Sardar willingly followed her to explore the rest of the house. Each of her soft kisses made him want to pull her closer, made him want more of touch, her affections. He busied himself by studying how perfectly her hand fit into his and taking in the rest of the home. "It truly is perfect.." he murmured softly, feeling almost guilty he had found so much happiness without Tacita.

Even though the place was tiny, Eva showed him everything from the spit over the fireplace to the charcoal sketches of her family members hanging on the wall. Evadne couldn't draw to save her own life, but one one of her younger sisters had drawn them for her before she left. After showing him everything down to the very mouse holes in the larger room, she led him into the bedroom.
Her chest proudly puffed out just the tiniest bit when he described it as perfect. She had never thought of it as such, but now that he was here sharing it with her... yeah, it was perfect. However, despite the happiness that she could almost feel radiating from him, she caught something else in his voice. Sadness? Regret? Guilt? Her hears flickered in concern and she squeezed his hand gently, "Are you alright?"

Sardar smiled at Eva, not wanting her to worry about his own worrying. "I'm alright, Eva." His voice was back to it's happy warmth as he looked around the bedroom. He was getting thoughts, many thoughts. The house was comfortable for both of them, as far as he could tell. Maybe even a visitor or two sometimes, though it might be a little crowded with four. His tail wagging, he snuggled her close. "I love you, it's so perfect here with you."

Eva leaned into his embrace, a smile again working it's way, unbidden back onto her face. She worked her arms around his waist, bring them even closer. With one hand, she absentmindedly ran her fingers through his silvery wolf fur.
The bedroom was small and the large bed took up most of it. It would be silly to make him sleep on the floor when the bed was plenty big enough for the both of them. Besides, the closer she was to Sardar, the happier she'd be. "I hope you don't mind sharing a bed with me. You might not think it's so perfect when I put my paws in your back." She teased lightly; she'd always been told she was a bit of a restless sleeper.

"I would be crazy to mind sharing a bed with you," Sardar laughed a little, "I'm sure I've had worse than paws in my back before. I'll just shift around a bit." He grinned at her, wrapping one arm around her shoulders. He was kind of glad he didn't have anything to bring with him, minus the few supplies he usually kept with him.

"Yeah well, we'll see if you still feel this cheery the next morning." She said, returning his grin with a playful one of her own. After a moment, her tail began wagging again, "So, your first day in your new home, what do you want to do first?"

Sardar grinned, placing a sweet kiss on her cheek. "We'll see." He gave her a playful wink, "I wouldn't mind just spending my time today being near you. I just can't seem to get enough of you." he wondered how she would react.

Evadne had to fight hard to keep for giggling like an idiot. As it was, she couldn't stop the happy grin that curled her lips at his words. She completely reciprocated his feelings; she didn't care what she did today or any other day from that moment on, as long as she did it with him.
But what should we do? she thought. Hmm, she could think of all kinds of things she wanted to do with him, for him or to him... But where to start?
"I could show you the garden or make you some dinner... or we could just stay in." She smiled lovingly up at him and squeezed his hand gently. "Whatever you want, I'm all yours."

Sardar grinned widely at his love. "Perhaps we can cook a romantic dinner and stay inside, starting fresh tomorrow to explore the garden?" He kissed her hand. Resting his cheek on her hand for a moment, an idea came to him. "I could try to help you cook, I'm not horrible."

"Sounds like a plan." Evadne smiled softly, relishing the feel of his lips on her skin. She returned his kiss with one on the cheek before leading him back out to the main room.
Reluctantly letting go of his hand, Eva pulled out a basket of mushrooms and a few vegetables she'd gotten from the garden that morning. Various dried herbs and spices hung upside down from the ceiling. She also had plenty of nuts, bread, a block of cheese and some fruit. She frowned, "I haven't had the chance to hunt so I'm afraid I don't have any meat for us." She bent down, her tail swishing through the air as she next pulled out a pot and a few dishes.
Standing back up with an eager smile on her face, she surveyed the ingredients. "We could saute the mushrooms and veggies... Hmm... and maybe we could melt down the cheese and dip things in it. I heard of a place that does that in town." Her tail wagged happily as she looked up at him.

Sardar's ears perked up at her description of what their meal could be like, his tail still wagging softly. "It's alright. We can go hunting soon. Besides, that meal already sounds wonderful." He knew how to melt the cheese. His mother had always tried to teach him how to cook, and that was one of the few things he was good at when it came to the kitchen. He could bring home the game, but he couldn't cook it.
He watched her eagerly, always fascinated by the art of cooking. "Just tell me what to do and I'll do it." He was eager to help and to eat, but he didn't want to be in the way or somehow mess it up.

"Well, I'm no chef, but we'll see how this turns out." She smiled before looking back at the ingredients, narrowing her eyes in thought as she planned out how to do this...
"Okay." Eva nodded as she decided on a plan of attack. "If you can chop up the veggies for me, I'll go ahead and get the fire started. Then we'll fix the veggies and melt the cheese. We can slice the fruit last so it doesn't brown." She smiled and her tail started wagging again, excited at the prospect of cooking with Sardar.

Sardar grinned, taking his place at the cutting board, knife in hand with vegetables prepared to be chopped. He wasn't great but was pretty decent. "Don't worry, I'm sure you're a better chef than I have ever been." He began to chop them small, with fair speed.
"I've melted cheese before if you want me to do that after I've finished the vegetables." He was excited. Sure, they were fixing a pretty simple dinner, but this was the start of a whole new life.

It didn't take long to get a fire started, Evadne had bedded down the coals after breakfast that morning and it was just a matter of adding kindling to start a flame in the simple, wood-burning iron stove. After that, she added a couple smaller logs. "That'd be great!" She beamed, "While you take care of the cheese, I'll cook the vegetables." She brought out some butter, a pan and a clove of garlic.
Once the stove was sufficiently hot, Eva threw the butter and a crushed clove of garlic in the pan. She handed Sardar the small pot to melt the cheese in and pulled out a small jug of milk to make it a little saucier. Eying the vegetables he'd chopped, her tail wagged, "Not bad at all. I think you're underestimating your abilities." She reached up and stole a quick kiss from him on her way past.
Turning back to her cooking, she paused only to open a window; as hot as it was outside, it was marginally cooler than the inside of the cottage now that the stove was radiating heat. Glancing out the window as she stirred, she could see a few clouds in the distance. Hopefully, some rain would come and with it, cooler weather.

Sardar grinned at her praise on his vegetables, leaning into her quick kiss. "Chopping and cooking aren't exactly the same." he chuckled softly, remembering how disgusted everyone had been when he had completely ruined their meals. It only took a few tries for his mother to realize he couldn't judge how long things needed to be cooked or how much to spice them. That's why Tacita was the cook of the two. Her meals were edible.
Setting the cheese in the pot he was handed, he set it carefully over the fire, watching it closely. Once it started to melt a little, he stirred it continuously and added milk as he felt was needed. His tail wagged happily as he glanced over at the cooking Evadne, seeing her looking outside. It was quite tempting just to sit and watch her cook, but he didn't want her doing all the work by herself. Keeping his attention back to his job, he couldn't help but hum lightly in the cheerful and loving aura.
