasn't. Is there a place that my friend and I can rest for awhile?"
The soldier stared at lady for awhile. With a little reluctance in his voice, he spoke.
"Engeve is just up the road. You can rest at the inn there."
"Sounds good to me."
Slowly, Dante followed the Malkuth soldier up the road into a little backwater hamlet. The people wandering the streets were also strangely dressed. It gave Dante the impression that he wasn't in the twenty first century anymore. It was more like he had wandered back into the fifteenth or sixteenth century.
As he made his way through town, the inn seemed a little larger than the buildings surrounding it. He couldn't help but shake his head. He really was in the fifteenth century. The building even had grass on the roof for insulation. Something that was inventive at the time.
Upon entering the inn, he was given a room with a bed. He carried lady inside and placed her there. After that, he had a small tiff with the guard. He had insisted upon staying while Dante was trying to chase him out of the room. Eventually, Dante's logic won out over the guards impending sense of duty, and he got the man to stand outside the door. That had probably just saved his life.
It took four more hours for lady to stir. In that time, dante had pulled a chair up to her bedside, and was sitting with his elbows in his knees and his hands folded in front of his face to lean on. Dante could tell she had awakened by the cold press of metal against his forehead, and the click of the safety on the pistol.
"Oh come on, lady. You know that won't work on me, so just give it up." He mumbled in a half-sleepy voice.
"So? It would make me feel better." The woman said coldly. After a minute, she lowered the pistol and Dante raised his head.
"Just where the hell are we, anyway?"
"The little town of Engeve."
"And where would that be?"
"Hell if I know. You're the expert on all of the history stuff. not me."
"You're just so helpful, aren't you?"
"I try."
When the door opened and the guard in the hallway entered, lady tensed and glared at the boy. Sensing her hostility, he spoke slowly, stammering slightly with each word.
"Colonel Curtiss requests that you see him in the mayor's house. You can start your interrogation there. Ju-Just come out of the room when you're ready."
He left the room rather quickly. Lady's rage had that affect on most people. Her glare softened only slightly as she turned to Dante.
"so what do you think this is all about?"
"Beats me." Dante said, shrugging. Lady rolled her eyes.
"Whatever. Should we stick around or should we bail?"
"There's not really a point in bailing if we have no idea where we are. "
"True enough. Though do me a favor. Just shut up and let me do the talking."
To this, Dante merely shrugged. "Whatever floats your boat."
Getting up off of the bed, Lady spotted Kalina Ann propped up against the wall in the corner of the room. Quickly she hefted the large weapon onto her back. Dante stood up as well, putting the guitar case back onto his shoulder.
The left the room and followed the soldier to Rose's house. They both entered, and the heavy wooden door was pulled shut behind them.
Colonel Curtiss was an interesting sight to behold. To Dante, he seemed like the type of guy that he could get along with. The sort that he always seemed to end up drinking with when he decided to get plastered. To Lady, he didn't seem that intimidating. She could easily put him in his place if he tried anything.
Of course, the colonel had his own first impressions of the two that had just entered. Through the woman's sunglasses, he could the bloodlust in her eyes. She was serious business to the effect that made Legretta or Natalia look like small kittens.
The man was a much more difficult read. His eyes didn't seem to portray anything. Upon entering he just leaned against the wall and put his head down. He slid his hands in his pockets and just vegetated.
Jade's expression didn't change as his hand slowly rose up to push his glasses off of the tip of his nose. Upon further inspection of the two travelers, he had come to the conclusion that both were most likely concealing the weapons they fought with. He knew that people weren't stupid enough to walk around without something to defend themselves. In that sense, he figured, they were alike. Jade's spear was fonically fused into his arm with the contamination effect. Though for the sake of Rose's house, he didn't want this to turn into a brawl. Chosing his words carefully, he spoke.
"Let's introduce ourselves first, shall we? I am Colonel Jade Curtiss of the third division of Malkuth Imperial Forces. Yourselves?"
Lady blinked. That was simple enough. "Lady. And the idiot over by the door is Dante."
"The scouts reported that you were in an area where the seventh fonons gathered and dispersed roughly six hours ago. Can you explain yourselves?"
That question threw Lady off guard. She had no idea what she had just asked. "Oh, was it really now? We had no idea. We had just stopped to rest there."
Jade blinked. "Oh, is that so? The scout also reported that you were unconscious by hitting your head. Were we right to assume that your friend is a seventh fonist and was trying to heal you?"
"Yes. You were." Lady answered. She narrowed her eyes. The man's voice didn't change at all depending on her answers. He was a difficult read.
"Oh. I see. Well, certainly you have your traveling documents with you verify that you are a citizen of Malkuth? I would like to see those. Then you may be on your way."
Lady couldn't help but feel a cold sweat run down her neck. They didn't have any papers. Most likely they would have to fight their way out of this town. Jade had finally pegged her.
Just as she was about to open her mouth, the door opened and another soldier walked in.
