Azzo nodded in agreement, "Maybe, at least she knows you care?" He said as he followed Mel inside.
There were tons of toys. He seemed to shuffle through looking occasionally picking up a toy to investigate it. "Soo where would they keep them." He asked curiously seeing many different variations of the eastern dragons and fu dogs.

Raina knew she cared, had to have, with how much she'd set aside recently to come and keep her company. The toy wasn't really to show she cared, but maybe to give her something worth smiling for. She hoped for one of her brightest.
The store was small, nothing like the local franchised toy stores. But it's products were decent and perfect little gifts. She wasn't sure why he'd be having trouble finding the puppets.
Moving to join him, she glanced around then moved for a corner. "Over here it looks like."

Azzo followed her looking around at those that were in the section. Hand brushing over a few of the toys with strings looking at the craftsmanship of them.
He was trying to figure out what might be the best one to invest in not to mention which one looked the best.

There were several to be found, ranging from Chinese dragons to fuu dogs and even a few European dragons, knights and other such animals. Melody picked up one, what many called a Chinese Unicorn, and looked it over before shaking her head. The Final Fantasy design was much cooler looking.
"See anything you like?"

Truth be told, Azzo saw a few he liked. He was currently gazing at the unicorn Melody had picked up regarding it curiously.
"The craftsmanship on these are amazing." He said in a soft tone, almost awed as he letting the Chinese unicorn back down and picking up a particular Chinese dragon and moving it around looking at it. It was moved by way of using two hands, which is actually something he was looking for. He had, had a two hand operated dragon before... It was just gone now.
"What do you think of this one?" He asked as he was looking around at the fuu dogs and other animals.

"I like it a lot," she replied with a smile, setting the Kirin back down to pick up the doll she planned on buying. "It's colors are gorgeous, very eye catching and it looks like it'll hold up quite awhile."

Azzo also picked up a Fuu dog that caught his attention, "I think this one would do nicely too." he said softly after nodding in agreement with Melody.
All the puppets seemed to be fine craftsmanship, some wood with cloth and some had more cloth than others. He was looking around at the other puppets, they were all too amazing. He was having a hard time choosing however the two in his hands seemed to be of the best interest, since there was nothing like them at home.
"I think these two." He said softly with unsure consideration. "What do you think Mel?"

"Sounds good to me," she replied with a nod. Moving for the counter she decided she'd go ahead and buy the doll now while she was waiting on Azzo.
It was another lady at the register, much like at the last store they went to, though this one was much older. Melody struck up conversation with her in Chinese, smiling as they talked. When the order was paid for she bid her farewell then moved to wait for her companion to finish up.

Azzo felt silly not knowing Chinese as he sat the two puppets on the counter. "Heh... um... I'd like to buy these." He said unsure, hoping she did speak English.
As he waited for them to be rung up he looked at Melody, "You're going to have to teach me Chinese if you keep on talking to everyone in Chinese." He said in a sort of low whisper, "I feel silly not being able to at least say thank you."
He was looking back at the Chinese lady who must've heard him because she seemed to be smiling at him. He paid for the two puppets and waited as she placed them in a bag. He'd have to take them out and redo it so the strings wouldn't get tangled later. "Thank you ma'am." He said with a nod of the head.

"You've mentioned wanting to learn once," she reminded him, a slight grin twitching on her lips. "We can set up something at a later date to teach you, okay? Though for future reference, thank you is "xiè xiè"."
When he was done she moved outside the shop just in time for her cellphone to go off. Quickly she answered it, not bothering to look at who could be calling because at this point it could be anyone. And she was hoping it was Ignacio's family with word he'd been found.

Azzo blinked, "xie xie?" He said without the accent looking at Melody.
He followed her outside and tilted his head when she got a phone call. He waited for her quietly as he readjusted the puppets and made sure their strings wouldn't tangle. When she hung up he tilted his head curiously.

She hadn't heard him echo her as she would have corrected his pronunciation of "xiè xiè". As it was she was listening to the person on the other side of the phone. It was Raina and she just wasn't able to cope today.
With a word of promise to the little girl on the other side, Melody hung up with a small sigh and gave Azzo an apologetic look. "I need to cut our day short, Azzo. I'm sorry."

Azzo blinked when Melody hung up. He gave a soft nod, "Alright."
He gave a soft nod, well that seemed to be a bust. "I'll see you later then? Or would you rather me walk you to the bus stop or where ever you're going?" He asked not sure which she wanted.

"I should be fine," she replied with a small smile. Leaning over, she kissed his cheek just slightly then turned to go.
"I'll call you later and we can try and make up the rest of the day another time." With a small wave she bid him farewell then turned to leave down the sidewalk. Raina needed her and she wasn't going to turn down her little sister in one of the hardest times of her life.
Family always came first.
