Mitsuko's body shook as he tried to stop the rest of the tears he felt inside, almost ready to spill over. Although one had escaped, he had kept the rest under control as he sniffed, his fists tightening their grip. He had actually HIT Haikimaru.
He then suddenly found himself pinned to the ground. His head started pulsing after it hit with a small thud. The pain starting to build up his tears again. But he didn't struggle as he stared up at the kitsune on top of him. His eyes sad and full of questions himself.
Why had he done so? Why HAD he hit the other kitsune?
His mind's thought proses went quick. The memories of watching others in close to the same predicament as he was springing forward.
He had never had been this close to another. He didn't want Haikimaru to leave. He was scared, he feared for Haikimaru when he was lost in the illusion and wouldn't come to.
The boy's eyes were not scared of the angry boy on top of him, but sad, as he stared up at the other. His face; concerned. He sniffed again, closing his eyes as he tried to turn his gaze away from the other as he tightened his fists again. He didn't want to say it to Haikimaru's face.
The raccoon that had once been there disappeared slowly in small specks of light that floated upward before disappearing completely. Mitsuko's mind couldn't focus, the illusion he made vanishing in the process.
".. .. I was scared.." The boy said quietly in a worried voice. His eyes opening slowly as a few more tears escaped when he spoke. He didn't want Haikimaru to see. He didn't even know what these tears meant. He had seen others cry in this fashion, but they were either grieving over a loved one, flustered over him stealing their precious treasures, emotionally depressed, or were hurt physically. He had never really felt this.. "sadness" himself. It felt weird.. different. But he felt as if he had been holding back something, and it had finally come out.
The tears came.

 The forest illusion disappeared as the face of Mitsuko's turned sad. Haikimaru for once felt he went a little too far with pinning the boy down and moved away. He grabbed Mitsuko's wrist and pulled him up against his chest. Haikimaru finally wrapped a hand around the boy pulling fully to the chest. "I'm sorry. I was a little surprise. That you Mitsuko. You really snapped me out of it." The purple haired man said be moving some of his roommates hair and kissing his forehead. "Please don't be afraid. I'm right here to protect you. Cry on my chest as much as you feel the need to."

Surprised, the boy's eyes opened as he was freed, and he turned his tearful look to his senpai as he was taken up by the wrist and pulled close. Mitsuko's eyes slowly softened before he closed them and welcomed the extra warmth as he was pulled closer. He gripped Haikimaru's shirt as he cried, listening to the senior's words. Butterflies danced in his stomach as Haikimaru's lips gently caressed his forehead. The salty droplets falling from his eyes dripped to the ground even as Haikimaru showed some of his true color. The boy buried his face close to the man's chest.
He had finally found someone he could be close to. Someone who was like family.
The minutes past.
He sniffed, trying to keep his sobs quiet, and after a few minutes they became quieter, before he had fallen easily asleep in the other's arms. Using magic really did tire him out no matter how long he slept.
Mitsuko's hand tightened on Haikimaru's shirt and a last tear rolled down the boy's flushed cheeks. His lips moved slightly, softly muttering a simple phrase. "Haikimaru.. I'm sorry." He whispered, mentioning the fact that he had still slapped him.

Haikimaru used his whole hand to left Mitsuko face towards his. It wasn't rough. The kitsune even cupped his roommate face and smile. "No Mitsu-kun. I'm sorry. I'm the weakling who forced you do that, because, it's easy to tell that I can't control my powers." Haikimaru corrected him.

If the kitsune was faking it or if he was really serious Mitsuko could not tell. His face gained subtle color to his cheeks as he stared up at the other quietly. "It is never your fault.." He commented quietly, his eyes still sad. Why would Haikimaru blame himself? He never had before, why was he now? If this was fake it was either really cheesy or practiced.
He smiled weakly back, still somewhat tiered.

Haikimaru shook his head to disagree with his roommate. "It is my fault. I should have known my feelings would get mixed up in this illusion. I'm just a little homesick for Nihon. I know that it's for my education, but, no one but the girl who called me aniki knows where I really am. Chikawa is also a student here." Haiki explained.

Mitsuko, now curious, remembered part of the illusion. "Haikimaru.. you have family?" he asked curiously, wanting to know more. His eyes becoming a bit far as his mind wandered somewhat to his own life.
He couldn't lie, he was jealous the older boy had a family. The closest thing he had was a select few on the internet he chose to play halo with every now and then, and the neighboring animals that he met on his travels. He never really had any one home. he moved form place to place, taking all his things around in an old duffle bag or backpack, or anything he could curse to make it hold anything inside without weighing more than a dime.
He sighed softly, pulling himself closer to the other. "Why did you decide to go school Senpai?" he asked. He wanted to learn more about Haikiamru, and this might be one of the only times he'd open up to the other kitsune.

That's the group Haikimaru missed the most. "I do. One older brother, one younger, and then two younger sisters. Kakuhito, Chikawa, Tsukuru, and Tenteimi. Plus Kaa-san and Too-san." He answered about his family. "Though now I have Mitsuko-kun too." He added with a grin. "I left to study western culture and to learn new things and a good school. I also left because....." Haikimaru stopped. He could here the thumping of feet outside their door. It couldn't be her.

