User ImageDamnit, damnit, DAMNIT! This was not what the tiger had in mind about dying. Dying from old age or sick disease, sure he could handle that. Dying from being killed, not what he wanted but at least it showed he tried his best to prove his power. But to die in an inferno hell with a fiery timber falling toward them was not what Rajin wanted to die.

Sure fire was his weakness to his kind, but damnit, he did not plan of winning his battle in a blazing glory LITERALLY! Man, talk about your bad luck.

Well, no matter. What he and the kid needed to do was run their asses as fast as possible. Maybe if they ran sideway away from where the timber was about to fall, then maybe they could be safe. All that they needed to do was to time their jump to get out of the way.

But before he could tell the swordsman about his idea, he heard the kid apologized... What? The tiger thought dumbfounded. Rajin turned his head around and asked.

"What the hell are you-" Rajin was quickly interrupted when the kid shoved him hard. Since when did the kid had enough strength to push a laguz, whose weight was twice as heavy as the kid?

The tiger instantly tumbled toward the ground and rolled, away from where the kid was at. Small pebbles were pinching against his body as he rolled. He could feel his side was beginning to ache, but not enough to cause an injury. When he stopped rolling, his head felt lightly dizzy from the roll.

"Damnit kid..." Rajin cursed while he lied down on the floor. When he and that kid were going to get out of the hellhole, he was going to smack that kid upside the head for shoving him. Seriously, why did the swordsman push him for? But as he tried to get up, he heard a loud crash before him.

Rajin instantly pressed his hands against his ears. Damnit! The crash was so loud, his ears were ringing. If that kid was around here, he was going to sock that kid and-

The tiger's annoyance suddenly dropped from what he saw before him. Right in front of him was the swordsman. However, the kid had his leg caught under the fiery timber. s**t! The kid had got to ******** kidding him. What was that kid trying to do? Be a hero? Damn... It was no wonder why Rajin sometimes found beorc nuisance.

Not going to like what he was about to do, Rajin went up to where the timber fell and placed his hands underneath it. Although the timber should feel warm to the swordsman due to the thickness of the material, it was fiery hot for the tiger. It made Rajin wanted to snap his hands away from the timber. However, he had to help the kid out.

The heat from the fire was licking against his skin as he struggled to lift the timber up. The flames were and were nearby him, but they made him feel suffocated. The tiger was starting to feel pass out from the heat. No... This is not the time to pass out. They had to get out of here.

"Kid, you've better stayed alive once we get out of this." Rajin's voice sounded strained as he lifted the timber up, just enough for the swordsman to remove his leg from underneath. Once the kid's leg was out of harm way, the tiger instantly let go of his holding and backed away from the fiery timber. He looked at his arms and hands.

His arms and hands were covered in big red welts, throbbing aching from what the timber had caused him. Damnit! Although the tiger was not injured, it would take hours for the swellings to cool down. Great, this was what he got from entering the fiery pit of hell.

Now that they were out of harm way, the tiger turned to check on the kid. Besides his leg being injured, the kid was okay. That was good...

SMACK!

Rajin socked the kid at the back of the head, giving the kid an instance headache. There was an annoyed look that made it looked like he was angry. "Don't ever pull that s**t again!"

He then grabbed the swordsman's wrist and pulled the kid onto his back. Seeing how much damaged that leg was, that swordsman would need more healing than just the vulnerary he had. After making sure that the swordsman was securely onto his back, Rajin jogged out of the area, looking for any medical help nearby. The weight of the kid would slow his speed down, but he wouldn't need to worry as long as they got out of the place.

"Don't worry, kid. We'll find someone to heal you." Rajin told the swordsman as he continued to jog. Damn, if only the corpses and the smell of fire wasn't rendering his sense of smell to find the healers.

Five. Five. Feh, what was five to Skrimir? Memories of the Goddess War bubbled up in his mind, at times sweet in battle-- others... he shoved those failures down quickly. His claws were all he needed for five.

Skrimir barely noticed the other man (another Lancer? The harried one and the Wyvern had escaped-- cowardly, but warranted) as he nearly trod him into the ground, leaping at the enemy. Daggers nicked him, yes-- barely a scratch. Not even blood. Skrimir nearly laughed as he crushed one underpaw, feeling his weight snap one neck to start.

Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a flurry of movement through the air as one leapt at him with knives bared. There wasn't any time to dodge; not quite. Skrimir twisted out of the way a bare six inches and felt the cold metal scrape his fur, sharp point raking the hide so dangerously close to drawing blood. Skrimir's mind protested. No! Am I out of practice? How dared he?!

