Aila stopped, backpedaling slightly at the sudden appearance of the puddle. What in the world-- And of all things! A pokemon comes out! And growling!
"What impudence," the thief muttered to herself. "Surely you are the charge of one of those foolish guardsmen. Fleur, to me."
The Bulbasaur, who had taken to milling about, exploring the various features of the room, snapped to its trainer's side. This was work, and work was not playtime, and forgetting the difference between the two never ended well for the Seed Pokemon.
Aila drew the bandanna around her neck up to her face and concealed her mouth and nose. She would have to conserve Sleep Powder if she wished to make it out of the museum as planned, but perhaps...
"Sweet Scent."
Fleur shook herself with a brief cry of "saurrr", and the intoxicating aroma wafted from her body.

"Newton, downstairs, go with Aki. Help if he needs it." Nyx whispered to her Drifblim. She had no idea what was down there, and wasn't going ahead without orders.
Newton nodded. It was battle royal time. He couldn't play video games any more, so now, real life was his video game. Time for him to be a bad a**. He disappeared through the floor and came out of the ceiling on the other side.
Ohhh... that smelled good.... Oh hey. What was that? Aki was growling at those people. SWEET! Enemies! Newton swelled up and then, with great force, spit the cameras he'd been saving in his mouth at the bulbasaur and its trainer, bolstered by actual energy. Newton used Spit-Up. Its supper gross.

It was best not to anger the Elite... She watched as the sensors were slowly dismantled. It was painstaking work to watch and hope that none wee triggered, but in the end, they were all taken care of. She glanced over at the grunt who looked a bit smug. I hope he wasn't looking for a compliment from her... she thought to herself. That was very, very unlikely.
Before they pressed on, Cal cough a whiff of something sweet. Skye's ears perked up as he smelled around. What was that smell? She sniffed the air cautiously, her vision blurring. That was defiantly Sweet Scent, even Skye could smell it. She pulled at the mask on her face, making sure that she would get some separation from the sweet smelling fumes.

Aki didn't slip into the puddle fast enough. He caught a wiff of the intoxicatingly sweet smell as he flopped into the puddle with what might have been a purr- that formed bubbles on the surface of the water. He hopped back out; to the side of the bublasaur, and growled again, before opening his mouth wide in a Yawn attack. Though he wavered slightly when he finished, feeling just a bit on the clunky side.

"s**t," Hayes muttered under his breath, spotting the figure on the screen. He looked between his teammates, to the screens, then pulled out his Pokedex. "Tell Nadja - I've got to work on this." He flipped the catch on a metal box on the wall, exposing a row of switches and lights labeled with things like 'Case C-249' and 'Second Floor - Left Stairs' - the motion and vibration sensors. Cameras were a secondary issue now; they were on tape, but they were indistinguishable in stealth gear, and if no one had radio'd for backup, it wouldn't be a problem until they were gone.
The agent made a little "H'n" noise, pressing keys. The light displays changed.. then dimmed to red. The little LED panel now read 'WARNING - SYSTEM UNSECURED.'
There was a low growl at the foot of Kunai's stairs - another Growlithe, fangs bared, and behind him, a slightly groggy-looking guard who hadn't gotten quite enough of Fleur's sleep powder to keep him asleep until morning. "Freeze! Growler, Take Down!" The dog launched itself at the nearest Rocket - who was, unfortunately, Cal.
Reaching the foot of the stairs, Nadja raised her head. Someone had shouted from Kunai's side; this wasn't a stealth mission anymore. Damn it all. Her Dusknoir, half-visible, waved a hand experimentally in the doorway. Nothing, no red lights. The security system was down. Motioning to Mau and Nyx, Nadja strode for the central gallery at a brisk pace.

Aila growled as Fleur suffered the brunt of the Yawn. Its drowsing effects were already taking hold, and the Bulbasaur's eyelids fluttered as she fought to stay awake. The sudden appearance of the Drifblim was enough of a surprise to keep her from fading into the cradle of slumber, but Aila doubted she would be able to hold out much longer.
The thief took good note as the balloon-like creature bloated - an attack of some kind, certainly. She seized her Bulbasaur into her arms and leaped to a side, grateful that she had continued to practice dance and gymnastics in her spare time. This was just the situation for which she had been preparing. And she was glad, no, elated that she had prepared when she saw what issued forth from the Drifblim. Were those... cameras, of all things? It was difficult to tell, amidst all the spittle and... Aila gave her best effort not to look too closely.
She set the still-conscious Fleur back on the ground and, venomous glare fixed on her foe, issued her command, "Razor Leaf. Show me your best." The Bulbasaur, recognizing the subtle urgency in her human's voice, summoned all of her strength and dispensed a whirlwind of blade-like leaves.

