Wind blades, flying rubble, and then a crazy girl charging out on her own instead of holding the line. Well, it was still taking down bandits, so calling her method effective was accurate. But there were still way more of the bandits than there were of her, even if her speed sometimes did made it look like there was two of her. A bunch tried to gang rape up on her, going to fondle grab at her while others thrusted chopped at various points. Most other bandits rushed passed, focused more on the bigger picture of the line of Learanian soldiers. The two forces collided and the blood bath quickly began.

All during that, the ram (the one that wasn't destroyed, since it isn't really in range, being right up beside the wall) was still banging away, unnerving the fewer soldiers still propping the gate. But the archers above them, on the wall, were having an even harder time. The enemy was slow to climb their ladders, but there was no clear end to the ones that came up. Some went to take out the Learanian archers, and some saw fit to take down Learania's pesky siege weapons... along with their ballisticians. The man with the black cape soon had two Mordachean soldiers charging towards his catapult.

As for Mordache's catapults, they were still quite well stocked on ammunition and were having a field day carelessly flinging boulders into the city. The aim, though, was to hit the wall and destroy anything or anybody the boulder landed on. There were already a few holes and battered catapults from where boulders had hit. One boulder flew way up high and landed right atop a group of archers. Whoops... poor Captain Arashe. No more commander by the main gate. Maybe somebody would step up.

Back at Fefga Manor, the dark mages were cautiously searching the first floor. As one of them approached a room with a closed door, they cast a flux spell first and saw if the room was empty later. Their search was proving to have doors as the only victims. While the others continued on the first floor, several moved to the staircase and slowly began to ascend it. As they got closer, the one in the lead stopped and his mouth began to move. The dark mages behind him didn't know if he had heard a noise or if he was just being cautious. A purple light dimly illuminated the staircase and then a sudden flux shot up and out to the top of the stairs. The other dark mages watched intently to see what would prove to be at the top. Yeah taking on a bunch of bandits wasn't the best idea in the world, but neither was Clara staying in line. She wasn't sure if her fighting would cause her to accidentally cut down her allies.

She was doing an ok job and fending them off with her slashes. She then noticed some of them coming after her with a different look in their eyes. Clara has a close call once with bandits. She never did figure out why they wanted to do that though, even though the answer was in what she was wearing.

The myrmidon took a few steps back. She focused herself a bit. There was a look of fire in her eyes. Once they got close enough, She charged and slashed at them. This was sure to be tough, but she was going to make sure those that did get cut down by her were not getting back up.

Try to lay a hand on the things I care about...

...I'll take you down before you know it.

User ImageHe had turned the Catapult, to focus intently on the enemies own siege gear. But was stopped short as he began hearing a clatter of armor, The man perked up. turning to see a pair of soldiers he neither recognized, nor were wearing common Eyris regalia. In that instance, he assumed that they were the enemy. He roared in anger as he turned to face them. "How dare ye! Yer Not gonna lay a bloomin' hand on Sasha!"(Sasha, of course, being his baby, the Catapult) They were armed, yes, but only two? That wasn't nearly enough to take down the ol' Commander of Grust's Defenses. One came forward, thrusting his pike at the Catapulter, who effectively dodged and rammed a plated elbow into the man's face, knocking him on his arse, as the man turned to face the second combatant, who made a wobbly attempt of an attack after seeing his comrade go down to the giant of a man. Rook gave a booted heave and smashed the man backwards, putting him out of commission. The other man had gotten back up, making an attempt to dismantle the catapult. He... Touched... Her. Rook roared grabbing the back of the man's armor. "Yer gonna regret touching Sasha!" So he easily slung the live man over the rampart on a long falling doom.

Joshua's slash was cut short by his sudden urgent need to dodge a hammer strike. The swordmaster had only one option he dropped to his knees and leaned back, the momentum of his run sliding him under the hammer. During this Joshua had aimed a clumsy strike but since it's kinda hard to balance dodging and attacking his sword bit into Iguldra's boot instead of his leg and didn't seem to do anything at all.

Joshua was in the process of getting back up to his feet when Iguldra started running, this time Joshua had no time to move out of the way due to how close they were. He was knocked aside like a fly as the giant ran at Nino.

