Vance did lots of leading which was fine, this was completely new to her. Wow, there was lots of food. Did Vance eat like this all the time... Why wasn't he bigger? Bug eyed Vance up and down with some skepticism. This had to have been a special occasion, but Bug didn't feel like she was special enough for this.
Bug meekly sat down on the carpet beside he friend. She tilted her head, she really did get anything that he said. move my guy? Wait... What... "...What? Oh wow the screen, how does it do that?!" Bug knee walked over and touched the screen. How did those people get inside there. Were they trapped? That must have been awful. Bug looked back at Vance with a pout. She wanted them out.

Vance watched Bug approach the screen, laughing at her reaction. "They aren't real Bug. It's just a game." Oh, but how would he explain that? Vance scratched his head, leaning back a bit. How difficult.
Anything he thought up wouldn't make sense to Bug. That and he was just a kid, so he really wasn't sure how things worked a anyway. "It's magic." Vance said in a deadpan tone. "It's a spell that makes it look like people are in the TV."

He had mention it being a game, but games were done with real people, surely small people had feelings too. Tilting head head with a pitiful expression on her face, she could help but feel sorry for them, after all she didn't like playing that snakes and ladders game with Ryuu, that was dreadful.
With a bit of belief Bug was starting to be convinced in Vance's logic. Magic she could believe, science was hoo ha.
"Well as long as they're not real." Bug scratch the back of her head in stilled with some disbelief she sat down beside Vance.

Hook line and sinker. She took the bait. Vance sighed a bit in relief when Bug sat back down. "So, these are controller, and they let you control the magic." He said, handing Bug a controller. "The screen is showing us the story, and we can make it do what we want."
He hoped Bug would have fun with this game. If not, there was always other things they could do. Hide and seek, Tag, and they could even play with his not so video centric toys. At that, he started the game again, grabbing a handfull of chips to munch on as well.

"Oh, it's like a picture book!" Bug knew about those, they were pretty much the only books she could read. Bug looked at the controller, she wanted to understand what Vance was talking about he seemed so thrilled about it. So she did her best to understand and mimicked Vance's movements with the device. Only she picked the girl in green with the yellow hair because she felt akin.
It took Bug a while to get the movements down, "Hey, how do you keep stopping my kicks?" she whined.

"Yeah, exactly." Vance said with a nod. An electronic picture book. Just magic. Yes.
"I block them. Oh.." Vance looked over at Bug's controller, and pointed to one of the buttons. "If you think you're gonna get hit, just press that to block." It wasn't too strange that Bug didn't know video games. She had legitimate reasons. Heck, Tynne lived in a high tech home, but didn't like electronic stuff.
After quite a bit of gaming, Vance stretched out his arms. "I'm done!" He declared, clearly tired of this game. "What do you wanna do, Bug?" She was the guest, and he had picked the first game... more like shoved the first game into poor Bug's hands.

Bug nodded, "Oh, Okay" that made things easier and was now at least being a little bit more of a challenge for Vance, only slightly.
Bug placed the controller on the ground in front of her and grabbed a handful of chips. She was caught a bit off guard by his question. "Ummm I... I don't know." Bug paused to try and think of something they could do.
"Oh, you mentioned a movie earlier what's that? Lets do that." Clearly, sure they could do it.

"We can do that!" Vance smiled and crawled to the DVD shelf. There were quite a few movies to choose from. He thought about letting Bug choose, but what did she know? She didn't even know video games. He would just have to try and choose one that Bug might like.
He looked over his collection, stopping at a title and giggling. "A Bug's Life?" He asked teasingly, pointing out the 3D movie to Bug. "It's about bugs."

Bug watched Vance go over to the shelf... Movies and games came from the same place?
Bug tilted her head. What was so interesting about bugs, a side from eating them.
"Um, sure?" Vance was giggling so he knew something she didn't so it was probably going to be good, right?

Bug still seemed kind of skittish. Was she uncomfortable? Hopefully, Bug would love the movie, and be at ease! Vance turned off the game system and popped in the DVD. "It's a fun movie. The bugs pretend to be people, cause they talk and stuff!" Vance said as he pressed play, sitting beside Bug.
At least, Vance felt that way about the movie. Bugs don't talk! So silly..

Bug happily cuddled up to Vance once he sat down, this was, and Vance was warm. She let out a sigh and watched the screen show it's opening credits. TV was really amazing, it's too bad they didn't have anything like it at their house.
Bug had settled and was enjoying herself until they started talking. They were talking?! She guessed that dogs and cats must have known what each other was saying... but bugs could speak too?... wait did she just call her mother?! Ants had mommies? They were only 5 minutes into the movie and Bug started to tear up... all this time she had been eating parents and babies and just plan destroying families, she was... horrible.

Vance was so happy to be cuddling with his good friend, watching a funny movie.
Funny movie, yet was Bug crying? She had tears in her eyes. "What's wrong, Bug?" He asked with a frown. The boy didn't understand what could be making the girl cry. Vance didn't like to see Bug cry. He wanted her to be happy.
Vance peered at Bug's face with a concerned look, wiping away her tears for her.

All watery and wide Bug's attention was at Vance.
"I... I've been eating families," she sniffled. Vance had been eating bugs too, how he didn't see this connection?
She didn't want to cry but she felt that it would be okay in front of Vance he was her friend, one of her closest. Bug's eye winced when he wiped away the tears that had formed and spouted out new ones. She ducked her head into his chest and cried some more, wanting to be comforted.

Vance frown deepened at the sad sight of Bug. He'd never seen her like this, had he?
Eating families? Did she mean bugs? Vance opened his mouth to refute her words, but suddenly found Bug leaning on him for comfort. The boy held onto her, patting her hair, and looking a bit confused. He had never needed to comfort someone before. Usually someone else was comforting him.
"No, Bug.. they're just.." Vance bit his lip, wondering if Bug would understand. "It's a cartoon. It's not real... real bugs...uh.." Wait, real bugs had families? But... but they were bugs!
...TV never lied...the... did that make him a murderer?
"R-real...b-bugs...d-don't..." Vance whimpered, losing his grip on his emotions suddenly.

She liked the petting and griped her hand on Vance's shirt while peering up at him trying to see his answer. Bug didn't understand the concept of cartoons, if it was a story it was based on something, something real, right?
Bug knitted her brows in worry, he was faltering. It was true Bug was horrible and Vance knew it, and he couldn't hold up the lie. The wing girl buried her face in his chest again, crying harder.
