He smiled as he followed her out of the cave. He was never use to walking after a storm. The ground was cold and wet and some times he had trouble walking. "Well... with out storms there would be no forests... no flowers..." He looked over at her. "With out rain and storms... there would be no life." He stopped to look over at a group of trees.

Cam nodded. "I know," she said quietly. "I just wish the rains didn't have to be quite so dramatic as this one was." She sniffed at the air and found herself wandering in a certain direction. Maybe she could find some herbs to store later, before the winter months finally hit.

"That is true..." Keith closed his eyes then opened them slowly looking up at the sky. "The rain can bring destruction some times..." There was a pause as he continued to look at the passing swirling blackness of the clouds. "Well... I just hope that this doesn't continue..." He looked back at her. "I would like to stay dry for a little longer." he chuckled then tilted his head to the side as he watched her closely. "Find something?" He sniffed the air.

"Ah, I'm not sure," Cam replied, looking back towards Keith. There were a lot of scents to sift through after all, besides the smell of earth, moss, and stone. It wasn't like this forest was full of nothing but pines, though they did get a lot more numerous the closer you got to the mountain. It was actually a good way to direct yourself, if you knew the woods, since all the variety of trees seemed to have preferences for various weather and positions in the forest.
The scent of many kinds of wet bark and foliage added their fragrance to the air, and it was hard to sniff out around it all. Cam was just a simple story-teller after all, with no real practical knowledge of herbs. Someone like Kina or Tokala, or maybe even Freyr would have better luck than she. Maybe....
Cam looked back at Keith. "Take a whiff, what do you smell? Two noses are better than one, and you might pick up something I don't recognize."

He tilted his head to the other side as he watched her sniff the air. He had to admit... there was something cute about the way she poked her nose into the sky and smelled. The way her nose moved and had her eyes closed as she concentrated. "Hm?" He looked up snapping out of it when she called to him. "Oh... Um... sure..." She walked around the other side of her. "Exactly what am I looking for?"

A small smile played across her lips and her green eyes sparkled with humor that was directed more at herself. "Anything that you think would be used for healing. Moss, I guess, is obvious and a bit of everywhere, but it's mostly for stopping bleeding and bedding." Which, with all the old rags in the castle ruins that her tribe called home, weren't strictly necessary, though she was sure the tribe would be out to gather some to supplement their bedding for the winter months.
"I suppose any kind of herbs, in general. It's not too late in the fall season that there wouldn't be some about, though," she added, face drawn with a bit of chagrin, "it's probably not of the best quality that healers or mages would prefer it in. I guess, if nothing else, something that smells good and keeps alive the memories of green when winter sets in and there's nothing but pine and stories to remember green by."

"Right... ok... so look for something that can be used to help..." He nodded his head. "Ok nose don't let me down..."
He gave her a lopsided smile. He would hope that he would be able to at least catch the sent of something. He closed his eyes as he stood still and lifted his nose to the air. He then began to take in the sent around him. The first thing he noticed was the intertwining scent of him and the female he was with. He quickly pushed that aside along with the other normal scent of the forest... trees, bushes, grass... anything that was normally in a forest. "Hm..."

"Anything," Cam prompted, voice quiet so as not to intrude as his senses so much. Voice control was something she had much practice with, for it made the telling of a story all the more better when you could make different voices that would suit the mood. If you told it right, what others considered boring history could become a fascinating tale of adventure!
Adventure wasn't what she was trying to inspire at the moment though. Rather she kept her tone hushed, just above a whisper state, trying to make it unobtrustive and seemingly blending in to be a natural part of the surroundings.

After sifting through countless smells and waiting he finally caught something. Or so he thought. It wasn't like a normal scent that came with the forest. It didn't smell anything like a tree or any type of plant he had smelled before. "Yeah... I think I got something..." He opened his eyes and looked in the direction. "Its this way..." He turned on his heals and began walking in the direction the scent came from.

Cam trotted along behind Keith, trusting his sense of judgment rather than try to sniff out what he was following herself. After all she had no idea what scent Keith was following personally, and what he found intriguing or interesting she might think was just a common-place forest smell.

Keith began to follow the small scent with confidence. He hopped that it would be something that she would be able to use. He followed the trail for a short wile then came out to a small cliff overlooking the ocean below. He looked around then spotted some type of plant growing in the rocks next to the edge. "Here..." He walked over to it and sniffed it. "This is it..." He nodded then looked at her. "Would this be one of them you're looking for?"

Cam wouldn't help the small smile that spread across her face as she spotted the flowers that Keith stood in front of. He must have a really good nose, or maybe hers was bad. Usually those flowers though, bright white and yellow on tall, leafy stalks, escaped her detection.
"Chamomile. Yes, I suppose that would be a useful flower. Kina may find use for them somehow," she said, voice as soft as her smile.

He looked in surprise blinking as she said the name of the flower. It happened to be the same name as hers. He then smiled. "Your name... you were named after these flowers?" He looked back at them. They were beautiful and looked similar to the flowers on her coat... so he could see why se would have been named after them. His ears then perked up at the mention of a new fox. "Kina? Are they the healer of your Tribe?"

Cam laughed gaily. "Yes, though the patterns on my coat look nothing like them, really! I always thought some of the flowers were more like gold roses. If there is a chamomile plant that has the same patterns, I haven't seen it yet." Nonetheless she had a fond smile on her face, which was still there when she turned to look at Keith as he asked his question.
"Ah, I guess you could say that. Her official title is Head Priestess, and our priestesses are like normal tribe carer's. There are no babies in Caledonia right now though, and healing is part of their normal job." She looked at the chamomile flowers. "I suppose I should bring some back. I don't know if eating the flower is good, but if it's soaked in water it helps with minor aches, burns, and anxiety."
Cam blinked, then made a slightly embarassed face. "I don't know enough about most herbs to be a healer myself, but chamomile was a special exception."((These are chamomile flowers [X]))

He blushed at the fact that he got the flowers on her coat wrong. He hadn't meant to insult her if he had. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to get it wrong." He frowned as his ears went down. "So... you know quite a bit about flowers?" He blushed trying to change the subject a little off the fact that he had misnamed the flower on her coat. He then listened to how the flowers could be used. "And you quite a bit about herbs and remedies."