"Sir. More fugitives. We'll be sending them inside now."
This didn't bode well for either of them.

((I hope you guys don't mind if I speed things along.)) ~Rugnica Plains~ Eloysio gave a nod of acknowledgment at Ayre before following behind himself. It wasn't too long before the group of four were spotted and approached by a group of men of the same number. Eloysio stopped in his tracks and narrowed his eyes in an examining stare at them. They were armed and their attire made him suspect they were guardsmen, but their uniforms didn't bear any resemblance to those of the Tethe'alla knighthood. Though, that was half-expected as he had a certain nagging feeling that he wasn't in either world. The soldier who appeared to be the leader, from his manner of dress, stepped ahead of the other three and spoke. "Halt. State your business here." Eloysio relaxed his eyes, raising his brows. Perhaps he was jumping to conclusions, but it sounded as if the group had potentially run into some trouble here. Seeing as the red-clad mage had Silenced himself (and letting him speak anyway might have brought on some unwanted confusion), he decided to be the voice of the party. So as to not raise any unneeded tension, he kept calm. "Why, we're merely travelers. But I'm afraid we've gotten lost here. Might you be able to tell us of the nearest town?"The soldier gave a nod, though kept a stoic expression. "Engeve is right nearby. Follow us." Eloysio did a slight bow of gratitude before the head soldier turned and led the way. The other three surrounded the party to keep an eye on them; one at each side and one in the back. After several minutes, the group arrived in the simple farm town. The blonde half-elf took a good look around and couldn't help but be reminded of the town of Iselia in Sylvarant. The people were dressed similarly and the houses only had minor differences. But another thing he noticed was that he and his temporary companions were still being ushered off to...somewhere. Firmly, though with no apparent hostile intent. What was the meaning of this? Why couldn't they just leave them at the gate? Soon, it became apparent what that "somewhere" was---an inn. Eloysio was separated from Ayre, Abdiel, and Adachi, being led to a room of his own. After taking a quick look around his quarters, he noticed that the soldier who had escorted him was not leaving his vicinity. Facing the man, he crossed his arms behind his back and made a few taps with his foot. "May I ask why the watchful eyes, good sir?" he asked calmly, "I assure you, we're not important people.""We've received orders from Colonel Curtiss to hold those that we find in the fields here for interrogation. That is all I can say. You will be informed when he requests to see you." Eloysio's brows raised again as he put a hand to his chin. He was curious, though the young soldier's words held finality. He wasn't going to get any more out of him, so it was pointless to try. "Hm. Very well, then. Understood." With that, he looked around the room to see if the inn supplied things for the guests to keep themselves occupied with, namely books. All the while, he wondered what could possibly be happening, if there was a need for wanderers to be taken in for questioning around here? ~ Blaze was quite surprised to find that the men she approached lashed out with their weapons just at the very sight of her. From the way they were behaving, it was as if they feared her, and she couldn't fathom why. "H-hey!" She backstepped, dodging a jab from a spear, then thrust her palm forward to emit a steady stream of flame to keep that soldier at bay. "What is the meaning of this?!""..." The soldier just stared with wide eyes, dumbfounded. Were his ears deceiving him? Was this... thing...actually speaking human language? "Keep your guard up!" barked his partner, who managed to sneak behind the purple cat and was now moving to impale her with his own spear. But all of a sudden, her whole body burst into flames. Though he was startled, he did not let that keep him from following through with his action---and it appeared he pierced the creature clear through. ...However, the flames parted and disappeared, revealing nothing more than an empty space where the cat once stood. "Behind you!" The other pointed to where he began to see floating embers in the air. But when his partner spun around to look back, it was too late. The burst from Blaze's Flame Teleportation caused him to stumble back, and she followed up with a spinning Blaze Kick across his chest, which left a flaming streak on his clothing. The soldier's first panicked instinct was to attempt to pat it out. Meanwhile, Blaze landed deftly on her feet and made the flames surrounding her body fade away. With a wave of her right hand, the flame on the soldier's chest disappeared. With a stern look, she began as the two stared at her, "Truly, I mean you no harm. I only did that out of self-defense. Listen, all I want to know is---"THUD....The princess did not anticipate that blunt object connecting quite forcefully with the back of her head. With no room to react, she abruptly fell silent and flat on her face. The blow had come from a third soldier who was able to catch the skirmish from afar and decided to rush in to back up his peers. "Phew...thanks for that..." said the one with the scorch mark across his chest in a sigh of relief, brushing the back of his hand across his brow. "What a strange creature. Unlike any we've ever seen before," remarked the one who had just arrived. "And it could speak. What should we do with it?" asked the third. "It might have to do with the hyperresonances. I say it's worth bringing back to the Colonel for examination." The other two nodded in agreement, and they proceeded to tie the purple cat up with rope and carry her into the town of Engeve, where they placed her into a sack for good measure. One of them began to head for the mayor's office to report their finding to Jade.
