The bright smile that seemed permanently fixed on Eon's face turned into a sweet. soft smile at the thought of having to take care of Alanna from now on. Most foxes probably wouldn't want to be with someone they had to always take care of, but Eon actually kind of looked forward to it. Who knew that in one night he could find someone who he wanted to care for until the end of time.
"I wouldn't mind the questions." Eon chuckled slightly. "But I don't think there are any embarrassing things about having to take care of you. I look forward to being there for you, as a friend and more."

Alanna smiled sweetly, though still with a hint of her shyness. She hoped one day that she would be more than someone to care for. Certainly she still needed to grow as a person before she could stand beside Eon rather than behind him. She didn't say any of this though. Instead she gave a mock groan.
"You don't know my brother," she said. "He will find a way to interogate you that will have you staring after him and not quite sure what to make of the whole coversation that just took place."

"Your brother sounds like a very interesting fox." Eon half chuckled to himself. "I must admit I'm a little nervous to meet him. What if he doesn't like or approve of me?" The words escaped him before his mind could process what he was saying and stop him.
He knew it was probably an irrational fear but he still couldn't help but become a little anxious by the thought of being rejected by Alanna's brother. The shy vixen seemed to be very close with her brother, and Eon didn't want to come between them. But he didn't want to lose Alanna either.

It was kinda funny how their roles suddenly got reversed. Alanna smiled, and ducked her head under Eon's chin. "Don't worry, Harle will like you. I've never seen Harle disapprove of anyone before." Her half-grin was hidden since Eon couldn't see her face. Nope, Harlequinn was a very easy-going male who'd probably dump his blessing on them the moment he spotted how Alanna acted. The twins trusted each other enough on judgement of character, and perhaps Alanna was trusted more because she made friends so rarely.

A part of his mind was put to ease at the confidence in Alanna's voice about how he would probably gain acceptance and/or approval from her twin brother. A different part of him, though, was sort of saddened that he didn't have his own siblings around to give her approval. But there was his mom. He knew Alanna would be granted approval from his mom just as Alanna knew he would be granted approval from her brother.
As they stood there, Eon wondered how long it would be before Alanna met his mother. The thought occured to him that this perfect night would end in a few hours. Where would Alanna go after that? Of course, he wanted her to come stay with him and his tribe, but he didn't want to rush her into that. He needed a way to slowly warm her up to the idea, but he was drawing a blank. His mind just couldn't get past leaving her side.
"This may sound off topic, but, where will you go once the sun rises, Alanna?"

Alanna's mind summoned up a mental image at Eon's question. It was a small thicket of thorns bushes, with a well-hidden and narrow tunnel that led to a small burrow fashioned inside. It was where she had been sleeping the last few nights, and had taken her a solid day without sleep and numerous small cuts to fashion. It had felt safe though, and that was all that had mattered.
The image still felt safe, but looking at it now, from this perspective, it also felt kinda....lonely. After all she was a wanderer, with no place to really call home. It was always the people that mattered, and up until now she'd only had Harle. Maybe that thorn thicket had always been lonely and she'd only been supressing it until now, because Harle wasn't here and indulging in a fit of loneliness wouldn't change that.
"There's a place, not far from here," she said quietly. "A little den I made. I usually sleep there while the sun is up."

((.... Wow.... Just... wow. Okay, these two deserve way more love than that. I really gotta wake up my Eon muse. Do you wanna start another rp after this one to make two for them?))
So she did have a place. And it wasn't to far away. That was good. At least he knew that once they did part when the sun rose, at least she wouldn't be to far away from him. The thought of Alanna being far away was highly depressing. It was amazing that in one night he could develop such deep, intense feeling about another fox. In one night, his entire world had changed and had become all about her.
"I.. Uh... I know you've been on your own for awhile but.. Will you be okay there on your own?" Eon asked nervously. What he really wanted to ask was if he could stay with her. But he didn't want to rush into things. He wanted to give her space if that was what she wanted. But he also wanted to be there to protect her. He didn't want the day time forest to scare her or startle her from her sleep.
"I mean... I could... keep you company...if you wanted." Eon could feel his cheeks heating up as he spoke and nervously pawed at the ground a bit.

((*nods* That would be good. I think they'll have adorable kids <3 We should think of a vague plot for it, so we don't have to feel our way through five pages.))
Alanna felt her cheeks burn with the force of her blush. She mentally calculated whether there'd be enough space for two foxes in her little bramble. There would be as long as they didn't mind being kind close, a thought which only made her blush get stronger.
"Y-You wouldn't get in trouble with your tribe, being gone all day," Alanna asked, feeling very self-conscious and having to turn her gaze to the ground.

((I agree. Some sort of plot would make this so much easier lol))
It took a lot of effort, but Eon finally brought himself to look up at her, to see her reaction to his asking to stay with her. His nerves died down a bit as he noticed the light blush coloring her fur. The butterflies in his stomach riled up again as he looked at her. She was just so cute and perfect.
“No.” Eon replied with another smile. “Our tribe is often scattered throughout the land and there are many of us who don’t return every day, but instead every other day. As long as I return at some point tomorrow night to let my mother know I’m alright, it should be fine.” He wrapped his tail more tightly around her. “And don’t worry, no one will come looking for me, so you’re safe.”