Colliding with the cobblestones Audhulma slipped out of his hand and slid a few inches away, for about a half a second Joshua looked up at the sky and counted the number of stars that weren't really there. Then he was on his feet again, snatching up Audhulma and turning to persue Iguldra, as he got up he registered the bowman was down.

"Just stay there!" He called out as he chased after the bandit. Since he'd been knocked away and Joshua wouldn't be able to catch up to Iguldra before he reached Nino, thankfully it seemed he wouldn't have to. A wolf darted by him and kept going, maybe it could slow the bandit down long enough for Joshua to catch up.

Jaren was still off balance from his spin and the flinch that came of Ziaram's feint made him stumble backwards, accidentally avoding the trip and the extra lash with the sword.

He did however trip over his own feet and fall backwards, Jaren landed painfully on his a** with a huff, aware that this was not the optimal position to be in he quickly rolled backwards nimbly to his feet.

"Enjoy what now?" He said a little confused. "Why would I enjoy this? All I know is that you are evil and so will be purged by the Hero of Justice!" Jaren then with a heroic yell ran back at Ziaram and swung his sword overhand at the opposing myrmidon's head.

User ImageHis foe fell, avoiding his attacks. He had enough time to move back, before Jaren had gotten back up. He just wanted to get this over with.

It didn't help that Jaren was confused by his statement, and of course continued with his nonsense, saying that he would be purged by the Hero of Justice, and something else about being evil.

Although before he decided to make a response, Jaren let out a yell, which was not smart at all, and started a charge right at Ziaram. Really, this was just getting too easy. It seemed his time with the bandits had made him sloppy, and he was becoming more barbaric. When the sword lashed out at his head, he merely ducked, then got in closer, jabbing his left hand into Jaren's gut hard, as well as aiming a hit with the hilt of his sword at his head, to knock some more sense into him.

"You don't get it do you? We aren't all evil on this side. There are some of us that do remember you fighting on our side. Sure, we had some awkward moments that you had caused, but we did remember you. Some of us even wondered where you had gone. Besides, you say I am evil? Is that because I am choosing to defend my new homeland? This is where I live, since I have no way back to Learania, just like none of us have a way back to our homes. Just like you, I have family that is more than likely worried about me, since they figure I would have gotten back from my journey a long time ago."

Oops... The girl had done nothing but anger the giant, and now he was headed directly toward her with a very painful looking hammer. Surprised, she stepped back, eyes wide. That thing was coming at her at a speed that seemed impossible for such a creature. Joshua had jumped out of the way...

Elfire stopped it for a moment before... She decided to do it again. Then what...?

She sent another Elfire blasting toward Iguldra in an attempt to distract him. There was no way he'd run right through it, right?

These wyvern bats just weren't giving up. No matter how many they would take out, more just seemed to come out of nowhere. They would have to start getting some new tactics against these beasts, since they weren't giving up.

Although while facing off against a couple of the wyvern bats himself, Zeiss got distracted by Mihira calling out his name, and merely knicked the bottom of one of their claws. He looked through crowd, trying to find Mihira. He was worried that she may not make it. Damn, if she is doing something risky, Miledy will have my head, should she know I was here.

Taking a dive from the middle of his fight, he commanded Rubley to head off towards Darius, once he spotted Mihira's mount. They had been closing in on her far too quickly, so he pulled up his Steel Lance, and said, "This is going to be fun," and took the dive straight at one of the wyvern bats going at Mihira, piercing through one of its wings. "There's no time to waste. There will be more to surround us soon. Get your lance, and be ready for a fight. We have to get out of this alive Mihira." He just hoped that they would make it out alive.

Ziaram managed to duck under Jaren's vertical swing, which to be honest was a bit on the diagonal side but was in no way unpracticed. Oddly however he chose the option to get in closer to his attacker by punching him in the stomach, doubling over with a huff. Jaren had the wind knocked out of him by the force of the punch but was by no means out of the fight just yet, in fact the doubling over while not only because of the pain was actually part of a plan.

Ziaram must have assumed his foe defeted for rather then a cut with the sword he tried to strike Jaren on the upside the head with his hilt. Not only that but he was spouting nonsense again. Jaren's hand came up to meet with Ziaram's wrist and circled around it tightly. Twisting his body while straightening up he pulled the Myrmidon's arm roughly past his and down, so Ziaram's arm was streached out infront of him in a helpless position.

