River nearly skipped as she hurried out of the slum. She nearly caught herself humming too. Just you wait, I'm going to turn you into useful scrap. She thought smiling.

River blinked blurry eyed as she slowly walked the streets of the slum. Reaching the hole in the wall she kicked the front door, to tired to raise her hand and knock. If Dude was not awake, she would have to force herself to climb. She leaned against the door frame and was glad to see a light click on. "What do you want?" Dude asked annoyed. River yawned before she could say, "It's me, River." The door swung open and let her in. "Are you alright?" Dude asked seeing the blood. "I'm fine, why?" She asked raising an eyebrow. "You're covered in blood..." Dude said, raising an eyebrow as well. River blinked trying to kick start her brain, when she remembered Fuzzy showing up. "Oooo, well no big." She said and made her way inside. The second she saw the bag with the armor she was wide awake. "Mind if I use your smelter?" She asked growing excited again. Eying the room before her she spied some things that could be used as molds, with even more back in the workshop. Dude sighed and shook his head raking a hand in his red hair. "Just wash up first. And make sure you get some sleep." He said and locked the door behind River. Bed... He thought almost zombie walked back to his bedroom. river blinked and said a quiet, ok. She took a quick shower then started setting up everything she needed. She tossed ten disks into the kiln and went to work putting together/finding the proper molds she needed. When she returned nothing had happened to the metal. "Oh Come on!" She exclaimed frustrated and took off her glove feeling above the kiln to see how high the heat had gotten. It was cold. "What the..." She muttered and examined the entire thing. That's when she realized she forgot to put on the pilot light. (//Face-palm//)

Slapping her face twice River jolted herself awake. Ok, so every job gets false starts... sometimes. She thought blushing as she started the flame. Alrighty then, NOW it's time to get things in motion. She thought irritated at herself for making such a newbie mistake.

As she waited for the metal to melt, she worked on forming the molds. She was needing 20 disk shapes, which had working on the inside, the springs, pulleys were going to be a pain but it would be worth it. Taking out the blueprints that were in her bag, brought earlier in the day, she started working on the smaller parts, things that could be done now.

She watched carefully the melting metal, being careful to not mess up she finished making the disk molds modifying a pile of break drums. Just in time too, because the metal was soft enough to pore. She carefully used the old ladle to fill the mold. The fourth time poring, the thing nearly fell over, but she managed to save it at the last moment. Sighing deeply trying to calm her heart, she worked a little slower. She then went to work coating the inner workings, to give the pieces fire resistance. She yawned once or twice and found herself starting to get blurry eyed again. Just a little more and she would be done.

After some patience she managed to finish the inner design. The metal was almost cool enough to work with, so all she had to do was put the three parts together. It was the final disk, the one she did not melt that was what caught her attention. She had to make wires with it, twist it with some stainless steel so she had a pulley system that could withstand anything that she added to the chain. Lowering her goggles she went to work slicing up the disk. Excitement, as she neared the completion, was growing.

It was now past early hours, another hour or two it would be daylight. River yawned for about the hundredth time that morning and slipped off her gloves. There... She thought pleased seeing the results. The chain was done. "Bout freaking time." She said sleepily.

With the wee one in bed, giglamesh could now get serious. He would close her door and head back in to the work shop, closing the door, but not locking it just incase she has a bad dream, wets herself, or something the child would contact him over. He would step over to the tool box and remove his belt buckle, which was also a mp3. Nice little gadget river made for his b-day which looks awesome as well. He would plug it in and turn it t9o a certain song and turn it up, way up. The beat would begin and giglamesh would sit back on the stool. It was Disturbed's "Asylum" he would get the hammer, and next piece of Raw magecite ready. then he would raise it and to the beat as it started with "release me!" Giglamesh would strike the mallet down hard in to the magecite, which he was casting Null blaze. The metal was blaring, and the mallet was pounding hard against the stake like piece of magecite. The last enchant he did of haste on his coat, was easy, he was just tracing his own symbol and adding a little extra under it. This time he was simple decorating the coat and around the symbol further, Pretty mush just making a crest and patterns accenting the symbol. Even though they couldn't be seen until he pushed magic threw it, once he did it would give a very incredible look. But he couldnt touch the last enchantment else making both failures. But he should not have a problem with that bcause he was keeping around the last symbol and not trying to touch it or even get incredibly close.

The song had changed to Disturbed's "My child" But he kept going hard as if the song didnt change. He had made a nice little crest around the symbol on his back, and he started to make some crest and rune like marks around the shoulder opening for the sleeves, well where they would be. These he would hammer all the way around the shoulder, up around to the front of the coat as well. But of course he got ahead of himself, and rushed hitting one spot twice, which blasted magic back at him, almost knocking him off the stool. He had to listen to the music, but that reminded him he could not fall deep in to it, if this was a attack spell it would of backlashed, and with all the explosive materiel in the room. It would of blown up the rv. He would of lived threw it more then likly, but a blast f that power might of penatrated mai's room. He had her room armor reinforced much like a heavy tank. the entire rv could be destroyed and only scorch marks would be left on that room. Even still he did not want to chance hurting mai so he would take it down a notch and try to be more carefull, going back to chiseling.

She took off her goggles and aired her shirt a bit trying to cool down. Holy hot... She thought. One last step... after some fresh air. She opened a window and leaned against the window frame inhaling the cool air. Stretching she glanced back at the chain and sighed. Sliding the goggles back over her face she rummaged a desk drawer for a tool she needed. Taking out a large file she grinding any sharp edges, used a soft cloth making sure nothing could catch. It was then she took it outside and took a few practice swings. Pulling the trigger she listened for the faint snapping sounds. Ten of then, in rapid succession. Everything was in working order. She Yawned again and finaly gave into her body's demands. Sleep was calling. So time to go home. She jotted a quick note for Dude and put her gloves on top. Leaving through the front door she ensured the door was locked before she headed home. Sleep. Blessed sleep. She thought dreaming of that little fold out bed.

Giglamesh would finish the crests around the shoulder correctly. While he could not see them he would believe he did a good job, all of this he was doing at the moment he could not see the finished effort, only believe he did them in the right locations.But he had done it many times before so he had plenty or practice doing it so he should be fine. Yet he was rusty he hadnt done any enchantments in a few months, so perhaps he got rusty. Or perhaps it ones of those thing you can not forget how to do correctly. Regardless he would begin to chisel matching like crest patterns on the chest and opening of coat around the collar and such.