Her nose twitched in mischievous delight. Ahhhh. The lost had become found. "Mein Bruuuuuuder." She sing-songed sweetly, blue hair cascading over her shoulders and back. "Aniki." She called out again, thin lips pulling back to show sharp teeth as she rapped on the door gently. "Rittre sister has come to give you company." Eyes narrowed, short ears pressed back stiffly. A good grip on the handle and she slid it open. "Booga booga booga, Bruder." She chortled in an evil voice.

Suddenly Mitsuko's face looked a bit clueless as he sat there with his arms close together, his face staring blankly at the girl who had barged in. His ears were pinned down on his head but now moved freely as he looked the girl up and down. They flicked, listening to all the different noses around the room. He then glance up at Haikimaru. Bruder?.. or did the girl mean brother? was.. that English?
Maybe she was one of Haikimaru's sister's he had been talking about. What would she think coming in seeing him with a very girlie-looking roommate? He tried not to thin about it.
He sat there listening, a bit confused by her sudden outburst and intrusion. He only slightly understood her when she spoke to them in English. From his first guess, he'd have to say she was from Japan as well. She is Haikimaru's little sister.. or at least, ONE of them. She has about the same "outgoing" personality as her older brother.. although hopefully not as perverted. A small sweatdrop fell from Mitsukos head as he thought for words. What was he going to say?
"Hi don't mind me, the feminine figure sitting in your brother's lap"???
He couldn't say that.. Although he could probably think up something.. it wouldn't be influential, or helpful to the current situation.. that and he'd probably just put a barrior between Haikimaru and him afterward. He closed that off from his mind, he didn't want that.
He didn't change his gaze, but hoped Haikimaru could think of something more realistic-sounding than he could.

Haikimaru glared at his sister with sour lips. She not only barged into his room, but, also stopped his moment with his play thing. "Please don't speak in German. English or Japanese please. Also get out of my room. I'm busy with my new rag doll." The man scolded his sister. He was not pleased. She was in the boys hall to boot.

Chiikawa turned dark to this. "Nani?" She hissed. "This rittre b***h? You choose some c**k boy over me?" She eyed Mitsuko with a look that at once scrutinized his character (although she herself looked like a young boy rather than a teenage girl) and asserted her dominance. The air about her breathed how viperous and violent she was. But with a soft, coy, venomous smirk, she looked calm. "I can see you're busy working into another boy's pants. I'rr be sure to terr the rast one you are done wif him." With a quick turn on her heels, she made her way to the door, eager to begin building her new gang.

Mitsuko waited in silence, not sure whether to defend himself or not. He couldn't quite understand half of what the other was saying. Leaving him clueless and without words as the girl stalked out of the room. ((*cough coughz* jealous ******** whore ))
What was there to say?
"What a nice and annoying sister you have."
No.. he couldn't know to much.. he'd offend Haikimaru's family, and risk the trust and respect he had built.
"Who was that?"
Nah.. to innocent. He couldn't act to out of it. The girl had looked at him weirdly, even suspected Haikimaru of trying to get into his pants. Which was most likely the case((*ahem* ..cough coughz, nudge nudge, wink wink )) .. but it still did piss Mitsuko off somewhat.
"Rag doll?"
Also.. no. He couldn't question the other on his choice of words.. but..
"Senpai.. what was she talking about?.. that last part she spoke of?" he asked, his eyes a bit hurt, as if hiding sadness, confusion. He clenched his fists and looked down a bit.
He could question about his sister's words.
If he played the innocent act a bit like before, he could pull a few strings.. -Not that he liked doing this to his roommate..- He had done it before a long while back when he use to "pull the strings" on many a wealthy landowner or two; which was how he came to own half his possessions.
The boy shifted his weight, as if weighing on whether to move away from the other boy or not. He was still upset((*cough coughz* hinting of jealousy )) that Haikimaru had a family, which he obviously did not.. not that HE knew that.. ((*cough coughz* yet ))
Mitsuko wasn't ready to open up to anyone yet. No matter how close they got to him(( *cough coughz* epic forshadowing )) .

Haikimaru glared at the exit his sister chose before turning back to his roommate. "She is annoying. I thought I could come here to escape her, but, I was wrong. Sisters are weird. However she imply that I would throw you away like some ragdoll. I'm afraid you're staying in my lap." He answered him with a little growl. ((Someone likes Naruto))

Mitsuko thought this through.
"However she imply that I would throw you away like some rag doll. I'm afraid you're staying in my lap" If he was lying.. if he was telling the truth.. if what he said held some sort of inner meaning.
And what was with the growl?
The boy's ears went down, unsure what to make of Haikimaru's little speech. He let a small bit of his white and black hair fall over his face, tickling the side of his cheek. His mind came upon something else.
He had wanted this to be a normal little study session.. and they had to get their work node and quickly.. he was growing even sleepier by the second. He felt as though he'd pass out.
Shaking his head the boy looked up at his senpai. His eyes sincere and searching, all the while holding back a small bit of sadness in his mind. He didn't want this small moment to end. He didn't want to lean away form Haikimaru's warmth, his scent, his arms around him, his voice.
Mitsuko then cleared his mind, focusing on what he was going to say. "Senpai.. we still need to study." he said meekly, not wanting any trouble. He tried to keep his head, to keep serious, but he couldn't lie that he didn't want to study.
He could lie to others, easy, but he couldn't lie to himself.
He waited patently for the kitsune's answer.