Jaren had no issues about why he was fighting, he was doing it to purge evil, Drake had told him the Learnian's were evil this was proven by the way they had left him to die. However someone who looked at Jaren's face now would find it strangely devoid of emotion, there was no anger, no hate, and no pride. It was blank apart from a trace of tiredness brought on by the fight. Maybe Ziaram could see the expression from his angle.

If he could perhaps he knew what came next.

Jaren's sword whistled through the intervening air between flesh and blade. He didn't know wether or not Ziaram's arm would come off completly, but that’s what a second strike was for.

User Image xxxxxOh, what a sheer... enraging reaction he had! Jezebel was right, her opponent was just another disgusting horn-dog! But as much as she hated it, it was also the reaction she had wanted him to make. It distracted him and made him vulnerable. All men are truly weak.

Like all of the predictable, simpleminded and weaker gender, he came charging right at Jezebel again. Their weapons met again and right at that moment, Jezebel winked seductively once more. She could immediately see the change in his expression, the same way it was the first time. His hold even seemed to be weaker. With him distracted, Jezebel knocked the sword downward and pinned it. She then swung around and pressed her body up against the kid's back, letting her breasts squish against the sides of his head. She giggled lowly, as she moved her mouth to the side of his ear. "You're quite spunky..." she whispered. "But you know, you're no different that any other man... you only think with one... thing..." Her puckered lips suddenly formed a wicked grin. "And it's time for you to lose it!!"

Jezebel leaned back and kicked the kid forward and then watched him tumble. As far as she could tell, he was weaponless, so with poleaxe raised high, Jezebel leaped at him and swung the weapon down at his midsection.

User Image There was only blackness that stung all around as Vaida and her army fought the bat lizards. At first, the swarm blocked everything, even the light of the sun, but they kept fighting and eventually rays began to penetrate. After a while, it even seemed as if Learania's army might be outnumbering their foes- but certainly not without any significant losses.

As Vaida finished slicing through the neck of one of Mordache's flying dogs, she saw white ahead of her. It wasn't just the dragon, it was the rider, too. Vaida knew, she just knew who it was. "Siegell! You son of a b***h, you've shown your face!" Of course, she didn't realize just how literal that was at the moment she said it. She knew that he must have seen her, too. As commander, taking him out was her job and hers alone. She wasn't going to let him escape her wrath again. One tap to Umbriel and she was soaring at Siegell, roaring like a lioness. She cast out a beam of dark magic from her spear to clear her path and strike at him while she was still at a distance.

He reminded her of Heath.. except he actually knew her name. But that moment wasn't the right time to think about such a thing, so Mihira hid her blush as best she could and flew after her savior.

Sudden screeches and a roar alerted Mihira to what she was supposed to protect and she gasped when she saw what the monsters were doing. "Zeiss, the fire dragon! They're shredding at his underbelly!! We've got to get them off of him!"

"Thanks," said to the comrade who assisted him and helped him get back onto his two feet. Just as he finally got back onto his feet he hears a soldier yell, "Watch out! incoming boulder!" With that the large boulder impacted near his location causing him to lose his balance once again.

"Damn this all," he cursed as he struggled to get into his feet again. It seems as the boulder has caused something tragic. "Captain Arashe has been slain!" another soldier screamed through the air. That's weird, there was someone taking command in the area? Honestly Alex hadn't even noticed since no one was giving commands at all while he was there. The situation seemed really unusual, but it was also too late to ponder it since the man is apparently dead now.

Alex slung another arrow to hiw bow and fired it upon an enemy that had climbed up the ladder. "Don't lose your focus!" he yelled at the surrounding archers. "Commander or No Commander, we'll still protect this place from the enemies!" He looked around the area filled with battles. Archers still battling against the footmen. This battle definitely seems futile for them, but he couldn't just give up yet. After all, it was too early for him to die in a place like this.

"Die!" a sword wielder screamed as he charged at Alex. "I ain't dying anytime soon," he yelled back as he parried the sword with his steel bow and punched the man with his bare hands. His hands went straight for an arrow after the punch. The arrow soon was pierced into the man's heart. Pulling the arrow back out, the arrow was soon nocked on his bow and met with the flesh of another soldier.

"Focus on the troops that have already made it up the ladder first. Take them out then take out the ladders and the soldiers on the ram!" Alex voice rang through the air so that every archer heard the command.

