Steve had to say this was a confusing challenge. But then, was it any stranger than the demon standing before him? ...he couldn't say it was. So with a great deal of hesitation he looked at the various clothes. It was like trying to pick out what words sounded poetic from another language. So, he decided the best he could do was just look at each thing and look at Envy. If it looked weird enough for the dude to wear, then it was good to go.

There was nothing weirder than the idea of an insect being an earring or the idea that the insect had been drunk off of, well, anything, it didn't matter what it had been. Maybe that was good enough for Envy.
Clothing Item #1: Splendid Sharp Greaves of the Celestial Witchery of Seduce Fighter
Weren't demons known for seduction? Steve wasn't sure, but it seemed like a good thing to add in, just in case. Maybe it'd do him a favor and seduce Envy's favor towards his items.
Clothing Item #2: Ornate Moccasins of Opening and Insanity
Steve couldn't not pick these, just because this whole...challenge felt full of inanity.
Accessory #1: Vicious Silencers' Tower Shield of Fortuitous Intoxication
Somehow with drunken bugs and seducing greaves Steve felt it was only fair to add in an item that had to do with intoxication.
Accessory #2: Glaive of Worldly Diamond
So Envy was flashy, right? Steve couldn't think of anything flashier than diamonds, so it had seemed like a good choice.
Prize Desired: Silver Pumpkin Seeds
Finally done with his selection, he brought it all over to Envy, sometimes with much heaving and grunting depending on the weight. Afterward he waited, hoping it would be worth...well, something.

Okay, a fashion-off? Really? Well if Steve learned anything at all from school, it was that purple was a badass royal color - maybe not as cool as orange on black, but whatever. It had the word "kill" in it, so maybe Mullethead would get the signal.
Clothing Item #1: Sinner's Coat of Snakes
Snakes, eugh. But if he was going with the whole kingly-ish thing (albeit along with the "killing" portion), he might as well look like he could commit regicide. Snakes were badass, right? Or at least bad. Hopefully the good bad in this case. He didn't want to be bad bad. Wait what was he saying?
Clothing Item #2: Hauberk of Darkness Field
He really didn't like the sneer on Mullethead's face, so Steve made sure he had some light armor on just in case. It had the word "darkness" in it, so he figured hopefully he could conjure some of it if he needed to get away go ninja.
Accessory #1: Celestial Nomads' Flute
Steve remembered enough about avarice demons to know about Mullethead. Well, if he turned into a snake, he could at least try to hypnotize him with music like those humans did. That worked, right? Right . . . ?
Accessory #2: Vicious Silencers' Tower Shield of Fortuitous Intoxication
If it didn't and he looked ready to die, he could hide behind this big ol' shield. Or maybe try to whack the guy with it? Either way, he was pretty sure he'd have to go get intoxicated once he realized he just participated in a fashion contest. =3=

Yeah, at the end of it he wanted Envy . . . 's belt. Seriously, that thing looked kinda cool.

Not only was it splendid, it was purple! Purple was the color of royalty because of its rarity and difficulty to obtain. Many kings and rulers would use purple as their royal color. Plus, who wouldn't want a healthy dose of regicide?

Envy is snakes, and this is a whole COAT of snakes. How badass is that?

Moccasins are comfy, serpents are awesome and this has a charm of knowledge. CHARM OF KNOWLEDGE.

1) Lyres are sexy

3) Lyres are SEXY (plus this one's demonic AND spined, so who wouldn't be envious of that?)

Glaives are very large and look like spears. Diamonds are among the most valuable substances on Earth. Would a demon be envious of a glaive made entirely of diamonds? surprised

This was stupid.
Steve had no idea what the hell was even going on any more. First Greed, and now this - he wasn't sure if he should have been vaguely miffed, or mildly perturbed over this whole ordeal. He was catiously leaning towards the later.
Despite his personal feelings though, he had a challenge to tend to, seeing as how walking away while rolling his eyes didn't seem like a good option. Thus so, he moved left to arrange the so called outfit, hoping he could blow Envy out of the proverbial water with it.

Had he mentioned he had absolutely NO idea what the hell he was doing? Yes? Well, Steve found it necessary to voice this notion yet again, if only within the privacy of his mind. The names of these items made little to no sense to him, however, he'd finally gone with the 'Splendid Purple Pendant of Kill Rulers'. Demons were rulers almost by nature, right? Well sure this pendant would kill Envy's buzz!
Clothing Item #1: Sinners' Coat of Snakes
To say he was struggling, was an understatement. Steve was going through the clothing items and nothing seemed to be catching his eye. At least not until he saw the 'Sinners' Coat of Snakes'. He was pretty sure he'd heard something about Envy being able to turn into a serpent, or a giant snake - he just thought it to be poetically ironic, so he took it.
Clothing Item #2: Defenders' Bracer
Picking a second clothing item was in fact, harder than picking the first. But then again, that was likely to be expected. He ended up going for the 'Defenders' Bracer', because in all honesty, bracers seemed like a nifty idea to him. Besides, weren't demons lacking in the defense department?
Accessory #1: Disrupting Constructors' Mattock of Become Sea Serpents
He was still going with the whole serpent and snake theme, if only because while he wasn't 100% sure on his information about avarice demons... Envy seemed like such a snake in the grass that he couldn't help the cruel, poetic irony of the situation pass by.
Accessory #2: Celestial Nomads' Flute
He was still sticking to the snake theme, for some odd reason. Weren't snakes supposedly charmed by music? More specifically, by flute like instruments? Well, Steve hoped that this accessory would be able to charm Envy accordingly!
Prize Desired: Envy
After that was done, Steve let out a sigh and begrudgingly took the whole outfit over for Envy to see - he just honestly hoped all this had been worth his trouble.

Slightly flustered, Steve was determined to put together an outfit worthy of a king even though he had no idea what was going on. There were so many items though... and he could see himself getting lost in all of the different possibilities and combinations. He needed to be confident and at least look like he knew what he was doing! But... What was he supposed to pick?

Purple stood for royalty right? Steve had a feeling that demons liked the feeling of power so this jewelry sounded like it would be very appropriate for this demon. It would at least make the outfit look better. Hopefully...

Greaves were pretty cool right? Steve recalled seeing a lot of movies recently where greaves had been popular armor of choice. At least they made your legs skinnier? Was that the fashion nowadays? Steve had no idea and for some reason, this challenge made him realize how inept at fashion he was.
Clothing Item #2: Garment of the Ethereal Sigil of Hypnotise Fletcher
The description was so... wordy. Steve had no idea why he picked this. It sounded fancy and possibly pretty?
Accessory #1: Hatchet of the Keepers' Invocation of Magic
Magic. That was something that demons liked right? The hatchet looked pretty cool with the outfit anyway so Steve decided to throw that it with the rest of the clothes that he had picked out.
Accessory #2: Blessed Demon's Mandolin of the Incatation of Fire
Blessed. Demon. Fire. Wow. What else could they stuff into one musical instrument? Well Envy might actually like this. Mandolins were definitely cool anyway. There! An outfit any demon would be envious of. To be honest, Steve had no idea what the hell he was doing.
