"Good," said the elite. A subordinate who listened and learned could be forgiven a mild bout of misguided loyalty. Her merry mood was dampened by the little scientist's outburst the next moment. It was a reminder - the department had just lost a lot of data, and while there was no way to retrieve it, there was someone responsible for everything in the first place.
Nadja narrowed her eyes at some invisible perpetrator. "Someone in Programming," she reasoned, "with more skill than wit."
The redhead reached for her Pokedex to check the time and made an irritated 'tch' at the dark screen. It had been a while, and it seemed like the network should have been up by now. Either her ire was dragging the minutes out or things were actually taking longer than they should.
"H'm." The elite turned and began to head briskly for the elevators.

Nyx nodded and followed Nadja into the elevator. No one had dismissed her, and she was fairly interested in getting her hands on the responsible party. She hated repeating herself, and doing work over was the worst possible form of repeating yourself.

Seth's wire wastebasket, which had spilled its contents and was rolling around in circles, sprouted a pair of black ears and big brown eyes. "Ee?"

There was a groan and a hand raised up from behind Seth's desk before gripping the edge. The elite then managed to pull himself up with a grimace. He would be feeling that for the next couple days thanks to all the bruises he just received.
A sharp glare was then cast towards the wastebasket as it spoke, and Seth's foot reached out to give it a solid kick across the room.

"Ee!" Black fuzz streaked out the wastebasket just before Seth's foot sent it into the wall with a loud 'BONG.'
One floor below, Nadja's pace faltered as she furrowed her brow at the noises echoing through the pipes. Loud noises and ceiling dust from demolitions weren't uncommon from demolitions, but they were located over another part of the labs. This area was beneath the server room. What on earth..
That did not sound like network repair.
When Nyx followed her into the elevator, the redheaded elite seemed to notice her again. "Oh." Her mind was still elsewhere. "You're dismissed," she told her fluffy-haired shadow absently, and stepped out of the elevator to knock sternly on the door to the server room.

TRP arched an eyebrow when Kunai quickly incapacitated the obnoxious Rocket. She rolled her eyes at the question and shrugged, "I'm in no hurry." Looking over Kunai's shoulder her smile suddenly faded and blood drained from her rosy cheeks as she caught sight of what was approaching them, "...though on second thought.."

Nyx frowned as she was dismissed. That was disappointing. She was curious to see what Nadja was going to say to... whoever she was going to talk to.
She pressed one of the buttons in the elevator once Nadja exited it. Maybe it would be best to get some sleep before everyone started cleaning up the mess.

Exiting the elevators and stalking down the hall was none other than Lucere. The boss was flanked by two Executive Agents he seemed to be ignoring.
"We're tracing the source of the problem, sir. It's being handled!" One said, his voice pleading.
"This isn't necessary, sir.. the matter is under control." Explained the other.
Lucere twitched an eyebrow and turned on one of the men, who recoiled two steps, "I've been waiting twenty minutes, Benjamin." He spoke in a sharp, restrained voice that carried all the impact of shouting without the volume. "You keep telling me the matter is under control, but all I can see is an inoperative system being uselessly poked at by incompetents. What's the status of the desert now?"
Benjamin winced, "W..we don't know but there's no reason to-"
"You don't know." Lucere echoed the perspiring man, "The entire Kodo police force could be on their way now and you wouldn't be able to tell. Would you, Benjamin."
Benjamin cast a desperate glance at the other Executive Agent, who was looking at his peer like an unfortunate animal about to be euthanized. "...no."
Lucere's golden eyes narrowed, "Then stop telling me you have the situation under control."
Benjamin nodded mutely and shuffled back two more steps, wringing his hands together.
Lucere turned forward again to resume stalking down the hall. The Executive Agents didn't follow. Eyes still narrowed, he closed in on the highest ranking Agents in view - Kunai and TRP. "You have exactly thirty seconds to tell me what in the hell is going on."

As the ball of black raced out of the trash can, Seth started using expletives that will not be mentioned here in references to the Eevee's parentage and so on.
However, he really didn't have time for this crap, since he had work to do. The longer the database was down, the grumpier people would get. He needed to settle this or ignore it.
"I swear I'll feed you to my Tyranitar if it kills me! ... Later."
A thick book was tossed in the Eevee's direction, before he attempted to sit down and get back to the database.

Kunai might have been short and relatively young looking, but it did not mean she was stupid in the slightest. Agent TRP looked as if she had seen a ghost. Usually such things only happened when a higher ranking Agent was approaching. There weren't many that outranked an Elite in a manner that would make them pale in such a fashion. Using her better judgment, the pink-haired girl spun around and easily saluted the approaching figures. Two figures remained behind, but one continued to approach until he was standing immediately in front of the two elites and the unconscious man on the floor. Her green eyes did not look to her superior. She was not worthy of giving him eye contact. Though she could have easily told him exactly what he wanted before being prompted, she waited for permission before belting out the information he desired in a clear tone. "Sir, yes sir! There was an inappropriate email sent from my email account this morning with a degrading attachment of one of the Elite agents, sir. The Grunt on the floor is responsible for hacking into my email address and sending out a crude photo manipulation of Agent Seth, sir! I am tending to the Grunt One Three Three Seven's reprimand while Agent Seth is sorting to the system reboot, sir!" There was a slight pause before she requested "Permission to take the Grunt down to solitary confinement, sir?!" Most would have probably been sweating bullets, but Kunai was able to keep her cool the entire time, maintaining a professional tone while staring intensely straight in front of her.

Lucere focused on Kunai as she spoke, casting a momentary glance at 1337 when she mentioned the unconscious agent. Once she'd finished her explanation he considered it, brow furrowing. "An inappropriate email doesn't explain why our entire system has been disabled."

With Kunai holding Lucere's attention TRP offered a brief respectful bow to her superior before edging away. Once clear of the pair she found herself practically sprinting to Seth's office. Ignoring the nearby Nadja completely, she threw the door open without knocking, stepped in and slammed it behind her, "Please tell me it wasn't you."

One minute Hayes was saluting TRP with his usual mild smile - which changed to a grin at the Jirachi's declaration - and about to answer her question when a kunai knife thudded into the wall.
The next minute Kunai was on the scene, 1337 was being 1337, and Hayes had quietly slipped away. He would keep heading for the tech department, where he'd be useful and marginally safer.
He hadn't been trained for stealth, but in this work environment the quality just sort of evolved.

At the boss' prompting, Kunai proceeded to offer an explanation. Perhaps it was best he was asking the pink-haired agent, for she was not exactly the sort to sugar-coat things. "The picture was of Agent Seth, and it was his own decision to shut down the system to ensure any evidence of the offending photo-manipulation was destroyed. Though, at the same time, several hard copies of the offending photo-manipulation were printed." She dared not budge or lower her saluting arm. She just stood there, waiting for further instructions.

"Vee!" the creature squeaked, and watched the book sail over its head.
A few moments later, crumpled up notes and coffee cups were being pushed around, and there was the sound of enthusiastic gnawing. When TRP threw open the door there was a flash of black, leaving an overturned wastebasket and strewn-about trash in its wake.
A paper cup wobbled and tipped over.
Nadja paused at the lurid imprecations coming from behind the door and seemed to rethink her decision. It was made for her in the next second when another woman rushed past her without so much as a glance and slammed the door behind her.
Well.
The redhead raised a brow and went back downstairs.