((lol Not that this RP wasn't kinda cute. Hmmmmm, plooooots *ponders*))
Alanna couldn't answer immediately; she was too busy trying to control the furious beating of her heart.
"I-If you're sure they won't mind," she stuttered, then relucatantly stood up. She walked a few paces in the direction where Eon had first found her, towards the bush she'd been hiding under. She looked back over her shoulder. "It's this way," she said, voice quiet.

((Should be plot something dangerous or something to make them grow mature like babysitting? Sorry for the short post.))
Eon stood completely still for a moment. This was really happening wasn't it? Had he really just found the mate of his life? Sure, he'd only met her tonight and they hadn't been together that long, but Alanna was just so... amazing. With a happy sigh, he looked up to the moon and prayed a silent thank you.
Happier than ever, Eon stood and trotted slowly and quietly after the three toned vixen that had stolen his heart.

After about five or so minutes of walking they came upon Alanna's little thorn thicket. The thick, leafy exterior looked inviting to jump in, a false impression as the thorns hidden beneath the leaves were all nearly an inch long!
Alanna led the way to a spot that didn't seen very different from the rest of the thicket, except maybe a little thicker. Ivy winding its way up the surrounding trees had drapped down to braid through the brambles, and covered a large section of the area they were facing.
Alanna carefully nudged the ivy, pushing back the green curtain to reveal a hole in the wall of thorns that led into the thicket. She cast a shy look over her shoulder at Eon, then wormed into the hole and started wiggling through to her hollow inside.
((This is post 12. For it to count towards getting more babies we'd have to do 13, 14, and 15. Then we can do a second one with Alanna's pregnancy, the babies being born, and maybe a little with them as kits towards the end for a second RP. If you want to have two full ones to go for more babies, otherwise we can just make a short RP for the pregnancy or just inthread it. XD It might be hilarious to do a time skip and use our last two posts for Alanna to admit she's pregnant and Eon's reaction to the news, though starting off a second RP with that would take up more posts.))

As the two of them walked, Eon couldn't help glancing at Alanna and feeling as if he was the luckiest fox in the world. They arrived at a thorn thicket way to soon. The dark male was enjoying his moonlit walk with the lovely vixen at his side. He could definitely get used to this. He let out a soft, almost inaudible, happy sigh as he glanced once more at the moon before turning his attention to the thicket before him.
He caught sight of the thorns and was about to protest Alanna sleeping in such an uncomfortable, and possibly painful, hiding spot when she revealed a hole through the thorns. For a moment, he wondered if he should stand outside as guard for her. But it was clear that no one would brave those thorns to hurt them and he'd be of better use inside if they did.
Once Alanna was in, Eon began to wiggle himself into the hole. On his way in, he caught a thorn or two in his tail and flinched as the thorns lightly scratched him and got stuck in his fur.
((I wouldn't mind starting off the next one with Alanna breaking the news to him. Alanna could also meet his mom during the pregnancy before the BCR's appear. Just a thought.))

Alanna was already inside her den rearranging her bedding, pushing moss, pine boughs, and fallen leaves closer to the edges of the hollow. The inside was big enough to fit two foxes, though since she was living on her own she'd padded the extra room with more bedding. By piling most of the extra against the walls to enlarge the dip in the middle where she slept, even if they had to press up against the walls a little the thick layer would protect them from the thorns.
She turned around, blushing, as Eon wiggled his way into the den, noticing the thorns stuck in his fur. "Sorry," she said softly, leaning forward and pulling loose the ones she could see. "The tunnel is a little tight even for me. It was difficult to create."
Alanna wiggled over to her favorite spot in the thicket, curling up and settling down. Her fading blush returned as she looked up at Eon, but was interrupted by a yawn. Outside her thicket in the trees she could hear the sound of birds stirring out of their nests and warbling the first tentative songs of the morning; soon the sky would begin to brighten in the east. She laid her head down on her paws, blinking sleepily but offering Eon a tiny, loving smile.((It's cool with me : ) One last post and we can call this roleplay finished <3 I'll go ahead and start up the second one.))

Eon shook his head as Alanna pulled the loose thorns from his fur. "It's alright. I'm impressed you even managed to make it. The thorns would have scared me off right away. You're very clever." He smiled to her before turning to pull out the rest of the thorns. Luckily none of them had gotten to tangled in his dark bushy fur. Once clear of the thorns, he took a spot next to Alanna.
Eon had to remind himself not to stare at the vixen as he settled in which was difficult because she was just so cute when she yawned. He was about to tell her when a yawn of his own impaired his speech. Yep, time to sleep.
As Alanna started to drift off, Eon wrapped her in his tail and snuggled close to her. He did so of course very gingerly, not wanting to disturb her.
"Goodnight Alanna." He said softly as he touched his muzzle to her forehead. Then sleep won him over.