======================================================

Oujay clearly wasn't thinking straight as he had used such a predictable tactic against Jezebel. His strike was easily blocked once again. She winked at the hero again and it just sent shivers up his spine, it even caused his grip to weaken a little bit. What a mistake that was for the boy. In an instant, his sword was parried and it was pinned. This was great, was he dead? He thought the battle was over, but she simply went to his back and pressed her body against him. "What the heck is she doing?" he thought. It's like she was toying with him and trying to seduce him at the same time.

It's time for him to lose it? "Lose what?" he thought when she suddenly kicked him forward causing him to tumble on the ground. The hero made sure he kept his grip on the shield. After a few seconds he stopped tumbling and the swordsman made a mistake to turn around as he saw Jezebel leap and him to strike him down. The situation was gotten worse. He's weaponless and only had his shield. There was one thing he can only do. Oujay raised his shield to defend himself against the blow.

Fortunately he had forgotten one thing as he was on the battle field. The hero was not the only soldier fighting. Another soldier stepped between the two and managed to block the poleaxe. The next moment, another soldier pushed Jezebel out of the way before his comrade was ripped in half by the shear strength of her weapon. "We're here to help," the soldier said towards Oujay.

A nod of agreement came from him as he stood on his feet. "Thanks guy," he said. The soldiers charged at Jezebel once again. Oujay dashed in the direction of where his sword was at and managed to reach his weapon without anything harming him. It felt great to have his weapon in his hand again. He couldn't let himself lose from stupid distraction, if he was going to actually win, the hero would need to focus better.

He's better get back into the battle, who knows how long those soldiers can last against Jezebel. But rushing in to their help wasn't a smart idea either. Oujay turned around not sure if the soldiers were still alive or not, but he was ready for whatever that was going to happen next.

User ImageWith Soren’s support of his last-minute insane idea, Blythe was now just anxiously anticipating an opportunity to haul himself to his steed, Cesario, as fast as he possibly could without getting himself killed. But just having the chance to move forward suddenly became a much greater hurdle to overcome, as a Flux spell suddenly shot up the staircase. It was good fortune they’d momentarily paused so the Troubadour could propose his preposterous plan, if it could be called a plan, even (to a former tactician, no less – Blythe felt like quite the idiot, indeed). At least it had circumvented them getting hit by that spell just now.

But that Flux spell was a harbinger of ill news: there were Mordachean soldiers, of the magic-using variety no less, already searching the Manor. And they were already looking to search the second floor (had they already completely covered the first floor, Blythe instantly feared). Blythe couldn’t ask or expect Soren to take on every enemy already inside with them, let alone additional enemies that might enter, could he? Blythe didn’t have any harmful staves such as Silence or Sleep on him either. On top of that, the Troubadour was notably poorer at taking magic-based hits than one would expect someone learned in using staves to be (he could take a spell much better than your standard Soldier, or Mercenary, or what-have-you, but the fact remained that by the standards of the magically-inclined, Blythe took hits from magic worse than most). He couldn’t help but swear under his breath given the seemingly hopeless circumstances. It would be suicidal to outright try to rush past all the Mordacheans, but what other options were available? The longer he waited and relied on Soren to take them out, the smaller the chances of him getting to Cesario with no one being seriously harmed.

But wait: Fefga’s Manor was a pretty damn large space. One which housed numerous people at any given moment, some practically permanent residents, including the General and Saint couple! Blythe didn’t know exactly where, but he knew that that couple in particular lived on a floor other than the first, having seen them go upstairs to tend to their child the first time Blythe had ever been here. ‘And a Saint would surely have many staves around!’, the Troubadour thought. Perhaps there would be some that could really be of use to making a solution to their situation realized. “Soren,” Blythe started asking, opening door after door down the hallway to look for staves, “the Saint guy that usually lives here. Do you know where his room is?”

User Image With swords at the side, Ali was left with a free hand, which he instinctively brought up to send the boy a powerful punch to the face. Unfortunately for Ali, he didn't realize that the kid was aiming to give him a headbutt. There was a couple second pause after the fist collided with the steel protector, both sides not quite sure of what they had just hit. The tingling in Ali's hand rose all the way up his arm and back down agaon, followed by his eyes seeming to grow double in size. "AUGHH! ********!!!" Ali cursed at the top of his lungs as he kicked the boy in the gut, which shoved him hard into the side of the house. "You ********! You broke my hand! My ********' hand!!"