Nikki nodded at Hayes and whipped out her Rocket Dex. She used the communications system on it to send Nadja a text message.
"Unknown person attempting to take blue orb. Intercept immediately! Do you need back up?"
Nikki could hear some commotion above them. This wasn't looking very good at all.

Cal turned swiftly at the guard's voice only to receive a swift Take Down to the gut. She was knocked down, hard, sliding back until she hit the base of the stairs with a slight thud. She gasped as she was hit, retching and coughing as she tried to get back up. It felt like that was going to leave more than a bruise. between her coughing, she tried to utter a command, but all that came out was an inaudible attack.
Skye, on the other hand, was standing far enough away not to take the blow. He watched, horrified as she took the attack straight on. He had been too distracted by the sweet scent to notice them coming. He grit his teeth at his error and launched a full Thunderbolt at the Growlith. So much for 'stealth mode'.

And now its time for everyone's favorite part! The dice roll! EVERYONE needs to roll to determine the fate of your character and stick to it!
Please roll 1 20 sided die. 11-20: Your character has come out completely unscathed! 8-10: Your character has received a minor injury! A few scratches, took a fall, etc. Minimal amount of heal time. 6-7: Your character has a significant injury but isn't life threatening. Broken bone, gun shot wound to a non critical area, etc. Still will require a decent amount of heal time. 3-5 : Your character has been captured! Either by the security guards or arriving police. 1-2 : Your character has been seriously injured! Either by gun shot, a Pokemon attack, or some other mishap. This will be near lethal and will require a significant amount of time for healing!

Kunai had not moved yet. She stood there, waiting for all of the sensors to be taken out. When all was done and over, she turned to face the Grunt who had caused that slight snag in security. How dare he smile like he had done something good! She was going to have a grand old time when they were back at HQ reaming Leonard about his incompetence during the mission.
She shot him another intense glare before signaling to go forward. That faint smell touching the air wasn't enough to hinder the Elite. Yet as they began their descent down the stairs, it seemed that the Grunt, Cal, had grown a bit more anxious.
At the end of their current path, there was a puppy Pokemon, fangs bared at them. And what looked like a half-conscious guard.
Strange, the others should not have been on this pathway. Nadja's group was towards the other side of the building, and the group that was mostly composed of Agents also had not hit this pathway either. Either this guard had been taking a nap (which was unlikely), or someone else was also after their orb.
Once more, she wasn't about to speak. She simply gestured towards the guard and the Pokemon, then once more silently gestured for them to dispose of the intruders. The Growlithe was heading towards Cal, and strangely enough, Kunai did not seem to care, just remaining in place near the edge of the stairs, standing to her fullest height of 4'11". True, the stealth aspect of the mission was over thanks to whichever intruder had ruined their plans, but it did not mean she needed to speak out.
Prototype2, abandon the guard and radio and join us at the bottom of the stairs. There is a guard.
(I will roll in my next post)

(Roll included for damage later.)
Aki turned to Aila as Newton distracted the pokemon. Oh, she was standing in the trail of water he'd left! "POOOR!" He changed his poised, and fired an icebeam at her feet, freezing the water around her ankles, insuring she would not be getting to the round thing that Mau wanted.
Mau was right behind Nadja and Nyx as they were waved to the stairs. Nervously, he gripped Nuu's pokeball. Oh god, he hopped he didn't need to use her. s**t, that sounded like an attack! Damn it Aki... he swore to himself.

Were she less conscious about her grace as a lady, Aila would have uttered a particularly loud and nasty obscenity as the Ice Beam literally froze her in place and her Bulbasaur fell asleep in her arms. As it stood, she could only grit her teeth and make angry, angry noises. One of her predicaments, at least, could be remedied with relative ease. She quickly retrieved an Awakening from the bag on her hip - when working with large amounts of Sleep Powder, it was a particularly useful item to have on hand - and tore the spray nozzle off with her teeth, pouring the strongly-scented liquid directly onto Fleur's head. Revitalized, the pokemon leaped out of her trainer's arms and erupted in a loud "SAAAAURR." She was ready and raring to go, for better or for worse.
No, definitely for better, Aila decided as she eyed her ankles. She could use the time Fleur could buy for her.