His jaws seized the assailant, and in a terrible display he lifted the body off the ground, rearing back on his hind legs to shake the rogue like a rag doll. Then he threw him against a building to result in an instant of snapping bone, and then a limp broken corpse.

From stance on high, enormous bulk lifted above the heads of his opponents, Skrimir bore down upon them with the force of a tidal wave.

Damn, this was not good at all. The mercenary had a feeling he wasn't going to make it as he dropped his head back onto the ground. He believed that the Laguz wouldn't come to save him, especially since the timber was on fire. What were the odds? Guess this is the end for the blue-haired mercenary, death under a large flaming timber piece.

He was slowly closing his eyes, when a voice from above caused him to open them and look up as he heard that familiar voice. Right above him was the tiger he fought with and he was trying to get the boy free from the timber. Oujay just looked at the laguz with surprise. Why? He didn't understand why the laguz would actually help him.

Oujay was beginning to feel less weight on his injured leg. He was actually doing it. The laguz was lifting the timber off of his leg, even when it was on fire. The swordsman knew that he shouldn't waste his chance on this moment. Slowly and painfully, he forced himself to endure all the pain as he moved his leg out and free from the fiery timber. Eventually his leg did make it out and another thump was heard as the laguz dropped the timber and backed away from it.

Alive. He was still alive thanks to the laguz for rescuing him. It seems as though the swordsman live for another day...

SMACK!

Oujay suddenly felt really dizzy as his head was pulsing from immense pain. Did he suddenly just get a giant headache? He looked up when the laguz told him to never pull another stunt like that again. He also realized that it was the tiger that had punched him. However, he couldn't help but chuckle again, he deserved that punch for pulling off a stupid stunt. Maybe he was trying to be a hero, he wasn't so sure himself.

Eventually, he was dragged onto the back of the tiger. Oujay felt a bit like a bother for the laguz, having him drag the swordsman around. "Thank you," he replied to the laguz. There wasn't much the boy could do anymore so he just closed his eyes and rested while the tiger searched for a healer.

Morgan:

The bandit swung down his axe, but missed entirely as his opponent had slid right through his very legs! The gawking brigand turned around clumsily and stared. ...Did the man forget he was there? He was looking beyond the danger in front of him. The bandit yanked himself around to see what his opponent was looking at and saw that some other bandits had captured those kids. He chuckled, then turned back. ...He never should have looked away from his enemy.

As for the well-being of the children, the magician would be relieved at the sight of Learanian cavalry on the scene. Reinforcements from the capital led by the crew member Skrimir had come! The horses galloped down the streets and side-streets, clearing out the remaining bandits, thus saving the village stragglers.

Several cavalry came down the street the child snatchers were on and speared the brigands in the back. One dodged and began to run away after discarding the boy. The cavaliers reared around and secured the children. They needed protection. But the magic user not far away had another bandit heading right for him, now. "Hey!" one of the cavaliers called out to him. Hopefully he would turn to see the brigand in time.

(Don't worry, you're allowed to control 'generic' enemy units and stuff. c: )

Shadow Guild Fighters:

The remaining members of the Shadow Guild fled at the sight of what had happened to their squad leader. Their leader was a master of stealth, a genius at tactics when on a mission. Even his hooked daggers had barely injured the lion! They didn't stick around to receive the same fate.

It was definitely a win for Learania.

Morgan

Morgan was indeed relieved by the sight of Learanian calvary appearing. The reinforcements made quick work of the remaining bandits, clearing them out of the village. Many of them ganged up on the two bandits holding the children. One was speared in the back. The other released his captive and fled. The children were in the hands of the cavaliers now. Safe. Morgan thought that he should thank them, but one of the soldiers shouted a warning to him. He wheeled around to face the last bandit charging him with his axe.

Morgan had enough time and space to summon another volley of Elfire. The bandit, caught in the flames, was left a smoldering corpse, just as his partner earlier. It was over now.

The magic user turned back to the calvary. "Thank you," he said to them. He probably wouldn't have been able to rescue the children without their help. Morgan knelt down beside the boy and asked, "Are you alright? I hope they didn't hurt you." He glanced around for the little girl. Where was she? "Where is your sister?"

(( Ok. I just feel kind of weird about killing other people's NPCs without permission.

I-I can't stop listening to Recaman's song. D: ))
