Asayake followed Tare, hesitating a bit at the water's edge before slipping into the clear liquid. She'd never exactly been a fan of water, but she wasn't going to simply say no and back away from Tare. He had come all the way out here simply to avoid her father. Slowly she ducked her head under, entire body slipping under the water like a streamlined serpent. She rose to the surface closer to him, the fur along her body splayed out in the water in strange shapes.
"Lorne was a very spunky adolescent, active, too. He's always been so sweet to my sister and I." Her tail swung back and forth lazily in the water, keeping her afloat as she mused out loud. It was almost strange, thinking back to seeing how much Lorne had grown, and with little Nishi there as a size comparison to boot.

He turned his head up towards the clouds as Minya cut into his thoughts, There are more Kyn coming, brother. Look to the sky. Though the female European was far removed from where Aedan was, reclining on a rock behind the hatching sands with Brody, her mind seemed to always be on her human. He nodded slowly as the pair of kyns and their rider landed, waiting for them to approach. The two Japanese kyn he left alone - they seemed to be one of the pairs rather smitten with each other. Oh, the joys of the breeding season. He was honestly surprised that the sands weren't full of abandoned eggs already.

"Huh. He's changed a lot, huh?" Tare laughed and moved a little closer to her. "You're very attractive, Asayake. I wanted you to know that... and I would really like... to get to know you a lot better." He circled his tail in the water slowly, his face turning a deep crimson.

Recieving acknowledgement, the owner and two kyns stepped forward. Executing a short but respectful bow, Draconargentum spoke.
"We heard that this ranch could use some volunteers? Is there anything we can help out with here?"

The young man seemed almost amused by their actions, though he was polite even in the expression of a small smile on his lips. After listening, he nodded in small agreement. "We could always use an extra hand around the ranch, of course." The implication of more help lifted his mood even further, though Minya cut into his thoughts rather abruptly to chide a warning about Hiram. That european was holed up in the recovery pens, but that didn't mean he wasn't mad at all the activity that had recently started up.
"Is there anything in particular you would like to do, or would like to not do?" The list was extensive of things that could be done, of course. It was just easier to let them say outright if they had something in mind. Saved him trouble in the long run.

Asayake's sun-sheen colored face brightened at the compliment into a deep blush. "Yes, he has changed, and, well..." She couldn't help but look away shyly, tail wavering in the water. "I... I think you're very sweet, Tare. And I think that I'd like that." As she spoke her last words, her eyes rose again to meet his own despite her embarassment.

Tare flushed and gently, tentatively cuddled up to Asayake's side. He felt like he already knew her so well. "You know, it's Valentine's Day... and I was wondering... if you would like to be my mate." He knew it was hasty of him, but at the same time, he felt that if he were ever to mate her, this would be the easiest time to convince her father-- when all sorts of love was in the air.

Treading water with her fore- and hindclaws, she listened to Tare's words. Asayake's own blush seemed to die down a bit, lost in the smile that she gave Tare. He really was a sweet kyn, and he was Lorne's son. Her father really couldn't disagree with something like this, right? Slowly, she nodded her head. "I think.. I think that I'd like that."