Ali continued his cursing, but quieted down as he heard he boy start to chuckle. "Watchu laughin' at, fool?! Take a look around!" Ali waved the arm which carried his sword. A sudden revolution was bound to hit the boy, as an inspection of his surroundings would reveal that the last of Learania's soldiers in their area had been felled. The ground was covered with corpses from both sides. Most of the bandits had pushed on towards other areas, but some were looting the bodies and ransacking houses for their own benefit. When Ali had shouted, several of the bandits still around them had perked up and started forming a surrounding crowd, glad to watch their 'boss' take out the last survivor. Ali pointed his sword back at Roy as he held his broken hand against the side of his stomach. "You aint got no friends 'round here, no more!"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The bowman and the swordsman were both tossed aside. The Learanian soldiers and the other bandits had just about taken each other out. The guild captain had been in the back, the piece that needed to be guarded and stay at a distance. But the squishy magic girl was left utterly exposed, with no defenses. There was absolutely nothing to stop Iguldra from smashing her. There wasn't enough time for her to cast a spell.

But then out of nowhere, there was a strong tug at Iguldra's feet, almost causing him to trip. He didn't look down to see what had ensnared his ankles. The embedded teeth were unable to completely tear through the thick muscle and into the tendon, rendering function impossible. He just built up more strength and struggled forward, dragging the wolf behind him. The shape shifter was large, but Iguldra was larger. Even still, he could not be stopped. However, that was when a boulder recklessly shot from a Learanian catapult slammed into him. It broke apart upon impact, flinging rubble all around. The hit caused Iguldra to stop and look around as he scratched his head, like he thought somebody had tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention. "Huuuhwhaaaauuuurgh....?"

Even the boulder couldn't kill him. It had, however, caused him to stop moving. Because of the wolf forcing him to slow down, which allowed the boulder to hit, which made him stop, the guild captain had achieved a sufficient amount of time to cast another spell! More flames shot towards the giant and engulfed him once more. (Hopefully the wolf was knowledgeable enough to jump back) It had the same effect as the first elfire, causing the behemoth to roar in pain and as the fires dimmed, even darker burn marks of charred flesh were left behind. Iguldra stood there motionless for close to a minute, his head down, eyes hidden. As his attackers undoubtedly watched intently to see if they had managed to beat him, Iguldra suddenly lifted his head with vigor and roared into the sky, his greasy hair flowing back dramatically. As he roared, he ragingly swung his hammer absentmindedly at anything that may have been close by. When he finished his bellowing, he looked at Nino again and stomped forward. He then stomped forward again and again until he was right over her and looked down on her like a dragon ready to devour its meal. He lifted his hammer and prepared to have it come crashing down upon the guild's precious captain.

"Wh- No, wait!" Abel called out to Clara to stop when she ran out, but it didn't do any good. He tried running after her, but by the time he noticed her, the bandits were already swinging their axes at him. "Get out of the way! Rahh!" He shouted as he bludgeoned a bandit with the broad side of his blade. Clara was out in the middle of all the bandits by herself, there was no way she could defeat them all on her own. Abel knew she was good- he had fought with her before when they rescued their companions from being sent to the asylum- but she was still only one person. He was intent on getting to her, to help her out.

His broadsword could be seen being flung around above the general head-height of the soldiers in battle. It was a good sign to other people that Abel was there, fighting. His swings would sometimes take out two bandits at once. The Learanian soldiers' moral bolstered when they witnessed him forcing his way forward and followed his lead.

Eventually, Abel managed to catch sight of Clara and began to run over to her. Just like he thought, she was being surrounded. She was easily cutting down the bandits in front of her, but she didn't see the ones trying to get her from behind. "Watch it!" Abel shouted from behind her. When Clara turned around, she would see a bandit that was about to chop at her fall to the ground. Abel chuckled and gave a sigh of relief. "That was close. Don't do that again! I'm not letting someone like you die here, hear me? We'll fight together. I've got your back, and you've got mine." Abel got into a defensive stance as bandits began to surround them again. He may have saved Clara by getting to her in time, but now they were both in trouble. "Let's get 'em!"

The bandits charged at the two of them and Abel met the ones on his side with a powerful swing of his sword.
